Robert De Niro I Can Deal with Pence If It Means Trump Gets Impeached

Robert De Niro
LESSER OF TWO EVILS
TMZ.com

Robert De Niro says he could stomach -- and "deal with" -- VP Mike Pence in the Oval just so long as it means as Donald Trump gets forced out of office and out of D.C. for good.

The legendary actor took a few seconds out of his press tour-de-force Saturday in NYC -- a day after he, Martin Scorsese, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci premiered their new flick "The Irishman" for the NY Film Festival -- to talk Trump and a possible impeachment.

As we've reported ... Nancy Pelosi and the House of Reps. launched a formal impeachment inquiry last week after word got out about DT's call this summer with the Ukrainian Prez ... in which POTUS casually asked him to look into Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.

The White House even released a rough transcript of the call, and it couldn't be any clearer -- Trump asked the guy to get to the bottom of it, with the help of Attorney General William Barr and even his own personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani. Rudy denied wrongdoing, FWIW.

'Making a Murderer' New 'Confession' in Doubt By DOJ ... Director Gives Full Context

A prisoner doing time for another murder is now confessing to the crime "Making a Murderer" subject Steven Avery is in prison for -- but the feds have serious doubts, and probably for good reason.

Filmmaker Shawn Rech -- who's directing a new documentary about Avery called "Convicting a Murderer" -- made news Tuesday when he told an outlet he'd secured a confession to the murder of Teresa Halbach from a different Wisconsin man, not Avery.

Shawn says the convict is imprisoned for a separate murder -- but if his confession is legit it would be major news for Avery, who's always maintained his innocence.

Before Avery starts jumping for joy, though ... we spoke to Shawn ourselves, and the full context makes the alleged confession seem a little dubious, and the DOJ in Wisconsin sees it the same way.

A TREMENDOUS WIN

UPDATE

Yusef, who spent nearly 7 years behind bars before he was exonerated, says he understands why some people are upset “When They See Us” won only one Emmy out of 16 nominations, but he says JJ’s win is still very powerful.

UPDATE

1:32 PM PT -- We got Antron McCray -- one of the Central Park 5 exonerees -- and he tells us he couldn't be prouder of Jharrel. In fact ... Antron says the cast and series did too good of a job, their performances conjured up pain. BTW ... Antron was forced to sign a false confession by his father. Antron served 7 1/2 years behind bars before he was freed.

IT BROUGHT BACK THOSE MEMORIES
TMZ.com

"When They See Us" star Jharrel Jerome was the man of the hour when he hauled in a huge Emmy win, but he left zero doubt the night's spotlight belonged to the man he portrayed.

Jharrel proudly brought CP5 exoneree Korey Wise with him Sunday night to Netflix's after-party at L.A.'s Milk Studios. It was a helluva win for Jharrel, who brought home Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series.

Jharrel, of course, played Korey ... one of the 5 teens wrongfully convicted for the 1989 rape and beating of a female jogger. Korey was the oldest of the accused at 16. He served 12 years behind bars before he and the others were exonerated in 2002.

During his acceptance speech, 21-year-old Jharrel paid tribute to the "exonerated five" ... but that was only the beginning.

Travis Scott Cool with Cardi ... Despite Grammy Drama in Netflix Doc

Travis Scott has no ill will toward Cardi B for taking home the Grammy for Best Rap Album, despite what fans might think after watching his new documentary.

Travis' "Look Mom I Can Fly" project dropped on Netflix Wednesday, and there's a part when Travis is visibly upset after Cardi took home the trophy back in February. A lot of people who've seen it already thought Travis was angry at Cardi.

Sources close to Travis tell us it was absolutely NOT anything personal. We're told his emotions only surfaced because of all the hard work he put into his "Astroworld" album ... and he just really wanted to win, plain and simple.

Fact is, Travis and Cardi have always been super cool since then -- and her hubby, Offset, even showed up at the big Netflix premiere event for the documentary.

Cardi defended herself against some Travis fans on Twitter, saying, "I wasn’t even thinking of winning or even the Grammies. All I can think about was...everybody is disappointed in me, am I still going to have a career after this baby? Is this album going to make me or break me ? I need to finish before I start showing."

She continued, "So when I won a Grammy for it I didn’t have no words to say but when I went home I started reminiscing on what I went thru during that period I was like YEA BITCH YOU DESERVE THIS SHIT! And until this day my shit still charting."

