American actor Mitch Silpa was in his mid-40s when he played Steve the flight attendant -- who puts up with the rowdy bridesmaids en route to the Las Vegas bachelorette party -- in the 2011 romantic comedy film "Bridesmaids."

The ensemble cast of comedic icons included Kristen Wiig as the lonely, single and cynical gal with roommates, Annie, Maya Rudolph as the bride-to-be and Annie's childhood bestie, Lillian and Melissa McCarthy as the government worker with a new-found zest for life after falling off a ship, Megan.

"'Stove' what kind of a name is that? My name is Steve ... Are you an appliance?"

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck seem to be saying they're all good, maritally speaking -- even though they're not living under the same roof, they spent much of Sunday together ... looking like a happy couple.

The apparently estranged couple met up Sunday in Santa Monica, where they both showed out to support J Lo's kid, Emme, in a school event. Jennifer Garner also showed up with Fin, as Ben and Jen's kid is pretty tight with Emme.

Anyway, things got more interesting when they left Santa Monica -- Ben was smiling behind the wheel, and Jennifer was in his passenger seat, as they headed out ... apparently to grab dinner together at BOA Steakhouse in WeHo.

Selena Gomez is taking yet another step back toward her acting roots, 'cause a movie she's in just premiered at Cannes and people loved it -- getting on their feet for her ... making for some light waterworks.

The singer was spotted wiping away tears after her forthcoming musical crime drama, "Emilia Perez," received an impressive nine-minute standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival on Saturday.

Selly tried to keep her composure as all eyes were on her at the end of the screening ... but her emotions eventually got the better of her. You can tell it meant a lot that people liked the performance – and frankly, it's a good sign that she's all in on her acting career yet again.

The actress -- who's played Miranda Hobbes in numerous incarnations of the show over the last couple decades -- reflected on the series during an interview with Page Six, calling out trolls for questioning the show's authenticity.

The actor's daughter, Quincy Coleman, tells TMZ ... "My Father, Dabney Wharton Coleman, took his last earthly breath peacefully and exquisitely in his home on Thursday May 16th, 2024 at 1:50 PM."

She adds, "My father crafted his time here on earth with a curious mind, a generous heart, and a soul on fire with passion, desire and humor that tickled the funny bone of humanity. As he lived, he moved through this final act of his life with elegance, excellence and mastery."

Steve Buscemi's alleged attacker has been arrested in NYC -- and cops say they picked him up after responding to a call at a homeless shelter ... TMZ has confirmed.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Clifton Williams -- the man police believe is the guy who walked up to the actor and punched him in broad daylight -- was taken into custody Friday after cops responded to a harassment call at a homeless shelter in Manhattan.

We're told cops say Clifton started making a lost property police report and showed officers ID ... when they recognized his name and then took him into custody. The NY Post broke the news first.
