Tiger Woods Shows Injured Leg ... No Signs Of Serious Scarring
Tiger Woods showed off his bare leg in public on Wednesday for the first time since he badly injured it in a car crash last year ... and the damaged limb looks great.
Media members captured the star golfer on video as he wore shorts on his way across a red carpet and into the PGA Tour's headquarters in Florida ... and their video shows there's no apparent signs of serious scarring on the 46-year-old's right limb -- despite the nature of his injuries.

Woods had been wearing either a brace, pants or a compression sleeve on the leg since he busted it up in a Feb. 2021 car accident, but, in the first glimpse of the bare leg since surgery, it's hard to tell anything was wrong with it.
As we reported, Woods required multiple surgeries to fix comminuted open fractures in his leg ... needing a rod, pins and screws to repair the damage.
Yet, check out the footage -- nearly 13 months after the wreck, he hardly has a limp and there's no clear signs that a surgeon's scalpel invaded his skin.

It's unclear if any of it means Woods will be participating in next month's Masters ... but it is safe to say he's getting better daily.
As for Wednesday's event at the Tour's headquarters ... Tiger is getting inducted into the Hall of Fame -- and, don't worry, he's already ditched the shirt and shorts for a clean suit.

Donald Trump says he threatened Vladimir Putin during his presidency ... telling the Russian leader America would attack Moscow if the ex-KGB officer attacked Ukraine.
#45 made the revelation during a phone conversation with golf legend John Daly (JD had the call on speakerphone, and someone recorded) ... which was posted on the Internet.

"It's like they're afraid of him. You know, he was a friend of mine. I got along great with him. I say, 'Vladimir, if you do it, we're hitting Moscow.' And he sort of believed me, in like 5%, 10%, that's all you need."
"He never did it during my time, John," Trump told Daly, adding, "Why didn't he do this during the last 4 years?"
Of course, Trump is referring to Putin's forces invading Ukraine -- a sovereign nation -- just 1 year into Joe Biden's presidency.
Moscow is the capital of Russia, and the country's largest city, with an estimated population around 13 million.
Trump also touched on China and its president, Xi Jinping and the possibility of a future crisis in Taiwan.
Many security analysts are concerned China could follow Russia's playbook and invade Taiwan ... but Trump says he also warned China -- like he did with Putin -- of serious consequences if there was an incursion into Taiwan.
"Xi didn't bother me either. I told him the same thing."
Trump believes with Biden at the helm, an invasion is imminent.
"Taiwan will be next. You won't have any computer chips. They'll blow them off the face of the earth."
The country is responsible for the manufacturing of a majority of the world's semiconductor chips ... a necessity for almost all modern technology, including everything from cell phones to military equipment.
So, for the sake of humanity, let's hope Donald's wrong.

Sad news in the golf world ... PGA Tour star Jason Day's mom has passed away following a lengthy battle with cancer.
The 34-year-old golfer made the heartbreaking announcement on his Instagram page Thursday ... saying his mom, Adenil "Dening" Day, died on Wednesday night five years after she was diagnosed with lung cancer.
"We are heart broken but incredibly grateful for the gift we had in her living with us for the last almost two years full time," Day said. "She fought so hard until the very last breath."
According to the PGA Tour, Dening passed away peacefully with Jason and other family members by her side.
"I am forever indebted to her for the sacrifices she made for me to be successful, and for the person she helped me to become," said Day, who pulled out of the Arnold Palmer Invitational earlier this week to be with his mother in her final days.
"We will miss her so much."
Tragically, Dening is not the first parent Jason has lost to cancer ... his father passed away from stomach cancer when Jason was just 12 years old.
RIP.

Golf Star Jon Rahm Unbelievably Misses 10-Inch Putt ... Just Tap It In!!!
Suck at golf? Here's something that'll make you feel a whole lot better about your game ...
Jon Rahm -- the world's best golfer -- missed a 10-inch putt during the first round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational on Thursday ... and it was truly unbelievable.
Rahm went to nonchalantly tap in his par putt at the par 3 7th hole at the famous v ... when disaster totally struck.
Rahm didn't hit the ball hard enough ... and according to PGA Tour's shot tracker -- it actually went just 1 inch!!!
Literally the best golfer in the world missed this pic.twitter.com/hxBd1aJVmH
— Will Brinson (@WillBrinson) March 3, 2022 @WillBrinson
"He just went for the tap-in, and I don't know what happened exactly," one of the stunned announcers said on the broadcast. "It didn't move but a few inches."
To everyone's surprise, Rahm somehow kept his cool ... wiping off the face of his putter before hammering the ball into the cup for a bogey.
Rahm's still out on the course and he was able to rebound on the next hole to card a par ... but the extra stroke took him way down the leaderboard.
Next time, better just give it a little tappy, Jon!

