Sí, estamos hablando de "Barbie", "Oppenheimer" y otros peces gordos de la carrera, pero por el comportamiento de Jeffrey, nunca imaginarías que está sudando la gota gorda... ¡porque no es así!

Cuando le preguntamos directamente si "American Fiction" tiene posibilidades reales de ganar en cualquiera de las categorías... le devuelve la pregunta a nuestro cámara, quien, según Jeffrey, ha respondido a la pregunta él mismo sin darse cuenta.

En resumen, la película es absolutamente increíble y aunque es "pequeña", sigue siendo poderosa.

Esa es la conclusión de Jeffrey, de todos modos, y ciertamente parece confiado en el trabajo.

We got the Best Actor nominee Wednesday at LAX, where we asked all about the fact 'AF' was nominated a ton on Tuesday -- racking up 5 Oscar nods on everything from Best Actor to Original Score and, of course, the big prize in Best Picture.

For starters, Jeff told us he hates the fact the Oscars race turns art into a competition, and told us he's just happy to be in the mix of things with all those blockbuster hits that are considered Oscar darlings this year.

Yes, we're talking about "Barbie," "Oppenheimer" and some other big fish in the race -- but from Jeffrey's demeanor here, you'd never guess he's sweating it ... 'cause he ain't!

When we ask him straight up if "American Fiction" has a realistic path toward victory in any of its categories ... he puts it back on our camera guy, who Jeffrey says inadvertently answered the question himself.

Bottom line, the movie is absolutely amazing and even though it's "small" ... it's still mighty.

That's JW's takeaway, anyway, and he certainly seems confident in the work.

We're just past the mid-way point in the week, and we are rolling at TMZ when it comes to our television shows ... 'cause now, we're talking biting fetishes, and Hillary Clinton!!!

The sad news came courtesy of the singer's PR firm, which announced her death on Tuesday -- but which didn't disclose any official cause, or the exact circumstances. Her children also confirmed her passing to various outlets.

Melanie is, perhaps, most famous for singing at the OG Woodstock back in '69 ... where she crooned as one of just a few solo female performers that year, and left quite an impression on the audience. In fact, her experience at Woodstock went on to inspire more music.

One song she ended up writing in the wake of that was 'Lay Down (Candles in the Rain)' -- and it apparently had to do with people doing exactly that at the historic gathering.

A couple years after her big Woodstock gig ... Melanie came out with a single that put her on the map, and it was called 'Brand New Key,' which went on to become her biggest hit.

The actor/comedian was at the Hollywood Burbank Airport Wednesday when a photog asked if he had a message for the reclusive fitness guru. In a nutshell, Pauly's pleading with Richard to watch "The Court Jester" on YouTube and keep an open heart while he does it.

PS says he thinks he's got a shot at convincing Richard if he sees the flick -- which premiered at Sundance on Friday night -- but he just doesn't want him to flat-out dismiss it beforehand.

Now, he's not going to turn down constructive criticism ... Pauly says he wants Richard's honest feedback, and he's willing to make changes.

Interestingly, Pauly says he wants Richard on board as a full-time collaborator for the feature-length biopic -- he even envisions them with matching "Richard" director chairs on the set.

Bottom line ... Pauly says he's moving forward with the project -- but there's a whole lotta room for Simmons' touch if he's interested in surfacing ... which we highly doubt.

This saga's been making fans sweat for a couple weeks -- last week, Richard made it clear he was in no way involved with Pauly's project ... and to get his point across he even broke his public silence via Facebook, which he's only done twice in about a decade.

Pauly's clearly not deterred by Richard's condemnation ... he's insisted Richard might just change his mind -- and last week, before the 'Court Jester' premiere, he suggested the 75-year-old icon was softening.

He claims Richard texted him earlier in the day to wish him "good luck" at Sundance.

Kevin Spacey's getting back into the public eye after his acquittal in London last summer ... and a lot of people are none too happy about it -- which they're making quite clear.

