SZA got invaluable face time with Katt Williams on the set of her debut film ... he thinks she's got the "It" factor to fly over the cuckoo's nest!!

The "S.O.S" singer revealed to Kendrick Lamar in their Harper’s Bazaar magazine feature story that Katt calmed her jitters on her first-ever film, which she costars in opposite Keke Palmer.

SZA tells Kendrick she was freaking out and already planned to skip the premiere when the film releases in January -- but Katt eased her nerves.

The KarJenners are taking over the film world ... not only is Kim flexing her acting chops these days -- they're also lighting up the red carpet at the Academy Museum Gala!

Kim, Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner hit the red carpet at the glitzy affair -- nicknamed the "Met Gala of the West" -- in their updated take on Hollywood glam ... stylish dresses showing just a little more skin than Ava Gardner might've.

Here is a 27-year-old version of the Hollywood actress showin' off her loose curls and pearly whites at the premiere of "Pitch Perfect" back in 2012 (left). This was a few years after her Academy Award nomination for her 2009 "Up In The Air" performance.

And, 12 years later, the stunning star recently took her wavy hair to the "Woman of the Hour" premiere in Hollywood (right) -- which hit Netflix earlier this weekend. In addition to starring in the film, this is Kendrick's directorial film debut.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Sydney was away from her Los Angeles-area home filming the Christy Martin biopic on the East Coast, when her security cameras alerted her to a person sneaking around her property.

We're told the suspect made their way onto Sydney's property around 3:30 AM Monday ... but didn't stay in her yard for long, as the trespasser then made their way over to her neighbor's place.
