Jamaal Charles Nearly Attacked By Giant Spider ... Intense Capture Mission

8 LEGGED FRIEND

Jamaal Charles was ALMOST attacked by a humongous spider ... but fortunately for the ex-NFL star -- he's still got some moves, and ducked away from the big-ass arachnid as it charged!!!

It all went down in the former Kansas City Chief's backyard ... where he was trying his best to capture an 8-legged beast and protect his Texas home.

The video is pretty intense ... Jamaal tries to calmly sweep the spider into a box -- but then it suddenly darts at his left leg!!!

But, the ex-running back is able to move out of the way ... and then he went on an offensive assault -- slapshotting the spider into a box.

Victorious, Jamaal zooms in on the spider ... and the thing is MASSIVE!!!!

Unclear what Jamaal's intentions are now that the spider is captured ... but we know one thing for sure, his family ain't letting it in the house, 'cause one of them says, "Lock that door. We are not bringing that in here."

Roger Goodell NFL Hasn't Interviewed Tyreek Hill Yet ... Here's Why

WE'RE WORKING ON IT
ESPN

NFL investigators have still NOT spoken directly with Tyreek Hill about his child abuse allegations -- so says Roger Goodell who says the league is trying to stay out the court's way.

The K.C. Chiefs star was suspended from all team activities back in April after disturbing audio surfaced featuring the NFL star arguing with his girlfriend, Crystal Espinal.

During the argument, Espinal accuses Hill of breaking their 3-year-old son's arm and claims the kid is "terrified" of the NFL star ... to which Hill responds, "You need to be terrified of me too, bitch."

Fast forward to Wednesday ... when Goodell faced the media at the NFL Spring Meeting in Florida where he was asked how the league is handling the Hill situation.

"As you know, there's a court proceeding still going on involving CPS [Child Protective Services] and we will not interfere with that," Goodell said.

"The priority is this young child. So we will obviously be cooperative of whatever the court wants there."

Goodell explained, "We are prepared to go ahead and have an interview [Hill] whenever we have the permission to do so. And then we'll make a determination based on what information we have at that point in time.

"And so, again, I won't speculate on where we'll go but we'll certainly get all the information we can as soon as possible."

The Johnson County District Attorney's office is reportedly still considering levying charges on the star receiver ... and the couple is also currently in court fighting like hell to keep custody of the kid.

As for the criminal investigation ... we've reached out to the DA multiple times to find out the status of the probe -- but have received several "no comment" responses in return.

Tony Gonzalez Won't Give G.O.A.T. TE Title To Gronk ... It's A Tie!!!

WE'RE BOTH G.O.A.T.S
TMZSports.com

Tony Gonzalez ain't ready to yield his "greatest of all time"-tight end label to Rob Gronkowski ... telling TMZ Sports his career is just as legendary as the Patriots'!!!

"Hey, we're both great," Gonzalez said at LAX on Monday night ... "We're both the G.O.A.T.s!"

Gronk just officially retired two months ago ... and many have wondered if he did enough in his 9-year career to take the best tight end EVER moniker away from Gonzalez.

The numbers don't seem close at first glance but remember, Gronk only played 9 seasons while Tony played 17.

Gronk -- 521 receptions, 7,861 receiving yards and 79 receiving TDs (plus 3 Super Bowls).

Gonzalez -- 1,325 receptions, 15,127 receiving yards and 111 receiving TDs.

Tony says "there's a great argument" for Gronk to be called the NFL's best ever ... but it sure doesn't seem like he's the one making it!!!

By the way, we also asked Tony about his ex-Chiefs team and how they'll get over all the drama surrounding Tyreek Hill ... and Gonzalez tells us K.C. is going to get through it all just fine.

Dwayne Bowe Chiefs 'Pulling For' Tyreek Hill ... Amid Child Abuse Probe

WE'RE ALL IN THE DARK
TMZSports.com

Tyreek Hill's teammates still have his back and are still pulling for him to rejoin the team ... so says Dwayne Bowe, who tells TMZ Sports he heard that straight from Chiefs players last week.

"When I talk to guys on the team, they're still rooting for him," the ex-Kansas City wideout says ... "They're pulling for him."

