According to police, Stacy flew from Nashville to Orlando "with the intention of turning himself in," and was taken into custody by the Orlando PD without incident.
Ex-NFL player Zac Stacy was arrested in Florida and is currently in jail ... just days after he savagely beat his ex-girlfriend in front of their 5-month-old son, TMZ Sports has learned.
We broke the story ... 30-year-old Stacy repeatedly punched Kristin Evans, the mother of his baby boy in the head multiple times before picking her up and throwing her into a television -- all while she begged him to stop and the baby cried.
When Stacy -- a 5th round draft pick out of Vanderbilt in 2013 -- finally stopped attacking, he fled the scene. Evans called 911 and cops say they arrived in under 2 minutes, but the running back was long gone.
On Thursday, officials announced they were charging Stacy with 2 felonies ... aggravated assault and criminal mischief.
Authorities believed Stacy left Florida ... where the incident occurred Saturday afternoon. Still, they were concerned enough about Evans' safety to move her to an "undisclosed location."
Stacy is currently in Orange County (FL) Jail. Orlando PD is listed as the arresting agency, according to jail records.
If convicted, Stacy could face over 15 years in prison.

Zac Stacy's ex-girlfriend claims the savage beating she endured at the hands of the father of her child was NOT an isolated incident ... 'cause the woman says the ex-NFL RB beat her on numerous occasions.
The woman, Kristin Evans, provided TMZ Sports photos of injuries she says were inflicted by the former NY Jets back on August 15, 2021 ... when she claims he flew into a violent rage over rent money.
"He physically assaulted me several times because he wanted the money back he gave me for our rent," the woman wrote in a restraining order application, filed Monday in Florida.
She continued ... "He punched my legs, slapped me, picked me up by my arms, and threw me into my window, which broke. I had glass in my feet that I removed myself."
Evans says she called the cops ... but downplayed the event, telling them they were involved in a verbal argument.
In reality, she says the beating she received in August was actually worse than Saturday -- which was caught on video.
The photographs from the alleged incident are incredibly disturbing ... and show large bruises and cuts on the woman's body.
And, sadly, there's more. Evans says she was also victimized on September 27 ... when Stacy slapped her in the face. The woman tells us she wanted to press battery charges over the alleged incident.
The reason for going public? Evans says she fears for her safety ... and doesn't want anyone else to endure what she's had to go through.
In the docs, she says "[Zac] has escalated violence since May while I was pregnant. He also assaulted me just weeks before our son was born. He will not stop. He will kill me and he feels justified in his actions."
FYI, cops tell us they've moved Evans to an undisclosed location for her safety.
Following Saturday's attack, officials have charged Stacy with two felonies ... aggravated assault and criminal mischief. He's facing more than 15 years in prison if convicted.
Stacy was arrested Thursday night in Florida by Orlando PD ... and is currently in county jail.
The RB was a star at Vanderbilt ... before being drafted by the Rams in the 5th round of the NFL Draft. He went on to play for St. Louis and the NY Jets before injuries shortened his career.

"I don't know why his friends are hiding him," the woman said in a video message Thursday. "If you see him -- he drives a white Kia Optima, a 2020 I believe or a 2021."
"Please, again, if you see him or you know of any location that he might be, please turn him in or call your local authorities."

Julius Jones Will Not Be Executed ... Gets Life Without Parole
11:14 AM PT -- Kim just posted about Julius' situation, thanking Gov. Stitts for his decision, she also revealed she spent a lot of yesterday on the phone with Jones, who she says refused anxiety medication offered to prisoners who are to be executed, saying, "... he said he has a clear conscience and that gives him peace knowing he is innocent and did not want to be drugged up."
She continues, "He also wanted me to pass a few messages along that were really important to him. The most important is that you have to always make sure you are doing the right thing. Julius was hanging out with the wrong crowd and that landed him in the position he’s in today."
Julius Jones -- the man who Kim Kardashian has fought for -- will have his life spared, but remain behind bars.
Julius, whose case has gained national attention, will NOT be executed as was scheduled today ... instead, Oklahoma's Gov. Kevin Stitt is commuting Jones' death sentence to life without parole.
Stitt says he made the decision "after prayerful consideration and reviewing materials presented by all sides of this case."
The governor's decision falls in line with the recommendation from the Parole Board, who said Julius should not be executed but rather serve out a life sentence behind bars.
As you know ... JJ was charged and convicted for first-degree murder back in 2002, with prosecutors pinning him to the shooting death of 45-year-old Paul Howell.
Julius always maintained his innocence ... and there's been a lot made of the weak evidence in the case linking him to the murder, as well as racially charged undertones.
Kim's lobbied and advocated on Julius' behalf for a while, most recently reaching out to the Jones fam and shedding light on where things stood on his case.
Now, Julius is having his life spared.

Jacob Blake Rittenhouse Would Be Imprisoned ... If He Wasn't White

Jacob Blake says race is absolutely at play in Kyle Rittenhouse's trial, arguing ... if the guy was not white, he'd very likely be thrown in prison without a second thought.
The man whose police-involved shooting sparked the Kenosha protests where Rittenhouse opened fire spoke to TMZ about the case -- and like many observing the trial, he believes the 18-year-old is about to skate due to white privilege.
We'll let JB speak for himself here, but the bottom line is ... if Rittenhouse were a POC, he'd swiftly be found guilty and wouldn't be hailed a hero.
As for why Blake thinks race is a factor -- he points to the now-infamous photo of Rittenhouse posing with guys in a bar after he'd posted bond, and flashing what many perceived as a white supremacy sign.
You gotta watch how he characterizes this because he's not labeling Rittenhouse as good or bad, but more as someone who had no business inserting himself in the Kenosha protests.
According to Jacob, all the aftermath following his shooting -- Kyle's saga, as well as the destruction in Kenosha -- is an unfortunate byproduct of what he considers the larger, unresolved, issues between police and POC.
Regardless of the jury's verdict for Rittenhouse ... Jacob says he hopes people will refrain from more rioting.
One final thing ... Jacob gave us an update on how he's doing personally, with his health, and otherwise. Sounds like he's getting unsolicited attention and celebrity, but in reality, he says he doesn't wanna be the poster child for any of this.
Also ... he says he forgives Officer Rusten Sheskey for shooting him 7 times -- and harbors no ill will toward him or his family.

Dolph was gunned down Wednesday outside a Memphis cookie store, and just a couple hours later, swarms of police cars were stationed outside Prive restaurant -- about 10 miles from where Dolph was killed.
It's currently unclear if there was an actual threat made against the restaurant, or if cops are just being proactive in preventing any possible payback. Dolph's killer is also unknown at this time, and there have been no public connections to Yo Gotti surrounding his murder.
A source at the cookie store where Dolph was shot told us a vehicle pulled up and opened fire, striking and killing the rapper.
As for their beef, the feud between Young Dolph and Yo Gotti has been percolating for years, including a tweet Dolph rattled off in 2016 saying, "Bra went from bein my #1 fan and wanting to sign me to bein my BIGGEST HATER." He also referred to Yo Gotti as "lame" multiple times during an interview with "The Breakfast Club."
Dolph's attorney and friend, Scott Hall, told us the rapper was scheduled to hand out turkeys Wednesday and stopped at the cookie store where he was killed before the charity event.
Dolph leaves behind two kids and was only 36.
