Actress and stand-up comedian Amy Hill was 50 years old when she was cast to play Sue -- the generous cafe manager at Hukilau cafe in Hawaii and Lucy's protective friend -- in the 2004 romantic comedy film "50 First Dates."

Joining Hill on the Hawaiian set included A-list stars, Adam Sandler as the marine veterinarian who falls in love with Lucy -- an art teacher with amnesia after suffering a car crash -- played by Drew Barrymore.

Rob Schneider and Sean Astin were also key players in the film.

Kelly Rowland is racking up allies in the South of France -- a South Korean actress is now the third woman to get into it with the same Cannes Film Festival security guard Kelly chewed out.

Yoona -- a K-pop star turned actress -- was on the same grand staircase Kelly had been on a couple days earlier, and as she posed for pics and waved to fans ... the female security staffer blocked Yoona with her arm and rushed her into the event.

It was the same exact move the usher pulled with Kelly, except Yoona went much more peacefully. Not a single finger in the face this time around.

The way Lane explains it ... when Elton found out he voiced his displeasure, saying he wrote the song because he wanted to have an epic Disney love ballad under his belt -- and "didn't want it to be sung by the rat and the pig."

The iconic "Home Alone" house is up for sale, but it's coming along with a bit of controversy -- 'cause despite realtors' claims, TMZ has learned the movie wasn't shot inside.

Julio Macat -- cinematographer for the 1990 Christmas classic -- tells TMZ ... exterior shots for the movie were filmed at the home now on the market, but they never actually shot scenes inside the home.

Instead, we're told the film was shot at the then-defunct New Trier Township High School in Chicago on massive sets.

Richard M. Sherman Dead at 95 ... Wrote 'Mary Poppins,' 'Jungle Book' Music

Richard M. Sherman -- half of the Sherman Brothers songwriting duo responsible for some of the biggest Disney hits ever -- has died ... according to the Walt Disney Company.

Sherman passed away at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills, the company posted on its website. The announcement cites age-related illness as the cause of death.

Richard and his brother Robert -- who died of natural causes in 2012 -- caught their first big break in Hollywood in 1959 when their song "Tall Paul" reached #7 on the charts.
