TMZSports.com

Klay Thompson's dad Mychal Thompson is calling out Scottie Pippen ... saying his son's team would definitely beat the '96 Bulls in a never-gonna-happen fantasy basketball series.

Thompson -- a former NBA #1 overall pick -- was out in L.A. when we asked him about Pip saying his record setting Bulls team would SWEEP the Warriors if the two were able to magically meet up.

The comments caught fire on social media with some accusing Pippen of old man "get off my yard" nostalgic bravado ... and some saying he was dead on.

Count Mychal among that first group ... 'cause he says Steph and the gang would take out MJ and Pippen's crew in a sizzling seven game series.

Check out the clip -- and let the barber shop arguments begin.

This is pretty damn funny ... if you're not NBA star Festus Ezeli.

The Golden State Warriors star was targeted for a hilarious prank by some of his teammates, including Andre Iguodala and Klay Thompson ... who executed a plot to convince Festus he'd been cut from the team.

6:04 AM PT -- Draymond Green addressed the situation after the Warriors game Wednesday night -- and didn't deny being the driver.

"Obviously, poor judgment," Green said ... "But I think it's kind of out-of-story of what it's trying to be made out to be. I'm not here to take any attention away from this team."

The Warriors also issued a statement saying, "We are aware of the video and will discuss it with Draymond after tonight's game. We hold all of our players and staff members to a high standard that sends a positive message and example to our fans and the community in general."

"We look forward to having a conversation with Draymond and getting additional information."

Bizarre situation involving NBA star Draymond Green -- who posted (and then deleted) a video that appeared to show him driving 118 mph in his BMW ... and now his reps aren't talking.

Green posted the video to his Snapchat story Wednesday -- shot from the driver's seat in a BMW that's tearing up a public road that appears to be in the Bay Area. The video never reveals the face of the person driving the car.

People on social media began to freak out -- asking Green why he would post the video on his page and if he was the driver.

Soon after, Green deleted the video from his page.

In another video Green posted earlier to the same Snapchat story, the NBA star can be seen in what appears to be the same car ... though it's unclear if the footage was shot during the same ride as the 118 mph.

We reached out to Green's agent and the Golden State Warriors for comment -- so far no one's talking.

Thompson has a way with the ladies ... whether it be in Vegas or L.A -- remember the underwater twerk fest??

(Having a championship ring and a $70 million contract tends to help).

You win ... you get roasted -- and Thursday, the Golden State Warriors became targets for the comedic stylings of President Barack Obama!!

It's pretty funny -- the entire team arrived to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave to be honored by POTUS ... and Obama delivered zinger after zinger, targeting everyone from Steph Curry to Klay Thompson.

Really, the only person who got some love was Steph's daughter Riley (besides Steve Kerr who got props for being on the Bulls).

It's funny stuff ... hail to the chief.

Funny candid moment with Rudy Tomjanovich.

The former Rockets and Lakers head coach was at Staples Center Tuesday night for the game ... when asked a question everyone's trying to figure out -- how do you beat the Warriors?

His answer's pretty funny.

We also asked if he thinks the Warriors can win 73 games this season ... eclipsing the 95-96 Bulls.

Check out his answer.

Kobe Bryant Special Wine Worth a Fortune 'Tens of Thousands of Dollars'

Here it is ... a picture of the special bottle of wine the Golden State Warriors gave to Kobe Bryant ... and we're told it's worth a FORTUNE!!

TMZ Sports spoke with John Schwartz -- the owner of the Amuse Bouche Winery in Napa Valley -- who tells us the special 5 liter Jerobaum bottle of 2012 cabernet was specially made for #24.

"The wine was made by famed winemaker Heidi Barrett," Schwartz tells us -- Barrett happens to be one of the most famous winemakers in the country.

Schwartz would not put an exact number on the value of the bottle -- but says similar bottles usually sell for "tens of thousands of dollars."

"This one is one of a kind ... it's priceless."

In fact, the bottle was hand-etched and then painted specifically for Bryant -- by request of the owners of the Warriors who are personal friends with Schwartz.

Bryant was also gifted a Napa vacation package -- complete with dinners at some of the best restaurants in the area.

BTW, Schwartz says Kobe shouldn't go poppin' this bottle anytime soon -- "It'll be great now ... but I think in 15 to 20 years it'll age beautifully."