Our Travis sources say he quickly got over the loss, but in the moment it was devastating -- as shown in the documentary -- and only serves as motivation moving forward.

MJ Accuser Wade Robson Rips Netflix Over Chappelle Special ... Stop Shaming Victims!!!

UPDATE

2:11 PM PT -- John Branca, the co-executor of the MJ estate, tells us, "Wade’s accusations emerged only after his book failed and we turned him down for a job with our Las Vegas show 9 years ago. He couldn’t get a job until HBO and Dan Reed hired him."

UPDATE

He continues, "He’ll say anything to avoid answering the question of why people like Dave Chappelle don’t believe him or to address the factual holes and inconsistencies in this one sided documentary that did not interview a single person other than the two guys and their families, who are in it for the money."

Michael Jackson accuser Wade Robson is blasting Netflix for its decision to air a new Dave Chappelle comedy special defending MJ against allegations of molestation ... Wade says the streaming service is trivializing sexual abuse.

Wade is going scorched-earth on Dave and Netflix, telling TMZ this content in a Netflix special serves to "shame victims," and is "disgusting, irresponsible and inexcusable."

Robson says Netflix is just as guilty as Dave for trivializing and condoning sexual abuse ... because the streaming service provided Chappelle a massive platform.

Dave Chappelle
BLAME GAME
Netflix

In his new comedy special, 'Sticks & Stones,' DC straight-up says of Wade and James, "I don't believe these motherf***ers" after rehashing their allegations from the HBO documentary "Leaving Neverland" in graphic detail.

Wade, who says he doesn't care if Chappelle believes him or not, adds in his strong response ... "1 in 6 boys and 1 in 4 girls are sexually abused before the age of 18, and considering their actions, Dave Chappelle, Netflix, and the Michael Jackson Estate, who have recently supported Chappelle’s views, are part of the problem. I believe we can and should do better than this.”

Sources close to Wade and James tell TMZ ... both accusers feel Netflix is essentially condoning what Chappelle is espousing in his special -- that if you're a celebrity, it's OKAY to sexually assault a child.

However, lots of people enjoyed Chappelle's special and are praising Dave for pushing the envelope ... like comedian Donnell Rawlings, who says the people up in arms are forgetting one crucial element -- DAVE'S MAKING A DAMN JOKE!!!

Michael Jackson Estate Agrees with Dave Chappelle ... Accusers Are 'Damn Liars'

UPDATE

3:02 PM PT -- John Branca, the co-executor of the Michael Jackson Estate, tells us, "We agree with Dave Chappelle - these guys are damn liars. After years of exploiting Michael’s generosity, they waited until he was gone and unable to defend himself before accusing him. They did this in secrecy. They did not do any independent investigation."

UPDATE

He continues, "They did not verify the stories. They didn’t talk to anyone because they did not want another side. This isn’t R. Kelly – there are no videos. This isn’t Harvey Weinstein, there aren’t multiple accusers."

UPDATE

Finally, Branca says, "They interviewed only two guys out of the thousands who visited Neverland – oh, and surprise surprise - they are the only two with lawsuits for hundreds of millions of dollars. Why wasn’t their financial interest disclosed? The whole documentary is bogus. Robson and Safechuck are liars and they know the truth, which is why Dave’s comedy touched a nerve."

UPDATE

10:27 AM PT -- James Safechuck has come out strong against Chappelle too, adding, "I'm heartbroken for all those children who look to see how they will be received when they finally find the courage to speak out about their sexual abuse. I just want to reach out to other survivors and let them know that we can't let this type of behavior silence us. Together we are strong."

UPDATE

9:57 AM PT -- Wade Robson's firing back at Chappelle, telling TMZ ... "He can say whatever he wants. It reveals him, not us."

UPDATE

Wade's lawyer, Vince Finaldi, adds ... "Although Mr. Chappelle is entitled to his opinions, however misinformed they may be, it’s unfortunate that he has chosen to use his platform to shame sexual abuse victims, and spread his ignorance of sexual abuse and the way it is perpetrated upon children, in an attempt to resurrect his career."

UPDATE

Finaldi continues ... "Mr. Chappelle should look to fellow comedian Hannibal Buress, who instead used his platform as a mode of social change, by addressing the injustice of Bill Cosby’s alleged sexual abuse of many women head on when no other comedian would, as an example of positive work done from a place of intestinal fortitude.”