Here's the deal ... the controversial actor's scheduled to appear at Mad Monster Party 2024 in North Carolina next month -- a three-day convention dedicated to all things horror/pop culture. Other stars like Kiefer Sutherland, Lou Diamond Phillips, Taryn Manning, Jason Patric and more are attending the event as well.

Clearly, organizers are jazzed at KS' inclusion ... touting his accolades and selling pro photo-ops for big money -- no selfies allowed at the autograph table. If you want a pic, you'll have to shell out $225.

The photo opportunities are themed too ... Friday, Feb 16 they'll set one up for "The Usual Suspects"-type pic, Saturday's for "Se7en" and Sunday, Feb. 18 will see Kevin take "House of Cards" pics -- basically, Spacey's greatest hits.

Now, it didn't take long for people to voice their outrage ... with a good handful of folks saying in unequivocal terms they find the organizers reprehensible for giving Spacey a platform after all of the allegations leveled against him. Just check their comments.

In essence, a lot of fans don't seem to care Kevin was acquitted last year on a host of charges -- as we previously reported, Spacey was found not guilty of nine total counts based on a host of sexual assault allegations in a London court last year after a lengthy trial.

He's also been sued in New York for a different alleged sexual assault ... a massage therapist is claiming the 64-year-old made unwanted and inappropriate sexual advances toward him during three 90-minute sessions back in 2016.

The two-time Academy Award winner's never been convicted of a crime for any of the allegations brought against him ... and he's denied any and all wrongdoing, FWIW.

It'll be interesting to see how many fans want to take a pic with Spacey next month ... or if any protests will spring up in NC.

Hillary Clinton escribió: "Greta y Margot, aunque puede doler ganar la taquilla, pero no llevarse el oro a casa, sus millones de fans las aman. Ambas son mucho más que Kenough".

También lanzó su propio y divertido hashtag para rematar su punto, añadiendo: "#HillaryBarbie".

Hillary es solo la última persona que está criticando las nominaciones. Recuerden, el propio Ryan denunció el hecho de que su coprotagonista y directora no hayan sido reconocidas, a pesar de que él mismo consiguió una nominación como Mejor Actor de Reparto.

Dijo: "Ningún reconocimiento sería posible para nadie en la película sin su talento, valentía y genialidad. Decir que me decepciona que no estén nominados en sus respectivas categorías sería quedarme corto". Asimismo, también alabó la nominación de America Ferrera.

Hablando de America, ella también ha criticado la exclusión de Margot y Greta, sumándose a la indignación colectiva que gran parte de Internet ha expresado en las últimas 24 horas.

Margot y Greta no han dicho nada al respecto, pero la gente les cubre las espaldas.

Dato curioso sobre la composición de la Academia el año pasado: parece que el 33% de los miembros con derecho a voto son mujeres o se identifican como mujeres, así que sí, parece que hay más hombres que mujeres. Es difícil decir si eso está detrás de que estas dos no hayan sido seleccionadas, pero es interesante.

Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig have a new champion in their corner trashing the fact they weren't nominated for Oscars -- with none other than Hillary Clinton chirping up.

The ex-Sec. of State -- and one-time presidential candidate -- just tweeted about the hotly-debated nominations heard around the world Tuesday ... and she's in the camp that this was an egregious snub from Academy members ... especially in light of Ryan Gosling's nod.

HC wrote, "Greta & Margot, While it can sting to win the box office but not take home the gold, your millions of fans love you. You’re both so much more than Kenough."

She also threw in her own little fun hashtag to cap off her point, adding ... "#HillaryBarbie."

Hillary is just the latest person to slam the non-nominations -- remember, Ryan himself actually denounced the fact his costar/director didn't receive recognition ... even though he himself got a Best Supporting Actor nomination.

He said, "No recognition would be possible for anyone on the film without their talent, grit and genius. To say that I’m disappointed that they are not nominated in their respective categories would be an understatement." Likewise, he also praised America Ferrera's nom.