As we previously reported ... Hill's been indefinitely banished from the Chiefs until an investigation into child abuse allegations finishes up in Missouri.

Bowe says both he AND current Chiefs players are still in Hill's corner for now ... and claims the only way they're going to change their mind is when all the facts come out about the case.

"It's all he said, she said until the final word is out," Bowe tells us.

In the meantime, Bowe is vouching for Tyreek, saying, "He's a good guy. I've met him. I really don't believe all the things I hear on the internet and in the news."

As for how the whole drama is impacting the current team ... Bowe says he doesn't see it affecting K.C. much -- he tells us the team looked GREAT when he was out at practice last week.

Dwayne Bowe Champ Bailey Was Toughest Defender ... I Faced in NFL

LOCKDOWN D
TMZSports.com

Now that Dwayne Bowe is officially retired ... he's revealing the one defender who gave him the biggest headaches on the field -- Champ Bailey!!!

Bowe -- who led the NFL in receiving TDs back in 2010 -- just signed a 1-day contract to end his career with the Kansas City Chiefs earlier this week ... finishing with more than 7,200 yards and 537 receptions.

Bowe coulda had a few more receptions if it weren't for Bailey, admitting the Hall of Famer is the ONLY guy who was able to hold him to ZERO catches in a game (in his prime) because of his coverage.

When he wasn't defended by the legend, Bowe has a Pro Bowl season in 2010 and earned 2nd team All-Pro honors that same year.

So ... what's next for Bowe??? He's looking to take over the rap game. He's released his first album, "No Referee" earlier this year ... and has a song with Trippie Redd coming out as well!!

"Everybody's been receptive to the music," Bowe says. "This is my first love before I actually played football. A lot of people don't know i was recording myself before I ever touched a football."

Rob Gronkowski Acting Advice ... From Ex-NFL Star Thomas Jones!!!

FULL-TIME COMMITMENT
TMZ.com

Rob Gronkowski will NOT be successful transitioning from the NFL to Hollywood if he doesn't take it seriously ... so says ex-NFL star Thomas Jones -- who says the move is hard as hell!!!

Of course, TJ knows first-hand what it takes to go from on-the-field stud to on-the-screen star ... he spent 12 years in the league before becoming a respected actor.

And, he tells us the only way Gronk is going to have similar success is if he truly devotes himself.

"Just commit yourself to the industry, man," Jones says of his advice to the future Hall of Fame tight end ... "You can't really halfway do this. You have to really, really buy into it."

The reason? Jones says football players have to train themselves to be "inhumane" to be a beast on the field ... but acting requires more vulnerability.

In fact, Jones says he took acting classes for 4 YEARS to get that all down ... saying, "I took the craft seriously."

The good news for Gronk? Jones says the ex-Patriot will be a natural once he decides to put all his energy into it.

"He's got some great relationships. He's got a big personality. I know people will be ready to work with him."

Tyreek Hill Says Fiancee Admitted Hurting Child ... Alleges Text Msg Proof

Tyreek Hill is adamantly denying he's ever abused his 3-year-old son ... and says his fiancee is the one who's gotten physical with the boy in the past -- and he has text messages to prove it.

It's all in a letter reportedly sent to the NFL on Thursday by Hill's attorneys, who say Hill has NEVER "punched" his son and was in no way responsible for the boy's recent broken arm.

As we previously reported ... Hill's fiancee, Crystal Espinal, accused the Chiefs superstar of abusing their son in leaked audio tapes ... but Tyreek strongly denied those allegations.

Now, Hill's attorneys -- per ESPN -- are not only saying Tyreek's never beaten his son ... they're alleging it's actually Espinal who's harmed the child in the past.

Per the letter, Tyreek has text messages from Espinal that read:

Tyreek: "Crystal you know I didn't cause any bruising or harm to [our son]. But for some reason I still may be charged."

Espinal: "I know you didn't. I did. I hurt [our son]. I'm the one that did it. I was hurt and mad at you so I blamed you for everything."

Hill's attorneys in the letter also say the only times Hill has ever put his hands on his son are to either calm him down or to play with him.