Dave Chappelle
BLAME GAME
Netflix

Dave Chappelle has worked Michael Jackson back into his stand-up -- and he's flat-out rejecting claims made by the accusers.

DC's new comedy special, 'Sticks & Stones,' just dropped on Netflix, and Dave had a few things to say about our society -- namely, celebrity cancel culture ... which he kicked off by defending MJ, saying he doesn't believe Wade Robson and James Safechuck ... the 2 accusers featured in the HBO doc.

Dave flat-out says, "I don't believe these motherf***ers" after describing part of their allegations in "Leaving Neverland" in graphic detail, calling the scenario "gross."

Chappelle doesn't get into exactly why he doesn't believe them, but he does jokingly note that he's a classic "victim-blamer" ... saying that if he'd heard Michael molested the kids, he'd wonder ... "Well, what were those kids wearing at the time?"

Dave goes on to joke ... IF Michael did in fact sexually abuse Wade and James, they should've felt honored and used it as bragging rights.

He also cracks ... "I know it seems harsh, but somebody's gotta teach these kids -- no such thing as a free trip to Hawaii. He's going to want to look at your butthole or something." Dave used a similar premise to joke about MJ in 2004, almost beat for beat.

Dave touched on A LOT of other topics pertaining to cancel culture (there's no shortage of content these days) ... taking time to defend Kevin Hart's LGBTQ moment ahead of the Oscars this year, going to bat for Louis C.K. again ... and addressing R. Kelly.

You might recall ... the producer for the Lifetime docuseries "Surviving R. Kelly" told the media that Dave had refused to participate in her project. He sets the record straight though.

He says Dream Hampton casually asked him about appearing on 'Surviving' once, and never brought it up again ... which he completely forgot about until he saw her parading his name around in the press, suggesting he was hiding from the controversy.

Dave says it straight-up -- the only reason he didn't come on to talk about the troubled singer is because, "I don't know this n**** at all." Got it, thanks Dave.

Aziz Ansari Hun, Let's Go Topless 'Right Now' ... Spanish Beach Loungin'

Aziz Ansari is in much calmer waters now when it comes to the dating scene -- and he and his GF are partaking in one of the finest parts of European culture ... topless beaches!

The comedian was on the Spanish island of Formentera Sunday with his girlfriend, Serena Campbell ... they've reportedly been dating for at least a year now. Serena started out in a two-piece, but quickly ditched the upper half as they headed for the ocean.

Worth noting, Serena's from Denmark -- so this topless thing is nothing new for her.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

One of the first times Aziz and Serena were spotted out in public was in 2018 when they showed up together at the U.S. Open tennis championship in NYC.

He's also made reference to her in his latest stand-up special, "Right Now," which is currently airing on Netflix. He joked that people still have something to say about him being in an interracial relationship -- whether it's blatant racism, or fake woke-ness.

One thing's for sure -- Aziz being tied down should certainly help with keeping him out of the headlines over his 2017 #MeToo moment, which many people feel was unwarranted, anyway.

Showing off the new bae -- always a great way to turn the page.

'Selling Sunset' Christine Quinn Crooks Hit My Crib ... Jacked $120k in Jewelry!!!

Christine Quinn from the hit Netflix show "Selling Sunset" had a rude homecoming from a trip abroad -- someone got into her home and made off with six-figures worth of pricey jewelry.

Sources close to the situation tell TMZ ... Christine returned to her Bev Hills pad a few days ago and noticed her entire jewelry collection -- including expensive watches -- had been swiped from her safe.

We're told cops have little to go on, but here's what Christine knows for sure -- the suspect made off with more than $120,000 worth of her stuff!!! We're also told the only person who was supposed to have access to Christine's crib was the housekeeper, and there was no sign of forced entry.

LAPD's now investigating, but so far, there are no suspects.

Christine's bummer news comes on the heels of some great news for one of her "Selling Sunset" costars. As we told you ... Heather Rae Young made headlines when she was seen locking lips with "Flip or Flop" host Tarek El Moussa.

Ya take the good, ya take the bad ...

'Flip or Flop' Tarek Locks Lips with 'Selling Sunset' Star ... Who Looks Like Christina!!!

Tarek El Moussa's following the lead of his ex-wife and moving on with his dating life ... with her doppelganger ... who also sells houses.

