We have a possible new couple alert from across the pond ... because we just got photos of Paul Mescal on a date with Gracie Abrams.

Check it out ... the Irish star and the "us." singer are sitting at a tiny table together inside a packed restaurant for what appears to be a dinner date.

Folks who were there say Paul and Gracie broke bread at BRAT Restaurant in London, where they ordered a bunch of small sharing plates.

Seth Binzer -- the lead singer of Crazy Town -- was homeless in the months preceding his death -- according to his friend and sober coach Tim Ryan ... who tells us he was helping Binzer on his sobriety journey over the last few years.

As we reported ... the L.A. County Medical Examiner said Binzer - aka Shifty Shellshock -- died Monday at an L.A. home. According to Tim, Binzer was living in a tent in downtown L.A.'s McArthur Park, after bouncing from house to house following a recent relapse.

He tells us his wife, Jennifer Gimenez from "Celebrity Rehab" ... received a call last week informing her of Seth's whereabouts and Tim was planning to fly to L.A. to help locate Seth in the park and get him back into treatment ... but sadly, it was too late.

A rep for the Kimble County Sheriff's Office tells TMZ ... Kate was arrested and booked Friday at 11 am for violation of a protection order.

Michael explained to us why he was forced to get cops involved ... referencing the video of the showdown with Kate earlier this week, claiming she wasn't supposed to be in his house or driving the car -- both of which she did.
