"Happy Gilmore" star Christopher McDonald just got the equivalent of a penalty stroke in his DUI case ... TMZ has learned.
According to court records ... the actor pled guilty to driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 or higher stemming from his October 2017 arrest near Lake Arrowhead, CA. He was sentenced to 35 hours of community service, 3-year summary probation, and an alcohol education program which he already completed ... and a day in jail.
The good news -- he got credit for time served in a jail cell following his arrest ... so he doesn't have to spend any additional time behind bars. His other misdemeanor DUI charge was dropped.
We broke the story ... Christopher, best known as Shooter McGavin, got busted after driving his Porsche off the highway, taking out a gas meter and crashing into an embankment.
He then posed for this disheveled mug shot, which could be explained by the fact he was seen chugging beer at an Oktoberfest earlier in the day.
McDonald was also arrested for DWI in 2013 in North Carolina.

Rapper Jim Jones was able to duck jail time in his gun and drug case out in Georgia -- in fact, he was almost able to skate entirely by copping a plea.
According to court docs out of Coweta County, GA -- where Jim was facing 5 felony counts and a misdemeanor from his June 2018 arrest -- Jim was sentenced to 2 years probation and a $1,500 fine, plus minor court costs.
We're told 3 of the 6 charges were dropped, including a felony drug charge and 2 felony counts of possession of a firearm. The other 3 charges will go away if he stays out of trouble while on probation -- all part of a plea deal.
According to the docs, obtained by TMZ, Jim has to stay off booze and drugs for the next couple years and report to his probation officer in GA to get the remaining 3 charges dropped from his record. All things considered, he should count himself lucky.
TMZ broke the story ... Jim and 3 other guys he was riding in a car with were arrested in June after their vehicle led cops on a police chase. Officers say they found weed, oxycodone, Percocet, vape cartridges and 2 loaded pistols inside.
When no one copped to possessing any of the items, cops arrested everyone. Jim was officially charged a few months later ... and was facing decades behind bars.
Talk about flying high.

NFL Fan Suing L.A. Rams ... After Beatdown At Game
-
EXCLUSIVE
- 1.6K shares
You're looking at the NFL fan who's suing the L.A. Rams -- claiming he was brutally attacked by a drunk fan during a 2018 game at the Coliseum in an attack that SHOULD have been prevented.
The man is Peter Bergin -- who claims he was at the Rams-Vikings game on Sept. 27 when a drunk fan approached him and his girlfriend at a concession stand line and started causing problems.
Bergin alleges the wasted guy tried to punch another fan ... and when he stepped in to take the shot for her -- he suffered a broken nose and dislocated knee in the process.
Bergin says the attack was so violent, another person was knocked down in the melee and she slammed her head on the concrete floor.
Now, Bergin is suing the Rams ... saying the organization failed to provide enough security at the stadium to prevent these kinds of incidents.
Bergin's attorney, Barry Novack, tells us they believe the attacker was overserved alcohol, which "caused him to be a danger to those around him."
Bergin also claims the Rams failed to provide him with medical help immediately after the assault.
In his suit, Bergin is demanding unspecified damages claiming he's suffered permanent injuries which have hurt his ability to earn a living.
We've reached out to the Rams for comment ... so far, no word back yet.

Tom Brady Laser Attack Suspect Busted ... Blames Alcohol
Cops say they've found the guy who trained a laser pointer on Tom Brady's face during the AFC Championship game ... and shocker, the guy's a hardcore Chiefs fan.
Bonus shocker ... sources connected to the suspect tell us the guy had been boozing before he broke out the laser.
Remember, TB12 was hit with a green light during the wild 4th quarter of the Jan. 20 game at Arrowhead Stadium -- which the Chiefs eventually lost in overtime.
Cops investigated the situation and eventually cited 64-year-old Dwyan Morgan -- who we're told is a MASSIVE Chiefs fan.
Unclear how authorities were able to track Morgan down -- but we know there were a TON of cameras at the game both for the TV coverage AND for security purposes ... so that probably helped.
Morgan has now been hit with a disturbing the peace citation and faces up to ONE YEAR in jail plus a $1,000 fine if the judge decides to throw the book at him.
Sources connected to Morgan tell us ... his intention was never to hurt anyone, he was just trying to have fun and didn't expect things to blow up the way they did.
We're also told Morgan was drinking before the laser incident -- and we all know beer and lasers don't mix.
So, how does Morgan feel about the situation now? One source close to the Chiefs fan says he feels bad for embarrassing Chiefs Nation, but has no plans to apologize to the Patriots.
In fact, we're told he still hates the Pats and Tom Brady ... passionately and will continue to root against them -- just not from Arrowhead, because he's been banned.
We reached out to Morgan for comment -- but he ain't talkin'.

