Wyoming born wrestler Rulon Gardner inspired the world in 2000 when he traveled to Sydney, Australia to represent Team USA as a heavy-weight Greco-Roman wrestler to compete (and defeat) the unstoppable Russian Aleksandr Karelin in the finals and to take home the gold medal in one of the greatest moments in Olympics history!

That Olympic victory wasn't the most challenging part of Rulon's life ... he also battled through frostbite and hypothermia after a snowmobile accident in 2002 and an airplane crash into a lake in Utah in 2007.

Gardner continues to inspire the world ... but as a motivational speaker!

West Virginia athlete Mary Lou Retton was only 16 years old when she became a household name after she made the American gymnastics team and competed in the 1984 Summer Olympics Games held in Los Angeles ... where MLR took home the gold medal in individual all-around, as well as two silver and two bronze medals.

Retton was part of a power-packed squad of young gymnasts including Pamela Bileck, Tracee Talavera, Kathy Johnson, Michelle Dusserre and Julianne McNamara ... who worked together to win the silver medal in the team all-around.

New York native Andy Milonakis blasted onto the scene in 2005 with wacky antics, a bizarre hip hop career and viral video moments -- all while confusing audiences with his prepubescent appearance even though he was nearly 30 years old -- that culminated with his MTV sketch comedy program "The Andy Milonakis Show."

Andy went on to find big parts in movies like "Waiting..." and "Mac & Devin Go to High School" ... but he's found much more success doing voice-over work in animated programs like "Adventure Time" and "Future-Worm!"

Jacksonville, Florida artist Fred Durst was only 30 years old when he shot to fame as the frontman of the band Limp Bizkit ... and landed at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 charts after they released their 1999 sophomore studio album Significant Other that included the singles "Nookie" and "Break Stuff."

Durst and LB continued to ride their wave of success after they quickly churned out their 2000 follow-up record Chocolate Starfish And The Hot Dog Flavored Water ... which contained "Take A Look Around" and the hard-hitting classic "Rollin'."

Since Limp Bizkit's final album in 2011, Fred has switched gears and now spends his time as an actor and director.

Italian model and actress Elisabetta Canalis was only 30 years old when she became a household name in the U.S. after she was whisked around the world in a 2-year relationship with America's favorite A-lister George Clooney.

Shortly after Canalis and GC split in 2011 Elisabetta took the stage of "Dancing with the Stars" but was quickly eliminated after only two episodes.

Before her role in the rock movies Tia could be spotted in over thirty episodes of the TV soap "General Hospital" as Jade Soong in the late '80s.

Tennessee native Russell Sams was in his mid-twenties when he was cast as the cig smoking trouble-maker Dick -- who disrupts the luncheon with Paul and their uptight moms with his loud antics and crude conversations -- in Bret Easton Ellis' 2002 dark drama "The Rules of Attraction."

Russell shared the big screen of the "American Psycho" prequel with a long list of A-List actors including Ian Somerhalder as the bisexual best friend, Paul Denton, Swoosie Kurtz as the flabbergasted mother, Mimi Jared, and Faye Dunaway as Paul's posh mom, Eve Denton.

California actor Khamani Griffin was only 5 years old when he got his first taste of fame after he was cast as the adorable Robert "Bobby" James Jr. -- who goes back and forth between his divorced parents -- in the 2003 family sitcom "All of Us."

Griffin was cast alongside Duane Martin as the hard-working father, Robert James Sr., Elise Neal as the fiancee, Tia Jewel and LisaRaye McCoy as the loving mom, Neesee James.

The same year that Khamani starred in The CW television show he also made his big-screen debut as Ben in "Daddy Day Care" opposite Eddie Murphy.

Seattle-based rapper Sir Mix-A-Lot (real name Anthony Ray) shot to worldwide fame after he released his third album "Mack Daddy" back in 1992 ... which included the bass-bumping, booty-shaking and posterior-praising single "Baby Got Back."

"Baby Got Back" was such a huge success that held the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for multiple weeks and earned Sir Mix-A-Lot a Grammy for Best Rap Solo Performance.

The Sir went on to make a total of six studio albums in his music career but never reached the same success as his 1992 release.

Child actor Justin Shenkarow was only 12 years old when he took on the role of his life as the older of the two sons Matthew Brock -- who navigated the bizarre town in Wisconsin while his parents try to keep the peace in the madness -- in the classic '90s American drama "Picket Fences."

Justin was cast alongside some epic actors including Kathy Baker as the medical mom of three kids, Dr. Jill Brock, Holly Marie Combs as the eldest sister, Kim Brock and Tom Skerritt as the straight-nosed Sherriff, Jimmy Brock.

Atlanta artist Fonzworth Bentley (real name Derek Watkins) gained fame in the early 2000s as Diddy's assistant and stylish sidekick -- with his eye-catching signature accessories like umbrellas, suspenders, bowties and even a violin -- on reality shows like MTV's "Making The Band 2" and as the host of "From G's To Gents."

New York City native Don Stark has had a long and impressive career in the entertainment biz with TV and movie credits going back to the actual early '70s ... but Don's best known for his role as the free-loving father Bob Pinciotti -- who raises his daughter with a few blonde bombshells -- in the Fox sitcom "That '70s Show."

Gerry, Leo and Myles stuck around Hollywood for a few years for the "Baby Geniuses" 2004 follow-up film "Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2" as the potion drinking hero kid, Kahuna.

The stud siblings, who no longer work in the entertainment biz, still live north of the border and play hockey and golf together regularly.

Chicago native Michael Gross shot to stardom in the '80s after he landed the life-changing role as the easygoing hippie father Steven Keaton -- who looks after his four children and wife -- on the classic NBC family sitcom "Family Ties."

Gross shared the small screen with some iconic child actors including Justine Bateman as the shopaholic daughter, Mallory Keaton, Tina Yothers as the sporty middle child, Jennifer Keaton, Brian Bonsall as the super cute late addition to the family, Andy Keaton ... and of course Michael J. New York City native Big Daddy Kane (real name Antonio Hardy) was only 20 years old when he cemented himself into the East Coast music scene as a hip hop icon after he released his 1988 debut album "Long Live the Kane," which included the stand-out single "Ain't No Half-Steppin'" and his 1989 sophomore album "It's a Big Daddy Thing" ... which was packed with hits like "Warm It Up Kane" and "Smooth Operator."

With one-of-a-kind lyrics, a unique rap style and a futuristic fashion sense ... BDK will always be an icon (and father figure) in hip hop history.

Nashville country icons Kix Brooks (left) and Ronnie Dunn (right) -- better known as Brooks & Dunn -- swept through the south and across the country in 1991 with their debut album Brand New Man ... which included some serious stand-out singles including "Neon Moon," "Brand New Man" ... and of course "Boot Scootin' Boogie."

Before they decided to retire in 2009, the iconic cowboys went on to release over ten albums and headline tours across the US with other big-name musicians like Reba McEntire, Big & Rich and many more.

Brooks & Dunn are now immortalized in the Country Music Hall Of Fame.
