A man was mauled to death by his own pit bulls in L.A. County ... and the bloody aftermath was captured by news choppers, as officials found his body in a backyard kennel.

This horrific incident went down Thursday night in Compton -- although, this poor man wasn't discovered until Friday ... and at that point, he was dead. As you can see in the images above -- which have been circulating on social media -- the scene is downright gruesome.

Unclear what exactly led up to the mauling, but the guy's reported to have been in the business of breeding/selling pitties ... and he had at least 5 grown ones in his backyard. Cops say they believe he might have been trying to feed the animals when they turned on him.

Helicopters surveying the scene early Friday appear to have captured images of his body in one of the enclosures on his property -- but later in the day, first responders arrived to contain the situation ... apprehending the dogs themselves.

The drama wasn't over by then, though ... even after the authorities had arrived, a woman had somehow found her way into the yard and needed help escaping from the dogs.

Eventually, firefighters were able to rescue her and get the pits under control. No word on what will happen to the dogs -- they're now in the possession of Animal Control.

The director of LA County's Animal Control department says, "Our deepest sympathies are extended to the family and friends of the victim. We are committed to conducting a thorough investigation to determine the facts and ensure the safety and well-being of both the community and the animals involved."

Two out of nine seriously injured firefighters remain in critical condition in the hospital -- this after a compressed natural gas tank on a burning truck exploded Thursday.

You gotta see this wild video ... dramatic dash cam footage from Wilmington, CA shows the exact moment the fiery blast ignites and sends a fireball up into the air. You can practically feel the intensity just watching it!

As you can see, the explosion launches at least one firefighter into the air among various other car parts. You can also see the ground shaking like crazy when the blast goes off in another angle.

Here's what happened to lead to the actual explosion itself ... it was around 7 AM when firefighters responded to a call about a burning truck on the road -- when, suddenly, one of two 100-gallon compressed natural gas tanks on the truck blew up minutes later.

Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Kristin Crowley has revealed one of the critically injured firefighters is stable ... but is still being monitored at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.

The update on the second critically injured firefighter isn't as promising ... he was intubated and transferred to L.A. General Medical Center to be treated at their burn unit.

The other seven firefighters aren't out of the woods just yet either ... according to LAFD Capt. Erik Scott, they're still going to need ongoing treatment for a laundry list of injuries – burns, blunt trauma, shrapnel wounds, and even damage to their hearing.

A car rammed into an emergency room in Austin, TX, this week -- and the video of the immediate aftermath is absolutely horrifying.

This accident happened on Tuesday night at St. David's North Austin Medical Center -- where a vehicle literally rammed into the entrance of the ER there ... which ended up injuring a handful of people, including some kids.

The footage you see here starts just moments after the car came flying through the front of the building ... and as you can hear, the tires were still screeching -- suggesting someone had their foot on the gas pedal even after the impact.

People were scrambling in the chaos ... and some even had to be lifted and carried away as nurses and doctors poured out trying to make sense of what had happened.

At this point, it's unclear what exactly caused this, but what we do know for sure is that the driver died ... this after requiring CPR on the scene.

Cops noted the crash did not appear to be intentional, which some thought might've been the case ... there were immediate concerns it was some sort of terror attack. Luckily, this wasn't that.

Thankfully, no one in the hospital was killed, but there were serious injuries. Five victims were taken to other hospitals for treatment ...and one of them is a child listed in critical condition.

Travis Kelce was FUMING on the sideline after the Chiefs fumbled the ball in the red zone, bumping Andy Reid and screaming in his face ... nearly knocking the coach on his ass!

The incident went down during the 2nd quarter of the Super Bowl after K.C. star RB Isiah Pacheco turned the ball over deep in Niners territory ... a play Kelce watched from the sideline.

The NFL superstar was none too pleased -- and expressed his frustration, yelling inches away from his coach's face -- as girlfriend Taylor Swift watched from her suite.

Trav also slammed his helmet.

Of course, Kelce and Reid go way back to 2013, when both men joined the organization. Both guys are future Hall of Famers.

It's not the first time Kelce has lost it on the sideline. Remember back to the Christmas Day game vs. the Raiders when Travis blew his top on the sideline.

Through a quarter and a half, the game has been incredibly tense ... with star players on both teams making mistakes.

The 49ers, however, lead 10-0 ... after Christian McCaffrey scored a touchdown late in the 1st half.

Kelce has been relatively quiet (besides all the screaming), catching just one ball for one yard. We'll see if the sideline incident gets him going.

Local news outlets are reporting shooting began around 2 PM local time, just as a Spanish-language service was starting -- with the Sherriff's department quickly responding.

A clip, posted to X, shows a man seemingly beginning a sermon when several loud pops go off. People can be seen scrambling down escalators in the background, and the broadcast cuts to a screen of the Lakewood logo.

Eyewitnesses told local outlets there was panic and confusion among churchgoers as they quickly tried to exit the premises.

Deputies reportedly engaged with a possible suspect -- exchanging gunfire inside the church. A local sheriff tweeted out a suspect has been shot, though it's unclear how many alleged suspects were involved.

John Osteen -- Joel's father' opened Lakewood Church in the late 1950s, and it's grown into one of the largest megachurches in the United States -- Joel took over the church following his dad's passing in 1999.

Imagine skiing one of the most serene and gorgeous slopes in America ... and seconds later YOU'RE LITERALLY BEING CHASED BY A MASSIVE MOOSE, so close it could nearly nip the back of your boots!