Joe Burrow All Smiles On Course With D Book ... Post-Super Bowl Loss
Joe Burrow is spending his offseason the right way ... by playing golf with Kendall Jenner's boyfriend, Devin Booker, and his old Ohio State teammates after losing Super Bowl LVI.
Burrow hit the links with D Book in Scottsdale, Arizona recently .... where Joey B's teammate, Sam Hubbard, and 49ers star defensive end, Nick Bosa joined in on the fun.
Hubbard, a defensive end for the Bengals, took to social media to share a few images of the trip as they enjoyed some nice weather out on the course ... followed by a group dinner after.
The Bengals, of course, are still trying to recover from their disappointing 23-20 loss to the Rams in the Super Bowl ... and what better way to do that than having some quality tee time!!
Of course, Sam, Nick, and Joey Franchise all went to Ohio State -- though Burrow would finish his career with the LSU Tigers, where he led them to a national title after defeating Clemson in the 2019 season.
But, it was those OSU and Ohio roots that forged the basis of the foundation for Sam's relationship with Joe ... and it's spilled over into their professional careers.
While the Bengals season is over, the Suns and Booker are still playing ... and with the best record in the NBA, Phoenix looks poised to make a serious run at an NBA championship.
It won't be easy with Chris Paul being out ... but maybe Burrow's playoff success winning will rub off on Booker??

Aaron Rodgers Keeps the Mystery Going ... Golfing in Palm Springs, but Where's Shailene?
Aaron Rodgers made a trek to the desert after breaking bread with Shailene Woodley in L.A., because he's now soaking up the sun in Palm Springs.
Aaron arrived in P.S. Friday afternoon, looking cool as a cucumber -- Adidas hoodie and aviator shades -- as he left the airport. He's apparently there to get in some rounds of golf. We didn't see Shailene, but who knows?
It was the Green Bay Packers quarterback's first outing since news broke earlier in the day that he was open to a reconciliation with ex-fiancée Shailene Woodley, 30, with a source claiming that the couple are "talking things through."
The questions lots of folks want answered -- are they together, did they break up, did they get back together, are they just friends now? Lots of questions, but not a lot of answers.
There were all sorts of reports Aaron and Shailene broke up, but they never confirmed it. Fact is ... that's not the QB's style. Aaron doesn't like the media, and him not responding is highly unsurprising.
What we do know ... they were just at breakfast together at Erewhon Market in L.A., so whatever their status they seem to be getting along.
You gotta think they're chuckling at (collective) us.

Phil Mickelson Callaway Deal Paused In Wake of Controversial Saudi Comments
Phil Mickelson just lost a major sponsor in the wake of his controversial comments on Saudi Arabia ... and it's one of his oldest partners.
Callaway Golf is pausing their business relationship with the pro golfer and will stop sending him payments.
The golf company says they will reevaluate the partnership at some point in the future ... but for now, they are distancing themselves from Phil.
As you know ... Mickelson is catching a ton of heat for his comments on Saudi Arabia ahead of playing in a new golf league in the country.
Phil played in the league despite saying the country had a "horrible record of human rights."
Phil said ... "We know they killed (Washington Post reporter and U.S. resident Jamal) Khashoggi and have a horrible record on human rights. They execute people over there for being gay. Knowing all of this, why would I even consider it? Because this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to shape how the PGA Tour operates."
Mickelson apologized for his comments after playing a round in the Saudi league, saying he was taken out of context and his statements were supposed to be off the record ... though he admitted his words were regrettable and offensive.
In his mea culpa, Phil said ... "It was reckless, I offended people, and I am deeply sorry for my choice of words," Mickelson said in his statement. "I'm beyond disappointed and will make every effort to self-reflect and learn from this."
He continued, "My intent was never to hurt anyone and I’m so sorry to the people I have negatively impacted. This has always been about supporting the players and the game and I appreciate all the people who have given me the benefit of the doubt."
Phil also hinted he could take a step away from the game for a while following the firestorm ... including the fact he "desperately" needs "some time away."
Now, Callaway is taking some time away from Mickelson after a 17-year partnership.

