Burt Young -- best known for his role as Paulie in the "Rocky" film franchise -- has died.

The Oscar-nominated actor passed away in Los Angeles on October 8. A cause of death was not disclosed.

His manager told TMZ, “Burt was an actor of tremendous emotional range. He could make you cry and he could scare you to death."

Young appeared in dozens of movies and TV shows during his decades-long career. Some of his most notable flicks included "Chinatown," "Once Upon a Time in America," "Back to School" and "The Pope of Greenwich Village."

He also landed parts in 2 hit TV programs, "M*A*S*H" and "Baretta."

But, Young will always be remembered most for playing Paulie, the rough and tumble brother-in-law of Sylvester Stallone's Rocky Balboa.

They starred together in each of the five "Rocky" movies from 1976 to 1990, as well as the final one in the series, "Rocky Balboa," in 2006.

Young received an Academy Award nomination for his portrayal of Paulie in 1976, but lost to Jason Robards as Washington Post editor Ben Bradlee in "All The President's Men."

Young was 83.

Sophia Bush is in a new relationship, but she's in no rush to talk about it ... staying quiet about things with recently divorced USWNT star Ashlyn Harris.

Sophia touched down at LAX Wednesday, just one day after news broke she and Harris were a new item. Sophia wasn't in the mood to talk -- avoiding answering about how she and Ashlyn met or what it's been like to get support from her estranged husband, Grant Hughes.

As we reported, Grant's been nothing but supportive of Sophia's new relationship -- just two months after Sophia filed for divorce.

In a statement to TMZ, a rep for Grant tells us, "Grant will always want the best for Sophia, and is supportive of all that makes her happy and fulfilled."

Sophia's not the only one who recently got divorced, Ashlyn and her wife Ali Krieger filed for divorce just last month after 4 years together ... they've got two young kids together.

Canadian actress Kathleen Robertson was 28 years old when she played Theo -- the busty, hot gal who uses her looks to survive the haunted mansion Hell House -- in the supernatural parody film "Scary Movie 2" back in 2001.

Kathleen shared the comedic script with "Scary Movie" icon Anna Faris as the prudish and caring college student, Cindy, Regina Hall as Cindy's bestie who gives zero F's, Brenda, Marlon Wayans as the stoner, Shorty and Shawn Wayans as Brenda's boyfriend who hits on other guys, Ray.

Prior to "Scary Movie 2," Kathleen was cast as the series regular, Clare Arnold, on "Beverly Hills, 90210" from 1994-1997.

Jussie Smollett is getting help through a rehab treatment facility ... TMZ has confirmed with a rep from Smollett's camp.

The rep tells us, "Jussie has had an extremely difficult past few years. He has quietly been working very hard for some time now and we are proud of him for taking these necessary steps." We're told Smollett is in an outpatient program.

Smollett's rehab stint comes amid his ongoing appeal in his Chicago criminal case. As we've reported, Jussie was found guilty of lying to cops about an alleged attack back in 2019 where he claimed two masked Trump supporters attacked him and put a noose around his neck.

Jussie was sentenced to 150 days in jail for the incident, but was released from jail for his appeal a short time after the sentence. He's been spotted working on film sets here in California as the legal process plays out -- including a project with Vivica A. Fox -- where he seemed to be directing.

JS has also been hanging out with his former "Empire" costar, Taraji P. Henson, spotted on a hike in L.A. -- so, he hasn't necessarily been trying to lay low ... even hitting the BET Awards last year, catching a bit of flack from folks who were shocked to see him attend.

Though we don't know exactly what he's getting treated for ... drug use was mentioned quite a bit during his trial. The Osundairo brothers -- who claimed Jussie hired to be his attackers -- took to the stand to claim they were also his dealers ... and they supplied him with illegal substances on a number of occasions.

Jada Pinkett Smith and her daughter Willow aren't letting all their family's recent drama ruin their appetites ... or their good vibes, apparently.

