Las Vegas Shooting Hotel Guard Opens Up About Finding Shooter
Jesus Campos, the Mandalay Bay security guard who alerted police to the Las Vegas shooter, is speaking out for the first time about the violent encounter that left him with gunshot wounds.
Jesus opened up to Ellen DeGeneres ... detailing the harrowing moments leading up to him discovering Stephen Paddock on the 32nd floor, just as he was starting to open fire on the crowd of concertgoers below.
He thinks a loud slamming door during his routine check of the floor is what tipped off his location to Paddock, who then started shooting into the hallway -- and hit Campos in the leg.
Miraculously, Campos says he was still able to somehow get on his radio and tell his team shots had been fired. You can hear his full story on Wednesday's episode of 'Ellen.'

Dan Bilzerian Searched Vegas Police Truck While Under Fierce Gunfire
This incredibly intense video shows Dan Bilzerian frantically searching inside a police truck Sunday night as terrified concertgoers ducked for cover from the hail of bullets.
Dan -- the gun enthusiast getting roasted on social media for running away from the massacre -- is seen in this video running with a panicked group and hiding behind an unmanned Las Vegas Metro PD truck ... in the shadow of Mandalay Bay.
The video's intense -- some people are covered in blood, while others angrily debate whether to remain hiding there or make a run for it. Dan seemed adamant about taking matters into his own hands ... as he rummaged through the police unit, clearly looking for a firearm.
It's unclear if the vid was recorded before or after Bilzerian begged a cop for a gun.

Stephen Paddock Booked Hotel Overlooking Lollapalooza 2 Months Before Massacre
Stephen Paddock had his sights set on Lollapalooza in Chicago and even booked 2 rooms in a hotel that overlooked the massive outdoor venue ... TMZ has learned.
Check out this pic of a computer screen at the Blackstone Hotel in Chicago, located across the street from the venue, Grant Park, where 400,000 people -- including Malia Obama -- squeezed in over 4 days to watch big musical acts.
Paddock booked one room for August 1, 2017, 2 days before the August 3 kickoff. Paddock then booked a second room for an August 3 arrival. Both rooms had an August 6 checkout ... that's when Lollapalooza ended.
The hotel directly overlooked the main stage as well as several adjoining stages. It also overlooks the main entrance and exit where thousands of people file through. And the hotel had a bird's-eye view of the crowd. We're told Paddock specifically requested both rooms be a "view room" which only face Grant Park, where the concert was being held. And here's the scariest part ... it's difficult if not impossible to flee because of Lake Michigan. Sources tell TMZ Paddock had never booked a room at the hotel before, nor had his girlfriend.
Our sources say Paddock never showed.
If his plan was to wreak havoc on Lollapalooza the way he did 2 months later in Vegas, it shows the murderous plot was long-standing.

Stephen Paddock's girlfriend -- a person of interest in the Vegas slaughter -- returned to the U.S. Tuesday night for what will almost certainly be days of questioning.
Marilou Danley flew from the Philippines to LAX where she was met by authorities. MSNBC got these images of Danley being escorted out of the Bradley International Terminal in a wheelchair.
Authorities want to know what she knew about Paddock's elaborate plan to spray the country music festival with bullets. Law enforcement will also grill her over the $100,000 Paddock reportedly transferred to the Philippines days before the shooting.

Mass Murderer Stephen Paddock Brother Off the Rails In Bizarre Interview
The brother of mass murderer Stephen Paddock lost it Tuesday during a bizarre, rambling interview.
Eric Paddock spoke with CBS News and broke down, unable to talk for a time, before his thoughts about his brother meandered.
He says his family is torn apart over the deeds of his brother, and this isn't the Stephen they knew.
Eric says his brother transferred $100k to the Philippines for legit reasons ... to care for his girlfriend. Authorities say she's still a person of interest, but Eric thinks his brother manipulated her to leave the country so she wasn't around when he fired into the Vegas crowd.
Eric also says his brother was rich and generous with his money, sometimes spending thousands of dollars on sushi for friends and relatives.
He then went into a rant about his mom. It's all over the place.