Golden State Warriors Proposed Arena Would Cripple Hospital ... Lawsuit Claims

The mother of a 6-year-old boy with a severe heart condition has filed a lawsuit hoping to stop plans for a new arena for the Golden State Warriors ... 1,000 feet from a children's hospital emergency room.

Jennifer Wade is suing the chancellor of the University of California at San Francisco -- which owns the land where the proposed arena is set to be built.

Wade claims the arena would cause traffic, crowds and other obstacles that could block access to lifesaving care.

In her suit, Wade claims several public officials -- including S.F. mayor Ed Lee forced the university to sign the deal by threatening to retaliate against UCSF in some way if they got in the way of the plans.

Wade says the issue is deeply personal to her -- since her 6-year-old son Magnus has a congenital heart defect and often seeks treatment at UCSF.

"He often needs emergency care at a moment’s notice. It terrifies me to think about being caught in traffic, unable to bring Magnus to the hospital."

"I filed this lawsuit because I can’t believe that the Chancellor would allow the Warriors to build their arena next to the hospital."

Wade is begging a judge to void the deal asap.

Lute Olson Luke Walton Proved Himself ... Will Be Great NBA Coach

Luke Walton just got a LEGENDARY co-sign from one of the biggest names in basketball coaching history ... who says Walton has already proved he's got what it takes to be a head coach in the NBA.

TMZ Sports spoke with Luke's college coach Lute Olson -- who's in the Basketball Hall of Fame after a historical run at the University of Arizona.

Olson tells us he's been paying very close attention to how Walton's doing as the interim coach of the Golden State Warriors -- and says he's convinced Luke is ready for a full-time role.

"Just watching him on the sideline, he handles himself really well. He is a great communicator. I can tell the players really like him and respect him."

Walton is currently filling in for Steve Kerr -- who also played for Lute -- and Olson says he couldn't be more proud of his proteges.

As for Luke, Olson believes it's only a matter of time before he gets a serious job offer from another team.

"I think he will be a very successful NBA coach and there is no doubt in my mind he will be an NBA coach."

Aries Spears Lakers Will Beat Warriors 'Sun Shines On a Dog's Ass'

DON'T BELIEVE THE WARRIORS' HYPE
TMZsports.com

It doesn't matter that they're 17 POINT UNDERDOGS, the Lakers will shock the best team in the NBA tonight and BEAT THE WARRIORS ... for real ... so says Aries Spears.

"The sun shines on a dog's ass baby ... and the Lakers got their booty in the air."

The former "Mad TV" star says it's just a matter of time before Golden State starts racking up the Ls ... and says any comparison to the legendary '96 Chicago Bulls team is just plain ridiculous.

"I'm not sipping the Warriors Kool-Aid," Spears said ... "Until they beat 72-10 I ain't fallin' for it."

Ron Harper '96 Bulls Would BEAT '15 Warriors ... Period.

The Golden State Warriors are good ... but they're NOT the 1996 Chicago Bulls ... so says Ron Harper who says his squad is the greatest NBA team of all time.

The Warriors are 12-0 and dominating -- crushing opponents by an average of 15 points a game ... drawing comparisons to the legendary '96 Bulls ... the first team to ever win 70 regular season games.

We asked Ron if he thought the Warriors had a shot to break their record (72-10), he didn't hold back.

"Records are made to be broken but that Bulls team was built on defense and was a BETTER team than the Golden State Warriors."

Harper added, "and no one wins a championship in November and December."

FYI -- the Bulls started 10-2 through their first 12 games ... with superstars like Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Toni Kukoc and Dennis Rodman playing out of their minds on their way to an NBA title.

By the way, Steve Kerr was also on the '96 Bulls team ... and happens to be the current coach of Golden State.

Wonder if he feels the same way Harper does ...

Chris Paul Schmoozin' with Huge Stars ... Before Clips Game

When you play pro ball in L.A., schmoozin' with the celebrities is part of the job ... just ask Chris Paul who chummed it up with Floyd Mayweather and Kevin Hart before Monday's game.

Both Floyd and Kev had courtside seats to watch the Clippers take on the Phoenix Suns -- and each star got a personal visit from CP3 before tip off ... pretty cool, right?

BTW, Kev took his son to the game ... and judging by the look on his face as the Clips pulled away ... dude had a good time.