Phil Mickelson My Saudi Comments Were Out Of Context ... But 'I Am Deeply Sorry'

3:34 PM PT -- One of Mickelson's biggest sponsors, accounting giant KPMG, announced it has "mutually agreed" to part ways with the golfer following the controversy.
"We wish him the best," KPMG officials said in a statement.
Phil Mickelson says the insensitive comments he made recently about a new Saudi golf league were taken "out of context and without my consent" ... but the golf star is still issuing a mea culpa nonetheless.
Phil broke it all down in a lengthy statement on his social media page Tuesday ... just days after he admitted to supporting the formation of a new Saudi golf league, despite what he called the country's "horrible record of human rights."
"We know they killed (Washington Post reporter and U.S. resident Jamal) Khashoggi and have a horrible record on human rights," Mickelson said, according to The Fire Pit Collective.
"They execute people over there for being gay. Knowing all of this, why would I even consider it? Because this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to shape how the PGA Tour operates."
Phil went on to say that he believed the new Saudi league -- which was reportedly trying to sway top American golfers with millions of dollars in cash -- could force big and necessary changes on the PGA Tour.
While Phil said Tuesday the comments were "off record" and out of context -- he admitted that the words were offensive and regrettable regardless.
Phil then hinted he could take a step away from the game for a while following the controversy ... saying he "desperately" needs "some time away."
We should note ... Phil's worked hard to change the game over the years, including a revamp of the US Ryder Cup system and helped to create the Player Impact Program ... a monumental moment for player pay.

The possibility of seeing Tiger Woods in this year's Masters is growing slimmer and slimmer ... the golf legend just said he's had "very limited" practice work and still has absolutely no idea when he'll be able to return to the PGA Tour.
Woods spoke with the media Wednesday for the first time since he returned to somewhat competitive golf action at the PNC Championship in December -- and he made it clear, he's a long ways away from battling Phil Mickelson at Augusta in April.

Tiger said he hasn't been able to swing his driver or his other woods as much as he'd like due to the leg injury he suffered in a Feb. 2021 car crash ... and added that walking around a course is still challenging.
"I wish I could tell you when I'm playing again," Woods said ... adding that he still has "a long way to go."
Tiger did say his short game -- chipping, putting, and lower irons -- is good ... and he said when he can use a cart, he's totally fine.
But, Woods made it clear -- he's nowhere near ready to walk a course for a full week at a major championship like the Masters.

As for his injured leg, Tiger joked that's it's certainly altered ... telling one reporter, "My right leg does not look like my left."
As we reported, Woods needed multiple procedures to fix comminuted open fractures in his leg following his wreck in L.A. 12 months ago.
He looked great at the PNC Championship playing for a few days in a golf cart with his son, Charlie, two months ago ... but now it seems it could be a while before we see that version of Tiger in a real tourney.

So much so, James said he's planning a big night out for the photog as soon as he gets back into the Scottsdale area.
James tells us he wants to take the dude to Toca Madera, and then hit up a Suns game. After that, it seems like James feels like they'll be even.
As for his golf career going forward, James says the brutal shot isn't going to deter him from picking up clubs again ... he tells us he's got plans to take the game more seriously after he moves to Miami -- and he's aiming for redemption at the same pro-am next year.