The "Flip or Flop" star enjoyed a Sunday Funday in Redondo Beach, CA at the Portofino Hotel & Marina ... which included some smooching with a hottie on a yacht who looks eerily similar to his ex, Christina Anstead.

It's not his former HGTV costar, though -- it's Heather Rae Young, a luxury real estate agent and one of the stars of Netflix's "Selling Sunset."

Heather works for The Oppenheim Group selling high-end pads in L.A. ... so the 2 have both the real estate biz and reality TV in common. She also does some modeling ... and was Playboy Playmate of the Month in February 2010.

We're told Tarek and Heather boated up from Newport Beach where he lives and spent the day together. It's unclear if they're officially together or still in the market ... but looks like they're having fun.

As you know ... Tarek and Christina carried through with the 8th season of their hit show despite a very public split and divorce in January 2018. They're both moving forward with solo TV projects now, and Christina already got remarried and is expecting a child with her hubby.

So, Tarek's got some catching up to do.

'Stranger Things' Stars Can The Russians Find Us In Italy?!

Forget the Upside Down, real-life "Stranger Things" couple Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaton are blowing some of that hard-earned Netflix cash on an Italian vacay ... without their kiddie costars.

Just weeks after season 3 dropped, the actors who play Nancy and Jonathan on the show jetted off to the Amalfi Coast to hang at the Giffoni Film Festival.

The two were spotted in a gelato shop ... which is concerning because the MIND FLAYER LIKES IT COLD, OMG!!!!!

Natalia and Charlie went public with their relationship back in 2017 ... and it seems their off-screen relationship is heating up at the same pace as their characters on-screen.

On-screen, they've been through a lot together ... finding Will Byers, battling demodogs and trying to expose a diabolical Russian plot while working for the Hawkins Post.

No word on what's in store for season 4 ... but more episodes means more cash, which means more BALLER-ASS VACATIONS!

Eddie Murphy In Talks With Netflix For Insanely Lucrative Stand-Up Special

Eddie Murphy is itching to get back onstage to perform stand-up comedy -- and our sources say Netflix wants to give him the perfect landing pad -- with a massive payday.

Sources connected to Murphy tell TMZ ... the comedian has been locked in talks with the streaming giant for an undisclosed number of comedy specials. We're told negotiations are hovering right around $70 MILLION for the deal ... though we've been unable to firmly confirm the exact figure.

$70 mil sounds astronomical -- Neil Armstrong astronomical -- but it's actually in line with the top dogs in comedy. Dave Chappelle scored $60 mil for 3 stand-up specials on Netflix back in 2017, and Chris Rock got $40 million for 2 specials the year before.

Murphy hung up the comedy mic years ago, and people have been clamoring for a comeback. So, given his track record -- which is incredible -- $70 mil seems in the ballpark.

Eddie was very open about his desire to return to stand-up during his conversation with Jerry Seinfeld on "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee." He said if it's gonna happen, he's gotta get his groove back, although there are certain things that just come naturally ... especially for him.

Millie Bobby Brown Screw the 'Stranger' Boys I'm BFFs w/ Brad & Angie's Kids!!!

Welcome to the Upside Down -- where Millie Bobby Brown is apparently great pals with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's kids all of a sudden.

The "Stranger Things" star was spotted Monday hanging out in L.A. with Shiloh Jolie-Pitt and Zahara Jolie-Pitt -- two of Brad and Angie's kids who are about the same age as MB ... early teens. We're told they were grabbing lunch at Mel's Diner.

Millie certainly seems friendly with both of them -- holding hands with Zahara, and with an arm wrapped around Shiloh. They were all smiles too as they strolled around together.

We haven't seen the Jolie-Pitt kids much without one of their parents hanging off their hip -- it's usually Angie who's out with the children in public ... but this time, it looks like the kids are on their own (with at least one bodyguard close by, of course).

As for Millie, she's befriended some super famous people in the biz since skyrocketing to fame as the star of the Netflix series -- everyone from Drake to Ariana Grande, as well as Aaron Paul and Maddie Ziegler, among others. She's kinda the It Girl of Hollywood.

Now, it appears the Jolie-Pitt family are getting their fair share of Eleven too, and the timing is nothing short of perfect. Season 3 drops this week ... it's supposed to be the best one yet.

Bust out the '80s music -- it's demogorgon season, kids.

