Amon-Ra St. Brown Dresses Up After Losing Bet From Lion To Leprechaun!!!

No, Amon-Ra St. Brown isn't quitting football to hide a pot of gold ... he just looked like it on Thursday -- and it's all 'cause he lost a bet to his teammate!

The Detroit Lions star showed up to media availability dressed as if he were a new Lucky Charms spokesperson ... and when reporters asked why he was in the all-green garb, he told them it's because USC fell to Notre Dame in their rivalry game on Saturday.

"We made an agreement," the 23-year-old former Trojans star said of he and his teammate, ex-Notre Dame defensive lineman Julian Okwara. "I called J.O. -- FaceTimed him -- and he said if SC wins, he has to be Tommy Trojan. I said, 'OK.' And he said if Notre Dame wins, I gotta be -- I don't know what this is called."

Of course, the Trojans put up a decent fight for a while against the Irish in South Bend ... but they crumbled late, giving Okwara the win over St. Brown.

What's hilarious ... the Lions star told media members not to call it all a "bet" -- as the NFL has been recently cracking down on gambling inside locker rooms, although we're pretty sure Roger Goodell would've let this one slide.

As for USC going forward, they've got five regular season contests left ... meaning that while St. Brown might not be able to get revenge on Okwara this year -- he's got plenty of time to burn some of his other teammates.

Univ. Of Georgia Student Dead At 18 In Rock Climbing Accident ... After Falling 90 Feet

A University of Georgia student tragically passed away over the weekend ... after falling 90 feet while rock climbing at a nature facility in Alabama. She was only 18.

Yutong Zhang -- who went by Faye -- was killed around 12 PM on Oct. 14, the Cherokee County Coroner's Office confirmed to AL.com.

Officials rushed to the scene after Zhang fell at the Cherokee Rock Village ... a park featuring boulders that reach 200 feet.

Zhang was a member of the Active Climbing gym in Athens, Georgia ... and the establishment released a statement on the tragedy, mourning her loss.

"Our thoughts are with Faye's family, friends, and the University of Georgia community at this difficult time," the gym said.

"We join them in mourning this profound loss and honoring the vibrancy, passion, and kindness that she brought into our lives."

"Faye, your spirit will forever be a part of our community. Rest in peace."

The university is also saddened by the passing of Zhang, who was in her first year at UGA.

"Our deepest sympathies go out to the student’s family," UGA spokesman Greg Trevor said, "and we will continue to provide counseling and support to members of our community who have been affected by her passing."

Haley Cavinder Reverses Course On Hoops Retirement ... Expected To Resume College Career 🏀

Haley Cavinder's borrowing a phrase from another hooper who was pretty good at basketball ... I'm back!

22-year-old Haley, after penning an emotional goodbye letter with her twin sister Hanna in April, has decided she won't hang up her Nike's after all ... she's entered the transfer portal and plans to play again starting next season.

Cavinder's last run on the court was epic ... she helped lead the Univ. of Miami women's basketball team to their first-ever Elite Eight. The Cinderella run included an upset of No. 1 seeded Indiana, a game Cavinder iced with clutch free throws in the final seconds.

Haley earned second-team All-ACC honors that season, averaging 12 points and four rebounds.

Aside from the success on the court, Haley's also a star away from the hardwood ... counting nearly three-quarters of a million followers on Instagram.

Haley and her sister Hanna also signed an NIL deal with the WWE as part of its inaugural "Next In Line" class. Many fans expected them to join the pro wrestling powerhouse as the next step in their career.

Adding to the surprise of Haley's decision ... she made it clear she didn't want to play without Hanna, saying, "I started with her, so at the end of the day, I want to end basketball and start our new lives together, but it was definitely difficult for me."

Something's clearly changed ... the question now is, where will one-half of the Cavinder twins end up??

LeBron James Bronny's Just As Athletic As Me!!! ... When I Was 19

Look out, Bronny James' college opponents -- LeBron says you'll be going up against a guy with just as much athleticism as he had during his rookie year in the NBA ... so says the King himself.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar's praise came after one X user shared his assessment of the 19-year-old USC freshman while sharing his rim-shaking highlights on Tuesday ... claiming, "Too (sic) say Bronny just as athletic or if not more than Bron was at his age isn’t wild! He’s doing this at 6'2" not 6'8" 🤷🏾‍♂️."

LBJ got wind of the post ... and he couldn't agree more.