The attorneys also say Tyreek's son is by no means "terrified" of the Kansas City superstar ... saying they have eyewitness accounts that "[their child]'s eyes light up when he sees" Tyreek.

The attorneys add that Tyreek is currently going through both family counseling and individual counseling ... and is "looking forward to having the opportunity" to speak with the NFL regarding the allegations.

In the meantime, the Chiefs suspended Hill ... and banned him from taking part in any team activities.

Kareem Hunt Advising Kids 'Not to Make Mistakes I Did' ... Browns Say

Kareem Hunt has been visiting kids at local Cleveland schools ... imploring them to learn from the mistakes he's made, Browns GM John Dorsey says.

The former Chiefs superstar was picked up by the Browns after Kansas City released him following the TMZ Sports video showing the 23-year-old shoving and kicking a female at an Ohio hotel last year.

Now, Dorsey is saying the running back is doing everything possible to show remorse for the incident ... including visiting kids after work to advise them to learn from his issues.

"What people don’t realize is once he’s off the field, he's doing things unannounced," Dorsey said to Bull and Fox on 92.3 The Fan on Tuesday.

"He's actually going out and talking to young kids and working behind the scenes to teach young kids, 'Don’t make the same mistake I made.'"

The Browns have confirmed to The News-Herald that Hunt has visited several high school students from the Elyria and Lorain area -- cities on the outskirts of Cleveland.

Browns reps tell The News-Herald they've been trying to keep his visits low key, because, "Hunt doesn’t want any attention to distract from his message."

For his part, Hunt released a statement after his Browns signing in February saying, "What I did was wrong and inexcusable."

"That is not the man I was raised to be, and I’ve learned a great deal from that experience and certainly should have been more truthful about it after the fact."

SAD SITUATION
SB Nation Radio

Tyrann Mathieu only signed with the Chiefs a few weeks ago -- but he ain't afraid to speak his mind about his new teammate, Tyreek Hill ... saying he's very disappointed after hearing the disturbing audiotapes.

The Honey Badger appeared on SB Nation Radio when the topic turned to Hill ... who was expected to be one of the focal points of the K.C. Chiefs offense in 2019.

But, the Chiefs have suspended the star WR in the wake of audiotapes which recorded Hill arguing with his fiancee, Crystal Espinal, about the child abuse case involving their 3-year-old son.

During the argument, Hill told Espinal, "You need to be terrified of me too, bitch."

So, how does Tyrann feel about the situation?

"I think it's sad, man. Obviously, very disappointing," Mathieu told SB Nation.

"I came to the Chiefs with the hopes that I can watch him play football and watch him run back punts and catch long bombs and outrun everybody."

When asked specifically about the audio -- in which Espinal accuses Hill of breaking their son's arm -- Mathieu says, "It's very disappointing. Not only from a teammate standpoint but I'm a father as well.

Hill has denied breaking his son's arm.

Mathieu says he's only been with the Chiefs for a few weeks and doesn't know Hill that well -- so he can't vouch for Tyreek's character.

But, he adds, "It's very unfortunate, the situation he's in."

NFL's Jamaal Charles Officially Retires ... Future Hall of Famer?!?

Let the Hall of Fame debates officially begin ... Jamaal Charles is calling it an NFL career -- reportedly set to sign a 1-day deal with the Chiefs to retire this week.

The legendary RB told TMZ Sports earlier this month his football future was "up in the air" ... but 610 Sports Radio reported Tuesday he'll ink a ceremonial deal and officially hang up his cleats shortly.

It's not too surprising ... Charles hadn't started a single game since the 2015 season -- and told us earlier this month it was "a possibility" this day could come.

But, now that it's here ... the Hall of Fame process can officially begin.

Remember, Charles just told us he believes he IS worthy of having a bust in Canton ... saying, "I mean, some of my numbers look way better than some people already in Canton."

It caused a ton of debates ... 'cause Charles' numbers -- 7,563 rushing yards and 44 total TDs -- aren't quite the slam dunk totals necessary to get in.

But, is he deserving now that his playing days are over and people can really reflect on his 11-year career??

Enjoy the next 5 years of debating!!

