The guy who's hawking a Kim Porter book allegedly based on her diary is taking shots at her in his legal battle with Diddy and Kim's sons ... and telling the boys to screw off.

Courtney Burgess and his attorney Ariel Mitchell fired off a nasty response to Christian and Quincy Combs after the brothers sent Burgess and Mitchell a cease-and-desist over the alleged Porter tell-all.

In the legal response, obtained by TMZ, Burgess and Mitchell take issue with Christian and Quincy claiming he is trying to capitalize on Kim's hard-earned fame by selling "Kim Porter Tell It All" ... they say Kim was not an actor or entertainer and her fame was solely tied to being Diddy's "long time paramour."

As we told you ... Caleb was sentenced to 8 years -- 5 years in prison, 3 years of home detention -- followed by 5 years' probation. He will also have to go to counseling and fulfill other requirements as well.

Kanye West made a music video shoot more like a porn set ... according to model Jenn An, who claims he made her gag and choked her until she blacked out.

Jenn, who appeared in cycle 13 of "America's Next Top Model," filed a federal lawsuit against West, alleging the 2010 shoot for his and La Roux's "In For the Kill" music video took a horrible turn after he picked her out of a lineup of women.

One of the three men charged with selling the drugs that killed rapper Mac Miller has been released from federal prison, TMZ has learned.

According to a rep for the Bureau of Prisons ... Cameron James Pettit was sprung from the Federal Correctional Institution Mendota, California, on October 11 after he was arrested in 2019 and charged with conspiring to distribute controlled substances resulting in death. His two co-defendants, Stephen Walter, and Ryan Reavis, were also busted and indicted on the same federal charges.

Under a plea agreement with prosecutors, Walter and Reavis each copped to one count of distribution of fentanyl and were sentenced to around 17 years and 11 years behind bars, respectively.

Kataluna Enriquez -- the first openly transgender Miss Nevada USA -- is speaking out against Congress forcing members to use the bathroom according to biological sex ... calling the whole fight totally disgusting.

UConn's live goat gift to Geno Auriemma on Wednesday night has infuriated animal rights activists ... with PETA telling TMZ Sports it didn't think the scene was cool at all.

Officials for the organization said in a statement to us on Thursday it was apparent to them the goat was under duress as a handler brought it onto the Harry A. Gampel Pavilion court to celebrate Auriemma's 1,217th career victory.

The Cook County State's Attorney joined us on "TMZ Live" for an interview Thursday -- hours after Illinois' Supreme Court overturned Jussie's conviction because he agreed to a plea deal two years earlier -- and, she says she's not surprised by the court's decision.
