Saints' Foster Moreau Devastated Over Late Drop 'It's A Dark Place To Be'
Saints tight end Foster Moreau was emotional after dropping a touchdown pass that could've sent his team into overtime on Thursday night ... admitting the play put him in "a dark place."
The 26-year-old, who beat cancer to return to the field this year, had a chance to help New Orleans tie its "Thursday Night Football" game against the Jaguars with just seconds remaining on the clock ... but the TD pass slipped right through his fingertips -- and the Saints went on to lose, 31-24.

Afterward, Moreau -- seemingly on the verge of tears -- called his effort on the play "unacceptable" and "pathetic."
"It's tough," Moreau said. "In front of every man, woman and child I've ever known. It's a dark place to be."

Moreau's teammates, however, had the guy's back ... with superstar running back Alvin Kamara saying the drop was not the sole reason the Saints lost.
In fact, Kamara was the one who helped get Moreau off the bench after the game ... and in a meeting with reporters inside the locker room following the defeat, he said he told Moreau the moment can't even remotely compare to what he's been through in his fight against Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
"I just told him, man, he's blessed for what he's been through," Kamara said. "That ain't nothing."
Moreau won't have to wait too long to avenge the drop ... the 3-4 Saints play next on Oct. 29 against Indianapolis.

We obtained video of Graham prior to the arrest ... showing staffers chasing him as he ran through the resort grounds.

Alvin Kamara Suspended 3 Games ... For Vegas Beatdown
-
Breaking News

Alvin Kamara's football season will start a little later this year ... the NFL just announced they've suspended the Pro Bowl running back 3 games for his role in a brawl in Las Vegas last year.
28-year-old Kamara, who was facing a felony battery charge, struck a plea with prosecutors last month, ultimately pleading no contest to a lesser misdemeanor charge. Alvin has to complete 30 hours of community service and make a 6-figure payment to the victim, who was seriously injured.
With the criminal case closed, it was just a matter of time before the NFL announced AK's punishment ... and that finally happened on Friday.
"Alvin Kamara of the New Orleans Saints and Chris Lammons of the Indianapolis Colts are suspended for their teams’ first three regular season games of the 2023 season for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy, the NFL announced today."
"The suspensions stem from their involvement in a February 2022 incident at a Las Vegas establishment."
FYI, Lammons was also involved in the incident.
The fight happened on February 5, 2022 -- the day before the Pro Bowl -- at the Cromwell Hotel ... where Kamara was seen, along with several other men, putting a beating on another man near a bank of elevators.
Cops said Kamara punched the man at least 8 times.
For his part, AK has accepted responsibility ... he even spoke about the incident at practice on Friday.
"It's a tough ordeal to be in," Kamara said. "You know, I never want to be involved in something where someone gets hurt or severely injured or anything. Poor judgment on my end, definitely a bad decision, but I'm a man. Everything I've ever done in my life, I've stood on. And I can take accountability for it and I can say when I'm wrong and I was completely wrong."
Alvin, a former 3rd-round draft pick and 5-time Pro Bowler, is heading into his 7th season with the New Orleans Saints.
Kamara will miss the Titans, Panthers, and Packers game ... and will be eligible to play in New Orleans against the Bucs on October 1.

Alvin Kamara has cut a deal with prosecutors in his Las Vegas assault case, TMZ Sports has learned ... and the whole episode could now be put behind the New Orleans Saints star in just a matter of weeks.
According to court documents filed in Nevada on Tuesday, Kamara has agreed to enter a no-contest plea to a lesser charge of misdemeanor breach of peace in the case.
Kamara agreed that as punishment, he'll perform 30 hours of community service, pay a $500 fine, and shell out $105,196.17 to Darnell Greene -- the man who claimed the NFL running back beat the hell out of him during an incident a The Cromwell Hotel and Casino in February 2022.
According to the docs ... prosecutors accepted Kamara's stipulations -- and in exchange, they said they'd drop the charges of felony battery and misdemeanor conspiracy to commit battery that they had initially hit him with following the incident.
The agreement has yet to be signed off by a judge -- though that is expected to happen at a hearing later this month.
In addition, Kamara also closed out his civil case with Greene on Wednesday -- according to Greene's attorney, Tony Buzbee.
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
In a social media post, Buzbee said the two sides "settled on confidential terms" -- while adding that Kamara signed a public mea culpa as part of the settlement that read, "Please accept my sincere apologies for the events of February 5, 2022 in Las Vegas."
Greene had initially accused Kamara of getting violent with him at an elevator near Drai's at around 6:30 AM. Greene said the altercation all started because Kamara wouldn't let him on the lift ... adding that he suffered serious facial injuries in the confrontation. He sued, and sought $10 million in compensatory and punitive damages.
Kamara, meanwhile, was arrested over the allegations following the '22 Pro Bowl ... though he played the entire 2022-23 season for the Saints, starting 13 games and rushing for 897 yards.