"Exactly!!!" the four-time NBA champ replied ... claiming anyone who says otherwise doesn't know what they're talking about.

"He's definitely just as if not right there at his age. The casuals just like to argue about 💩 they literally don’t know about."

Even though it's coming from his own father, it's high praise ... considering LeBron burst onto the NBA scene as an 18-year-old phenom -- eventually earning Rookie of the Year honors after averaging 20.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.9 assists.

Bronny is hoping to get back on the court soon after suffering cardiac arrest earlier this year ... and while he's got big shoes to fill following his pops' footsteps, mock drafts have him being an NBA talent next year.

Athleticism is obviously only part of the basketball skillset ... but it's clear LeBron thinks the four-star recruit out of Sierra Canyon's got this one covered.

Deion Sanders My Son Needs A 'Lucrative' Deal ... After Watch Celly Goes Viral

Deion Sanders is hoping Shedeur Sanders cashes in on his now-famous watch celebration ... telling media members Tuesday his son's ready for a "lucrative" deal.

The Colorado star quarterback has been hitting the move -- one in which he shows off a timepiece on his left wrist after making big plays -- for weeks now ... but after he flashed it following an epic victory over Arizona State on Saturday, it took off.

Players from all over the NFL -- including superstars like Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall and Davante Adams -- copied it both before and after games this weekend.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

And, after DJ Khaled dubbed it "The Shedeur" earlier this year ... Deion says he's now hoping his 21-year-old boy can pad his bank account soon over it all.

"It's hilarious to me because he and I joke about it on a daily basis," Coach Prime said. "We just got to get him a lucrative watch deal. He can't keep doing it for free. He can't keep doing it for nothing."

Coach Prime
CAN'T KEEP DOING IT FOR FREE

"We gotta capitalize now," he added with a smile. "He is my son. We gotta capitalize on the moment!"

Good news for Shedeur ... the NCAA's name, image and likeness rules will allow him to get any such deal that comes forward.

So far, nothing appears to be in the works -- at least publicly -- but you have to imagine one's coming soon ... clearly much to Deion's delight!

Savannah Chrisley looks like she's super into her new boyfriend ... because they were all over each other at a Zach Bryan concert, and wearing matching outfits to boot.

The "Chrisley Knows Best" star and her new boo, former college football player Robert Shiver, packed on the PDA at an Alabama rodeo Saturday .... kissing and hugging in the VIP section while Zach was on stage.

Throughout the show, Savannah kept a hand either on Robert's back or in one of his back pockets ... and he did the same with her.

Savannah also seems like one of those girls who love coordinating fits with their dude because she and Robert were rocking matching Zach Bryan merch.

This relationship is fairly new ... Savannah revealed last month she was talking to Robert, who is mainly known for 2 things ... playing football for Auburn University and surviving his ex-wife's alleged murder-for-hire plot.

The rodeo appeared to be a double date of sorts, too ... Savannah's younger brother, Grayson, was also there with his girlfriend.

Yeehaw, y'all!!!

Will Ferrell DJs at USC Frat Party ... Before Big Arizona Win

EYE OF THE TIGER

Will Ferrell reprised his role as Frank the Tank for a rager this weekend at USC -- only, this time, he was spinning records for the party animals ... and luckily, no streaking after.

The actor was spotted handling music duties at the Sigma Alpha Mu frat house in L.A. Saturday -- and based on the lighting ... it would appear this thing was a pre-game blowout that went down during the day, before kickoff in the evening.

There isn't much context beyond what you see in the clip ... it's WF with his shades on, blasting music from his turntable on a balcony -- with a bunch of college kids around.

Sounds like he was going old school with 'Eye Of the Tiger,' no doubt trying to pump everyone up before the big game against the University of Arizona -- which ended up turning into a nail-biter, going into triple OT and ending with a stunning victory for the Trojans.

As for what the connection is here ... well, Will's a USC alum and a known diehard fan -- has been for years. But more specifically, his 19-year-old son Magnus actually goes to USC right now ... and something tells us he might also be in this fraternity.

Assuming that's the case, you can put two and two together on Will's appearance here.

JUST WHAT THE DOCTOR ORDERED
USC

The homie can do it all for his alma mater ... whether it's in a commencement speech or turning up the student body for a big matchup -- Will's got the Trojans covered on all fronts.

Fight on, indeed.