Jada and Willow went out to dinner Tuesday at Il Mulino Prime in New York City's SoHo district ... and it looks like they had a rocking good time.

The mother-daughter duo was laughing and smiling as they booked it out of the swanky Italian steakhouse ... where they were likely celebrating the release of Jada's memoir, "Worthy."

Jada and Willow certainly had a lot to talk about over dinner ... as you know, Jada's been spilling all sorts of family secrets during her media blitz for the book -- and even if Willow knew most of the tea, the public reaction to it certainly new to them.

As we reported ... Jada had a lot to say about Willow's dad, Will Smith ... like the fact they've been separated for 7 years and pulling off the charade of presenting themselves like a committed couple.

Jada also spilled her guts about Tupac Shakur, revealed she's had suicidal thoughts, detailed her experiences with psychedelic drugs and dished on Chris Rock ... among so many other things.

HB did have a bandage on her arm near her elbow, indicating a possible blood draw. If she's preggo, giving blood is something that's done regularly for all sorts of tests.

It looks like DDG also gave blood too, for some reason, because he had a bandage on his left arm.

Halle first sparked pregnancy rumors last month at the MTV Video Music Awards ... when she wore a large, flowing orange dress onstage to present an award.

She also reportedly remained cautious backstage, greeting celebs with handshakes instead of hugs.

Add it all up and it seems like Halle and DDG are starting a family -- but, to be fair, they haven't confirmed anything. Not yet.

Fat Joe is full of optimism these days ... he's confident Jay-Z's new casino endeavor will boost NYC's economy, and he also doesn't think Jada Pinkett Smith's been spinning tall tales about Tupac.

We caught up with Don Cartagena out in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of NYC, not too far from where Jay's got grand plans to open Manhattan's first casino.

Joe and Angela Rye were busy pumping up Roc Nation and Caesars Palace's bid to build a gaming palace smack dab in Times Square.

Joe thinks once the gambling hub is built and established, it'll attract everyone from around the world and potentially create thousands of jobs for NYC residents -- so, there's potential for a true win-win?

Jay's serious about the casino's construction -- he even wrote an open letter to his city with his list of reasons why he should be the one to see the project through.

Critics of the casino say the new monument will attract even newer crime and congestion but Joe argues that ownership is the only way to truly liberate the people.

Speaking of liberation, Joe is giving his full support to Jada's "Worthy" book, in spite of all the backlash over her fractured marriage with Will Smith.

Alec Baldwin might be put through the legal wringer again -- because prosecutors are zeroing in on him again ... a move his legal team thinks is complete BS.

The Santa Fe District Attorney's Office announced Monday that they'll convene a grand jury in the near future to consider whether to refile an involuntary manslaughter charge against Baldwin ... saying they feel it's appropriate for ordinary citizens to decide if the case against him should be revived.

Baldwin's attorneys, Luke Nikas and Alex Spiro of Quinn Emanuel tell TMZ ... "It is unfortunate that a terrible tragedy has been turned into this misguided prosecution. We will answer any charges in court."

Remember, the D.A. dropped this same charge against Baldwin just earlier this year ... this after making a big show of filing charges in the first place. While they seemed to close the book on his role in the fatal shooting of Halyna Hutchins -- they did say at the time that they reserved the right to recharge him if new information came to light. Apparently, it has.

Prosecutors reportedly decided to send the case back to the grand jury after submitting the gun for further analysis, which they claim contradicts Baldwin saying he never pulled the trigger.

This latest news comes on the heels of a ruling in the pending case against the armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed just last week -- when a judge decided that the production companies involved in "Rust" had to fork over correspondence and other docs pertaining to the film's pre-production.

The implication ... prosecutors wanted to see what, if any, role Alec had as a producer of the film as it pertains to allegations that corners were cut when it came to gun safety and training -- something Gutierrez-Reed has claimed took place in defending herself.
