Jim Jones is applauding NYC Mayor Eric Adams' efforts all across the board, including their developing plans to introduce the Mayor's Cup of Dance throughout the city this summer!!!

TMZ Hip Hop linked up with the Harlem Capo a couple times this week and he was completely floored that Mayor Adams not only bumped up their meeting but also had his aides immediately reach out to get the ball rolling on the Mayor's Cup.

Jim's spearheading the dance initiative and is getting all the boroughs involved. He says he spoke to Fabolous and Maino to represent Brooklyn and wants Cardi B and Fat Joe to stand up for the Bronx, and Nas and N.O.R.E. to lead Queens. He's also planning to include artists from younger generations.

Jim and Dipset recently felt a ton of love from young fans at Drake's sold-out Apollo Theater -- and says he so appreciated Drake, Future The Prince and the rest of the OVO team giving them a hero's welcome.

In fact, he says he'd love to return the favor via a new collab. C'mon, Drake!!!

Jim admits rap is a young man's game but says old and new challengers should still fear him in the booth, and promises to back that up on his upcoming album, "Back In My Prime" ... produced by Hitmaka.

The convo switched to fashion when we spotted Jim and Juelz Santana out in the streets ... where they praised Pharrell's new position as men's head designer of Louis Vuitton.

The Diplomats recalled having a session with Cam'ron back in the day, where Pharrell showed up wearing a fur coat -- in the summertime 🥵!!!

Kim Kardashian is applauding Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro's call to abolish capital punishment in his state.

Gov. Shapiro urged state lawmakers to end the death penalty in Pennsylvania in a Thursday announcement, with Kim quote tweeting the Governor's social media post on the subject and adding a trio of applause emojis.

In the thread, Gov. Shapiro says he won't allow Pennsylvania to execute any inmates during his term. He goes even further, calling for the death penalty to be repealed in Pennsylvania.

There hasn't been an execution in Pennsylvania since 1999, but Gov. Shapiro says an execution warrant landed on his desk last week ... and he's the first Pennsylvania Governor to formally ask the State Assembly to abolish the death penalty.

Kim's got a long history of fighting for inmates on death row all across the country ... working to stop their executions. There are 27 states with the death penalty on the books, including, at least for now, Pennsylvania.

Remember ... Kim went to bat for Oklahoma death row inmate Julius Jones in 2020, and the following year Jones had his life spared and instead saw his death sentence commuted to life without parole.

Drake and 21 Savage are no longer stuck in a lawsuit with magazine publisher Condé Nast, the rappers settled the case brought against them over the fake Vogue cover they used to promote their album ... TMZ has learned.

Sources with direct knowledge tell us the duo settled out of court and agreed to pay Vogue's publisher, though the settlement amount is unclear. Condé Nast was seeking at least $4 million in damages.

TMZ broke the story ... back in November, the magazine giant slapped Drake and 21 Savage with a lawsuit over the phony Vogue promos they plastered online and around several cities. The fake Vogue featured the rappers on the cover and it was used to hype their new album, "Her Loss."

The suit said the fake mags were a direct replica of Vogue ... with a doctored pic of editor-in-chief Anna Wintour next to Drake and a fake story.

Drake also used the fake Vogue to promote the album on his social media ... with Drizzy claiming he and 21 Savage would be on newsstands before the Nov. 4 album release. Champagne Papi even shouted out Anna.

As we reported ... after the lawsuit was filed, a federal judge issued a temporary restraining order shutting down all current and future displays of the mocked-up mag for the time being.

Rihanna's unborn child has quite the showbiz resume already ... having been featured in a Super Bowl Halftime Show and, as it turns out, a cover shoot for British Vogue!

Rihanna, her rapper bf A$AP Rocky and their baby boy, all posed for the fashion mag's latest issue -- RiRi's proudly posting the fam's cover shoot and other pics from their beachside shoot.

However, she also revealed more of what was going on behind the scenes during the shoot -- which went down in Malibu back in December -- and naturally, that had fans flooding her comments.

Rihanna says, "How crazy both of my babies were in these photos and mommy had no clue ❤️❤️."

Her point is she had no idea in mid-December that she was expecting baby #2. That's kinda willd, because at that point she'd already been rehearsing like crazy for the Super Bowl. Our sources say she was plugging away more than 24 hours straight, at times ... all while unknowingly pregnant!

As you know, Rih made her pregnancy reveal during her highly-anticipated SB performance ... shocking fans as she took the stage with a baby bump.

It was back in May, Rihanna and A$AP welcomed their first baby, who's quite the model, btw, even if we still don't know his name.

Damar Hamlin is breaking his silence on his controversial Super Bowl jacket ... saying he never meant to offend anybody by wearing it -- and calling it simply "abstract art."

Hamlin rocked the coat -- which featured a crucifix with an altered Jesus head on it -- to the Chiefs vs. Eagles game at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. -- and a day later, Adrian Peterson ripped him for it.

