Deontay Wilder I Hit Harder Than Mike Tyson ... Let the Past Go!
-
Exclusive
"I am the hardest-hitting puncher in boxing history, period."
Deontay Wilder says his right hand is the most devastating weapon in the history of combat sports -- more dangerous than Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali, you name it.
... And to everyone who disagrees, Wilder has a simple message -- "Let [the past] go!"
The Bronze Bomber is coming off a ferocious 7th round knockout of Luis Ortiz -- where he cracked LO with a right cross that knocked him into next week.
Wilder ROCKED his ass. This is insane. You can see the moment the soul of Ortiz left his body. That’s not sweat. That’s his spirit. It’s gone into the ether. #WilderOrtiz2 #BombSquadpic.twitter.com/1qhn6hxMPj
— Pablo Escobarner, Fair and Just (@PabloEscobarner) November 24, 2019 @PabloEscobarner
But, Wilder says it's not the hardest shot he's landed ... he thought he KILLED a guy in a 2016 fight.
"Man, I think the [Artur Szpilka] fight still tops it. Just the way that he landed and I really didn't see him breathing ... at all. I didn't see him start breathing until his GF came over and he finally woke up."
"It was like something in the movies and I actually had to witness it with my own eyes and it was amazing to see that. That one, I really felt it. Ortiz, I didn't feel the punch."
Next up for Wilder is the rematch with Tyson Fury, who just said he has the "Kryptonite" for Deontay's right hand.
"I mean, if him getting up off his back is the 'Kryptonite' than Lord have mercy! Have mercy upon him the 2nd time because he won't get up. Because I'm gonna get him again."
Wilder continued, "These fighters have to be perfect for me for 12 rounds and that's 36 minutes! 36 minutes you gotta be perfect!"
As for George Foreman, who told TMZ Sports he thinks Mike Tyson hits harder than Deontay ... Wilder says his critics need to stop living in the past!
Wilder also says he knows Iron Mike has been praising him in private, but he's ready for Mike to shower him with compliments in public!
"I had some people sitting by Mike (at my fight). Mike gave me some praises, which I wish he would have said in public. Behind closed doors is cute and s**t but out in public?! Just express yourself!"
"I don't know what the deal is with the old generation, new generation. Like, the old is the past, bro -- let it go!"
There's more ... Wilder also gave us the lowdown on his AMAZING ring-walk costume ... telling us it cost a fortune, but it was worth every penny!
"We wanted to go into a modern-day king, like knight ... It was like the outfit represented the old and the new. The old me turning into the new me. The past is the past, welcome to the future."
So, price?
"The outfit was like $16k ... but its a write-off."
Wilder says he's already working on his NEXT costume ... and he wants it to be even more impressive!
Stay tuned ...

Jalen Ramsey Near Brawl With Marcus Peters Held Back By Rams Staffers

Here's the most fighting the Rams did all night Monday ...
Jalen Ramsey had to be restrained by several L.A. Rams staffers after he and Marcus Peters nearly came to blows just minutes after the Ravens beat the hell out of JR's squad.
The game was wild ... the Rams couldn't stop Lamar Jackson at all in a 45-6 blowout -- and when Peters started ballin' out, he trash-talked Jalen like crazy.
Cameras caught the Ravens cornerback screaming across the sideline at Jalen ... and then they later filmed him mocking Ramsey's celebration after an interception.
It all spilled over into a near brawl at midfield after the final whistle ... when the two were in a heated screaming match.