WILL FERRELL DJ EN FIESTA de FRATERNIDAD DE LA USC

100823_will_ferrell-KAL
"eye of the tiger"

Deion Sanders I Need More Trademarks!!! ... 'Bull Junk,' 'Give Me My Theme Music'

Deion Sanders is apparently aiming to make a ton of coin off of his most famous catchphrases... 'cause TMZ Sports has learned he's now filed trademarks for "Bull Junk" and "Give Me My Theme Music."

Prime's company submitted the applications on Thursday ... just days after filing for the terms "Working Or Twerking," "Ain't Nobody Care" and others.

In the applications, the NFL legend's counsel says he's looking to trademark the phrases for clothing items ... including hats, hoodies, sleepwear and more.

What's interesting ... Sanders' company also filed for a trademark for the phrase "Prime Time By Deion Sanders" -- a possible indication he's looking to come out with a clothing line down the road.

Sanders, of course, has been a gold mine for fun expressions ever since he became a college football head coach ... first displaying the humor at Jackson State before packing it with him to Boulder.

So far, it's all been pretty smooth sailing for Prime and his unique vernacular ... the Buffs are 3-2 this season and were at one point nationally ranked -- quite the feat for a squad that was 1-11 before he arrived!!

Deion Sanders Dealing W/ Medical Issue, Misses Event ... Colorado Says He's OK

Deion Sanders was under the weather on Thursday after having a bad reaction to medication ... Coach Prime was forced to skip his radio show Thursday, but thankfully, Colorado says the Hall of Famer is okay!

The CU Buffs' weekly radio show started Thursday afternoon with one very noticeable absence ... Deion, the man everyone wanted to hear.

Instead, assistant coach Gary "Flea" Harrell was behind the mic ... and show host Mark Johnson provided an update on Sanders.

“We are going without Coach Prime here today," Johnson said. "We received notification a little while ago that (he) was a little under the weather and had a bad reaction to his immune IVs, is what I was told.”

A spokesperson for the Buffs didn't add any further detail, per The Denver Post, but added the coach was fine.

Sanders has had a few health issues since putting on the headset. In 2022, Sanders had two toes on his right foot amputated.

The good news ... Coach Prime is expected to be well enough to travel with his team for their game on Saturday against Arizona State.

The Buffs started the season 3-0, and were ranked as one of the top 20 teams in the country ... before being blown out by Oregon.

Last weekend, Colorado gave USC a run for their money with a late 2nd-half run, but came up short, 48-41.

Pat Fitzgerald Sues Northwestern For $130 Million

Pat Fitzgerald is not going down without a fight -- the fired Northwestern football coach just filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against the school ... and he's seeking at least $130 million.

48-year-old Fitzgerald was suspended and later booted from his alma mater amid allegations of hazing within the program back in July ... after an investigation determined the longtime coach did not know of any wrongdoing, but could have made an effort to find out about what was happening.

Fast forward to Thursday ... PF's attorneys are ripping the school's decision to fire their client after 17 seasons.

"If there was ever a coach at Northwestern University who should have not been terminated, it's Coach Fitzgerald," Dan Webb said in a press conference announcing the "major" lawsuit.

Webb said N.U. wrongfully and illegally sacked Fitzgerald "without any legitimate or rational reason whatsoever."

Webb added the lawsuit includes claims of breach of contract on two occasions and defamation.

The attorney added the school should cough up the massive amount of money for the economic damages Fitzgerald suffered ... as well as an additional chunk of change for punitive damages, future loss of income and infliction of emotional distress.

Fitzgerald was an All-American linebacker for the Wildcats in the '90s ... and went on to lead the program to a 110-101 record over the course of his coaching career.

AT&T Designs Helmet For Deaf FB Players ... Shows Plays On Visors

CHANGING THE GAME
AT&T

This is amazing -- AT&T is partnering up with Gallaudet University to introduce a game changer for deaf football players ... by designing a 5G-connected helmet that shows play calls on the visor!!

The company broke the news on Thursday ... stating the football team at Gallaudet -- a private university in Washington, D.C. for deaf and hard-of-hearing students -- will wear the gear for the first time ever on Oct. 7.

The helmets will allow coaches to communicate with their team from the sideline by selecting a play from a tablet ... which will then show up on the players' visors.

The athletes were stoked after trying on the new equipment ... with one saying, "It felt like the world just instantly lifted off of my shoulders."

Gallaudet football head coach Chuck Goldstein is also excited for his team ... thanking AT&T for the incredible gift.

"We work out the same way as every other college football program, we practice the same way, we compete the same way," Goldstein said.