Speaking of America ... she, too, slammed Margot and Greta's exclusion -- just piling on top of the collective outrage most of the Internet has been expressing over the past 24 hours.

Margot and Greta haven't said anything about it themselves ... but people have their backs.

Fun fact about the Academy's makeup as of last year -- it looks like 33% of voting members are women or female-identifying ... so yes, there does seem to be more guys than gals. Hard to say if that's behind these two not getting selected or not ... but it is interesting.

Sofia Vergara ain't apologizing for being hot ... saying it's absurd to think her giant breasts and amazing figure weren't the reason behind her fame.

The actress says her looks were her passport to the world as a young model at 20 ... telling Spanish newspaper El País feeling bad about the hand that fed her won't cut it -- especially cause she's still a massive name decades later at 51.

Sofia says she learned to play to her strengths early on ... after realizing boys started giving her attention and treating her differently.

Though, she says if you're only fixating on her boobs, then that's a you problem ... cause her bubbly personality is behind her longevity in the entertainment business.

Sofia says she's not performing brain surgery ... so the worst someone can do is say she looks ugly and can't act -- which she can stomach and continue moving things along.

She's aware there are women who are younger, prettier, have bigger breasts, and a better figure than her now ... but she ain't sweating it cause she's demonstrated her staying power -- especially with the career risks she takes.

Netflix's upcoming series "Griselda" is one such risk ... the usually glam Sofia morphs into the gritty titular lead -- a real-life story based on the leader of one of the most profitable drug cartels in history.

The shift to such a dramatic role comes on the heels of the huge shift in Sofia's personal life -- she split from Joe Manganiello after 7 years of marriage last year over their differences in wanting kids ... he does, she doesn't.

"Griselda" is already getting early critical acclaim, so it's true what Sofia says ... she ain't solely banking on those good looks anymore; it's her talent that shines.

El cambio a un papel tan dramático llega justo después del gran cambio en su vida personal. Después de 7 años de matrimonio, Sofía se separó de Joe Manganiello el año pasado por sus diferencias sobre querer tener hijos. Él quería y ella no.

Meghan Markle y el príncipe Harry hicieron una inesperada aparición pública en Jamaica para asistir al estreno de la nueva película de Bob Marley, lo que es interesante.

El duque y la duquesa de Sussex volaron hasta Kingston el martes por la noche para ver la película biográfica sobre el fallecido cantante, y sí, estaban vestidos de punta en blanco y sonriendo de oreja a oreja y al parecer bastante contentos de estar allí.

Como hemos dicho, la pareja real no sale mucho, por lo que aparecer en esta película tal vez habla de un par de cosas diferentes, suponiendo que ustedes quieren leer sobre ellas.

Para empezar, vale la pena señalar que Jamaica como nación ha estado pidiéndole a la monarquía británica en el último tiempo que les permita convertirse en una república independiente, similar a Barbados, que se separó en los últimos años.

De hecho, el Primer Ministro de Jamaica ha hablado sobre esto con firmeza, con nada menos que el príncipe William y Kate Middleton durante una gira por el país en 2022.

Por eso también llamó la atención la presencia del Primer Ministro en el estreno, sobre todo porque Meg y Harry posaron con él y se mostraron muy cariñosos. Te hace pensar...

Teniendo en cuenta su propia historia, podríamos imaginar que Meghan Markle y el Príncipe Harry están en consonancia con lo que Jamaica quiere, por lo que estar de pie, hombro con hombro, con Andrew Holness dice mucho.

El otro elemento es que esta película de Bob Marley está siendo distribuida a través de Paramount, y un jefe del estudio, el presidente de Nickelodeon, Brian Robbins, también estuvo allí y también posó con Meghan y Harry en un momento durante su visita.

Sabemos que estos dos (Meg y Harry, a saber) están en busca de nuevas oportunidades en el mundo del espectáculo después de tomar algunos bultos el año pasado, y esto casi parece como si estuvieran arrimándose al equipo de la montaña y las estrellas.
