Gerard Butler came home to find what many Californians are discovering in the middle of raging wildfires across the state -- his home has been burned to ashes.

The "300" star posted a devastating photo Sunday showing his Malibu home burnt to a crisp. He says this is what he came to find after being evacuated from the area -- like many other stars have already been -- and called it a "heartbreaking time" in the Golden State.

Gerard also filmed himself walking up to the rubble, some of which was still smoldering. He says half of his property is gone.

Fortunately, the actor's trying to stay positive about the loss, saying he was inspired by the courage, spirit and sacrifice of firefighters who are battling the flames. He thanked the Los Angeles Fire Department and asked his followers to support them if they could.

Camille Grammer also lost her home to the Woolsey fire, as have nearly 200 other homeowners in Southern California ... which could possibly get worse before weekend's end.

Update: 11/11 10:16 AM -- It has been confirmed by an autopsy that Ian Long was killed by self-inflicted gunshot wounds, he was not shot by the police.

Ian Long -- the former Marine who killed 12 people in a country music bar allegedly suffered from severe PTSD, but there's no record of him ever contacting the Corps for help ... so says the military.

Long served in Afghanistan from 2010 to 2011 and left the service in 2013 after a final stint in Hawaii. Shortly after the massacre, former neighbors of Long revealed he had a long history of PTSD ... and a classmate of his told us the same thing.

We reached out the Marines to see if the military branch had any evidence of Long's condition and if they acted appropriately, but we were told the Marines have no record Ian ever indicated he was suffering. A rep for Veteran's Affairs tells us he was never enrolled in VA health care at any time.

Of course, Long could still have seen a doctor or counselor outside of the Marines, but it's interesting he didn't see military docs.

TMZ broke the story ... Long posted to social media during the attack, writing, "I hope people call me insane .. wouldn't that just be a big ball of irony? Yeah ... I'm insane, but the only thing you people do after these shootings is "hopes and prayers" .. or "keep you in my thoughts" ... every time ... and wonder why these keep happening ..."

He was shot dead by police.

Firefighters fought valiantly to save the home, but the fire was just too ferocious. It burned to the ground Saturday night.

So far, 177 homes have been lost in the Woolsey fire and things could get a lot worse. The Santa Ana winds are expected to kick up Sunday morning and last for 2 days. The winds are the most treacherous condition firefighters have been battling.

All of Malibu has been evacuated. Lots of people are enraged that Donald Trump has cast blame on Californians on the fires ... a baseless claim that only makes a terrible situation even worse.

Pete Davidson addressed his controversy head-on last night by apologizing to Dan Crenshaw in person and on 'SNL.'

The war veteran and Republican politician appeared Weekend Update with Pete Davidson where Pete sincerely apologized to Dan, and Dan accepted, but not before giving Pete a taste of his own medicine. The icing on the cake is when Dan's phone rings, you have to hear the ringtone.

When the jokes settled, Dan used the moment to urge Americans to come together and forgive. A touching moment during these super-divisive times.

Caitlyn Jenner is lucky -- like Powerball lucky -- because her multi-million dollar Malibu home appears to have narrowly dodged any structural damage in SoCal's raging wildfire.

This aerial pic, shot Saturday morning, shows hot spots still smoldering just outside the fencing of Caitlyn's 3,500 square foot house -- which is perched in the hills above Malibu. On Friday a source connected to the Jenner-Kardashians told us the mansion had been torched -- they clearly spoke too soon.

It's clear, though, the Woolsey fire's path came dangerously close as it burned out of control toward the Malibu beach area.

Caitlyn posted a video Friday saying she was safe but did not know the fate of her home. She knows now ... it's safe.

Caitlyn Jenner's home in the Malibu hills is no more -- it was destroyed in Southern California's raging wildfires ... TMZ has learned.

Caitlyn's pad, which was featured on her reality show, sat on top of a ridge overlooking the Malibu beach area -- and, unfortunately, it is the same area where the Woolsey fire is burning out of control. Our sources say the home went up in flames Friday as the fire burned toward Malibu.

