Will Smith hit the L.A. premiere of his new movie with his wife Jada Pinkett Smith ... making their first public appearance in months since their separation bombshell dropped.

Check out the pics -- the actor rocked the "Bad Boys: Ride or Die" red carpet at TCL Chinese Theatre Thursday with Jada, their kids Jaden and Willow, and his son Trey from his previous marriage to Sheree Zampino.

The couple looked stylish as they posed in front of cams ... putting on a united front, something we haven't seen since JPS spilled in October about their secret 7-year separation.

William H. Macy's taking a strong stance against violence -- in movies and television, that is ... claiming it's negatively impacting the entire world, and being pretty dang earnest too.

The actor discussed his feelings about violent cinema during his appearance on fellow actor Brett Goldstein's "Films To Be Buried With" podcast ... saying he thinks the senseless violence in film cheapens each death and downplays human life in general.

Macy says, "I swear to God, you kill one person, there's nothing more dramatic than that. You kill 18 people, it's just porn. The only thing you can do to make that more dramatic is kill 18 more."

Brad Pitt's daughter, Shiloh, apparently wants nothing to do with him -- or at the very least, nothing to do with his last name ... 'cause she's dropping his surname officially.

Shiloh Jolie-Pitt -- who just turned 18 a few days ago on May 27 -- filed paperwork requesting a legal name change ... specifically, dropping the "Pitt" from her last name and making her new name simply "Shiloh Jolie."

Mind you ... this doc was literally filed on Monday, which was on Memorial Day ... and also happens to be her 18th birthday. So, it seems this was one of the first things she wanted to do as an adult.

Marvel chief Kevin Feige promised a "crude and rude" popcorn bucket for "Deadpool & Wolverine" ... and, boy, did they deliver.

Bill Moseley -- known for 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' franchise -- got an unwelcome scare of his own last week after being slammed into by a cyclist ... who apparently took off.

The actor's rep tells TMZ ... it all went down in Raleigh, NC Friday -- where the horror icon was expected to attend Carolina Fear Fest ... but shortly before the event kicked off, he was hit from behind during an afternoon walk, leaving him with 4 fractured ribs and a fractured pelvis.

We're told Bill was walking behind his hotel along a dual pedestrian-bike path and that a dude came flying down the lane and ran right into him from behind ... at a speed which we're told was about 30 MPH. Rather than stop to help, Bill's rep says this man bolted ... fleeing the scene.

Bill, as a result, was left writhing in pain ... and we're told help was eventually called for him ... and he was transported to a trauma hospital, where he underwent multiple CT scans.

In the end ... Bill suffered multiple pelvic and rib fractures -- something he noted himself on IG, posting a couple shots of himself in a hospital gown, and eventually being wheeled out in a wheelchair. While what happened to him was serious ... he's keeping his spirits up.

As for the biker who hopped back on his bike and rode off, Moseley -- who's also starred in 2007's "Halloween" threw in a horror character reference, saying ... "And here I thought Jason packed a punch!"

Bill's since been discharged from the hospital, and has a 6-week rehab stay ahead of him, and has been ordered by docs to avoid putting weight on his left leg at all costs.

The folks behind Carolina Fear Fest also confirmed Bill's expected to make a full recovery, and have announced anyone who purchased a photo op with Bill will receive an immediate refund.

He was surrounded by security guards as he made his way through the crowd, but did stop at one point to yell back, "We're trying to be gentlemen in this world, the Democrats. You are gangsters! F*** you!!!"

2024 is struggling to compete with last year's impressive box office numbers ... with 2 expected blockbusters underperforming over Memorial Day weekend, doing historically bad.

A Comscore report shows "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga" and "The Garfield Movie" both failed to impress this holiday weekend ... bringing in only $32 million and $31.1 million, respectively.

While 'Furiosa' did find itself in the No.1 spot ... its box office total was strikingly different than what "The Little Mermaid" brought in last year. For the record, the live-action remake brought in $117 million on its opening weekend.
