Pets who have been separated from families displaced by the Los Angeles wildfires are fighting for their lives ... because there are limited ways for them to get food and water.
The heartbreaking situation is playing out in Pacific Palisades and Altadena, where people's pets have been left behind to fend for themselves in the rubble.
No food or water is being left for the cats, dogs and other pets who survived the fires ... according to Chris Valles from Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control.

Peysoh, best known for collaborating with Kendrick Lamar on his chart-topping "GNX" album, is using his rising star power to do some good ... giving back to his hometown of Los Angeles amid the ongoing wildfires.
TMZ Hip Hop caught up with the rapper outside of Asaali Jeans on Melrose, where he shared how he's contributing to the relief efforts in the City of Angels.

Peysoh, a local from East L.A., tells us he's already passed out enough supplies "to feed a city" ... and doesn't seem to be slowing down his philanthropic efforts.

3:53 PM PT -- We caught up with Dave Grohl today in L.A. after his fire relief effort.

Dave Grohl spent his birthday putting others first, whipping up hearty meals for people affected by the L.A. wildfires and the brave firefighters battling the blazes.
Check out the clip -- Dave was stirring up a giant vat of chili Tuesday while volunteering with Feed The Streets Los Angeles, the group that's stepping up big-time to feed displaced families, inmate firefighters and other frontline workers in the wake of the recent devastation.
Feed The Streets shared an IG Story of Grohl in action, with another clip showing him pushing containers down the pavement to get those meals out to those in need.
Leonardo DiCaprio Donates $1M to Wildfire Relief Through Org
Leonardo DiCaprio is keeping up his philanthropic work, pledging $1M to support wildfire relief efforts amid the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.
The movie star made the announcement on social media on Wednesday, revealing the donation would be in conjunction with his organization Re:wild to aid both immediate needs and long-term recovery after the fires.
The org's Rapid Response Program is specially designed to address environmental disasters and emergencies. The initial aid will support the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, California Fire Foundation, World Central Kitchen, California Community Foundation, Pasadena Humane Society, and SoCal Fire Fund.

The suspicious hiker who gave some bizarre answers to a concerned Topanga resident was questioned and arrested by police ... at least according to the guy who confronted him.

A man had an emotional reunion with his dog Oreo amid the L.A. wildfires -- but the feels didn’t stop there 'cause he also got to hug the firefighter who saved his pup!
Casey Colvin was ecstatic as he sprinted up to Cal Fire Battalion Chief Brent Pascua, pups Oreo, and Tika in tow, telling them, "This guy saved your life!" ... and immediately throwing in a compliment, comparing the firefighter's looks to a Ken Doll.
Colvin was all gratitude in the "NBC Nightly News" segment, telling Pascua when they first met, he was in full-on crisis mode, and if it hadn't been for him, both of his dogs would’ve been goners.

The Eagles are setting the tone for the upcoming benefit concert for Los Angeles wildfire victims with a massive first donation ... pledging over seven figures.
TMZ has learned ... the famous rock band is donating $2.5 million.
It's unclear if the huge donation means the Eagles are among the acts performing later this month at the FireAid benefit concert.

There are thousands of people who have been displaced by the raging L.A. wildfires, but add to that list dogs, cats, ducks, goats, pigs, horses, birds, fish and other creatures that are in desperate straits.

According to the latest updates ... the highest red flag level of high winds and fire conditions, labeled a “Particularly Dangerous Situation,” was declared by the National Weather Service Wednesday.
The Palisades Fire, which has destroyed massive chunks of the famed coastal community, currently stands at 19% containment -- after burning nearly 24,000 acres.