Hawk said on Wednesday's 'Pat McAfee Show' the terrifying incident went down in South Florida earlier this week ... when Graham was cruising on two wheels on Miami roadways.

Two months after his cancer diagnosis, free agent tight end Foster Moreau has found a new home in the NFL -- he's just signed with the Saints.
Moreau agreed to a three-year, $12 million deal with New Orleans on Wednesday, his agent announced ... and according to a report from Saints beat writer Nick Underhill, the 26-year-old has already been cleared to suit up for New Orleans as early as this month.
Welcome Home @fhmoreau 🐯#Saints pic.twitter.com/ylioQs6T81
— New Orleans Saints (@Saints) May 10, 2023 @Saints
The news is incredible ... considering back in March, doctors discovered Moreau had Hodgkin's Lymphoma -- a type of cancer that affects the body's immune system.
Moreau had called the news "life-changing" ... and said he was going to step away from football so he could battle the disease.
During an April interview with "Good Morning America," the former fourth-round pick said the cancer had spread slowly, but he felt confident he could overcome it.
“It’s at stage 2, so it’s spread from the initial location," Moreau said on GMA. "But, it appears to be a slow spread, and we should be able to get rid of all of it."
Now, according to Underhill, Moreau's made such good progress, he's "not expected to have any limitations" when he straps on his helmet for the Saints in 2023.
"You only have a finite amount of time on this Earth," the former Raiders tight end previously said following his cancer diagnosis. "For me, I'm gonna make it count. And right now, making it count is whuppin’ up on cancer’s butt."

Michael Thomas Deadlifts 530 Lbs. 💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪

Michael Thomas has dealt with injuries the last few seasons, but the NFL star's still strong as an ox ... and the proof's on video!
30-year-old Thomas -- 6'3", 212 lbs. -- flexed (literally) on Instagram on Monday, deadlifting 530 lbs. for one rep using a trap bar ... and doing it with what looked like relative ease.
It probably shouldn't come as a shock ... Thomas is one of the world's most elite athletes. Prior to being drafted in 2016, Michael put up 18 reps of 225 lbs. ... better than three-fourths of the other athletes at the wide receiver position.
Thomas played in only three games in the 2022 season ... after missing all of the 2021 campaign. In 2020, MT played in 7 games. But, prior to 2020, Thomas was arguably the best wideout in the game. He caught 149 passes in 2019, scoring 9 touchdowns.
FYI, the deadlift world record is held by Hafthor Björnsson -- aka "The Mountain" -- who pulled an absurd 1,105 lbs. in May 2020. But, Thor weighed around 450 lbs. ... so, Thomas' lift is damn impressive!
Mike's looking to bounce back in a big way ... and judging by today's gym session, things are looking good.
NFL's Foster Moreau Vows To Defeat Cancer ... 'There's No Other Option'
Three weeks after being diagnosed with cancer, NFL tight end Foster Moreau says he believes he'll beat the disease, and hopes his story will inspire people to prioritize their health.
Moreau provided an update on his condition Friday on "Good Morning America" ... after he was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, a type of cancer that attacks the body's immune system, following a physical with the New Orleans Saints in March.
“It’s at stage 2, so it’s spread from the initial location," Moreau said on GMA. "But, it appears to be a slow spread, and we should be able to get rid of all of it."
The former 4th round pick also had a message for viewers ... "To anyone who doesn’t want to get a checkup, afraid to see your doctor, afraid to take whatever test you’ve gotta take, it’s not gonna change the outcome, right? It’s better to know."
Moreau previously described his diagnosis as "life-changing," but is attacking the cancer much like he did preparing to play football, with purpose and intensity.
“There’s no other way to look at it, right?" Moreau asked. "So, I’m preparing for my opponent, right? Hodgkin’s lymphoma, chemotherapy, I’m preparing for being on an IV, for six, seven, eight hours."
"You only have a finite amount of time on this Earth. For me, I’m gonna make it count. And right now, making it count is whuppin’ up on cancer’s butt.”
