As we know, Pete's famous for his love of tattoos and is heavily inked ... but it looks like he’s turning over a new leaf and trying to ditch some of that ink -- particularly on his arms, where only faded remnants seem to remain.

Former Super Bowl champion Derrick Ward will not spend time in prison over allegations he robbed L.A.-area businesses ... TMZ Sports has learned he's been placed on mental health diversion instead.

Court records show a judge ordered Ward to enroll in the program at a hearing back on Oct. 10.

Ward, according to court documents, will now have to comply with any mental health treatment recommendations from "Find Your Balance Center" and "Brain Health USA Center" for a period of two years.

Harvey Weinstein's medical issues are getting even worse because he’s now been diagnosed with leukemia, TMZ has confirmed.

The disgraced Hollywood film producer has chronic myeloid leukemia, which is a type of cancer that starts in the blood-forming cells of the bone marrow, according to the American Cancer Society.

Weinstein's rep, Juda Engelmayer, and his attorney, Arthur Aidala, declined to talk about the new diagnosis, but they issued a joint statement ... "Craig Rothfeld, Mr. Weinstein’s authorized legal healthcare representative in New York State, expresses profound dismay at the speculation surrounding Mr. Weinstein’s medical condition."

Philadelphia 76ers rookie Jared McCain was taken to the hospital after a scary fall during Wednesday night's game ... where the first-round draft pick smacked his head on the hardwood.

The alarming moment occurred during the fourth quarter of the Nets-Sixers game at the Wells Fargo Center ... when McCain, attempting to rebound his own miss, was contacted, causing him to fall backward and slam his head on the court.

The thud could be heard on TV ... and there was immediate concern for the 20-year-old hooper, who lay on the floor, visibly injured.