Wayne Newton on Vegas Show Must Go On After Shooting Massacre
Wayne Newton doesn't think the shooting massacre in Las Vegas will dim the lights in venues along the strip ... but he says Sin City's performers gotta do what they do and power through the grief.
Wayne -- a Vegas staple in live entertainment -- came on "TMZ Live" Tuesday to dish on whether Vegas would have a hard time coming back to full form after Stephen Paddock gunned down 59 people and injured hundreds more from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel.
The Midnight Idol doesn't seem too worried about that, 'cause he says Vegas is still one of the safest places around despite the massacre. But he's putting the local showstoppers on notice here too.
Basically ... places, everyone.

Las Vegas Shooter Tricked Out Rifle w/ Deadly Modification
The Las Vegas shooter apparently turned one of his rifles into a fully automatic weapon with an inexpensive modification that can easily be bought online.
It appears Stephen Paddock -- the man who brutally murdered 59 people and injured over 500 -- attached what's called a slide fire stock or bump stock to one of his 23 guns before spraying hundreds, if not thousands, of bullets into a crowd of concertgoers from his 32nd floor Mandalay Bay hotel room.
The stock allows the shooter to hold the trigger once and fire in rapid fashion at hundreds of rounds per minute, essentially making it a fully automatic rifle or something extremely close to it.
Automatic weapons are nearly impossible to obtain but a stock runs about $160 online, and it's legal.
It appears Paddock also had a SureFire 100 magazine hooked on the rifle with the stock. The 64-year-old reportedly had multiple high-capacity magazines loaded.
Sunday's shooting is the deadliest in modern U.S. history.

Vegas Shooter Bought Firearms ... From Guns & Guitars
The guy behind the Vegas massacre bought some of his weapons at a gun store right near his Nevada home ... a place that touts itself as the best spot in town to buy firearms ... and guitars.
Stephen Paddock loaded up at the Guns & Guitars store in Mesquite, NV -- where you can buy a semi-automatic rifle on a Monday ... and come back for a guitar session every other Tuesday.
Seriously ... the place is currently running a student guitar special, $99 for a guitar with a strap and 4 picks ... while offering a free box of ammo with the purchase of a handgun.
Want to combine the best of guns and guitars? They also sell an M-16 Machine Gun Guitar for $225.
So far, no word on which guns Paddock bought from G&G -- but store officials confirmed he was a customer ... on the gun side of the store.
The store issued a statement saying, "All necessary background checks and procedures were followed" when Paddock bought guns from them.
"He never gave any indication or reason to believe he was unstable or unfit at any time."

O.J. Simpson Home Cooking? Daughter Stocking Up
O.J. Simpson could be eating home cooked meals again -- if his daughter's grocery store run in Vegas is any indication.

It's unclear if he's staying with her, but it would make sense for them to break bread. Simpson told the Nevada Parole officials he planned to stay in the area for now.
As for what's on the menu? Can't imagine he's picky after 9 years of prison grub, but looks like he'll have some cantaloupe on the side

D.L. Hughley Americans More Dangerous Than Guns & ISIS
The most dangerous thing to Americans isn't guns or ISIS ... it's your fellow Americans, according to D.L. Hughley.
We got D.L. Monday morning following the Las Vegas massacre which killed at least 58 concertgoers and injured more than 500.
D.L. points out there were no laws stopping the gunman, Stephen Paddock, from pulling off the deadliest mass shooting of all time. As he puts it ... it's easier to get assault weapons in America than it is Sudafed.
Like a lot of people today, D.L.'s clearly pissed off -- and wondering what it will take to change things.

Stephen Paddock Brother Says ... He was a Typical Vegas Guy
Stephen Paddock's brother Eric Paddock seemed dumbfounded by the monstrous actions of his sibling.
Eric just appeared on CBS News and said his brother was not an avid gun collector. He had no idea where Stephen Paddock got automatic weapons ... no idea at all.
Eric was in the dark, because cops have already searched Stephen Paddock's home and it appears they found a cache of weapons and ammo. The recently-built house was well kept in the upscale retirement community.
Eric painted his brother as a normal guy living in Nevada ... eating burritos and gambling.
He was also relieved his brother didn't harm his girlfriend. He actually seems unsure whether she was his girlfriend or whether they were secretly married.
“Not an avid gun guy at all...where the hell did he get automatic weapons? He has no military background,” gunman’s brother says pic.twitter.com/EMSKLQGYFM
