As "IF" Ryan Reynolds' looks over the years could get any HOTTER ...

Here is a 21-year-old version of the hilarious Hollywood hottie at the "Two Guys And A Girl" Preview in New York City back in 1998 (left). This was Ryan's breakout role, playing Berg on the ABC show until 2001, before hitting the big screen in movies like 'Van Wilder' and 'Waiting.'

And 26 years later ... the Daddy of four and Wrexham team owner recently charmed his way on the red furry purple carpet for his new film "IF" (right).

but the question is ...

Francis Ford Coppola either has another masterpiece, or a dud in his new "Megalopolis" movie -- and amid comparisons to "The Room," one of its OG stars is betting on Coppola.

Word outta Cannes is that FFC's self-financed passion project is such a mess that it compares to the 2003 cult classic film by Tommy Wiseau -- which has been labeled so-bad-it's-good.

Greg Sestero played the dude who was Tommy's best friend in the flick -- he was on the receiving end of Tommy's infamous "Oh, hi Mark" line -- and he told us if Francis' movie is being compared to their flick, he's most likely got magic on his hands.

Deadline reports the movie made just $10.3 million on Friday -- including previews -- and, it's headed for just a $30 million opening ... lower than initial estimates projected.

Plus, another negative for the creative new picture ... critics seem to want it to disappear like a kid's IF when they grow up -- it's currently got a shockingly low 49% on Rotten Tomatoes despite its all-star cast.

Cynthia Nixon's reflecting on the early days of "Sex and the City" ... remembering the show's doubters -- who said she and her castmates didn't seem like real women.

The actress -- who's played Miranda Hobbes in numerous incarnations of the show over the last couple decades -- reflected on the series during an interview with Page Six, calling out trolls for questioning the show's authenticity.

The way Nixon tells it ... early criticism of the show included a claim parroted by many detractors who she says claimed women didn't talk as openly about sex as the dialogue suggested.

"Goodfellas" may not have aged so well to some audiences ... receiving a trigger warning from the AMC over outdated stereotypes -- and, it's causing an online backlash.

Ken Lovett -- a former reporter for the New York Post -- shared a picture of a trigger warning he says played right before the flick on TV to X earlier this week ... warning audiences about potentially offensive content in the Martin Scorsese film.

The warning cites "language and/or offensive cultural stereotypes that are inconsistent with today's standards of inclusion."

Amy Winehouse's biopic "Back to Black" left out a viral moment ... cutting her dig at Justin Timberlake right before she won her Record of the Year Grammy.

The actor's daughter, Quincy Coleman, tells TMZ ... "My Father, Dabney Wharton Coleman, took his last earthly breath peacefully and exquisitely in his home on Thursday May 16th, 2024 at 1:50 PM."

She adds, "My father crafted his time here on earth with a curious mind, a generous heart, and a soul on fire with passion, desire and humor that tickled the funny bone of humanity. As he lived, he moved through this final act of his life with elegance, excellence and mastery."

Steve Buscemi's alleged attacker has been arrested in NYC -- and cops say they picked him up after responding to a call at a homeless shelter ... TMZ has confirmed.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Clifton Williams -- the man police believe is the guy who walked up to the actor and punched him in broad daylight -- was taken into custody Friday after cops responded to a harassment call at a homeless shelter in Manhattan.

We're told cops say Clifton started making a lost property police report and showed officers ID ... when they recognized his name and then took him into custody. The NY Post broke the news first.

Jennifer Lopez has broken relationships on the mind, at least based on an Instagram post she liked, and it comes on the heels of buzz she and Ben Affleck have hit a rough patch.

Here's the deal ... a relationship coach named Lenna Marsak -- who posts a ton of content about how to build a strong and healthy romance -- posted something back in March that J Lo apparently came across Thursday morning, and liked it. The post itself might be telling.
