Check it out ... the heiress-turned-DJ took time on Thursday evening to chat with a group of VIP fans, all of whom gush about her performance while posing for pictures with the reality TV legend.

Paris was equally giddy during the exchange, confessing the evening was the "most iconic" of her life ... which is certainly saying something given her social calendar to date.

Charlamagne tha God and Anderson Cooper found themselves in a tense faceoff debating CNN's coverage of former President Donald Trump ... with the radio host suggesting the network doesn't call out 45 for his "fascist" behavior.

Lil Durk has been arrested in Florida for murder-for-hire.

TMZ broke the story ... several members of the Chicago-based OTF crew -- to which Durk has ties -- were charged Thursday with the slaying of rapper Quando Rondo's cousin.

Durk was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals and booked into the Broward County Jail on Thursday night. Authorities have yet to release details on his arrest.

One small item found in Liam Payne's hotel room is getting a lot of attention from cops investigating his death, because it might unlock the mystery of who helped him score drugs ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources in Buenos Aires tell us ... authorities are now investigating the possibility a hotel employee delivered drugs to Liam, which has them focusing on a Dove soap box found in the room, and seen very clearly in a photograph taken after Liam's deadly fall.

The box was on the same table where cops also found drugs and paraphernalia -- tinfoil used to ingest drugs, as well as white powder.

Our sources say Liam's initial autopsy results revealed he had "pink cocaine" in his system, a dangerous cocktail of various drugs such as meth, ecstasy and ketamine, as well as other narcotics.
