Dodgers to AC/DC You Can't Trash Our Field ... Like Ya Did Wrigley

For those about to rock Dodger Stadium -- know that the team's not about to let AC/DC headbangers screw up their run at the World Series by tearing up the field during Monday's show.

The Aussie rockers already left their mark on the Cubs' Wrigley Field. Manager Joe Maddon complained his infield got trashed after AC/DC's concert. So, with the band coming to L.A. ... a Dodger rep tells TMZ Sports they're taking no chances.

Instead of copying the Cubs -- who actually removed their turf and laid it down again -- the Blue Crew will leave the field as is. Their solution will be a special tarp placed over the entire playing surface.

We're told it worked like a charm when Sir Paul McCartney played the stadium last year ... so, team officials aren't too worried about AC/DC's fans.

Rock n' roll ain't field pollution.

RECIPE FOR DISASTER

He hasn't played 1 minute for the Clippers yet ... but Paul Pierce has already found a way to DISAPPOINT his new coach -- when he CHOKED on the mound at the Dodgers game.

FYI -- Pierce had the honor of throwing out the 1st pitch at Dodgers Stadium earlier this week ... but failed ... and got showered with boos from the crowd.

So, when we saw Doc Rivers in L.A. yesterday, we showed him the footage for the first time to get his candid reaction -- and it was hilarious.

"On no. That is awful."

Check out the clip ... Rivers does offer a pretty good excuse for Pierce ... and then reveals an embarrassing baseball secret about himself.

Dodgers' Justin Turner Hospitalized For Mega-Pimple

L.A. Dodgers 3rd baseman Justin Turner shoulda oxy-cuted the massive pimple on his leg -- because it got infected ... and things got so bad, he was taken to the EMERGENCY ROOM!!!

It's pretty gross ... Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said Turner noticed something was wrong on his inner thigh on Sunday -- and was given medicine, but it didn't heal.

In fact, things got even worse -- so, he was taken to an emergency room where he was treated for an infection ... stemming from the pimple ... and missed the Dodgers game on Tuesday night.

Justin later said the pimple was an ingrown hair that "blew up" and got infected.

Turner was given a ton of medicine and is now out of the hospital and "day-to-day."

MLB's Eric Karros Dodgers Had Nudity Issue ... With Ballsy Pitcher

Talk about an awkward conversation ... the L.A. Dodgers once "had an issue" with a pitcher who took locker room nudity WAYYYY too far -- and would hit the team snack bar with his dong out ... so says Eric Karros.

It all went down in the '90s ... and judging from the way Karros tells the story, the "issue" was more about being sanitary ... because nobody wants dirty naked parts touching the team Cracker Jacks.

So, who was the naked culprit? Check out the clip ... Karros is naming names.

Dodgers Zack Greinke Ripped Teammates for Poop Habits Wash Your Damn Hands!

L.A. Dodgers superstar Zack Greinke called out a bunch of his crappy teammates in 2013 ... putting the Blue Crew on blast for taking dumps in team facilities ... and NOT washing their hands!

It's all part of a new book by former Dodgers beat writer Molly Knight ... who says the Cy Young winner had been quietly stewing about his teammates bathroom habits ... until one team meeting where he decided to finally speak up.

"I’ve got something to say,” he said. The room was quiet.

Some of you guys have been doing the number two and not washing your hands. It’s not good. I noticed it even happening earlier today. So if you guys could just be better about it, that would be great.

Greinke sat down. The team wasn’t sure if he was serious. When they realized he was, they laughed. Then they took the field, far looser than they had been, and went out and beat the Dbacks. Two days later they clinched the division and jumped in the Dbacks pool."

So, who were the dirty culprits? Gonzalez? Kemp? Puig? Kershaw???

We may never know ... but if you ever meet 'em, might not be a bad idea to Purell afterward.

L.A. Dodgers Team Plane Makes Emergency Landing ... After Padres Game

Scary moment for the Los Angeles Dodgers ... when the team plane made an emergency landing Sunday night because of a mechanical issue.

The team jet had departed from San Diego at 7:15 PM after beating the Padres 4-2, when their aircraft -- United Airlines Flight 2207 -- called in an emergency landing at LAX.

The flight landed safely at 8:16 PM -- with all 176 passengers and crew on board.

An airline spokesperson said the Dodgers players were transferred to another plane so they could get to Dallas -- where they're set to take on the Rangers later today.

IT COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE
TMZSports.com

Minnie Driver's lyrical screwup during the "Star Spangled Banner" at the Dodgers game has clearly not affected her confidence ... telling us, "I did very well. I got a word wrong."

(For the record, she got TWO words wrong, but close enough)

OH SAY DOES THAT ... WHAT?!

Minnie says she was "very bummed" about the mistake ... and chalked the whole thing up to nerves.

Still, Driver says it could have been worse -- saying it was more important for her to stay in tune then to have gotten all of the lyrics right.

She may have a point ... right Carl Lewis?

L.A. Dodgers Tap Lance Bass for LGBT Night

The L.A. Dodgers have announced the team is bringing back LGBT night at Dodger Stadium next month ... with a bunch of huge stars including Lance Bass.

It's the 3rd time the Dodgers are hosting the event -- all set to go down on June 19th when the Dodgers take on the San Francisco Giants.