"The difference between coaching a hearing team compared to a deaf team is first the communication. The AT&T 5G-connected helmet will change football."

If that wasn't enough, AT&T is also donating a massive $500k to Gallaudet's football program.

"Our expertise in connectivity combined with Gallaudet's legacy of breaking down barriers has created a helmet that not only transforms the way deaf and hard of hearing athletes engage in sports but opened up endless possibilities for innovation," AT&T Senior VP Corey Anthony said.

"Together with Gallaudet, we are proving that connecting changes everything."

Morgan State University Cancels Homecoming Football Game ... After Campus Shooting

update

6:36 AM PT -- The Morgan State athletics department just announced they're canceling the homecoming game against Stony Brook this Saturday.

The Bears' next game will be on October 19 against North Carolina Central.

Morgan State University is postponing its highly anticipated homecoming football game this weekend after five people were injured in an on-campus shooting.

Officials at the HBCU made the announcement on Wednesday ... less than a day after at least two gunmen opened fire on the Baltimore campus, hitting four men and a woman who were between the ages 18 and 22.

"Regrettably," university president David Wilson said in a statement, "for the very first time in Morgan's history, all activities planned around Homecoming will be either canceled or postponed until the perpetrator(s) of this atrocity have been found and brought to justice."

The home game against Stony Brook had been slated to go down at 10 AM on Saturday.

Other canceled events included the Lady Bears' volleyball match, the school's "Homecoming Concert," the homecoming pep rally, the homecoming parade and a silent headphones party.

The school also announced that classes will be canceled for the rest of the week as security measures increase on campus.

"We strongly believe that this moment calls for reflection, thus allowing our students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to focus on their mental health," MSU said.

"We greatly appreciate the support of our later community who have expressed their concern and support during this most trying time."

Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to call Baltimore police at 410-396-2444 or leave an anonymous tip at 1-866-7LOCKUP.

LSU Safety Greg Brooks Diagnosed W/ Rare Brain Cancer ... Weeks After Surgery

Greg Brooks Jr. has a rare form of brain cancer, according to LSU ... who provided an update on the Tigers CB, just weeks after he had surgery to remove a tumor.

As we previously reported, Brooks underwent (successful) surgery on September 20 ... and doctors removed a large tumor from his brain. Despite the procedure, the diagnosis wasn't clear until this week ... when doctors announced Brooks has medulloblastoma.

“For the last three weeks, Greg has been recovering from an extensive surgery to remove a brain tumor that was located between his cerebellum and brainstem,” Dr. Catherine O’Neal, Chief Medical Officer at Our Lady of the Lake Health, told reporters.

“Greg’s speech and ability to communicate has been impacted, and although he is responsive and working daily with physical therapy, he will face months of intensive rehabilitation."

The good news is there's no evidence that the cancer has spread ... and Dr. O'Neal says he'll get a treatment plan from "nationally recognized specialists in this specific form of brain cancer."

The university has also launched a fundraiser for the former 4-star recruit to help raise money to cover the medical expenses including travel, treatment, and therapy.

"He has a long journey ahead," Dr. O'Neal said, "and will need the full support of our community behind him as he faces this battle."

Brooks -- who transferred from Arkansas to LSU in 2022 -- last played on Sept. 9 against Grambling State. Over the last two seasons, Greg's accumulated 74 tackles and 2 interceptions.

LeBron James Bronny's 'Doing Extremely Well' ... Hoping To Play This Season

LeBron James says Bronny is recovering so well from recent heart surgery that he's now hoping to suit up for USC this season.

The Lakers superstar revealed the plans for his 18-year-old son while meeting with reporters at L.A.'s Media Day on Monday.

Bron said his boy is "doing extremely well," and has already begun rehabbing to "get back on the floor this season with his teammates at USC."

"He's on the up-and-up," LeBron added.

As we previously reported, Bronny suffered cardiac arrest back on July 24 ... and was later diagnosed with a congenital heart defect that required a procedure to fix.

While docs believed the issue wouldn't derail his basketball career -- a timetable for a return to the Trojans' floor was not known. Clearly, however, LeBron thinks his son can get back within a matter of a couple months.

LeBron also called the summer "a whirlwind" that featured "a lot of emotions for our family" -- but he said the James Gang all leaned on each other to get through it.

"Happy to see where he is today," LeBron said, adding that he's dedicating this season to Bronny, "and we look forward to seeing what his future still has in store for him."