TMZSports.com

The Human Joystick is NOT the greatest return specialist in NFL history ... so says Dante Hall himself -- who tells TMZ Sports there were TWO guys who were better!!

"I give it to Hester," Hall says ... "And, then I give it to Deion after that!"

It's a crazy revelation from the Kansas City Chiefs legend ... 'cause the dude does have a legit claim to the G.O.A.T. kick returner title.

But, Hall was honest with us when we got him out in Nashville this week, telling us Devin Hester and Deion Sanders were better.

"I put myself at 3 ... that's my order."

Dante's admittedly humble -- so you make the call ...

Hall -- 2,261 punt return yards, 10,136 kick return yards, 12 total TDs

Hester -- 3,695 punt return yards, 7,333 kick return yards, 19 total TDs

Sanders -- 2,199 punt return yards, 3,523 kick return yards, 9 total TDs

No matter who ya got at No. 1 ... EVERYBODY can agree on one thing -- Hall's old highlights were nasty!!

Tyreek Hill Criminal Child Abuse Case Reopened ... After Audio Leaks

Tyreek Hill ain't exactly off the hook ... prosecutors have reopened the criminal child abuse case involving the NFL star and his fiancee in the wake of a disturbing audio recording, KCTV reports.

The audio went public Thursday night -- capturing Hill in a heated conversation with his fiancee, Crystal Espinal ... in which you can hear Hill say, "You need to be terrified of me too, bitch."

During the conversation (which took place in March), Espinal repeatedly accuses 25-year-old Hill of breaking their 3-year-old son's arm -- accusations Hill adamantly denies.

Officials had been investigating the situation -- and while prosecutors determined a crime WAS committed against the child, they could not determine who exactly hurt the boy.

As a result, prosecutors announced on Wednesday that no charges had been filed against Hill or Espinal.

Now, KCTV says officials are reopening the case -- which means they will evaluate the new evidence and re-assess if charges should be filed.

Moments ago, K.C. Chiefs coach Andy Reid acknowledged he knew the case had been reopened -- but wouldn't comment further.

The Chiefs announced Thursday night Hill has been suspended from all team activities while the team conducts an investigation.

Tyreek Hill Cops Called To NFL Star's Home ... After Audio Leaks

Cops were called to Tyreek Hill's Kansas home Thursday night -- just hours after disturbing audio recordings went public ... TMZ Sports has learned.

A spokesperson for the Overland Park Police Department confirms two units were sent to the Kansas City Chiefs star's Overland Park, Kansas home around 8:30 PM local time.

The audio tapes purportedly capturing Hill threatening his fiancee during a heated conversation about their child abuse case had gone public just around 2 hours prior to the police call.

A spokesperson wouldn't tell us the specific nature of the call, but suggested it was connected to the release of the audio tapes.

We're told no one was arrested as a result of the call -- including Hill. In fact, it's unclear if Hill was even home at the time police arrived to the house.

Cops were only at the residence for about 20 minutes, and as the police spokesperson put it, "It wasn't that exciting."

As we previously reported ... Hill and his fiancee, Crystal Espinal, have been the subject of a child abuse investigation after officials say their 3-year-old son was injured in a suspicious incident.

So far, prosecutors say they are not pressing charges against the couple.

However, Thursday afternoon, an audio recording from late March went public in which a man believed to be Hill tells his fiancee, "You need to be terrified of me too, b*tch."

Tyreek Hill Chiefs Suspend WR After Disturbing Audio Tapes Surface

slack-imgs-2
THE SHOCKING AUDIO
KCTV5

9:40 PM PT -- The Chiefs announced they have suspended Hill from all team activities.

New audio tapes have surfaced purporting to capture NFL star Tyreek Hill threatening his fiancee over an alleged child abuse incident involving their 3-year-old son -- where you can hear a man say, "You need to be terrified of me too, bitch."

The audio was reportedly recorded by Hill's fiancee, Crystal Espinal, as an "insurance policy" -- and then passed to a friend who gave it to KCTV in Kansas City.

The recording is believed to have been made in early March.

