The businessman and musician were spotted getting into the same car Sunday ... though it's unclear what they were up to.

As you know ... Ben and Jen turned heads when the former wrapped his arms around his own ex-wife's waist while they were paintballing at their youngest, Samuel's, 13th birthday party.

David Hasselhoff's ex-wife, Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff, has died by suicide ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... family members had not heard from her and wanted to check on her out of concern, so they went to her house, which was locked -- where they discovered her.

Paramedics were called to Pamela's house on a report of an unconscious female shortly after 10 PM Wednesday. Pamela was pronounced dead at the scene with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. There was no note, we're told.
