Brett Favre On Packers QB Drama & Jordan Love Don't Press Panic Button Yet!!!
Brett Favre isn't freaking out about the GB Packers QB situation just yet -- telling everyone why they should hold off on pressing the "panic button" ... at least for now!
Favre's speaking his mind on everything from Aaron Rodgers missing mandatory mini-camp to how the coaching staff should prepare the offense with Jordan Love at the helm.
"It's not the first time someone's missed a mini-camp or an OTA," Brett said on "Bolling with Favre" on PodcastOne.
Favre says he has no idea how the Rodgers situation will play out -- but implores the Packers to start preparing as if Love will be the guy.
What that means is the coaches need to figure out a Plan B offense custom fit for Jordan Love -- and they need to figure it out fast.
"Now, you're really kinda studying what Jordan does best, what he does similar to Aaron, how that relates to how I call the game in the future," Favre said.

"Do I do certain formations and plays that Aaron ran well because Jordan seems to run these well, or is he a totally different quarterback?"
"That's a question that they gotta answer and answer very quickly."
As for that "panic button" -- Brett says hold off on pushing it until they know whether or not Aaron will report to training camp this month.

The storylines are endless -- will Tom finally break out his driver? Will DeChambeau hit a 400-yard tee shot? How much smack will Phil talk?
And, of course, will Rodgers -- who famously lost to Brady in the NFC Championship Game last January -- still be a Green Bay Packer by tee time?!?!
If you're unfamiliar, The Match has been going on for the past few years ... with athletes and pro golfers teaming up to provide amazing TV all while benefitting charities.
The past couple rounds have been great watches ... especially in 2020, when Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning beat Brady and Mickelson.
In that round, Brady refused to take out a driver off the tee ... but Mickelson is already vowing to change all of that and bring home the W this summer.
"Tom and I have some unfinished business," Mickelson said Wednesday. "Unfortunately it will be at Bryson and Aaron’s expense."
Even Tom's already talking trash, firing away at Rodgers on Twitter ... "[DeChambeau] better get used to laying up because we know @AaronRodgers12 isn’t going for it."
Sick burn ... we're sure somewhere in Hawaii, A-Rodge just spit up his pina colada!!

Emotional moment after the Packers' workouts Tuesday ... star RB Aaron Jones was asked how he's doing in the wake of his father's death, and he couldn't help but tear up talking about it all.
Jones' dad tragically passed away at 57-years-old from COVID-19 complications in early April ... and the Green Bay tailback took it very hard.
He and his father, Alvin Jones Sr., were super close ... and Aaron told media members Tuesday he owes his entire football career to the man.
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
In fact, Aaron said every time he plays a snap in the NFL for the rest of his life -- it's now getting dedicated to Alvin Sr.
"The rest of my career will be dedicated to my father," the 26-year-old said. "I mean, he's the reason I started playing football. He's what kept me going so many times when, as a kid, you want to give up, he's what kept me going."
"So, like I said, I'm going to dedicate the rest of my career to him."
Aaron was asked several more questions about his father and how his Packers teammates were helping him get through the tough time ... and that's when tears started flowing from his eyes.
"I have a locker room full of brothers here who are making sure I'm OK," Aaron said. "So, some nights I'm there with them on their couch and different things like that."
"So, that's what this game is all about. Having your brothers around you."
Aaron went on to thank the entire Packers org. for helping with the situation ... adding, "I'm thankful for all those guys in the locker room to the upstairs management who've made sure that I'm OK and continue to check on me."

Aaron Rodgers Jordan Love Not Root Of Packers Drama ... 'I Love Jordan'

The QB room in Green Bay just got a whole lot less awkward ... Aaron Rodgers finally broke his silence on his beef with the Pack -- and he insisted Jordan Love is NOT the problem.
The reigning NFL MVP joined Kenny Mayne for the legendary anchor's final SportsCenter on Monday ... and revealed his issues with his team do not stem from them drafting Love last year.
Aaron Rodgers spoke with @Kenny_Mayne about where he stands with the Packers: pic.twitter.com/VeSBspFVLL
— ESPN (@espn) May 25, 2021 @espn
"With my situation, look, it's never been about the draft pick, them picking Jordan," Rodgers said. "I love Jordan. He's a great kid. Lot of fun to work together."
Many assumed it was the exact opposite ... 'cause after Green Bay took Love in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft instead of a receiver, Rodgers had seemed blindsided.
But, Aaron went on to say during his interview with Mayne that he's more upset with the way he believes the Packers have changed their "philosophy."
"I love the coaching staff, love my teammates, love the fan base in Green Bay -- it's been an incredible, incredible 16 years," Rodgers said. "It's just kind of about a philosophy."
"And, you know, and maybe forgetting that it is about the people that make the thing go. It's about character. It's about culture. It's about doing things the right way."
In other words, it's clear Rodgers is upset his team wouldn't commit to him with a fresh, new contract after his monster 2020 season.
"The wrench was just kind of thrown into it when I won MVP and played the way I played last year," Rodgers said. "So, this is just kind of the, I think, the spill out of all that."
So, where do they go from here? Rodgers -- who partied in Hawaii over the weekend instead of prepping for Packers organized team activities this week -- sure seemed like a guy who was pretty dug in on the ride being over in Green Bay.
As for the Packers, they've insisted they're going to do everything they can to keep their QB under center for the foreseeable future.

