O.J. Simpson's attorney is doing an about-face on a statement he made last week in which he said the Goldmans would get zip from his late client's estate in the wake of his death.

Malcolm LaVergne -- the executor of O.J.'s will, and his longtime lawyer -- told THR that he might've been a little overzealous in what he initially said on this topic ... namely, that he'd fight tooth and nail to make sure the Goldmans received zero dollars from O.J.'s estate.

He says, "I can tell you in advance, Fred Goldman's claim will be accepted. And his claim will be handled in accordance with Nevada law."

Donald Trump's first criminal trial is getting underway, and on the first day of court proceedings -- he was reportedly dozing off ... now, a new nickname is among us.

The ex-Prez showed up in court Monday in NYC, where his hush-money case kicked off -- the first of his three criminal trials -- and where Donald had to sit through a day full of lawyers talking about the ins and outs of how this thing is gonna go.

Of course, they have to start with jury selection ... and as the attorneys were going back and forth, NYT reporter Maggie Haberman went on CNN to claim Trump appeared to be sleeping.

Johnny Depp is looking to buy a medieval castle in the Italian countryside ... but the town isn't sold on having him, even though we know he'd show deference as a neighbor.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... the actor recently toured a castle in Montalto Dora, Italy -- a small town with a little over 3,000 people living there -- as a potential addition to his real estate portfolio. However, we're told nothing is official ... but he is considering a buy.

The castle is valued at about $4 million, and it's for sale ... if he is interested in claiming it as his own.

Rob Schneider is calling BS on the notion he bombed in front of a bunch of Republican lawmakers -- calling the report a hit piece ... and even labeling it as "woke" propaganda.

Politico put out a story this week touching on an event Rob headlined late last year for a bunch of prominent figures in the GOP here in L.A. -- where a ton of senators and other high-level Republicans were in attendance ... who apparently hated his set.

The report says Rob was supposed to do a 30-minute show -- but organizers cut him off 10 minutes in because his jokes were too raunchy and off-color ... with one senator, Cindy Hyde-Smith, reportedly walking out and calling his material "gross and vulgar."

Coachella kicked off its first weekend on a high note ... managing to rack up a grand total of $0 in curfew fines, which seems to line up with how many tickets were still up for grabs.

A rep for the City of Indio -- where Coachella takes place -- tells TMZ ... no curfew rules were broken during the first installment of the festival, and everyone stuck to the 1 AM curfew for Friday and Saturday ... while shutting things down by midnight on Sunday.

In other words ... there was no reason to fine anyone for going over on time -- and considering the lackluster response to this year's lineup ... we suppose that makes sense.

Two people who say they were injured in the car crash that Rashee Rice was involved in last month are now suing the NFL star ... asking that he fork over more than $10 MILLION for his role in the wreck.

Edvard Petrovskiy and Irina Gromova filed the lawsuit in Dallas County last week -- less than a month after they say Rice's reckless actions caused them injuries in a massive pileup on a Texas highway.

Petrovskiy and Gromova say on March 30, Rice was in a Lamborghini Urus, racing his friend Theodore Knox -- who was in a Corvette -- when the two lost control and barreled into other innocent drivers on the roadway.

2:13 PM PT -- A spokesperson for Kraft Heinz tells TMZ ... "We’re aware of the complaint and strongly disagree with the allegations. Certain substances like lead occur in the environment and can be found at low levels in agricultural products—whether on grocery store shelves, in the produce section, or grown in your back yard. Kraft Heinz is facing a class action lawsuit -- which claims their Lunchables are basically a scrap yard for metals that end up in the mouths of kids everywhere.

In the docs, obtained by TMZ, Laura LaSpisa accuses Kraft of misleading consumers with false advertising about their pre-packaged meal kits. She claims they failed to mention the kits contain harmful levels of lead, cadmium, and phthalates -- a group of chemicals typically used to make plastic more durable.

According to the suit, a Consumer Reports study revealed some troubling findings recently ... and Laura claims until then, the company had convinced her she was buying a safe and nutritious snack.

DaBaby is being accused of pocketing a popular YouTuber's $20k deposit for an appearance on his channel ... a claim the "BOP" rapper isn't denying, but says he's simply collecting the fee to pay for his wasted time!!!

A guy named Michael Wright -- who also goes by Lah Mike -- runs the YouTube series "20 vs. 1," and posted surveillance video of DaBaby supposedly showing up for a skit, only to back out of his obligations while keeping the money.

A verbal dispute with someone in Lah Mike's camp appeared to have taken place over a "fart-sucking" joke, which led to DaBaby waltzing right out the door!!!

Prop tanks from the 2014 war film "Fury" are about to hit the auction block, and they're expected to fetch tens of thousands.

Tracks & Trade -- an auction platform for unique historical military vehicles -- has listed the 2 tanks featured in the movie starring Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf, which were used in place of actual WWII vehicles during filming to prevent potential damage to the authentic ones.

One of the tanks listed is called the "Sherman," while the other is named the "Tiger" -- the latter which had limited gear change opportunities.

"The Real Housewives of Orange County" star Kelly Dodd and her husband, Rick Leventhal are pulling up stakes and lookin' to invest heavily on the West Coast ... listing their Hamptons home for $1.2 million.

Kelly and Rick, a former senior correspondent at Fox News, listed their home for $1,199,000 on Friday ... a four-bedroom, two-bathroom home in Westhampton a stone's throw from the beach.

Cam'ron's defending O.J. Simpson's legacy ... saying people need to back off since a jury acquitted him -- and blasting Caitlyn Jenner in the process.

The rapper hopped on the "It Is What It Is" podcast Friday to discuss Simpson's legacy the day after he died, and immediately started defending the controversial figure.

Cam points out a jury found O.J. not guilty of the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman in his 1995 criminal trial ... so, he says he's shocked people think it's fine to call him a murderer.

O.J. Simpson's estate won't pay his civil trial's judgment anytime soon ... according to the estate's executor who says he plans to fight any payments to the Browns or Goldmans.

Simpson's will -- obtained by TMZ -- names his longtime attorney Malcolm LaVergne as his executor ... and, Malcolm says he's focused on keeping money out of the hands of the families, specifically the Goldmans. The will also refers to a trust, which all his property was placed into in January.

Malcolm tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal, "It's my hope that the Goldmans get zero, nothing. Them specifically. And I will do everything in my capacity as the executor or personal representative to try and ensure that they get nothing."

Sales of O.J. Simpson's "If I Did It" book have exploded since the infamous star's death, with the publication skyrocketing to the top of the charts.

76-year-old O.J. died on Wednesday -- a day before the public found out -- when the Simpson family announced the news ... and reignited interest in the grizzly, 1994 double murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.

According to Amazon.com, the world's largest bookseller, "If I Did It" sits in the number 1, 2, and 4 spots (different versions of the book -- audio, abridged, unabridged) in the entire Criminology section. It's also number 8 in the Murder/True Crime section.

2:22 PM PT -- Ippei Mizuhara showed up to his court appearance with shackles around his ankles ... although the chains were ultimately removed as the hearing got underway.

During the proceedings, Mizuhara -- wearing a dark-colored suit -- learned he will be released on $25,000 bond ... but he will have to abide by a myriad of conditions in order to stay out of custody -- including no gambling whatsoever.

Mizuhara will also have to enroll in a gamblers addiction treatment program ... as well as, among other stipulations, have no communication with Shohei Ohtani.
