The actor cowboyed up on stage at L.A.'s Fonda Theatre Thursday night ... surprising everyone during Sierra Ferrell's country set -- and as you can see, the crowd goes wild for his performance ... which seems to have come out of nowhere.

John was clearly having fun with this ... he's going full-on wacky and animated for this -- and the crowd can't get enough of him, it seems.

Tom Holland's costar for an upcoming production of "Romeo & Juliet" that he's acting is getting dragged through the coals by trolls -- and now, the director is speaking up.

Francesca Amewudah-Rivers -- who'll be playing Juliet, opposite Tom -- has been getting bombarded with racist and bigoted vitriol over the past several days on X and other platforms ... this after it was announced she and TH would be acting in an 'R&J' play soon.

Multiple industry sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... producers at various production companies in Hollywood and the UK have been scrambling to put together long-form documentary films covering Diddy's drama -- everything from the civil lawsuits to the federal raids.

We're told the outreach to ramp up production for most of the docs began immediately after the raids in L.A. and Miami -- which isn't surprising, as the feds' execution of search warrants happened on live TV ... making it more of a national spectacle, and prompting folks to pay close attention to all the fallout.

Rebel Wilson is once again stirring the pot -- this time taking shots at her talent agency, claiming her team preferred her when she was plus size.

The actress gets into the weighty subject in her new memoir, "Rebel Rising" ... which has already sparked controversy over claims against Sacha Baron Cohen and Adele. Now, she's coming for her agents, saying they preferred her when she was heavier ... as that meant banking "hundreds of thousands of dollars in commission for each film where [she] played the fat funny girl."