As we previously reported, the Kansas City Chiefs superstar WR and Espinal were the subjects of a child abuse investigation involving their 3-year-old. There are reports the boy suffered a broken arm.

KCTV has now released the audio -- claiming the man you hear on the recording is, in fact, Tyreek Hill.

KCTV also says the tape is now in the possession of the Johnson County District Attorney's Office.

Here's a partial transcript of the recording:

Crystal Espinal: "He is terrified of you. And you say that he respects you, but it's not respect."

Tyreek Hill: "He respects me."

Crystal Espinal: "He is terrified of you."

Tyreek Hill: "You need to be terrified of me, too, bitch. That's why you can't keep a f*cking man."

Crystal Espinal: "He started crying & you were like, 'Shut up, shut up, stop crying, stop crying.'"

Tyreek Hill: "Right."

Crystal Espinal: "And then he kept crying because he was scared. He's terrified. You grabbed onto him somehow or he fell? 1 of the 2."

Tyreek Hill: "I didn't do nothing."

Crystal Espinal: "Then why does he say, 'Daddy did it.'? Why?"

Tyreek Hill: "He says Daddy does a lot of things."

Crystal Espinal: "A 3-year-old is not going to lie about what happened to his arm."

We've reached out to Hill's agent, the Chiefs and the NFL for comment. So far, no word back from anyone.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell just commented about the situation to ESPN's Sam Ponder -- saying:

"Well, you should wait and get the facts. That's the first thing you should do, Sam."

"[Law enforcement doesn't] have any information that they're willing to share with us."

"When you get the facts then you make a decision about how it fits into our personal conduct policy, but you don't rush to judgement and you don't make a decision without having those facts."

The tape surfaced one day after prosecutors announced they had declined to press charges against Hill and Espinal because they could not definitely prove which parent abused the boy.

On the recording, Hill DENIES breaking the boy's arm and accuses Espinal of punishing the child with a belt. She denies that allegation.

25-year-old Hill is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL -- he was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2016, 2017 and 2018.

Patrick Mahomes Lands Madden 20 Cover ... Chiefs Fans Nervous??

Well, more bad news for the Kansas City Chiefs -- Patrick Mahomes was just revealed as the new Madden 20 cover guy ... which means:

CURSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

C'mon, you know this post was coming.

Mahomes was the NFL MVP in 2018 -- posting better numbers than every other QB in the league ... from Tom Brady to Aaron Rodgers. The guy deserves it.

But, you all know what comes with the Madden cover ... The Madden Curse!

The dreaded Madden Curse has seemingly taken out a ton of Pro Bowlers over the years ... from Vince Young to Mike Vick to Rob Gronkowski, Drew Brees, Adrian Peterson and more.

Just ask Garrison Hearst, Daunte Culpepper, Dorsey Levens, Marshall Faulk, Shaun Alexander and Peyton Hillis.

Look, it's possible to escape the wrath ... Tom Brady, Odell Beckham and Ray Lewis didn't suffer anything bad the years they were on the cover.

So, good luck, Patrick ... you're gonna need it!

Tyreek Hill 'My Son's Health Is My #1 Priority'

Tyreek Hill has finally broken his silence on the child abuse investigation involving his son -- saying, "My son’s health and happiness is my #1 priority."

Hills' statement comes one day after prosecutors in Johnson County, Kansas announced they would NOT be pressing charges against the NFL star.

Officials said they DO believe someone hurt the kid -- but prosecutors said they were unable to "conclusively establish who committed the crime against [the] child."

Tyreek Hill Prosecutors To Hold Press Conference
NOT PRESSING CHARGES
WDAF-TV Fox 4

Translation -- there isn't enough evidence to prove Hill injured his son.

Now, the Kansas City Chiefs star WR issued a statement ... saying, "I love and support my family above anything. My son’s health and happiness is my #1 priority."

"I want to thank the Kansas City Chiefs, my attorneys, my agent and my union for supporting me through this."

"My focus remains on working hard to be the best person for my family and our community I can be, and the best player to help our team win.”

The child had reportedly been temporarily removed from Hill's custody.

Prosecutors say the child is currently safe -- but there is a child protection investigation ongoing.
