Oscars 2024 Red Carpet Getting Rolled Out ... BTS Prep Fully Underway

Hollywood is rolling out the red carpet for the Oscars this weekend ... and we mean that literally -- 'cause workers are already knee-deep in prep work for the big show!

The iconic awards show will kick off Sunday at the famed Dolby Theatre in Hollywood -- and it's pretty obvious it takes a few days to transform the Hollywood Walk of Fame into an A-list-ready red carpet ... as you can see, people were already hard at work starting Wednesday.

Crew members came together to roll out massive amounts of red fabric in order to cover up the star-studded walkway. It looks like red and gold will be the colors of the evening, if all the drapes that are going up are any indication. No surprise ... that's usually the Oscars' theme.

Of course, stencils of Oscar statuettes are heavily featured throughout the space ... as if we'd forget which awards show we're watching. Point is ... they're getting the joint ready to go!

They do this every year -- but it's always fascinating to see what goes into making the venue actor-ready once cameras start rolling later this weekend. Clearly, there's a lot of work BTS.

Superstars like Margot Robbie, Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Robert Downey Jr., Ryan Gosling and America Ferrera are expected to attend ... as they're all big nominees heading into Tinseltown's biggest night.

Safe to say ... this thing will be backed with A-listers -- similar to how the 2023 show was.

That's to be expected, of course. Last year's awards show featured the likes of Austin Butler, Ana de Armas, Angela Bassett, Jamie Lee Curtis and Cate Blanchett ... all of whom stepped out for the event and posed for cameras.

Take a peek at last year's behind-the-scenes pics above for a taste of what's to come!

Rita Moreno I Banged Elvis to Get Back at Brando ... Ultimate Revenge!!!

Rita Moreno says that her heartbreak from her relationship with Marlon Brando led her right into the arms of another Hollywood icon ... Elvis Presley.

The "West Side Story" star recently told People that she accepted a date from the King of Rock 'n' Roll after Marlon left her in tears -- this after she says she discovered another woman's underwear while at his house.

Rita says Elvis himself didn't ask her out, but rather ... he had his longtime manager, Colonel Tom Parker, call her up. The Colonel reportedly told Rita ... "He liked what he saw and he would like very much to meet you. Would you like to meet him?"

Because RM says she was shaken up over Marlon -- she quickly accepted the invitation.

Rita and Marlon -- who first connected in 1954 on the set of the romance film, "Désirée" -- were on and off over the course of their eight-year romance. Despite him breaking her heart on several occasions ... the Oscar winner still considers him one of her great loves.

As for what happened with Elvis ... their fling was short-lived -- Rita told "The View" in 2021 that she found the singer "sweet but boring." Still, it's interesting to hear all these years later that she only banged him to get back at MB.

Of course, we're not sure Priscilla Presley -- would agree ... she's called Elvis the love of her own life ... and their relationship was documented as quite momentous by PP herself.

Anyway, Rita eventually found her own happy ending with doctor Leonard Gordon -- they were married for 45 years before his death in 2010. Marlon ended up marrying three times in total before his death in 2004.

Nothing like a little walk down memory lane, huh?

We discussed Marlon's legacy on a recent episode of Last Days, available on all podcast platforms.

Jake Gyllenhaal UFC Drops Hype Video ... For 'Road House' Role

The UFC just released one of the most kick-ass fight promos you'll ever see ... but it's not for Conor McGregor, Israel Adesanya or Jon Jones -- it's starring Jake Gyllenhaal!!

The Academy Award-nominated actor is portraying a former MMA fighter-turned-bouncer named Elwood Dalton in the upcoming reimagining of the cult classic, "Road House" ... and Dana White's organization is clearly going all-in on its involvement with the Prime Video project.

The promotion's social media accounts posted a 90-second clip on Thursday ... and it's all about Dalton's pursuit of a UFC championship against a dude named Jax "Jetway" Harris (played by former fighter Jay Hieron), who holds the belt at the time of the movie matchup.

It features all the great stuff any other fight promo would have -- highlights, voiceovers and training montages (shoutout to Jake's shredded bod).

Of course, the flick worked hard to make any fighting footage look legit ... even shooting scenes at a UFC event in 2023 to give it the full effect.

There are some pics out there that spoil the result of the Dalton vs. Harris fight ... but we won't do the same here so folks can enjoy it on March 21.

The project also stars McGregor, who's playing Dalton's nemesis ... as well as Post Malone, who apparently ends up a bloody mess at some point.