She has been in the home since 2015, and she's had to deal with natural disaster issues before. Just last year, winds as high as 60 MPH tore the roof off the 3,500 square foot, 4-bedroom spread.

As we reported, Kim Kardashian West ... as well as Khloe and Kourtney ... evacuated their homes on Thursday night. The fire finally reached Kim and Kanye's Hidden Hills mansion on Friday afternoon.

The fire's burned more than 14,000 acres so far, and forced the evacuation of more than 75,000 homes across Ventura and Los Angeles Counties.

Early Friday, officials issued a mandatory evacuation for all of Malibu as the blaze burned almost completely out of control.

Borderline Bar and Grill -- the scene of Wednesday night's massacre -- plans to reopen its doors once the police investigation is complete ... TMZ has learned.

Troy Slaten, attorney for Borderline owner Brian Hynes, tells us they'll absolutely open again for business. He says Hynes continues to work with law enforcement as they investigate the mass shooting -- but eventually they're going to open.

He says they don't have a timetable yet as to when that will be.

As you know, retired Marine Ian Long stormed the bar and killed 12 during College Country Night before police shot and killed him. Witnesses and first responders described the scene inside the bar as incredibly disturbing and blood-soaked.

Eric Wynalda -- the former soccer star who was once the all-time leading scorer for the USMNT -- says his home just burned down in the California wildfires ... and he had to watch it on live TV.

Flames have ravaged Southern California since Thursday afternoon ... and Wynalda says his house was one of the casualties of the destruction.

In fact ... the former MLS star tells the San Diego Union-Tribune he had to watch it burn down on a local news station after he evacuated early Friday morning.

"We lost our home but we are safe," Wynalda confirmed on his Twitter page ... "You can rebuild homes, replace belongings, you can’t replace life. We cannot forget that now more than ever."

"Please support the ones who need it the most and continue to honor those who serve to keep us safe. Count your blessings folks- I am."

Wynalda retired from the USMNT as the all-time leading scorer (34 goals in 106 appearances) ... and held the record until Landon Donovan caught it back in 2007.

Only Lil Pump could make a mandatory wildfire evacuation a recreational activity -- and he did it as the flames were racing into his backyard.

Pump was still in his Calabasas home on Friday afternoon when he started feeling the heat, and decided it was time to get the hell out. The 18-year-old rapper threw a bunch of his stuff in large plastic containers as he got ready to leave.

Just watch how he used giant spiral staircase to get all his stuff downstairs -- turning the evacuation into more of a carnival game. Hardly the adult approach, but it was efficient.

Pump got a rude awakening though when he saw the fire had reached his property, and bolted in his ride ... shirt off for some reason. In any event ... looks like he's safe.

Singer August Alsina posted a video of his own backyard with flames getting dangerously close to his home. He evacuated the property.

No confusing ending to figure out here ... "Westworld" is up in flames, or at least one of the sets where it's shot is ... courtesy of the SoCal wildfires.

The Western Town set at Paramount Ranch was engulfed Friday by the Woolsey Fire. By all accounts, the flames have burned the whole area beyond recognition. The set is one of the main filming locations for the HBO series.

Authorities say the fire has destroyed all the buildings on set, and firefighters have been getting anywhere near the location. Dozens of nearby homes in the area have also been torched.

The shooter who terrorized college students at Borderline Bar & Grill was shockingly on social media as he shot a dozen people dead, and, based on what we now know, it sounds like they were revenge killings.

Law enforcement sources tell us Ian Long held a gun in one hand and his phone in the other, posting messages on his Instagram during Wednesday night's massacre.

Our sources say investigators discovered the messages on Long's page several hours after the shooting and contacted Instagram to delete his page. We don't know precisely what he was saying, but it appears he had a grudge he was carrying out.

A former classmate of Long's tells TMZ, Long was bullied in high school. She says his fellow students made fun of him because he had a lazy eye, and it affected him deeply. The classmate says a lot of those students go to that bar on Wednesday nights. She says he knew some of the people who teased him would be there.