That's exactly what happened to a skier named Kenny Rynearson in Jackson Hole, Wyoming recently ... and the wild encounter was captured on video.

The clip shows a moose in a full sprint down the mountain ... as Kenny did his best to evade the big beast (there may have been a few "oh s***" screams).

Rynearson eventually created some distance before assisting a fellow skier, yelling, "go faster!" as the animal continued to give chase.

Thankfully, it doesn't appear anyone was injured ... but this could've potentially been ugly.

Moose are huge ... they can grow to nearly 7 feet tall (standing on all fours), and weigh 1,600 pounds. The animal in question doesn't appear that big ... but it'd be a bad day if it caught you.

And, they can move, too ... running up to 35 MPH for short distances. For reference, Usain Bolt, at his fastest, went almost 28 MPH. Thankfully Kenny had skis on, and not running shoes.

A cross-country road trip nearly turned fatal for one driver ... when he stopped to fill up, an out-of-control pickup truck crashed through a gas station pump ... feet away from his car.

Ya gotta see the video ... dash cam footage shows a car pulling into a gas station when suddenly a pickup comes barreling through, running over a gas pump and igniting a fiery explosion.

The pickup keeps on trucking as it plows over the gas pump ... knocking down the gas station canopy, which comes crashing down in front of the driver as he slams on the brakes.

"Oh my f******, God!!!" screams the driver as the crash unfolds in front of him at a Speedway gas station in La Plata, New Mexico.

The guy who took the dash cam video says the incident happened Feb. 4 on his cross-country road trip from Seattle to Mississippi.

He says he reported the incident to the local Sheriff and gave police the video for documentation.

As for the reason behind the crash, the guy says cops told him the pickup truck driver was having a seizure.

Él dice que informó del incidente al Sheriff local y le dio a la policía el video para la documentación.

Un esquiador de Utah tiene suerte de estar vivo después de que fuera arrastrado por una rápida avalancha en movimiento, ¡y la terrible experiencia fue capturada en video!

Según el Centro de Avalanchas de Utah (UAC), el aterrador incidente ocurrió el domingo, cuando tres esquiadores se lanzaron a las pistas, a pesar de las advertencias de las peligrosas condiciones cerca de Davis Gulch, alrededor de Gobblers Knob.

A driver who went over the edge of a pier on the East Coast seemed determined to end his/her life, and perhaps anyone else's who was in the way ... evidenced in this video here.

TMZ has obtained footage from Saturday morning that shows the moment an unidentified vehicle barrels through the opening of the Virginia Beach Fishing Pier -- where it was driving at a high rate of speed and with what appears to be intent to keep going toward the end.

As has been reported by local media outlets, that's exactly what ended up happening -- this driver crashed their car through the far-side of the pier and went straight into the water.

But check out this new video we have now ... you can see the car almost hit somebody who was walking along the entrance to the pier at about 6:49 AM ET, and they look shocked.

Of course, the car kept going -- and video of the moment that it ended up plunging over the ledge has been circulating online. It's strange -- you see the car somewhat jerk its way along before finally crashing through and falling into the ocean below -- with no word on the condition of whoever was inside. The car sank to the bottom, and rescue/recovery efforts have been futile ... at this point, the driver and any other occupants are presumed dead.

We also obtained footage of the immediate aftermath of this tragedy -- and the damage this car caused is quite clear ... with police caution tape spread out all along the pier, and cops standing by as first-responders attempted to pull the car itself out from depths of the sea.

On Sunday, there was a full-blown effort to retrieve the vehicle with heavy-duty equipment -- but weather conditions delayed the undertaking ... and there's no official word on when they'll try again. Few details about the driver or their motive are known for the time being.

Chilling new video of the Bahamas shark attack shows the terrifying moments after the boy nearly got his leg chomped off as the water in the tank turned a misty blood red.

TMZ has obtained shocking footage capturing the seconds after the 10-year-old boy -- who was the victim in this case -- frantically swam to the top of the tank as his father, who heroically jumped into the water, helped him over to a ladder. It's as dramatic as can be.

Eyewitnesses tell TMZ ... the dad carried the boy up the ladder onto a landing before rushing off with his son to get him medical attention, which can be seen in one of the photos. We're told the boy's mom and Atlantis Resort staff assisted the father in his efforts.

According to one source ... the boy climbed down into the tank with a chaperone on January 15 as part of the shark experience for guests at the Atlantis Bahamas Resort.

Wearing a large white helmet and heavy oxygen tank, the boy stood with the chaperone on the floor of the tank as the sharks whipped past them. Two of the reef sharks were aggressively swimming around the boy -- and one of them darted through his legs.

This caused the boy to lose his footing and straddle the shark, which turned its head around and sank its sharp teeth into one of his legs near the calf area. That caused him to bleed.

The boy's mom freaked out, screaming, "Did that just bite him?" She then realized, "Oh my gosh, that's my son." The mom, along with the boy's father, sprung into action to assist.

The Royal Bahamas Police Force said the boy -- on vacation from Maryland -- got bit on the right leg and was taken to the hospital ... thankfully, he was in stable condition, and Atlantis shut down their tanks immediately.

Remember, we got a hold of footage and photos that showed what this same shark tank looked like just a couple days prior to this incident -- and while it might've looked a bit crowded in there (with more sharks than humans), we were assured that's standard.

This attraction at the resort has since been shut down ... as they reevaluate their procedures for their guests moving forward.
