Karen Read may be tried again for the death of her boyfriend after the judge declared a mistrial, but murder charges may not be on the table ... because according to the defense, the vote on the murder charge was 12 - 0, IN FAVOR OF ACQUITTAL!

Read's lawyer, Alan Jackson, has just filed docs arguing prosecuting Read for 2nd-degree murder a second time would amount to double jeopardy. Shockingly, when the judge declared the mistrial, she didn't say anything about the jury's vote on the murder charge.

We've also learned the jury was unanimous in favor of acquittal on the charge of leaving the scene of an accident where there was injury or death. The only charge on which the jury was deadlocked was vehicular manslaughter, where the jury apparently voted 9 - 3 in favor of guilt.

Bryan Kohberger allegedly entered a house with a knife and slaughtered 4 people when 6 people and a dog were in the 3-level home, so how could a first-time killer pull that off?

According to prosecutors, Kohberger first killed Kaylee Goncalves and Madison Mogen on the third floor of the house, then went downstairs and killed Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin. He then allegedly encountered one of the 2 survivors in the house but didn't harm her, and then he left.

Autumn Daly -- a contestant on "Big Brother 2" way back in 2001 -- has been arrested on a theft charge in Texas ... TMZ has learned.

Police arrested Daly last month in Lewisville, TX on an outstanding warrant for theft. Cops say they found AD after they tracked her car to a local retail store she owns called Encore! Encore!

An officer asked her if she had any warrants, and they say she confirmed she did. Police claim Autumn said she's in the process of taking care of the warrants but hadn't yet -- so, they arrested her.

Glen "Big Baby" Davis is clearly not worried about his impending prison sentence ... the ex-NBA star was all smiles this week -- telling TMZ Sports he thinks it might actually lead him to the body of his dreams.

Bodybuilder Simeon Panda is the latest to fall victim to the rash of celebrity burglaries in Los Angeles ... TMZ Sports has learned the star bodybuilder's crib was recently hit by multiple thieves.

Our sources tell us the L.A. home of 38-year-old Panda, a YouTuber and competitive bodybuilder, was broken into by three masked men in mid-June ... with the burglars breaking in using a back glass door.

Fortunately, Simeon, who wasn't home at the time (or perhaps fortunate for the burglars), had an alarm and security cameras ... and he was quickly alerted to the intrusion. Cops were called, however, despite a quick response, the men were already gone by the time police arrived.

Elisa Jordana's putting her legal troubles behind her ... copping a plea in her battery case... but officials will take a look at her mental health as part of the deal.

The former 'Howard Stern Show' star took a plea deal back in May ... receiving 12 months probation, 45 hours of community service, anger management courses and a small fine.

The judge also ordered Jordana to undergo a mental health evaluation and receive any treatment the evaluator recommends.

"16 and Pregnant" star Whitney Purvis is behind bars again ... after a judge found she failed to pony up for child support payments.

New documents obtained by TMZ show ... Whitney's arrest was ordered Tuesday by a Floyd County, GA judge who found her in contempt of court over failing to pay her ordered child support.

We've learned Whitney has since been booked and is currently in custody -- where she has been ordered to serve 48 hours in jail.

Former NFL player Daniel Muir and his wife were arrested this week ... after their son -- who had been missing -- was found safe.

According to Indiana State Police, Muir's son, 14-year-old Bryson, was located after a SWAT team raided Muir's home in Indianapolis at around 6 AM on Wednesday.

A Silver Alert was first issued when Bryson went missing after visiting his grandmother's home in Cleveland, Ohio on June 16. The grandmother told police Bryson had a black eye and busted lip before his mother, Kristen, picked him up.

The photo, taken outside a Smith & Wollensky restaurant in Boston, has created a big stir around the high-profile case since it was taken on June 27. The jury was in the middle of deliberating ... deciding whether Karen had indeed murdered her police officer boyfriend John O'Keefe.

But, a source close to Karen tells TMZ ... the image is being taken out of context, as it was actually an innocent moment of celebration -- and there was "nothing to this other than goofing around."

Oklahoma State star running back Ollie Gordon II, who scored 21 rushing touchdowns last season, was arrested over the weekend ... after authorities said they believed he was driving drunk.

In court documents, obtained by TMZ Sports, an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper wrote they pulled over Gordon's black 2024 Cadillac at around 2:30 AM on Sunday ... after they say they saw it swerving and speeding on a local interstate.

During the ensuing stop, the trooper said in the docs "an odor associated with an alcoholic beverage" emanated from Gordon's ride ... so they conducted an interview with the 20-year-old football player.

NBA veteran Cameron Payne was placed in handcuffs and thrown behind bars last month because he repeatedly refused to give officers his real name during a police investigation after he dialed 911 ... at least, that's what cops are saying.

According to a Scottsdale Police Department incident report, obtained by TMZ Sports, Payne called cops at around 2:44 AM on June 14 after getting into an argument with his girlfriend in Arizona.

But, cops say when officers arrived on the scene, he and his GF told them police services were no longer desired ... as their quarrel was merely a verbal one, and they had calmed down since.

A Florida carjacker abducted a woman’s baby and cat while stealing her vehicle, then abandoned the tot on the side of the road and got arrested days later.

35-year-old Willio Petioma was handcuffed Monday after officials at the Broward County Sheriff's Office received an anonymous tip that led to his capture.

Petioma was charged with kidnapping, carjacking, interfering with custody of a minor and illegal use of a credit card.

Andrew Jury -- famous for being one of the grooms on the first season of "Married at First Sight New Zealand" -- is dead.

Andrew died Thursday while he was in custody at Mt Eden Corrections Facility in Auckland, New Zealand ... his father, Roy Jury, told The New Zealand Herald.

The cause of death is unclear ... and prison officials reportedly rushed to save Andrew's life.

A rep for the Kimble County Sheriff's Office tells TMZ ... Kate was arrested and booked Friday at 11 am for violation of a protection order.

Michael explained to us why he was forced to get cops involved ... referencing the video of the showdown with Kate earlier this week, claiming she wasn't supposed to be in his house or driving the car -- both of which she did.