Waste Mgmt. Phoenix Open Sam Ryder Showered w/ Beer ... After Crazy Hole-in-One!!!
Sam Ryder drilled a hole-in-one during a golf tournament in the Arizona desert -- and the reaction from the crowd would've almost certainly put a smile on Adam Sandler's face.
Check out this insane moment that went down Saturday at the Waste Management Phoenix Open (yes, that's the real name) ... where the golfer was celebrated in true 'Happy Gilmore' fashion, getting showered with both beer and accompanying cans from a rowdy crowd.
We're still under a beer can removal delay after Sam Ryder aced the stadium par 3 in Phoenix pic.twitter.com/R7629qFlyZ
— The Comeback (@thecomeback) February 12, 2022 @thecomeback
While teeing off on the 16th hole -- a par-3, at just 124 yards -- Ryder's ball sailed in the air and then landed perfectly on the green ... rolling on into the cup. Ace, baby!
It was freaking awesome ... and you can definitely tell by how the spectators reacted, literally erupting in cheers, which was quickly followed by beer getting flung up into the air ... and soon, containers getting chucked onto the actual course down below.
Happy Gilmore would have been proud today! pic.twitter.com/MsoUnUaVO1
— Jeff Kirk (@JeffreyNKirk) February 12, 2022 @JeffreyNKirk
Nobody seemed to mind, though ... the Phoenix Open has this sort of rep, so if anything -- it's expected at this point. Of course, that means they gotta go into delays constantly because of "rain" like this on standby and at the ready from the surrounding balcony areas.
And yes, it goes without saying ... folks couldn't help but make the 'Happy' comparisons. Whereas golf tournaments are usually way less raucous than this ... this specific one brings out the best in fans, it seems.
Sam was a second away from doing the bull dance, feeling flow ... and workin' it, workin' it.
Also, maybe they oughta put that WM sponsorship to good use here ... clean up in the golf department, people!
CC Sabathia Bloodies Yankees Fan's Leg With Errant Tee Shot ... At AZ Golf Event

Don't feel bad, Matt James ... CC Sabathia also hit a guy with an errant tee shot on the course in Arizona on Wednesday -- drilling a Yankees fan in the leg just hours before the 'Bachelor' star hit a photog in the thigh.
CC's unfortunate drive happened on the 18th hole of the Waste Management Phoenix Open Pro-Am ... when a witness tells us the former Yankees superstar pushed his shot so far to the right on the par-4, it struck a man in the leg.
Video, obtained by TMZ Sports, shows the collision was so powerful ... it actually caused the guy to bleed.
Thankfully, we're told the fan ended up being OK -- and, watch the clip, CC was super nice and apologetic about it all.
Sabathia can be heard chatting it up with the man, who actually said he was a big Yankees and CC fan.
Sabathia ended up signing a golf ball as an apology souvenir ... before he headed off to finish out his round.
In case you were wondering, Sabathia is normally a fairly decent golfer -- reportedly with a handicap in the teens.
As for James, who drilled a fan at the event on the 16th hole shortly after Sabathia, we're pretty sure he can't say the same thing.

'Bachelor' Matt James Drills Photog With Horrific Tee Shot ... At Pro-Am Golf Event
Matt James now owes a golf photographer far more than just a bunch of roses ... 'cause the former 'Bachelor' star nailed the dude with an errant tee shot at a Pro-Am event in Arizona on Wednesday, nearly hitting the guy in his family jewels!!!
The hilarious (and terrifying!) scene all went down at the Waste Management Phoenix Open Pro-Am ... when James stepped to the tee box barefoot at the world-famous 16th hole at TPC Scottsdale to try to win some money for charity.
Matt was gunning to be the closest to the pin on the par-3 ... but you can see in the video, he had trouble even getting the ball off the ground.
His first hack was terrible -- he got nothing but grass and dirt -- and then he shanked his second swing so badly, it went 15 yards to the right and drilled a camera guy right in the thigh.
James was super sorry for the miss ... he ran over immediately and gave the guy a hug and offered him the golf ball as an apology souvenir.
The man, meanwhile, said, thankfully, he was OK.
"I think I was aiming for the wrong hole."

Added the photog, "He felt bad. I felt it ... Next year, I'm wearing a cup."
Might be necessary, 'cause James said he intends to come back in 2023 for redemption.

Arizona Golf Bobcat Hunts Down Bird On Course ... Wild Video!!!
A bobcat used an Arizona golf course's bunker to hunt down a duck (or goose) last week ... and video of the scene is WILD!!!
Several golfers caught the cat in action at Silverleaf Country Club in Scottsdale on Friday ... showing the bobcat stalking a flock of birds on the 15th hole at the course.
You can see in the footage ... the cat used the hole's layout perfectly to get his lunch, hiding in the sand before springing into action.
The animal ended up catching one of the birds with its teeth -- and eventually hauled his meal off into the desert.
The golfers on the course were stunned by it all, laughing in shock ... while a person behind the camera yelled, "That's amazing!"
As for if the interruption affected the golfers' play -- it didn't, 'cause according to Instagram user @ramzizu, several of them were still able to card (ironically enough) birdies on the hole.