— Complex Sports (@ComplexSports) November 26, 2019 @ComplexSports
Eventually, the guys were separated -- with Ramsey having to be essentially carried all the way to his locker room up the tunnel at the L.A. Coliseum.
At one point, Peters reportedly told Ramsey, "[We] kicked y’all ass out the playoffs."
After the game, Rams CB Jalen Ramsey was being restrained by Rams personnel in the tunnel while shouting at Ravens players and staff going into their locker room. @NBCLA pic.twitter.com/UD7j9R1ycF
— Kenny Holmes (@KHOLMESlive) November 26, 2019 @KHOLMESlive
Unclear why the two have such bad beef -- although it seems Peters is pretty pissed after the Rams traded him to Baltimore last month and then acquired Jalen only a few hours later.
Peters did NOT address the media after the incident ... and Ramsey refused to take questions from reporters over it all, saying, "I ain't going to answer no BS."
As for their team's standings ... Ramsey's Rams are pretty much dead after Monday's L -- while Peters' Ravens are now the Super Bowl favorites.
Must've been a pretty fun plane ride back to Baltimore!

Evander was in the crowd that night and was obviously impressed with his son's handiwork.
As we previously reported, Evan made his pro fight debut just 3 weeks prior -- dismantling Nick Winstead in just 16 seconds into the 1st round of their Nov. 2 bout (on the undercard of the Canelo Alvarez vs. Sergey Kovalev fight).

The New York Knicks are claiming Richard Jefferson straight-up LIED about getting a contract offer from the team before he retired ... saying RJ is just blowing smoke.
The Knicks could NOT have been happy with the comments Jefferson made on ESPN this weekend ... when he said he chose RETIREMENT over a contract with the Knicks because they suck.
"I refused to play for the Knicks," Jefferson said during the Knicks vs. Nets broadcast on Sunday night.
"Jason Kidd and Kenyon Martin -- they don't really care. Me, I was the one person that said, 'Knicks? No. I’ll retire.' That’s why I retired."
"They were the one team that offered me a job, and I decided to retire," RJ continued ... "It’s true. I decided to retire instead of playing for the Knicks."
Now, the Knicks are clapping back through the team's official PR Twitter account ... saying, "For clarification purposes, it is not true that the New York Knicks offered Richard Jefferson a contract in either the summer of 2018 or 2019."
So, someone's lying ...
As for Jefferson, dude had a solid NBA career -- he played 17 seasons in the league and won an NBA title with the Cleveland Cavs in 2016.
Jefferson just tweeted at the Knicks, essentially laughing at them -- saying, "2020 here we come #comeback 😂"

Taylor Swift Accepts AMA This Year Had 'Some of the Hardest Things I've Gone Through'
-
Exclusive Details
- 2.9K shares
8:16 PM PT -- Taylor just won Artist of the Year, and said the last year has had some of the best and hardest times of her life. While she never mentioned Scooter or Big Machine directly, it's hard to imagine she wasn't referring to the situation.
It's also worth mentioning that Taylor's outfit at the beginning of her performance had the names of her old albums ... a not-so-subtle dig at Braun.
Taylor Swift could not have been more gracious accepting the AMA Artist of the Decade award ... and there wasn't a peep about her old songs, Big Machine or Scooter Braun.
Taylor sang most of her biggest hits, including "Love Story," "I Knew You Were Trouble" and "Shake it Off." What's interesting ... she didn't sing "Bad Blood," or "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" ... the latter could be a metaphor for her relationship with Big Machine, so not singing it was interesting. She opened the set with her new song, "The Man."
Swift got huge applause and thanked just about everyone in her life, but no mention about her raging dispute with BM and Braun.
Our sources tell us ... Taylor and/or her team have not met with Scooter and/or reps from Big Machine ... this after Scooter's overture Friday morning. We're told there are no plans to meet.

Nick Young got HEATED during a rec league championship game on Wednesday -- where he had to be held back during an on-court altercation ... and eventually forfeited the game.
The former Lakers star was hoopin' at the 1st Place Sports Complex in Chatsworth, CA Wednesday for the league championship ... and they were killin' it until things went south.
We're told Nick's team was up 14 in the 2nd half when an argument broke out over a foul call and things escalated quickly.
Some words were said and Nick got angry -- to the point where his teammates had to hold him back from a possible fight.
Eventually, we're told Nick and his team just grabbed their stuff and left the gym without finishing the game ... which was later ruled a forfeit and the title was given to the opposing team.
It's not the first time Swaggy P has been accused of losing his cool at a rec league game -- back in 2016, he was sued for allegedly beating up an opposing player at a church league game in Porter Ranch.