Packers Coach Matt LaFleur Pleads For End To Rodgers Drama ... 'We Want Him Back In The Worst Way'
Matt LaFleur clearly wants no part of coaching an Aaron Rodgers-less Packers team ... he told reporters Friday he wants the QB back in "the worst way."
The Green Bay head coach said there's been no movement in the drama with the team's star -- it seems Rodgers still wants out and the Packers still want him back -- but it's obvious, LaFleur is pleading for all that to change ASAP.
"I've got nothing new to update," LaFleur said of the situation. "We still obviously feel the same way, we want him back in the worst way."
He continued, "I know he knows that. We'll continue to work at it each and every day."
Rodgers has been upset with his contract situation AND some of the personnel moves that the Packers have made recently ... and he's reportedly told teammates he's done in Wisconsin.
The Packers say they have denied any and all trade offers for the 37-year-old, though ... and insist they're going to do everything they can to make the signal-caller happy.
LaFleur said he was not sure if Rodgers would be in attendance for Organized Team Activities later this month ... explaining, "I'm not going to make any assumptions about anything at this point."
Translation ... please come back soon, Aaron. Please.

"The whole stadium is not nice. There's nothing fancy about it. It's bleacher seats!"
That's Vikings star Adam Thielen taking a verbal dump all over Lambeau Field ... and, yeah, Packers fans ain't exactly loving it.
The Minnesota wide receiver threw the jabs on GOLF's Subpar podcast earlier this month ... straight-up saying Green Bay's famous stadium is just not as nice as the Vikings'.
Of course, the comments have been polarizing ... with even Cleveland Browns legend Joe Thomas racing in to defend the facilities.
"Lambeau field is the coolest stadium to play at in pro football," the former O-lineman said.
But, Thielen is admittedly biased ... he's a longtime Viking who's been trained to hate the Pack -- and he even said Lambeau is actually his favorite place to play because a win there is just so sweet.
"There's nothing better than leaving Lambeau with a victory," the 30-year-old said. "There's literally nothing better."
Thielen continued, "On the reverse side, there's nothing worse than losing there."
Thielen and his Vikings team will make their return to Lambeau at some point next season ... 'bout time to get the popcorn ready.

Mike Holmgren Blames Packers For Rodgers Drama ... I Would've Handled It Better
-
Breaking News
- 8.2K shares
Legendary NFL coach Mike Holmgren says the Aaron Rodgers drama in Green Bay is all the Packers' fault ... and he says if he were running the show there, it would've never gotten to this point.
The 72-year-old -- who coached the Pack from 1992-1998 -- broke it all down on the "Carmen and Jurko" show on ESPN Chicago ... saying straight-up the Packers blew their marriage with the QB.
"I can't imagine a relationship between the coach, or management, or whoever is making the decisions and a star quarterback like that getting to this point," Holmgren says.
"I just can't imagine it. I wouldn't allow it. It wouldn't happen."
Holmgren says the team should have looped in Rodgers before it drafted Jordan Love in 2020 ... adding Green Bay should've done everything in its power to keep the future Hall of Famer happy.
"With a franchise quarterback and a guy as good as Aaron -- you don't treat all the players the same," Holmgren said. "You have a line that no one crosses, but I would call him in and say, 'Look, we're going to do this. This is how it's going to affect you.'"
"'We've got to get ready for when you retire. We've got to kind of think of the franchise. But, nothing's going to happen now. You're the man. You're the guy.'"
Holmgren says he believes that would have resolved issues ... and even if it didn't, he says he would've found other ways to fix it.
Of course, Mike acknowledges back in his day he never really had to have conversations like these -- saying when he was with San Francisco, they never told Joe Montana about bringing in Steve Young.
Holmgren, though, explained, "It's a different world now. It's a different world."
For their part, the Packers say they're confident the issues with Rodgers will be fixed in time for the 2021 season ... with GM Brian Gutekunst saying just days ago, "I do think he'll play for us again."

