The student who says a coach ran up from behind him and choked him with a rolled-up shirt earlier this month is now planning to sue the man and his school ... telling TMZ Sports he's dealing with back pain and several other issues stemming from the scary incident.

14-year-old Michael Moon says it all happened back on June 4 ... after a coach at his Ypsilanti Middle School had seen him "horseplaying" with one of his female classmates.

Moon claims the coach asked him to do pushups due to the interaction -- but when Moon told him he couldn't do them because of a hand injury he had recently sustained ... he says the man became upset.

Illinois basketball star Terrence Shannon Jr. has been found not guilty in his rape trial ... with the NBA prospect being acquitted of all charges on Thursday.

The decision was announced minutes ago ... with the jury coming to its conclusion after just over an hour of deliberation.

Shannon Jr. was accused of sexual misconduct following a trip to Lawrence, Kansas in September ... and was suspended from the Illinois basketball team after being charged with rape and sexual battery.

A California man seeking to lock up the rights to a Donald Trump dig just took a legal L in the highest court in the land ... but he can still sell his shirts with the suggestive phrase.

The Supreme Court just unanimously rejected Steve Elster's bid to trademark the phrase "Trump Too Small" ... which he's been using on t-shirts going for $25 a pop.

Elster, a lawyer in California, tried to trademark the phrase but was rejected by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office ... and then he claimed his First Amendment rights had been violated, appealing the case all the way to SCOTUS ... which ultimately heard the case.

A Virginia state trooper was sent flying to the ground after a drunk driver slammed into her patrol car during a separate DUI stop -- and the whole thing was caught on video.

This all unfolded when Trooper C. Aziz responded to a sedan stopped in a lane on Interstate 495 Tuesday in Fairfax County ... and as you can see from the cop's dashcam, she's at the driver's window attempting to coax her to exit the vehicle or move it to the shoulder.

It's right then when another vehicle hits her patrol car from behind -- which is reported to have been a Jeep Cherokee -- and you can see the trooper get rammed from the front.

One of the Four Tops singers is suing a hospital for racial discrimination -- claiming white staffers sent him for a psych exam 'cause they didn't believe he was famous.

Alexander Morris -- who joined the band in 2019 as a vocalist -- filed suit against Michigan's Ascension Macomb Oakland Hospital ... explaining he was rushed by ambulance last April with chest pain and difficulty breathing, and when he got there he told a nurse and security guard he was a member of the famous Motown band.

In the docs, obtained by TMZ, AM says he wanted the hospital staff to know he was famous because of security concerns with stalkers and fans ... but he says a white security guard and a white ER doctor didn't believe he was famous and figured he was mentally ill.

8:56 AM PT -- Hunter Biden just walked out of court after being found guilty in his gun case -- and he was holding his wife and Jill Biden's hands ... and he seemed to be in relatively good spirits. A sentencing date hasn't been set -- but the judge reportedly noted sentencing typically goes down about 120 days after a verdict is rendered.

Taylor Swift is known for her adoring fans ... but there was an alleged black sheep among Swifties in Scotland over the weekend and the police were forced to take action.

The pop superstar hit the stage for her sold-out Saturday concert at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh – and while she was performing, some 64-year-old man in attendance allegedly committed a perverted crime.

Spencer Dinwiddie is suing a famous car shop in Los Angeles ... claiming the company botched a deal involving a Ferrari and a rare Mustang so badly, it's caused him quite the headache.

In the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ Sports, the NBA star says he first got into biz with Wires Only -- a custom automotive co. that's helped trick out cars for celebs like Bad Bunny, Kim Kardashian and Travis Barker -- back in November 2022 ... when he bought a 1976 Mustang Shelby for $699,000.

Dinwiddie said trouble with the org., though, began a few months later ... when he wanted to purchase a 2022 Ferrari SF90 from the shop's showroom.