Browns' Myles Garrett Doubles Down On Rudolph Racial Slur Claim ... 'I Know What I Heard'
-
Breaking News
- 18.7K shares
4:09 PM PT -- Myles Garrett is not backing down from claims Mason Rudolph hurled a racial slur at him during the helmet-throwing incident ... saying "I know what I heard."
Garrett just issued a statement ripping the NFL ... accusing league officials of leaking confidential information from his appeal hearing to the media.
Here's his statement in full ...
"I was assured that the hearing was space that afforded the opportunity to speak openly and honestly about the incident that led to my suspension," Garrett says. "This was not meant for public dissemination, nor was it a convenient attempt to justify my actions or restore my image in the eyes of those I disappointed."
"I know what I heard. Whether my opponent's comment was born out of frustration or ignorance, I cannot say. But his actions do not excuse my lack of restraint in the moment, and I truly regret the impact this has had on the league, the Browns and our devoted fans."
1:14 PM PT -- The NFL says it investigated Garrett's allegation and found "no such evidence" that Rudolph hurled a racial slur.
"We looked into it and found no such evidence," NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy said.
Myles Garrett told NFL officials Steelers QB Mason Rudolph hurled a racial slur at him before the infamous helmet attack ... though Rudolph is calling BS.
As we previously reported, the Cleveland Browns star met with NFL officials to appeal the length of his suspension from the Nov. 14 incident.
During the meeting, Garrett told his side of the story ... and claimed it was a racial slur from Rudolph that got him so pissed off, he ripped off the QB's helmet and attacked him with it, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
But, Rudolph is VEHEMENTLY denying the claim -- his lawyer has already issued a statement calling the allegation a flat-out lie.
"This false allegation was never asserted by Garrett in the aftermath of the game, never suggested prior to the hearing, and conspicuously absent in the apology published by the Browns and adopted by Garrett."
"The malicious use of this wild and unfounded allegation is an assault on Mason's integrity which is far worse than the physical assault witnessed on Thursday."
"This is reckless and shameful."
Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens just addressed the situation at Browns practice on Thursday, saying, "I stand by Myles and that's not going to waver. I'll support Myles in every way possible."
Kitchens refused to disclose what he and Myles talked about following the incident.

-
Exclusive Details

Ray J is opening up about the recent drama with his pregnant wife -- he denies her claim he left her and their daughter "stranded," and expresses disappointment that she aired her grievances on social media ... of course, he's saying all this on social media.
As you know ... Princess Love recently blasted Ray J online, claiming he left her high and dry in Vegas and blocked her from calling. He also apparently blocked her on Instagram.
But, in a video posted to IG, Ray says he's confused about how he could have "stranded' her and their girl, Melody, if they never left the pad they were staying at in the first place.
He goes on to direct comments at Princess Love about it not being cool to take their argument to social media ... and says they need to embrace and love each other during the tough times, especially with another child arriving soon.
As for what sparked the debacle ... sources close to Ray J tell us he traveled to Vegas on a business trip and his wife and daughter came too, but while they were there some issues that had been building up exploded.
We're told they got into an argument over how much he's working with her being 8 1/2 months pregnant -- and he didn't want to deal with the fight so he left and got his own hotel room.
Ray J's adamant he didn't abandon his family or put Melody in harm's way ... and seems to suggest this is just a regular couples' fight that got overblown. We're told Ray wanted to give Princess some space and it got misconstrued.
In his video, he does manage to slip in an apology near the end ... and says the devil is trying to mess things up, but he's committed to not letting that happen.
To make it all even more confusing, though, he added in the caption ... "Love lost this time" with a broken heart emoji.