'Rust' Armorer Mug Shot Released Post-Conviction ... Already Wearing Jumpsuit

Hannah Gutierrez-Reed is already behind bars as she awaits sentencing after being convicted in the shooting death of Halyna Hutchins -- and her mug shot's already out.

The former armorer -- who was working on the set of "Rust" when the tragedy occurred in 2021 -- was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility Wednesday and did what every inmate has to do when they're processed ... take a photo for the record.

As you can see, Gutierrez-Reed didn't flash any smiles ... and her info is right there on the slate she's holding up. It's interesting, her mug is kinda old-timey, right down to the color grading.

As we reported, Hannah was remanded to custody immediately after the verdict was read aloud in court, where a jury returned a split verdict on two charges she was facing. She was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter, and not guilty of evidence tampering.

Hannah remained stoic throughout the proceeding, but her family was emotional behind her.

The trial lasted about 2 weeks, and prosecutors trotted out multiple witnesses who took the stand and testified against Hannah -- including producers who said, under oath, that she never requested additional armorer time on set (as she'd claimed), and she brushed off a logging system to make sure the weapons were being attended to properly during filming.

update

7:34 PM PT -- Halyna Hutchins' parents and sister just reacted to the news of Hannah's conviction. Their attorneys, Gloria Allred and John Carpenter, say ... "Halyna’s parents and her sister have always wanted everyone who is responsible for Halyna’s death to be held accountable.Today was the first trial and conviction in the criminal justice process."

They add, "We are satisfied that the jury, based on the evidence, found Hannah Gutierrez-Reed guilty beyond a reasonable doubt for her part in the taking of Halyna’s life.We look forward to the justice system continuing to make sure that everyone else who is responsible for Halyna's death is required to face the legal consequences for their actions."

Hannah Gutierrez-Reed -- the armorer on "Rust" who was charged in connection to the death of Halyna Hutchins -- just lost her criminal trial ... 'cause a jury says she's guilty of a crime.

A verdict was just read in court Wednesday out in New Mexico, where Gutierrez-Reed has been on trial since the end of last month ... with prosecutors going after her on two different charges -- namely, involuntary manslaughter and evidence tampering.

She was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter, but not guilty of the alleged tampering.

A slew of witnesses were trotted out by the prosecution ... including the first assistant director, a producer on the film, and a line producer as well -- all of whom testified against HGR.

The prosecution's case basically amounted to Hannah being careless on the set -- to the point that it amounted to negligence, they claimed -- and it sounds like the jurors agreed after about a 2 week-long trial.

Hannah was remanded to custody ... meaning she was taken to jail right there in the courthouse -- this despite the fact that her attorneys asked she remain free until sentencing. The judge denied that ... noting a death had occurred, and that she'd been found guilty.

Hannah's family was sitting behind her during all this, and once the decision was reached that she'd be going behind bars immediately ... her loved ones started to break down.

Hannah herself remained stoic throughout the proceeding, and she didn't put up a fight as deputies led her away. A sentencing date will be set later down the line. She was facing up to 3 years in prison if convicted on both counts ... now, it'll be a fraction of that -- just up to 18 months in prison and a $5,000 fine. Unclear how much time she'll end up serving.

As we reported ... some key people testified against Hannah -- with Ryan Winterstern (a producer) going under oath to refute Hannah's claim that she'd asked for more armorer time while they were shooting the flick, specifically as it related to Alec Baldwin's cross draw.

Another producer, Gabrielle Pickle, testified that Hannah had ignored her complaints about weapons being left unattended on the set ... and that she allegedly shot down a logging system to see who was handling the guns and when. That was just some of the evidence.

Hannah's defense ended up basically boiling down to her being overworked by the production ... with her attorneys insisting Halyna being shot and killed wasn't on her whatsoever.

Clearly, a jury disagreed on that front ... but they didn't see enough evidence to convince them that Hannah had tampered with anything. No word on whether she'll appeal.

Of course, Alec himself still has a looming trial that'll kick off later this summer. He's facing manslaughter charges as well ... which he's pled not guilty to.

"RUST" HANNAH GUTIERREZ-REED CULPABLE Por la muerte de Halyna Hutchins

LECTURA DEL VEREDICTO
Court TV

TIKTOK'S REESA TEESA Ex Says CAA Will Be Disappointed ... She Has No Talent!!!

The big shot Hollywood agents over at CAA are about to have buyer's remorse over their newest client in TikTok star Reesa Teesa ... at least according to the ex-husband.

