Matt Damon & 'Office' Star -- SURROUNDED by Guns

Matt Damon and "Office" star John Krasinski got in touch with their American roots on Wednesday -- hitting up a guitar/gun/grocery-selling gas station in Upstate New York. Seriously, the place exists.

It's called Dick's Country Store & Music Oasis in Churubusco, NY -- and we're told, the Hollywood duo stopped in to scope the place out for an upcoming film project.

As far as we know, no guns were purchased. America! F**k yeah!

'Hangover' Face Tattoo To Be Un-Tyson'd for DVD

Warner Bros. claims Ed Helms' face tattoo will be digitally altered when "The Hangover 2" goes to DVD -- after the artist who designed the infamous Mike Tyson tat sued the studio for ripping him off.

The studio filed new docs on Monday in their legal battle with S. Victor Whitmill -- who inscribed the tribal face tat on Tyson back in 2003 -- claiming, "Warner Bros. does not intend to make any use of the allegedly infringing tattoo after the film ends its run in the theaters because Warner Bros. will digitally alter the film to substitute a different tattoo on Ed Helms’s face."

As we previously reported, Whitmill sued the studio back in April claiming copyright infringement -- but a judge refused to block the movie's release.

Whitmill has been threatening to take the matter to trial ever since -- but now that Warner Bros. plans to alter the offending ink ... the studio insists a trial won't be necessary.

Grammer Judge: Keep Vacation Homes Private!

The judge in the Kelsey Grammer/Camille Grammer child custody war just ruled ... both Kelsey and Camille should keep friends and relatives from living in their various vacation homes -- rich people problems.

Kelsey and Camille have homes in the Hamptons, Hawaii and other places. Camille's lawyer, Neal Hersh, told the judge he had concerns about privacy for the kids, thus the need to keep others from living and snooping in the vacation homes.

The judge ruled the only way third parties can live in the vacation homes is with the written consent of both Kelsey and Camille.

Kelsey's lawyer, Lance Spiegel, has requested that the judge speed up the process of having Kelsey, Camille and their two kids interviewed by a child evaluator so the custody trial can begin.

Both Camille and Kelsey have asked for primary custody. Kelsey tried settling the dispute by taking their son to Chicago to live with him and leaving their daughter behind in California with Camille, but Camille balked at the notion.

My Partner Screwed Me Over TV Show -- In a Hot Tub!

A man who claims he and another guy co-created the TV show "White Collar" while soaking in a hot tub says his hot tub partner screwed him, and he's filed a lawsuit that was inspired by the movie "The Social Network."

Travis Romero claims he and Jeff Eastin often channeled their creative juices in Jeff's San Fernando Valley hot tub ... and it all came together one day when they concocted the plot for "White Collar."

The two have a lot of history ... meeting 20 years ago when they worked as camp counselors at the YMCA.

But friendships often end, and according to Romero, he crashed and burned when Eastin allegedly stole the glory and the financial fruits of the show right out from under him. Eastin is listed as the sole creator in the show credits.

Romero stewed over the alleged backstab for more than a year, but was inspired to take action after seeing "The Social Network." According to the lawsuit, "As he watched the movie Romero realized that Eastin took advantage of him much like Mark Zuckerberg took advantage of Eduardo Saverin."

Romero wants unspecified damages.

We called Eastin's rep. So far, no comment.

'Lost' Creator to January Jones: You Suck at Acting!

Another Hollywood bigshot is ripping January Jones in public -- this time, "Lost" co-creator Damon Lindelof went after the actress for "sucking" at her role in the new X-Men flick.

Lindelof went to his Twitter page the other day and went off on Jones -- who plays Emma Frost in "X-Men: First Class" ... writing, "Emma Frost's THREE mutant powers: Telepathy, Transformation to Solid Diamond and last but not least, Sucking at Acting."

Just last month, Zach Galifianakis went after Jones in public -- claiming she was a total A-hole to him at a party the first time they met.

Katie Couric Officially Gets ABC Talk Show

We told you about it last month, and ABC announced it today. Katie Couric will get a daytime, syndicated talk show on ABC.

The network announced the deal today, unveiling the plan which puts Katie in as host and producer. We've learned Katie's mentor -- former "Today" show EP Jeff Zucker -- will be the Executive Producer.

As we reported, Katie will make $20 million, mostly for the talk show but there's a relatively small amount for contributing to various ABC news shows.

Sources tell TMZ, the likelihood is ... Katie will get the 3 PM time slot when the show debuts in September, 2012. That's the coveted slot Oprah owned for a quarter century in many key markets.

Matt Lauer will NOT be part of the show.

Cheryl Cole Gone From 'X Factor' FOREVER!!!

Cheryl Cole is officially gone from "X-Factor" -- this, after Fox and Fremantle tried to resuscitate her deal.

As TMZ reported, FOX and Fremantle had fired Cole as a judge on the show because she lacked chemistry with the other judges, but Fremantle and Fox had a change of heart after figuring out how much money they would eat by paying Cheryl her fee -- so they tried getting her back.

The overture didn't work, so Nicole Scherzinger -- who was originally picked as the host -- will now take Cheryl's place as a judge. Nicole's role was in limbo while Fox and Fremantle were trying to get Cheryl back as a judge.

The new host is Steve Jones, a former model and UK TV personality.

Sounds like a mess.

Witherspoon ATTACKS Kardashian ... and Lively?