Aaron Rodgers WILL sit out the entire 2021 season if the Packers don't make him happy ... so says Brett Favre, who made it clear his former teammate ain't bluffing about a holdout.
The Hall of Famer explained his thoughts on the Green Bay drama during his "Bolling With Favre" podcast this week ... saying the Packers better fix the issues with their QB -- or else.
"Knowing Aaron, and I think I know him fairly well, if he has a grudge, whether it be against the organization or a player or an arch rival or family, friends -- he ain't budging," Favre said.
"Whatever the issue is, if it's not resolved -- or even if it's resolved but he feels like they got one up on him -- he ain't going to play," Favre continued. "Knowing Aaron, he would sit."
Rodgers currently has a multitude of problems with the Packers org. ... most notably, he's reportedly in a pretty nasty spat over his current contract situation.
But, the QB is also upset over several personnel moves the team has made recently -- including when they picked quarterback Jordan Love in the 1st round of the 2020 NFL Draft instead of a top wideout.
Favre says he's not sure exactly what Rodgers' biggest gripe is with the team ... but he's warning his former squad to fix things ASAP.
"He would forgo a lot of money [by sitting out]," Favre says, "but he's also got a lot of money."
For their part, the Packers have said they're trying to make their superstar happy ... with the team's GM, Brian Gutekunst, saying last week Green Bay is in the process of working things out with the quarterback.

"With him being that upset shows me just how weak he is."
Terry Bradshaw is straight-up PISSED over the way Aaron Rodgers is handling his beef with the Packers ... and the Hall of Famer is growing so tired of seeing it, he's now urging the NFL MVP to just retire.
Bradshaw dropped the passionate criticism while appearing on WFAN's "Moose & Maggie" this week ... repeatedly calling Rodgers "weak" for beefing with the Pack.

Do you agree?
pic.twitter.com/vT52pRnpT8
"For him to be upset, my God, I don’t understand that," Bradshaw says.
"Who the hell cares who you draft?" Terry added. "He's a three-time MVP in the league and he’s worried about this guy they drafted last year [Jordan Love]?!"
Bradshaw says if he were running the Packers, he would NOT give into Rodgers' trade demands ... and would simply just let the quarterback walk if he's truly that upset.
"Here’s what I would do: I wouldn’t budge," Bradshaw said of how he'd handle running the Packers through this drama.
"Let him gripe. Let him cry. Retire. You are [37]. Go ahead and retire. See you later. I’m really strong about stuff like that. It just makes him look weak."
Bradshaw continued, "Probably he should just retire and go do 'Jeopardy!' That's the way I look at it. But, I wouldn't budge. I'm strong about stuff like that. I wouldn't budge a bit."
Bradshaw says back when he was with the Steelers ... he embraced when his team would draft other QBs to try to replace him -- explaining, "I wasn’t worried about those guys."
"They didn’t scare me a bit. So, I don’t understand why he is so upset at Green Bay.”
For his part, Rodgers has reportedly been mad at the Packers for months ... upset over his contract and some of the team's personnel decisions -- including when GB picked Love in the 1st round of the 2020 NFL Draft instead of selecting a top wide receiver.
Packers brass has said repeatedly it will not trade the disgruntled star ... with GM Brian Gutekunst saying last week, "I do think he'll play for us again."

Aaron Rodgers Packers GM Says QB Won't Be Traded ... 'I Do Think He'll Play For Us Again'
-

Like it or not, it seems Aaron Rodgers will HAVE to play for the Packers this season ... 'cause the team's GM said Thursday night Green Bay has zero plans to trade the QB.
Brian Gutekunst, who took over GM duties for the Pack back in 2018, acknowledged there is a bit of a rift with their star signal-caller at the moment ... though he insisted the issues won't be resolved with a trade.
"We're not going to trade Aaron Rodgers," Gutekunst said after the 2021 NFL Draft's first round wrapped up.
"The value that he adds to our football is really immeasurable, you know what I mean?" Gutekunst added. "He brings so much to the table not only as a player but as a leader."
Of course, Rodgers has reportedly reached his breaking point with the team ... with multiple reports saying Thursday Aaron wants out BADLY.
Rodgers has been upset with his contract ... and he's made it clear he hasn't loved some of the team's personnel moves -- including when the Packers drafted a quarterback (Jordan Love) in the 2020 NFL Draft's 1st round instead of a wideout.
But, Gutekunst seemed confident both sides will work things out for the 2021 season ... telling reporters, "I do think he'll play for us again."
"We're going to work towards that and we've been working towards that on a number of different fronts."
In fact, the Packers have already rebuked trade offers from at least one team ... 49ers GM John Lynch told reporters Thursday he inquired about the QB before the draft -- but added, "It wasn't happening."
Bottom line, it seems Rodgers is heading for only two options this year -- play for the Pack ... or sit out.

