L.A. Rams' Troy Hill Busted For DUI ... Allegedly Rear Ends Semi
L.A. Rams cornerback Troy Hill was busted for DUI after cops say he hit a semi truck on the freeway.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Sports Hill was driving in a Mercedes on an L.A. freeway around 8 AM Saturday morning. Hill allegedly swerved over multiple lanes and crashed into the back of a semi truck. We're told Hill showed signs of intoxication, was given a field sobriety test and was arrested on the spot.
Our sources say Hill suffered a busted lip during the crash -- but did not need medical attention -- he was released from custody shortly after 1 PM.
We've reached out to a rep for the team ... so far, no word back.

Texas Rangers pitcher Jeremy Jeffress has officially been charged with DWI stemming from his August arrest -- a charge that a carries a MINIMUM of 72 hours in jail.
Jeffress was pulled over in the early hours of August 26th -- and during the stop, cops say he admitted to drinking 3 to 4 cups of Hennessy and Coke before he got behind the wheel.
Also, cops say he peed himself during the arrest.
According to court documents, Jeffress has now been charged with DWI -- a class B misdemeanor -- and in Texas that's a big deal. We're talkin' a minimum of 72 hours behind bars ... and a possible 180 days if the judge throws the book at him (though unlikely).
Jeffress went to rehab after the arrest -- and rejoined the team after roughly a month in treatment.
He's due back in court on Dec. 15th.

L.A. Rams player T.J. McDonald has pled not guilty to his DUI charge stemming from his arrest back in May ... TMZ Sports has learned.
As we previously reported, the 25-year-old safety was busted for a non-alcohol related DUI in Los Angeles on May 10th after he crashed into a parked car.
This week, McDonald's attorney appeared in court and pled not guilty on his behalf.
The judge ordered McDonald to attend two AA meetings a week until his next hearing -- and said he can only attend one meeting per day.
He's due back in court at the end of the month.

TMZ Sports has obtained the mug shot for ex-boxing champ Victor Ortiz -- taken right after he was arrested for DUI on Saturday.
We broke the story ... the 29-year-old former "Dancing With the Stars" contestant was pulled over in California for expired tags on his BMW -- and during the stop, cops suspected he was drunk.
Ortiz -- who is on probation stemming from a 2015 battery conviction -- was arrested and taken to a nearby station where he was booked for driving under the influence.
He has since been released. So far, no comment from his camp.

Lawrence Taylor Charges Elevated In DUI Case ... Faces More Jail Time
Lawrence Taylor's DUI case just went from bad to worse -- because he was just hit with more severe charges ... and now faces QUADRUPLE the jail time ... TMZ Sports has learned.
Taylor was arrested on Sept. 2nd in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida after crashing into a mobile home and a police cruiser while allegedly drunkenly driving his Bentley.
Following the arrest, Taylor pled not guilty to 1 count of DUI -- which carried a max sentence of 6 months in jail.
Now, TMZ Sports has obtained court docs which show prosecutors have substituted the charge with 2 counts of "DUI causing or contributing to injury to person or property."
Each count carries a max sentence of 1 year behind bars.
LT is due back in court next month.

TMZ Sports has obtained the dash cam footage from Austin Seferian-Jenkins' DUI arrest -- and he ALMOST got off scot free ... until he started running his drunken mouth.
The ex-Bucs tight end was pulled over for an improper lane change after cutting off a cop -- and moments after the stop, the officer was going to let ASJ off with a warning.
Then Austin started talking ... and slurring ... and the cop quickly realized the 23-year-old was wasted.

11:10 AM PT -- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have reportedly informed Austin Seferian-Jenkins that they will cut him from the team.
Tampa Bay Bucs tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins was arrested in Tampa early Friday morning after cops say he was drunkenly weaving through traffic and driving at a high rate of speed.
Seferian-Jenkins was stopped by Florida Highway Patrol around 4 AM after cops say he was driving 25 MPH over the speed limit ... and cut off one of their officers.
According to the arrest report, ASJ was agitated, reeked of booze and had glassy eyes and slurred speech. He also refused to take a blood alcohol test.
He was arrested for driving under the influence and was taken to the Hillsborough County Jail. His bail is set $750.
This isn't ASJ's first time arrested for driving drunk ... he was busted for DUI in March 2013.

Ex-NFL QB Troy Smith has struck a plea deal in his drunk driving case, but won't serve any time behind bars ... TMZ Sports has learned.
The former Ohio State star was busted for OVI (operating vehicle while impaired) and weed possession on April 3rd after cops pulled him over and realized he was hammered.
According to court records, Smith pled guilty to willful or wanton disregard and, in exchange, the other charges were dismissed.
He was sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended. We spoke to Smith's lawyer, who said he is going to complete a 3 day driver intervention program instead of going to jail.
The judge also sentenced him to a year of probation and suspended his license for 6 months. He's not allowed to drink any alcohol while on probation.

Iman Shumpert Hit With DUI & Weed Possession Charges
Cleveland Cavs star Iman Shumpert has been hit with charges stemming from his arrest last month in Georgia ... TMZ Sports has learned.
As we previously reported, the 26-year-old guard was pulled over outside of Atlanta on August 10th for a lane change violation.
Police say they did a field sobriety test and determined Shumpert was high. Cops also found a mason jar of marijuana in the car.
According to court records, obtained by TMZ Sports, Shumpert was charged with DUI (drugs), marijuana possession (less than an ounce) and failure to maintain lane -- all misdemeanors. He was also hit with a few traffic citations.
The marijuana charge alone carries up to a year in jail.

L.A. Rams safety T.J. McDonald just took a hit ... the L.A. City Attorney's Office is charging him with non-alcohol related DUI ... TMZ Sports has learned.

The City Attorney charged McDonald with one count of driving under the influence of drugs. Still no word on what the drug or drugs.
He's facing up to 6 months jail time if convicted -- but it's extremely rare for a first-time DUI offender, like McDonald, to get locked up.
Neither the NFL nor the Rams have disciplined him yet.

Abby Wambach says she's divorcing her wife Sarah Huffman -- the woman she famously kissed after winning the 2015 World Cup.
Wambach and Huffman were married in 2013. Huffman is a former soccer player who played on a pro team with Wambach.
Wambach says their marriage had been on the rocks since at least April ... when Abby was arrested for drunk driving.
In related news, Wambach is also opening up about her struggles with alcohol and prescription pill abuse -- saying she's been abusing Vicodin, Adderall and Ambien for years.
"I was stubborn and I was in denial," Wambach told the AP.
"That night getting arrested was one of the best things that has ever happened to me. Because if I don't get so publicly shamed and publicly humiliated, I don't think I wake up."
Wambach was arrested for DUI in Portland, Oregon on April 3rd. She later pled guilty in the case and has been sober ever since.

Lawrence Taylor Pleads Not Guilty to DUI ... In Cop Car Crash
Lawrence Taylor isn't going down without a fight -- pleading NOT GUILTY to DUI in an incident where he allegedly sideswiped a cop car ... despite the fact cops say he essentially confessed at the scene.
As we previously reported, LT was arrested in Palm Beach, Florida on Friday evening after a lane change gone bad -- allegedly hitting a motor home and a cop car in the process.
During Taylor's arrest, cops say they asked how much he had to drink and he replied, "Apparently too much."
Cops also say LT reeked of booze and blew a .084 on a breathalyzer taken 5 hours after the crash.
But despite all of that ... LT's attorney went to court Wednesday and entered a not guilty plea on the NFL legend's behalf to 2 charges -- DUI and not carrying a driver's license.
No word on when Taylor's due back in court.