Jerome McCoy -- dubbed "Legion" on Reesa's wildly popular 'Who TF Did I Marry?' video series -- tells TMZ ... Reesa does NOT have a career in Hollywood in front of her despite recently being signed to one of the biggest agencies out there.

The reason, according to him ... it's because he thinks she has no talent. Oof, brutal.

Reesa's ex also says she lacks the will to work hard for anything and has no discipline ... two key reasons he says led to their split in the first place.

CAA reportedly signed Reesa as a client this week, after her 'Who TF Did I Marry?' TikTok videos blew up ... the series reached 400 million impressions in just 3 weeks, which apparently caught the eye of the big-time Hollywood agency.

Waiting for your permission to load TikTok Post.

But, Jerome says the only thing Reesa's accomplished here is telling a compelling story ... and he thinks it's "horse crap that she might have a career" -- especially over something he considers a flat-out fabrication. Remember, her whole series details their relationship, which she characterized as full of lies.

Jerome -- who previously told us he's considering legal action against Reesa, as he claims she's smearing him in her videos -- doubles down here with us again ... saying it's disgusting she got quick fame from nothing but spinning a good yarn.

Reesa's ex also doesn't like the fact she added her CashApp to her TikTok account and is seemingly soliciting payments from fans ... he says the fame and fortune coming her way is BS, and that doesn't sit well with him.

Jerome's painted as the bad guy in the viral sensation that's raising Reesa's profile ... but he says the only thing he's guilty of is breaking up with a chick who had no ambition.

Clearly, CAA thinks otherwise ... but it will be interesting to see who gets the last laugh.

ADAM SANDLER Y MARGOT ROBBIE LOS ACTORES MEJOR PAGADOS DE 2023 ¡Enorme brecha salarial!

Adam protagonizó "Murder Mystery 2", "You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah", "Leo" y "Spaceman".

BARBIE UNVEILS NEW ROLE MODEL DOLLS ... Viola, Shania & More!!!

Some powerhouse celebrities are stepping into the spotlight as Barbie's newest role model dolls ... just in time for International Women's Day on March 8 and Barbie's 65th birthday on March 9.

From EGOT recipient Viola Davis, whose inclusion speaks volumes on its own, to the iconic 5-time Grammy winner Shania Twain, it's like a dream team of women being honored by Mattel ... which says it's making the dolls to introduce "girls to remarkable women's stories to show them you can be anything."

Shania even shared a snap of her posing with her one-of-a-kind Barbie doll, decked out in her classic "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!" attire -- gushing in the caption she was honored to continue spreading love and empowerment.

Kylie Minogue was also over the moon about her new Barbie doll, styled to perfection in red, just like her iconic "Padam Padam" music video ... admitting she couldn't believe she was being celebrated in such an iconic way.

Oscar-winning legend Helen Mirren is also immortalized with a doll ... after dipping her toes in the Barbie universe by narrating last year's box-office smash featuring Margot Robbie.

Mattel's also spreading the love worldwide ... they're honoring 4 other remarkable women from around the globe including Mexican director Lila Avilés, Brazilian content creator Maira Gomez, Japanese model Nicole Fujita and Iranian-German comedian Enissa Amani.

Life in plastic, it's certainly fantastic!

Adam Sandler & Margot Robbie Highest Paid Actors of 2023, But ... Huge Wage Gap in Btwn!!!

Adam Sandler and Margot Robbie were 2023's highest-paid actors -- but one is definitely making more than the other (and all the rest, too) with the difference being ... Netflix.

Forbes put out a list of all the big-shot actors who cleaned up last year -- and their ranking based on the numbers is interesting ... for a few different reasons, we suppose. For starters, the Sandman is king of the Hollywood money machine, having raked in $73 mil in '23.

If you're wondering where all that dough came from -- you can thank the biggest streamer in showbiz for lining his pockets ... Adam had 4 Netflix movies total that released last year.

Adam starred in "Murder Mystery 2," "You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah," "Leo" and "Spaceman" ... with that last one being released this year, although he already got paid for it.

Netflix and Adam have been in business for years now -- he's got an exclusive deal with them to produce a crap ton of flicks ... and he's certainly fulfilling his end of the bargain. In return, the guy's getting paid handsomely ... which is nuts considering these are streaming movies we're talking about here. Just goes to show ... this is the way of the future!

Margot, meanwhile, made $59 million last year ... obviously, most of that is "Barbie" money -- it made over $1 billion at the box office -- and she had a small cameo in "Asteroid City."