Terrell Owens Blasts Stephen A. Over Kaepernick Criticism White Cohost 'Blacker Than You'

Breaking News

12:58 PM PT -- Things are getting even more petty between Owens and Stephen A. ... the two are now in a heated argument on social media over who asked who to be on Thursday's show.
"They called my guy @douggiefresh21 and asked ME to be on the show!!" Owens said. "Let’s not get it twisted! I got the texts from my guy @douggiefresh21 himself asking if my ears were burning because someone at @Espn had just called him to have me come on the show."
Owens added in a tweet directed at Stephen A., "Again, 'THEY' have given u information, wrong information at that and u believed it!! AND I’M GONNA LEAVE IT AT THAT!"
Terrell Owens just ripped Stephen A. Smith for his Colin Kaepernick criticism ... and straight-up told the ESPN star his white cohost, Max Kellerman, "almost seems blacker than you."
SAS has been one of Kap's biggest detractors since his NFL workout over the weekend ... essentially blasting the QB for not publicly explaining his situation further.
TO has taken major issue with the TV talent's takes, and even sent Stephen A. a private text message about it -- so Smith invited Owens on "First Take" to air it out.
The two were arguing alongside cohost Max Kellerman over the issue ... when Owens interrupted the discussion to say, "Max almost seems blacker than you, Stephen A."
SAS was FURIOUS about the comment -- calling a "timeout" and telling Owens he "crossed the line."
"Imma check you right now," Smith said. "You done crossed the line."
Eventually, Owens explained his comment by telling Smith, "You're taking it as disrespect. There's no disrespect ... it's tongue-in-cheek."
Doesn't seem Smith saw it that way ... 'cause he went on his ESPN Radio show later Thursday and said he wished he were on another network so he could curse about the whole incident.
Owens hasn't talked about the drama on social media yet ... but we're sure a tweet or IG post will be coming soon.

Mason Rudolph is admitting he shouldn't have tried ripping Myles Garrett's helmet off his head during last week's brawl ... but is adamant he didn't say anything to spark the attack.
The Steelers QB read a prepared statement at practice on Wednesday ... saying, “Thursday night, to say the least, it was an unfortunate situation for everyone involved."
“Looking back on the final play of the game, I fell short of the mark there too. I should have done a better job of keeping my cool in that situation."
As for the speculation he may have said something to put Garrett over the edge ... Rudolph claims he said nothing.
Mason Rudolph addressed the Thursday incident in a prepared statement and brief Q&A before walk through.
— Brooke Pryor (@bepryor) November 20, 2019 @bepryor
“I consider it a privilege, not a right to be a part of the NFL. To be part of a first class organization ... and I fell short of that expectation last Thursday night.” pic.twitter.com/2OHiDWLEBm
“Definitely didn’t say anything. I got to do a better job of keeping my composure in those situations.”
It's a big change of tune from Rudolph's comments last week when the QB called Garrett's actions "cowardly" and "bush league" ... despite trying to yank the Browns star's helmet off and appearing to kick him where it hurts.
Rudolph says he hopes to move past the situation and has no ill will towards Garrett.
Regarding punishment, Rudolph says he hasn't received a letter from the NFL ... while Garrett is meeting with the league today to appeal his indefinite suspension.