'Tidying Up' Star Marie Kondo She Stole My Folding Method ... Linda Koopersmith Claims

Decluttering guru Marie Kondo -- who rose to fame with the Netflix series 'Tidying Up' -- stole her famous folding technique ... at least, that's the claim of another celeb organizer who wants her due credit.

We got Linda Koopersmith -- aka "The Beverly Hills Organizer" -- out Monday in Hollywood, and she went off about the agony of watching Kondo reap the benefits of an organizing technique she says she actually invented YEARS ago.

Check out the clip ... Linda brings receipts. She says what Kondo has dubbed the KonMari Method is the same upright fold she's done on TV shows through the '90s. Koopersmith -- who counts Jennifer Lopez and Khloe Kardashian among her many celebrity clients -- says she unveiled the method in 2003 on the Style Network's "Clean House" show.

She says she also included it n her 2005 book, "Beverly Hills Organizer's Home Organizing Bible."

What's more ... Koopersmith says she's uploaded videos on YouTube, all date stamped long before Kondo rose to stardom. Kondo's Netflix series was an instant hit and her book 'The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up' has sold millions.

And, in case you're wondering ... Koopersmith doesn't want an apology, nor does she even plan to sue. But, she does have one request of Kondo. Watch.

'OITNB' Star Lorraine Toussaint Files for Divorce

"Orange is the New Black" star Lorraine Toussaint is bailing out of her marriage ... she's filed for divorce.

According to court records ... Lorraine filed her divorce petition Thursday in Los Angeles to make the split from her husband, Robert Michael Tomlinson, official, legally.

According to the docs they have no minor children together ... although there have been reports they have a teenage daughter. They were married on June 25, 2017.

Lorraine is asking the court to award her spousal support, and to block the court's ability to award support the other way around.

Lorraine played inmate Yvonne "Vee" Parker on season 2 on the hit Netflix show, 'OITNB.' She's also appeared on many other TV shows ... including "Where I Live," "Amazing Grace," "Law & Order," "Judging Amy," "Ugly Betty" and "Friday Night Lights."

But, Vee was definitely her breakout role -- she even won a 2015 SAG Award for it, along with her co-stars. Lorraine also garnered rave reviews from TV Guide and Vanity Fair.

She's also done several films, and got praise for her role in "Selma."

Central Park 5 Prosecutor Elizabeth Lederer Resigns from Columbia Law ... After Black Student Protest

Elizabeth Lederer, the woman who prosecuted the Central Park 5, just resigned from her position as a professor at Columbia Law School amid heavy pressure from black students.

Lederer, the former Assistant D.A. who tried the infamous case back in 1989, resigned Wednesday. She was a part-time professor at Columbia but had come under fire since the Netflix series "When They See Us" debuted.

Lederer, played by Vera Farmiga in the series, worked alongside Linda Fairstein. As we've reported ... Fairstein has also caught flak and recently resigned from a nonprofit board of directors and the Board of Trustees at Vassar College. Her book publisher also dropped her.

The Black Law Students Association at Columbia called Lederer's actions in the CP5 case "racist" ... and pressured school administrators to remove her from the faculty.

So, essentially, Lederer fell on the sword.

Felicity Huffman & William H. Macy 'When They See Us' ... We'll be at Sophia Grace's Graduation

Felicity Huffman's fresh off playing a villain on Netflix -- and in federal court -- but in real life, she and William H. Macy are celebrating getting their kid into a cap and gown.

The couple attended daughter Sophia Grace's high school graduation ceremony Monday, as the L.A. High School of the Arts Class of 2019 was honored. The proud parents showed up dressed for the occasion ... for which they've been preparing for a couple weeks.

We've seen Sophia's mom and dad buying graduation balloons and flower arrangements, and now the big day was finally here. It couldn't have come at a better time for Felicity ... who's been going through it professionally and personally.

ARRIVING TO COURT
Fox 25 Boston

She officially entered her guilty plea last month in the college admissions scandal, and is now looking at the possibility of up to 4 months in prison when she's sentenced in September.

And, then there's all the buzz around Felicity's role as Linda Fairstein in the Netflix limited series, "When They See Us."

The series paints the former Manhattan prosecutor as the mastermind behind the false convictions of the Central Park 5 -- and Fairstein's been publicly lambasted since the series debuted.

Felicity plays her pretty brilliantly, but PR-wise -- on the heels of her federal case -- a Disney fairy godmother role might have been better. Timing.

Like we said, at least she's got something to celebrate now.