We're told he was a regular at the bar, usually keeping to himself ... grabbing a beer and sitting at the bar.

As we reported, Long served in Afghanistan from 2010 to 2011 as a decorated member of the Marines. His classmate says Long suffered serious PTSD after his tour and tried to get help from therapists and doctors. We're told he also reached out to the military for help, but his mental health was in bad shape.

1:05 PM PT -- Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, April has received at least 2 serious threats. The first one came in September ... someone emailed her and said, "Your not black. Your a loser with a big mouth that need slapped. If I ever see you, you're slap is coming. Go eat more s***."

The other came last month. April got a letter from a guy who claimed to be an ex-Army Ranger. He said, "I know who you are; what you look like; where you work; where you live, and what you drive ... so I think I'll pay you a visit soon. Trust me -- it will be the worst day of your life!"

April Ryan has security to protect her from the crazies who might actually view her as an "enemy of the people" ... after a series of verbal attacks by President Donald Trump.

April appeared Thursday on "TMZ Live," and we asked if she was receiving death threats after Trump rudely told her to sit down when she tried asking a question about voter suppression. It's the latest Trump attack against the American Urban Radio Networks Correspondent.

April didn't want to talk about specific threats, but made it clear she has a security team in place, which seems to be a reality of life for White House Correspondents who raise the President's ire.

Ryan made it clear ... she doesn't live in fear and will not back down ... but she's clearly taking precautions.

Congressman Gerry Connolly says CNN White House Correspondent Jim Acosta was set up by Donald Trump ... set up to humiliate him during Wednesday's news conference.

We got Connolly in D.C. Thursday and he seemed certain, there was a script behind the move by an intern to grab the mic Acosta was holding after the fiery exchange with the Prez.

Trump went full bore on Acosta, telling him he was a terrible person and unfit to cover The White House. By the way, Acosta's been covering 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. for the last 5 years.

While ripping into Acosta, Trump accused him of being extremely rude to Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders. There's no denying Sarah and Jim have gone to battle several times during press briefings -- with the fireworks frequently going off live on the web and TV.

11:30 AM PT -- The CEO, along with the President of FOX News, released a joint statement, saying, "The incident that took place at Tucker's home last night was reprehensible. The violent threats and intimidation tactics toward him and his family are completely unacceptable."

The statement continues, "We as a nation have become far too intolerant of different points of view. Recent events across our country clearly highlight the need for a more civil, respectful, and inclusive national conversation. Those of us in the media and in politics bear a special obligation to all Americans, to find common ground."

FOX News Channel's Tucker Carlson's home came under siege Wednesday night while he was at work, as his wife was left alone to fend for herself.

Tucker's wife, Susie, called cops around 6:30 PM ET to report a mob that had formed outside the Carlson home in D.C. Several people in the crowd started banging on the front door.

According to a police report, obtained by TMZ, the mob was chanting loudly with a bullhorn. Susie retreated to a rear room in the house and dialed 911. When police arrived, cops say they found around 20 people who had sprayed an anarchy symbol on the driveway.

Video obtained from outside the home shows the group chanting, "Racist scum bag, leave town." The group has reportedly been identified as an Antifa-affiliated group called Smash Racism DC.

Aside from the anarchy symbol, cops say they also found multiple signs posted on cars in Tucker's driveway and the front door that made reference to his political affiliation -- Republican.

Tucker was not home at the time of the incident ... it's unclear if his and Susie's 4 children were home. He recently said he avoids eating out because he doesn't want people confronting him.

We've seen quite a lot of that lately within the GOP ... from Mitch McConnell to Senator Cruz, and others.

French Montana wants people across the globe to embrace immigration and universal health care, and he's spreading his message of peace and love throughout the Middle East.

The rapper wears his immigrant status on his sleeve in a series of GQ covers across the region, with the images aiming to promote peace.

French touches on everything from immigration to health care ... telling the mag, "immigration means everything to me. It means hope, it means faith, it means a voice for the people that come from different places and build a country."

FM also has a strong stance on health care ... saying it should be a right and not a privilege.