The team says Lisa Vanderpump will throw out the first pitch.

Openly gay country music singer Ty Herndon will perform the national anthem.

Former Dodgers player Billy Bean -- who came out after his playing days were over -- will also be a part of the event.

The Dodgers say they are also partnering up with GYM Sportsbar -- the first and only gay sports bar in Los Angeles -- in promoting the event.

Yasiel Puig Hits 1st Home Run ... Then Hits the Clubs!

ATHLETES TAKE OVER GREYSTONE
TMZSports.com

Seems the "old" Yasiel Puig is finally coming back ... 'cause after a quiet, slumping, terrible start to the MLB season ... Puig hit his 1st home run of the year yesterday -- and then he hit the clubs!

The 24-year-old star partied at Greystone Manor in West Hollywood late Sunday night ... hours after his 1-5 performance helped the Dodgers defeat the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Puig is in a pretty nasty slump this season -- he's only 3 for 22 with a .136 average ... not ideal for a guy in a $42 million contract.

In the past, Puig's been a staple on the club scene -- and Dodgers owner Magic Johnson has said that he's totally cool with it as long as the team wins.

BTW -- Puig wasn't the only jock at the club last night ... Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. was there ... so was NBA star JaVale McGee.

Larry King I Was At Jackie Robinson's 1st Dodger Game

This is pretty cool ... Larry King was at Ebbets Field on that historic day Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in major league baseball ... and wait'll you hear how much he paid for a ticket to that game!

The 81-year-old news legend was out in L.A. this weekend when we made case for why he should be considered the greatest Dodgers fan of them all ... essentially the Jack Nicholson of the Blue Crew.

And the fact that he still vividly remembers what happened in Brooklyn on April 15, 1947 ... almost 68 years ago -- you'd be hard pressed to find any other fan who bleeds this kinda blue.

Evelyn Lozada Gets Reality Show w/ MLB Fiance ... And Hot Daughter

Evelyn Lozada is getting back into the reality TV game -- starring in a brand new series with her MLB superstar fiance Carl Crawford ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Lozada spent 5 seasons on "Basketball Wives" before taking a hiatus from reality ... but now she's hooked up with Oprah Winfrey's OWN Network as star and exec producer of "Evelyn" (working title).

Sources connected to the show tell us the series will focus on Evelyn's relationship -- and raising their 1-year-old son ... while already being a parent to a smokin' hot 21-year-old daughter, Shaniece.

So far, no word if any of Crawford's L.A. Dodgers teammates are scheduled to appear on the show ... but with attention-loving stars like Yasiel Puig on the Blue Crew ... we wouldn't rule it out.

Tommy Lasorda TURN DOWN FOR WHAT!?

Here's Tommy Lasorda ... bumpin', grindin' and singin' ... to the Lil Jon classic, "Turn Down for What" ... and it's glorious.

Sure, he's 87-years-old ... but it's clear the L.A. Dodgers legend doesn't plan on slowing down any time soon -- remember, this is the guy who hit a burlesque show just a few weeks ago.

No word on what inspired the 1-man dance party ... but who cares -- get it Tommy.

Tommy Lasorda Nods Off at Hot Burlesque Show [Video]

0-0fw4ef44

L.A. Dodgers legend Tommy Lasorda sat front row for a smokin' hot burlesque show at an L.A. blues club Thursday night ... but he wasn't gettin' off ... he was nodding off.

It all went down at Harvelle's Blues Club in Santa Monica ... where a dancer named Miss Dakota set the stage on fire in front of Tommy and several of his friends.

We're told Tommy's wife was not at the club -- but she had nothing to worry about because Lasorda was more interested in talking with his friends and taking the occasional nap than ogling the talent.

Tommy hasn't let his age keep him from hitting the club scene -- the 87-year-old hit up Bootsy Bellows nightclub on the Sunset Strip back in April.

Dodgers Star Adrian Gonzalez Puig Puts Ketchup on Sushi ... For Real!

0-0bfj1uyo

They say you shouldn't knock something 'til you try it ... but this sounds gross -- Yasiel Puig puts KETCHUP on his sushi.

Ketchup. And raw fish. Together.

At least, that's what Puig's L..A Dodgers teammate Adrian Gonzalez told us last night when we asked if anyone on the Blue Crew had any weird superstitions or habits before a game.

But after some brief Internet research, it appears Puig's not alone in his big red habit ... in fact, one food blog praised the combo as a "hidden culinary connection."

So, you gonna try it or what?

Yasiel Puig When In Japan ...

Yasiel Puig has landed in Japan ... and the guy's LOVING IT.

The L.A. Dodgers slugger is part of an MLB All-Star team that's taking on the Japanese national team in a 5-game series ... but when he's not on the field, Puig's been taking in as much culture as he can.

"We visited some temples, that was a very spiritual experience," Puig tells TMZ Sports ... "We took the bullet train from Osaka to Tokyo, very cool."

"I have not been shopping yet, but I will go here in Tokyo."

Puig says he's a HUGE fan of sushi -- and has been scarfing up as much raw fish as he can get his hands on ... saying, "I LOVE IT!"

Puig and his MLB All-Star teammates are reportedly getting $100k each for participating in the series.

Talk about a paid vacation.