Taylor Swift Scooter Braun Screws Up Attack Plan at AMAs

Taylor Swift may be locked and loaded to go after Scooter Braun Sunday at the AMAs, but we've learned she'll be talking to an empty chair because Scooter will be thousands of miles away.
Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Scooter's not scared of what Taylor might do ... fact is, he never planned on showing up for the show. He'll be in Tampa, Florida supporting one of his artists who's performing there ... in case you're not familiar, her name is Ariana Grande.
As we first told you ... Scooter's getting death threats from loyal Taylor fans in the wake of their idol claiming Scooter and other Big Machine honchos were holding her first 6 albums hostage.
Our sources say Taylor -- who's getting an award for Artist of the Decade -- plans to weave her anger toward Scooter and Big Machine into her acceptance speech, but there won't be awkward cutaways of Scooter, and that kind of deflates the balloon.
And, there's more intrigue ... Ariana and Taylor are both nominated for Artist of the Year and Favorite Female Artist Pop/Rock at the AMAs. It'll be interesting if Ariana wins since she's squarely in Scooter's corner.
The speeches could be super entertaining.

NHL's Garnet Hathaway Spits On Opponent ... In Crazy On-Ice Brawl
-
Breaking News
A Washington Capitals player hocked a loogie and spit it all over an Anaheim Ducks player in a crazy brawl Monday night ... and the chaotic scene was all caught on video.
The spitter's name was Garnet Hathaway ... and during the second period of the Caps' game against the Ducks in D.C. -- he got into a tussle with some Anaheim players in a wild play behind the Ducks' net.
The Caps were putting it on Anaheim ... and some of the Ducks took issue with Hathaway's physical play -- and started a scrap all while Washington was scoring a goal.
In the video, you can see Hathaway beating the hell of Ducks center Derek Grant ... before another Anaheim player, Erik Gudbranson, grabbed Hathaway as the fight was dying down.
Gudbranson got in a nasty left jab to Hathaway's face ... so, the Caps' fourth-liner responded with a big ol' gob of spit!!
By the way, here's the reason for the match penalty for Garnet Hathaway. pic.twitter.com/e3W97zFSKV
— Anaheim Ducks (@AnaheimDucks) November 19, 2019 @AnaheimDucks
Of course, the saliva spray ignited another wild melee ... and eventually, the refs calmed down the whole scene by ejecting Hathaway.
After the game, 27-year-old Hathaway apologized for the spit ... but said he only did it because Gudbranson got in a cheap shot on him.
"The refs were trying to break it up, and it felt like there was a couple sucker punches thrown, and I got one there quick and then reacted a little emotionally," Hathaway said.
"And, unfortunately, spit came out of my mouth after I got sucker punched and it went onto him."
As for Gudbranson, he was pissed over it all, saying afterward, "That’s about as low as you dig a pit, really ... it's a bad thing to do. It’s something you just don’t do in our game, and he did it."
Unclear if the NHL will punish Hathaway for the spit ... and the winger said only "time will tell" if he'll have to serve a suspension over the altercation.
By the way, Hathaway ended up with the last laugh ... the Caps won the game, 5-2, and are still considered the best team in the NHL this year.

Jay-Z is unhappy with the way Colin Kaepernick handled his workout on Saturday -- our sources tell us Jay felt Colin "turned a legitimate workout into a publicity stunt."

MMA's Jason Knight Explains Insane Bathroom Fight ... Here's What Happened
-
Exclusive
The MMA fighter who beat up TWO guys in a bathroom stall in a WILD brawl caught on video is telling TMZ Sports why he was attacked in the first place ... and it's INSANE!!!
The man at the center of the scuffle in the s**tter is ex-UFC fighter Jason Knight -- who now competes in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.
In other words, HE'S THE WRONG GUY TO FIGHT IN A BATHROOM!
Knight tells us ... he was taking a leak at a club in Mobile, Alabama back in December when he heard two other guys in the bathroom complaining about their wives.
Knight says he jokingly yelled out, "F**k his wife" thinking it would a get a laugh -- but instead, the comment REALLY pissed off the pissers and they bum-rushed him in his stall.
"They snatched my stall door open and started talking crazy to me," Knight says ... and that's when he knew it was time to throw down.
You can see in the video ... Knight's backed up against the toilet, yet still manages to WAIL on the two assailants, landing some solid shots to the head in the process.
"I gave 'em the ol' shoulder shrug and I hit the big guy first. I was trying to put him down and make sure that it was a 1-on-1 fight, instead of a 2-on-1 fight. Either way, I pretty much put him down with the first couple punches. All he wanted to do after that was hug me."
"I think they were expecting me to kinda beg my way out of the stall, and then they beat me to a pulp right there in that little stall. But, I'm not the one to beg my way out. So, I figure, let's fight it out and see what happens."
Oh, in case you wondering ... 27-year-old Knight is 20-6 as a pro-MMA fighter -- and even beat UFC stud Dan Hooker in 2016.
"I fought MMA for years, but before I got into MMA, I was a street fighter, man. So, it wasn't nothing new to me."
"You hit the guy first and you don't stop 'til somebody comes. Somebody came and broke it up. But, I got in more licks than they did in the long run."
FYI, if you like watching Knight hit people ... he's got a (sanctioned) fight Saturday night against Artem Lobov at BKFC 9.
Lesson here ... don't start bar bathroom brawls with a bare knuckle fighter.