OK, she didn't use her name -- but it was obvious at the MTV Movie Awards last night, Reese Witherspoon HATES everything Kim Kardashian stands for -- from the sex tape to the reality show.

1-vfsxp1xe

As Reese accepted the "Generation Award," she told the crowd, "I just wanna say to all the girls out there, it's cool to be bad, I get it ... but it's also possible to make it in Hollywood without a reality show."

She added, "When I came up in this business, if you made a sex tape, you were embarrassed and you hid it under your bed and if you took naked pictures of yourself on your cell phone, you hide your face."

Was that a shot at Blake Lively?

Ron Ron will work with a team of mental health experts and life coaches to help the parolees take control of their lives while teaching them life lessons through basketball.

"We're gonna put them through an intensive experience," Ron says ... adding, "Give them hope and confidence to change their lives."

We're told the production company, 44 Blue Productions, hasn't pitched the show to any networks yet ... but they're "very high on it."

Jimmy Fallon A Case of the Roadhouse Blues

Jimmy Fallon doesn't limit his singing to his talk show -- he busts out tunes in hotel bars, too!

The "Late Night" host was videotaped last week belting out "Roadhouse Blues" by The Doors at the swanky bar at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills.

Let it roll, Jimmy, roll.

Kid Rock Roast -- In Danger of Not Going Down

Comedy Central's Roast of Kid Rock is looking like it will NOT happen as scheduled -- and it's all a matter of location, location, location.

During an event last week covered by our friends at Punchline Magazine, Kid told reporters that he would only be a part of the event if it went down in his native Detroit.

According to our sources, Comedy Central looked into the possibility of holding the event in Motor City, but the financials didn't work.

We're told there is no way the event will happen on August 14 as was previously announced, but the network is hoping something can be worked out.

'Ice Road Trucker's' Wife: He Didn't Beat Me!

The wife of "Ice Road Truckers" star Gregory Boadwine tells TMZ the incident that led to Gregory's arrest this week was "not as violent" as it was made out to be ... and she stands by him 100%.

As TMZ first reported, Boadwine was arrested early Friday morning in Florida after an alleged altercation with his wife Crystal. According to the report, Boadwine (who was on season four of the show) grabbed her by the throat and shoved her into a door.

Crystal tells us she was not the one that called the Sheriff's Department -- her ex-husband did. She says the ex did so because of what her 9-year-old son saw, but says the kid "didn't see the entire incident nor understands completely what was going on."She says very clearly, "I am not in fear of my husband, nor is he in fear of me."

Boadwine himself tells TMZ the argument was heated, but never physical, and that the son was in the next room at the time.

Boadwine was released from jail yesterday and is scheduled to meet with Child Protective Services on Monday.

'X Factor' to Cheryl Cole: For Money, Not Love

Sources at "X Factor" tell TMZ ... FOX and Fremantle (the producers of the show) are trying to get Cheryl Cole back on the program, a week after giving her her walking papers ... but it's more about the bottom line than about loving Cheryl.

Our sources say when producers told Cheryl she wasnt right for the U.S. version of "X Factor," they tried to put her on the UK version of the show. Cheryl's managers wanted £2.5 million and producers thought it was too much, so the deal went south.

We're told Cheryl was due to get paid around $1.5 million for the U.S. show -- about what Paula Abdul and LA Reid are making -- but she has not decided whether to accept and come back.

The whole situation becomes even messier when you take into account Nicole Scherzinger -- who was originally hired as a host, but was moved to being a judge when Cheryl was axed. Her position on the show now seems to be up in the air.

Our sources say Cheryl's deal with the U.S version is "pay or play" -- meaning she gets paid whether she does the show or not. We're told execs at FOX -- and especially at Fremantle -- dont want to lose the money ... so it's better to have her on the show than not.

'Jersey Shore' Cast In the Dark on Season 5 Plans

Sources close to the "Jersey Shore" cast tell TMZ ... the cast does NOT know they are scheduled to shoot the next season of the show ASAP -- and it could mean HUGE problems for the future of the show.

According to our sources, the cast hasn't been told the plan is to shoot season five right after they are done shooting four -- even though MTV announced it yesterday. We're told 495 Productions will break the news either today or tomorrow.

Our sources say the cast was originally told the next season of the show would shoot in August. As a result, we're told the cast members booked club appearances for July -- and those are HUGE money makers.

According to our sources, the cast will leave Italy in late June and go straight to Seaside Heights -- which is a problem ... since no one packed enough clothing.

We're told the cast would rather take a break and NOT go straight into shooting. If MTV and 495 don't budge ... our sources say the cast could ban together like they did last year and stage a revolt.

Paris Pitches Fit After Getting Skewered by Babwa

Paris Hilton couldn't handle some tough questions from Barbara Walters on "The View" this week -- and threw a tantrum backstage after it was all said and done.

Walters went after Paris for bitching about having to do 200 hours of community service. And Babs scoffed at Paris' claim she wanted to help women by doing charity work. Walters wondered aloud why Paris didn't show any of her charity work on her show: "Why not present that side of yourself, if indeed it exists?"

After the segment, Paris and her dad, Rick, berated producers backstage over the tone of the interview, so says the NY Post. A rep for the show confirmed the incident, but Paris was mum.

Paris had reason to feel blue. The ratings for "The World According to Paris" -- not so hot.
