Sarah Palin went running to court this week to get a legal forcefield around her to keep a guy away, who actually has a history of stalking ... tied to none other than her own daughter.

The former Alaskan governor -- and one-time presidential VP candidate -- got a temporary restraining order Wednesday in Palmer, Alaska ... where she told the judge she needed protection against somebody named Peter Paul Ferrero. There's a hearing on this matter scheduled for next month.

It's troubling news for one major reason -- namely, Ferrero has previously been charged and convicted of stalking over an encounter with Bristol Palin 10 years ago ... when she alleged he showed up at her house in Wasilla -- and wouldn't scram when she told him to.

Rhett McLaughlin just got a temporary restraining order against a man whom he claims has threatened seriously violent behavior ... including a terrorist attack on the scale of 9/11.

The comedian/YouTube personality filed the TRO request earlier this month, claiming a man named Josiah Galvin had made repeated threats against him ... with this alleged online correspondence dating back to May 6.

In the docs, obtained by TMZ, Rhett alleges that Galvin threatened to commit a "911 attack" and blow up Rhett's offices -- which he allegedly identified by physical address. Rhett also claims this guy threatened to kill him specifically.

Madonna is being sued by a dude who claims he was blindsided by all the sex stuff during her "Celebration" tour, claiming she should have given a heads-up to folks before they plunked down their hard-earned cash.

Justen Lipeles filed a class action lawsuit, alleging he and others did not get what they bargained for.

He has a litany of complaints ... her concert started more than an hour and a half late, she was lip-syncing during parts of the show, and she had the air conditioning turned off which resulted in sweltering conditions that caused him and others to become physically ill. He says Madonna blew off the heat complaint, telling people to just strip down.

Diddy is missing some key milestones for his kids as his legal troubles mount -- and this week he'll be MIA for the latest one, involving his 17-year-old daughter Chance.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Chance is set to put on her cap and gown Thursday for her graduation from Sierra Canyon School in the L.A. area -- and while we're told other family members are flying in for the ceremony, her dad won't be present.

We're told Diddy's already communicated this news to the family, although he did not offer any exact reason for his absence -- but it can't be all that shocking to them.

Kim Zolciak is accusing her estranged hubby Kroy Biermann of snatching her crap -- again getting cops involved, which was again caught on body cam ... and TMZ's got the video.

In a police report we obtained ... Milton PD says an officer was dispatched to Kim and Kroy's family home -- the same one that's facing foreclosure -- for a domestic disturbance call.

Per the report, Kim called the cops claiming Kroy took her cellphone and locked himself in the master bedroom -- where he currently resides. Since a recent court order instructs the warring spouses to stick to their halves of the house ... Kim told officers she was unable to retrieve her phone from Kroy, and that he wouldn't give it back. O.J. Simpson avoided paying Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman's families millions when he was alive -- and now, from beyond the grave, he might be dodging them again ... TMZ has learned.

While Malcolm LaVergne -- O.J.'s longtime lawyer and now executor of his estate -- made it clear he intended to talk money with Nicole and Ron's respective loved ones ... Malcom says an unforeseen tax debt is creating a new hurdle.

Harvey Weinstein may be facing new criminal charges ahead of his rape retrial -- but whether they come through or not ... the guy's eager to get before another jury to clear his name.

The disgraced Hollywood mogul was in court Wednesday in NYC, where prosecutors told a judge they were weighing the possibility of slapping him with new charges before his scheduled retrial, which is set to get underway sometime in September.

The reason ... the Manhattan D.A.'s office says more women have come forward in the aftermath of his 2020 trial, and they're in the middle of sorting whether their claims can be vetted and legally pursued ... noting there might be a statute of limitations issue at play.

Diddy got blasted by dozens of ex-associates and colleagues in a bombshell report -- but he's still got at least one person in his camp ... one of the singers from his old musical trio.

"Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta" alum and Diddy-Dirty Money member Kalenna Harper was interviewed for Rolling Stone amid their 6-month investigation ... and she was one of the few who defended him, this while also crapping on all the Bad Boy artists who were piling on.

Kalenna not only praised her time working with Diddy, but she scoffed at the Bad Boy alums who blamed him for flatlining their careers ... which was a recurring theme in the RS piece.

11:34 AM PT -- Scottie Scheffler is speaking out following the dropped charges ... saying he has no ill will toward the officer and will look to move past the incident.

"Police officers have a difficult job and I hold them in high regard," Scheffler said. "This was a severe miscommunication in a chaotic situation."

"I appreciate the support during the past two weeks and want to again encourage everyone to remember the real tragedy of May 17. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with John Mills and his family, and I hope to personally offer my condolences now that the case is over. May John rest in peace."

Scottie Scheffler can breathe easy once more ... the criminal charges he was facing in his assault case have just been dropped.

Jefferson County prosecutors filed a motion in court Wednesday afternoon to dismiss the case against the world's best golfer -- and a judge granted it without issue.

In explaining why they wanted to move on from the case, officials said they simply did not have enough evidence to go forward. In fact, they said Scheffler's characterization of the incident as a huge misunderstanding was actually "corroborated" by the evidence they had collected.

The American man who mistakenly brought hunting ammo into Turks and Caicos is breathing a sigh of relief as he heads back home -- 'cause he won't do any major prison time.

Tyler Wenrich -- a Virginia 911 operator and emergency medical tech -- got hit with a hefty $9,000 fine, and has been sentenced to 3 weeks in jail -- but seeing as he's already spent that time in prison, the court's calling it even-steven and recognizing it as time served.

Wenrich initially faced up to 12 years behind bars -- the minimum term for smuggling ammo into the country -- after his guilty plea on two counts of ammo possession for two 9mm rounds on May 21.

Diddy has apparently been a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde character over the years -- either a super nice guy, or allegedly violent and vicious ... this according to a new bombshell report.

Rolling Stone just published a sprawling article about the embattled rap mogul -- detailing his life story and rise to fame starting in the '90s ... now coinciding with his current federal criminal investigation, which could land Diddy behind bars for a long time.

During their 6-month investigation, RS reporters reached out to 300-plus people in Diddy's world and interviewed over 50 former friends, acquaintances, employees, artists and industry insiders. Many of them refused to talk ... but those who did had quite a bit to say.

Body cam footage from Scottie Scheffler's arrest at the PGA Championship earlier this month has just surfaced ... and in the new video, you can hear the world's best golfer admitting he "should have stopped" for the cop who was barking orders at him outside the major event.

The clip was posted on Facebook back on May 23 -- six days after Scheffler was first arrested -- but it just began making its rounds on other social media apps on Wednesday morning.

It shows Scheffler in the back of a squad car minutes after he allegedly ignored a policeman and then dragged him with his vehicle as he attempted to make his way into Valhalla Golf Club to get ready for his early morning tee time.