The difference between Margot and Adam -- aside from the $14 mil -- is that MR's an old-fashioned actress in the sense that her movies are strictly in theaters. Hmm ... interesting.

The rest of the list isn't all that surprising, as it includes a lot of big names -- including Tom Cruise ($45M), Ryan Gosling ($43M), Matt Damon ($43M), Jennifer Aniston ($42M), Leonardo DiCaprio ($41M), Jason Statham ($41M), Ben Affleck ($38M) and Denzel Washington ($24M).

Something else folks are noticing about this list ... a lot more dudes than chicks. So yeah, there seems to be a bit of a wage gap in H'wood still -- and the fellas are well on top.

'Oppenheimer' Nuclear Test Survivors Rip Movie, Congress ... We're Still Being Ignored!!!

030624-tina-cordova-kal 3/6/24
HERE'S WHAT THEY DIDN'T TELL YOU ...
TMZ.com

The nuclear bomb test shown in "Oppenheimer" left a lasting legacy of radiation exposure and cancer diagnosis on generations of folks who helped build Los Alamos in New Mexico ... but people there say their problems are still being ignored by Hollywood and Congress.

Tina Cordova, co-founder of the Tularosa Basin Downwinders Consortium, joined us on "TMZ Live" Wednesday and told us why the world's first nuclear bomb test is still affecting families in New Mexico, decades after Robert Oppenheimer's nuke detonated in the desert.

"Oppenheimer" looks poised to win a bunch of Oscar statues at this weekend's Academy Awards, but Tina says filmmakers blatantly excluded all the people who made Los Alamos and the Trinity Test possible in the first place.

Remember ... the nuclear bomb test in July 1945 took place amid thunderstorms, resulting in toxic debris falling back to earth in the ensuing rain ... contaminating the landscape, water supplies and the food chain ... and exposing New Mexico residents to harmful radiation.

Tina, who helped make a doc about the fallout, tells us cancer has decimated her family ever since the bomb went off -- they lived only 15 miles from the blast -- with 5 generations being diagnosed with all sorts of cancers ... including lung, oral, skin, brain and thyroid.

She says filmmakers left this nuclear mess out of the film on purpose ... similar to how New Mexico residents were left out of the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act back in the day, which provided financial compensation to Americans living near nuclear testing sites.

When folks living near the Trinity Test site were finally set to be included in RECA, potentially opening the door for payments, Tina says Republican leadership in Congress cut their funding because of budget concerns.

Now, with "Oppenheimer" gearing up for a big Oscars night and an upcoming Senate vote on reauthorizing and expanding RECA, Tina is banging the drum for the people of New Mexico.

It was an issue then ... and it remains an issue today.

Vanessa Hudgens Very Grateful for Austin Butler Split ... I Found My Person!!!

GRATEFUL FOR THE JOURNEY
She Pivots

Vanessa Hudgens has an optimistic outlook regarding her breakup with Austin Butler ... 'cause she says it led her to her husband, so she's happy things ended with him.

The actress got candid about how prior failed relationships made her reevaluate things on Wednesday's episode of the "She Pivots" podcast. As Vanessa explained ... her splitting from AB in 2020 led her to Cole Tucker, whom she calls the "right person."

Vanessa -- who married Cole in December in a lavish wedding in Mexico -- made it clear she couldn't be more grateful for her MLB player spouse in the wake of the Butler split.

She says, "He's just the most supportive, real understanding human being that I've ever met."

Despite VH and AB's frosty reunion at the 2023 Oscars -- where Vanessa infamously walked by Austin at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party without saying a word -- it seems there's no bad blood between the exes ... but then again, her words here do kinda sound like a dig.

Austin recently emphasized the love and care he says he still has for Vanessa in an interview from February ... this after catching flak for labeling her as nothing more than a friend, even though they dated for nearly 10 years.

As we reported ... Austin referred to his ex of almost a decade as just a friend when detailing how his iconic role in Baz Luhrmann's "Elvis" came to be. Yet ... during a chat with Esquire last month -- he defended that he didn't mean to downplay their love story -- he just wanted to protect her from having to comment on their past relationship.

It's clear that everyone has happily moved on these days -- with Austin now dating Kaia Gerber. Of course, Vanessa is now a married woman herself ... and looks smitten with Cole.

Closure all around ... or so it seems!

VANESSA HUDGENS MUY AGRADECIDA POR LA SEPARACIÓN DE AUSTIN BUTLER "¡Encontré al indicado!"

AGRADECIDa POR EL VIAJE
She Pivots