Green Bay Packers tight end Marcedes Lewis REALLY hopes Aaron Rodgers sticks around ... admitting he'll be heartbroken to lose his QB.
Lewis and Rodgers have become close friends since Marcedes joined the Pack back in 2018 ... and knows how special of a player he is.
So, when he saw the reports Thursday about Aaron wanting out of Green Bay -- Lewis admitted he's sad about the whole situation ... but ultimately respects whatever decision Rodgers makes.
"I hope it's something that can get worked out," Lewis told us in L.A. on Thursday ... "He IS Green Bay and we need him to do what we want to do next year."
Lewis says whatever is happening behind the scenes is "between him and the front office and I'm just hoping they can figure it out and A-Rodge returns so we can handle business."
Marcedes gives Rodgers -- the league's reigning MVP -- a TON of credit for leading the team to the NFC championship game the past 2 seasons ... but admits he wants a RING and knows Aaron gives him the best chance to win it.
Still, Lewis has a message for the QB -- "Miss you bro, but I understand it's business first. You gotta do what's best for you and your family so we respect it."

Aaron Rodgers Trolled By 'Jeopardy!' Contestant Over Playoff Loss to Tom Brady!!!

Answer: THIS is what Aaron Rodgers got hit with in the final seconds of his 'Jeopardy' hosting debut ...
Question: What is ... A SICK BURN!?!?
Yep, the Green Bay Packers QB was heckled during Final Jeopardy over that lousy NFC Championship playoff loss to Tom Brady ... and it was hilarious!!
Rodgers was a pretty solid guest host on Monday's show -- keeping a solid pace and offering some fun banter along the way. He crushed it.
But, the best moment of the show took place at the end ... when contestant Scott -- the reigning 2-day champion -- decided to have some fun at Aaron's expense during Final Jeopardy.
The category was Daytime TV Personalities -- but Scott realized he didn't know the material and couldn't win the game.
So, instead of scribbling down a legitimate guess ... he wrote on his monitor, "Who wanted to kick that field goal?!"
SICK BURN!!!
Aaron smiled, laughed and said, "That is a great question! It should be correct!"
Scott is referring to the bizarre call at the end of the NFC Championship game back in January ... where Packers coach Matt LaFleur opted to kick a field goal on 4th and Goal, despite being down 8 points with around 2 minutes remaining.
The Packers got the 3 points -- but Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Bucs got the ball back and successfully ran out the clock, winning the game.
The Packers chose to kick a field goal down 8 with just over 2 minutes remaining, instead of going for a TD on 4th-and-Goal. pic.twitter.com/ByxDJyBATS
— The Comeback (@thecomeback) January 24, 2021 @thecomeback
Most people -- including Aaron -- think Rodgers should've gotten a chance to score a TD on 4th down, followed by a 2 point conversion try. But hey, hindsight is 20/20 right?
Don't worry, Rodgers has a solid support system around him -- including his fiancee, Shailene Woodley, who raved about Aaron right before he made his hosting debut.
"This guy right here is super sexy, super attractive ... just shaved his neck this morning! Has a little man bun growing," she joked.
"This guy is hosting Jeopardy! tonight!"
So, why was Aaron selected to host? Rodgers actually won "Celebrity Jeopardy" back in 2015 ... and explained in his opening comments that he wanted to honor the memory of the late, great Alex Trebek.
Mission accomplished.

For those hoping to land Aaron Rodgers in a trade this offseason, his Packers teammate, Marcedes Lewis, has some bad news for ya ...
The Green Bay tight end tells TMZ Sports there's NO WAY IN HELL the Packers jettison their star QB -- not even for a treasure trove haul!!
"He is Green Bay," Lewis said of the future Hall of Famer. "If we want to do what we want to do, year in and year out, he has to be a part of it."
Of course, for a day or two after Green Bay lost the NFC Championship Game to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it sure looked like a Rodgers trade was coming.
Aaron told reporters he believed his 2021 future was up in the air ... and given the team had just drafted Jordan Love with its first-round pick, the writing seemed to be on the wall.
But, damn near EVERYBODY in the Packers' organization has insisted the last few days that Rodgers isn't going anywhere ... and when we got Lewis out at LAX this week, he said they ain't lying.
"Nobody's even thinking that," Lewis says.
Sorry, NFC North.
By the way, 36-year-old Lewis is scheduled to be a free agent this offseason after spending the last two years with Rodgers in Green Bay ... but he told us he has no plans to retire, and would LOVE to return to the Pack.