Taylor Swift Label Says She Can Play Hits at AMAs ... AOC Slams Scooter's Investors
-
Exclusive
- 2.2K shares
3:01 PM PT -- You can count AOC as being firmly Team Taylor! Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez weighed in and called out Carlyle Group, the equity firm that partially backed Scooter Braun's purchase of Big Machine.
She said, "Private equity groups' predatory practices actively hurt millions of Americans. Their leveraged buyouts have destroyed the lives of retail workers across the country, scrapping 1+ million jobs. Now They're holding @Taylorswift13's music hostage."
In her post yesterday, Taylor pled with Carlyle to help her fight for her master recordings -- but still, AOC might be a bit off the mark here.
Fact is, even if Scooter hadn't purchased Big Machine ... the label would still own Taylor's masters. Taylor's ownership battle seems to be more about the contract she signed with the label.
Taylor Swift has been complaining she's been blocked from performing her early hits during the AMAs because of her old label, Big Machine, but the label tells us she's dead wrong ... Taylor can perform her entire catalog if she wants.
A Big Machine exec tells TMZ, "Taylor Swift can 100% perform all of her catalog, past and present, on the AMAs." The official adds, BM has no issue with her performance going out on the live broadcast, because it recognizes it doesn't have the right to block her. The official says, "Our confusion with her statement is that we have no legal right to stop this and have never tried. She and her team both know this."
Fact is ... Big Machine is correct. Labels can't block artists from performing any songs -- theirs or others -- live, and since the AMAs are airing live ... have at it, Taylor.
BTW ... it's interesting. Taylor performed "Shake it Off" -- a song from her Big Machine catalog -- live on "Good Morning America" on August 22.
The Big Machine exec says, "We are excited for all her fans, as all of the confusion has now been cleared up, and we now welcome Taylor to perform all of her hits on the AMAs."

Popeyes Lines For Chicken Sando Simmer Down ... Folks Over It Or Afraid?!?

Popeyes is no longer a breeding ground for violence over its chicken sandwich ... the mania's finally died down at many locations.
We hit up the store on world-famous Hollywood Blvd., which is normally swarmed just because of tourists ... but there was only a small line of customers. Also, everyone was cool as a cucumber.
It's a far cry from the scenes we saw across the country earlier this month when the fast food chicken joint brought back its massively popular chicken sando, causing insane lines and wild moments of mayhem.
As we reported ... there was a fatal stabbing at a Popeyes in Maryland, and there was a rash of videos showing brawls between employees and customers alike ... all dealing with lines out the door and at the drive-thru.
Question is ... is the bloom off the rose, or are hungry customers just too fearful of potential violence?
We're not trying to start another rush, but if you're spicy chicken curious ... looks like the coast is clear.
Guess George Lopez struck a chord when he told us some fried chicken stuffed between a bun ain't worth risking your life.
Stay safe, America.