Patagonia to Anheuser-Busch That's a Bad Brew!!! We're Suing Over Our Name
-
EXCLUSIVE
Now, this is a buzzkill ... Patagonia's pissed Anheuser-Busch jacked its name and slapped it on a beer ... according to a new lawsuit.
The famous winter clothing company claims the King of Beers somehow convinced the U.S. Trademark Office to give A-B the rights to use "PATAGONIA" on beer. As you can imagine, Patagonia insists the beer meisters should never have been granted that right, because its been using the name since the '60s.
Translation: We're working this corner. Beat it!
In docs, obtained by TMZ, Patagonia says Anheuser-Busch is confusing consumers into thinking the clothing company is in bed with the beer giant. For starters, the beer logo is eerily similar to the clothing line -- "PATAGONIA" lettering beneath a mountain silhouette.
According to the suit, A-B's causing even more confusion by recently launching Patagonia beer at ski resorts in Colorado ... served up by a sales team dressed in black jackets with "PATAGONIA" on the chest. They also handed out clothing -- beanies, scarves and t-shirts -- with the beer logo.
Patagonia wants the court to cancel Anheuser-Busch's Patagonia trademark, and it wants to tap into all the profits made from the allegedly jacked logo.

UFC star T.J. Dillashaw has just been hit with a 2-year suspension for failing a drug test before his January 19 title fight against Henry Cejudo.
Dillashaw tested positive for Erythropoietin -- aka EPO -- which is a synthetic hormone that's considered a cleaner alternative to blood doping, the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency has announced.
EPO is often used by athletes to increase oxygen transport and aerobic power, according to USADA.
Dillashaw has accepted the suspension -- which means he won't be eligible to fight until Jan. 2021.
Dillashaw provided the dirty sample on Jan. 18 -- one day before the fight.
What's even worse for T.J. ... he lost the fight against Cejudo in a 1st-round stoppage.
The 33-year-old fighter had issued a statement on the situation last month saying he was "disappointed" and was trying to figure out what happened.
"While words can't even begin to express how disappointed I am at this time, please know that I'm working with my team to understand what has occurred and how to resolve this situation as quickly as possible," Dillashaw said at the time.
After the positive test, Dillashaw relinquished his UFC bantamweight title so he could "deal with the matter."
Before the Cejudo fight, Dillashaw had defeated Cody Garbrandt twice.

NHL's JT Brown Arrested ... Two Drunken Altercations Before Game
-
Exclusive Details
NHL forward JT Brown was arrested just hours before his Minnesota Wild team took on the Dallas Stars on Saturday ... 'cause cops say he was involved in TWO drunken altercations.
The Wild stud -- who was the first-ever NHL player to protest during the national anthem -- went out partying in Dallas the night before his team was set to play in Big D.
The problem ... cops say he got wasted -- and caused such a big scene with employees and patrons inside a local bar -- he was booted off the premises.
But, cops say JT later returned around 2 AM ... and drunkenly got into it AGAIN with bar employees -- and this time, cops say they decided to arrest him.
We're told JT was processed for public intoxication, a Misdemeanor C violation.
One of the crazier parts of the story?? The Wild kept Brown out of its game Saturday night but said it was because he was battling an illness.
For his part, Brown released a statement, saying, “I would like to apologize to the Minnesota Wild, my teammates, family, and fans for the poor decision I made."
"I went out the night before our last game in Dallas, put myself in a bad situation, and take full responsibility for my actions. I have learned from my mistake and will make sure it does not happen again."
JT scored 3 goals in 56 games for the Wild this season.

Tekashi69 Here's My Plan ... To Get Sprung Outta Jail Early
Tekashi69 thinks he will see blue sky again -- outside of prison walls -- before the end of this year, but he's gonna need the very same people he snitched on to help him out.
Tekashi and his former manager, Shotti, have already pled guilty in their federal racketeering cases. However, there are still several other defendants tied to the case who are scheduled to go to trial this September.
The hope for Tekashi and his attorneys is that all of the others also take deals -- given the overwhelming evidence against them -- so there would be no need for a trial at all.
Here's why that could be huge. Tekashi's attorney, Dawn Florio, tells us if the other men strike plea deals and the trial is called off ... they'll ask a judge to grant 6ix9ine time served -- he's been locked up since November. If the judge grants it, he'd walk free because he's fulfilled his obligations under his cooperation agreement with authorities.
It's a long shot, but it's probably the only chance he's got.
So far, only one of the other defendants has filed a motion to dismiss the charges -- making it seem like he's willing to drag the whole thing out until trial -- but Florio is hopeful a plea deal could happen at any time.
If Tekashi's plan works, though, it would be one helluva swing -- considering he's facing 47 years to life in prison.