The future Hall of Famer called it blasphemous and disrespectful. He said he later spoke to Hamlin to explain his opinion.

The 24-year-old Buffalo Bills safety finally opened up about the situation on his Twitter page Wednesday afternoon ... saying he had absolutely no intent to disrespect anybody with outfit choice.

"After talking with my parents I understand how my coat could have offended some people," Hamlin wrote.

"It was never my intentions to hurt or disrespect anyone, the coat is abstract art to me. It says Eternal which I am Eternally thankful to my Savior!"

He added, "My beliefs and Relationship with God is not tied to symbolic images."

The NFL player, who's still on the mend after going into cardiac arrest during a "Monday Night Football" game last month, then promised to learn from it all.

Pharrell Williams has certainly served as a fashion icon over the years, but that title will now hold some new weight, cause he's taking over as Louis Vuitton's new men's creative director ... a spot previously held by Virgil Abloh.

The move was announced Tuesday by LV Chairman & CEO Pietro Beccari … who welcomed The Neptunes producer with open arms and praised his past collaborations with the brand.

Pharrell's first collection with LV will debut next June during Men's Fashion Week in Paris.

On last night's episode of Raw, Rollins came out to the ring at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn to confront The Miz ... and it was impossible not to notice his choice of footwear.

Diplo pulled up to Madison Square Garden Monday night and was seen wearing the boots courtside while he took in the Nets-Knicks game in a battle for New York.

Adrian Peterson's furious with the jacket Damar Hamlin wore at the Super Bowl, emblazoned with a crucifix with an altered Jesus head, unloading on the 24-year-old in a social media post, calling it "Blasphemy!!"

24-year-old Hamlin was at the game, sitting with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and Donna Kelce. Before kickoff, first responders who saved Damar's life were honored ... and the 24-year-old defensive back was on the field to watch.

Damar was wearing a $3,150 Takashi Murakami "Travis Jesus" jacket with the crucifix ... and it really ticked Peterson off.

"You should be thanking God son! This is Blasphemy!! We all fall short but cmon man! I find this disrespectful!! #grateful #goddid"

Interestingly, not everyone agrees with the future Hall of Famer, including former star running back Fred Taylor who believes AD handled the situation in the wrong way.

"You should DM him bro…I’m sure he’s listen to your opinion. Posting it doesn’t help anyone. He’s young, young ppl don’t always think before they wear things just like people who wear skulls and other things that doesn’t align with Christian beliefs. Try to reach him," Taylor wrote to Peterson.

But, Adrian, who is a devout Christian, still wasn't having it.

"But this was different! I know young people don’t think at times,older as well! But with everything surrounding his situation!! This isn’t one of those moments where it’s a young guy not thinking!" Peterson wrote back to Taylor.

As for Damar ... he is yet to respond to Adrian.

Adidas is saying it's in a serious financial pinch ... and it's blaming the bind directly on its decision to split from Kanye West.

The athletic brand gave the worrisome update Thursday, saying it's expected to lose a whopping $1.3 billion in sales in 2023 -- and the company says it's because it's unable to sell off all the Yeezy shoes and clothes it still owns.

As we reported, Adidas cut ties with Ye last year after his antisemitic comments and actions ... but the brand announced soon after dropping him that it would continue to sell Kanye's designs, just without the Yeezy name.

Based on the financial report, it doesn't seem like that's working.

The statement says it could lose another $534 mil if it pulls the plug on repurposing the remaining Yeezy stash -- CEO Bjørn Gulden adds, "The numbers speak for themselves. We are currently not performing the way we should." He says 2023 is a year of transition for the brand.

Kim Kardashian had a surprise for fans looking to get their hands on her SKIMS collection in time for Valentine's Day ... she popped up in-person at an L.A. pop-up shop!

The SKIMS founder was on hand Wednesday for the opening at the Westfield Century City shopping -- and, smartly, Kim showed up repping her company's V-Day theme from head to toe.

She wore an all-pink get-up, matching the all-pink pop-up ... and, of course, lots of items in her limited-edition Valentine's Day collection are pink too.

The collection was released a few weeks back and features lots of sheer lace lingerie, catsuits and rhinestone bedazzled gear too.

Kim enlisted some of her pals, like such as Simona Tabasco and Beatrice Grannò from "The White Lotus," as models.

She later wrote about the sweet moment, saying ... "having my own SKIMS pop up store at the Century City Mall means the world to me in so many ways."

The pop-up opened on Wednesday and will continue through February 12.

Sen. Kyrsten Sinema has a warning for DC -- or, at least, that's what her bold dress choice for the State of the Union address seems to scream ... 'cause it didn't do well at the polls.

The Senator from Arizona rocked a bright yellow dress with huge ruffle sleeves Tuesday night for President Biden's speech -- an obvious, eye-grabbing contrast to her fellow members of Congress who largely opted for black and navy business attire.

If she was looking for attention, Twitter gave her plenty.
