Charlamagne Tha God NBA YoungBoy's 'Fatherhood' Take ... Not a Good Look For Black Men

NBA YoungBoy has 11 children, but admits he's "not big on fatherhood" -- a complete oxymoron if you ask Charlamagne Tha God.

CTG slapped YB with the latest "Donkey of the Day" Wednesday morning for the rapper's eye-popping comments to Bootleg Kev ... and firmly believes the Louisiana rapper is perpetuating the stereotype that Black men don't care for their children.

YoungBoy revealed he was only appearing to be a "family man" because of the sit-down, and doubled down that he wouldn't sugarcoat his words for the sake of sensationalism.

Charlamagne compared the flippant comments to Nikola Jokic's sentiments on being an international superstar ... but you can't be lukewarm when it comes to raising humans!!!

He suggested the 24-year-old needed a dose of Jay-Z wisdom, and criticized him using lyrics from Hov's Beyonce apology letter track "Family Feud" -- "A man that don't take care of his family can't be rich.”

Bottom line, YoungBoy's not dead or in jail, and has the financial means to be present in his children's lives ... and Charlamagne thinks this teachable moment is a doorway to him changing his position on fatherhood.

Jonathan Majors Defends Using Coretta's Name ... Utmost Respect For Her!!!

Jonathan Majors is explaining why he keeps bringing Coretta Scott King's name into his relationships ... telling us Martin Luther King's widow is an inspiration.

The actor invoked Coretta's name in his first sit-down interview since being found guilty of assault and harassment, drawing the ire of Coretta and MLK's daughter ... and now he's responding to pushback.

Jonathan tells TMZ ... "My intention was to convey my utmost respect for Coretta Scott King, her achievements, and both her personal legacy and the one she shares with her husband, Dr. Martin Luther King."

In his ABC interview, Jonathan praised girlfriend Meagan Good for sticking by his side ... saying, "She's an angel ... she's held me down like a Coretta. I'm so blessed to have her."

As we reported ... Dr. Bernice King seemingly called out Jonathan online after the interview aired, posting ... "My mother wasn't a prop."

Now, Jonathan tells us Coretta "is a great woman, a very important figure in American and world history, and someone both Meagan and I are inspired by and deeply admire."

Jonathan's trial also included audio clips where he's telling his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari to be more like Coretta and Michelle Obama. Jabbari's the woman he was convicted of assaulting and harassing.

FOLLOW THEIR EXAMPLE!!!

Sounds like Jonathan's might just keep Coretta's name in his mouth ... 'cause he deeply respects her. Unclear how her kin are going to feel about that, though.

Food Network's Darnell Ferguson 'SuperChef' Allegedly Attacked Estranged Wife ... New Court Docs Claim

update

11:00 AM PT -- TMZ has obtained legal docs spelling out what allegedly happened and when as it pertains to the 'SuperChef's arrest ... and what we've discovered are very disturbing accusations.

Per the arrest warrant, Darnell Ferguson's estranged wife called 911 to report he'd broken into her Louisville home on Jan. 2, and proceeded to allegedly attack her. The alleged victim claims once Ferguson was inside, he started punching walls and eventually lunged at her and grabbed her by the neck ... allegedly choking her out and threatening to kill her.

She told police she eventually lost consciousness, and when she came to ... she claims Ferguson then ripped off her shorts and demanded to see her privates. His estranged wife alleges he then said she was his and nobody else's ... making her fear he'd sexually assault her.

In the end, it doesn't sound like that occurred ... because the woman told cops he left, but not before allegedly snatching her credit/debit cards and ID. Law enforcement says they observed visible injuries on her, which they say was enough to warrant the charges.

Ferguson has already been arraigned, and he's pleaded not guilty -- with his bond set at $10,000.

Darnell "SuperChef" Ferguson cooked up his own arrest in Kentucky ... getting hit with a slew of serious offenses.

Ferguson was booked into the Louisville Metro jail on Tuesday afternoon on two felonies – burglary and strangulation, a rep for the correctional facility told TMZ.

He also faces five misdemeanors – assault, menacing, criminal mischief, terroristic threatening and theft receipt of stolen credit and debit card.

We don't know yet the circumstances surrounding his legal troubles, but we've reached out to the Louisville Metro PD for answers.

According to his profile on the Food Network website, Ferguson is a "celebrity chef, restauranteur and entrepreneur" who currently hosts "Superchef Grudge Match" and shares recipes and videos on their social media.

Israel Adesanya Hit With 6-Month Driving Ban, Fine ... In New Zealand DUI Case

Israel Adesanya was just punished for his DUI in New Zealand ... but he left the courtroom apparently in a good mood -- 'cause things could've been a whole lot worse for the UFC star.

The 34-year-old fighter appeared in Auckland District Court on Wednesday morning regarding allegations that he had driven drunk in the city back on Aug. 19.

Police said that after stopping Adesanya, he told them he had two cocktails before getting behind the wheel. Cops added he had a blood alcohol reading of 87 milligrams per 100 millilitres -- well over the legal limit of 50 milligrams per 100 millilitres.

He was facing a punishment of up to three months behind bars for it. But, he and his attorney asked for a lighter sentence.

Adesanya's lawyer claimed a conviction in the case would affect his sponsorship deals -- potentially costing him six figures. He also argued that a conviction could prevent Adesanya from traveling to Canada for UFC 297 later this month.

Fortunately for Adesanya, the judge did appear to go easy on him -- as according to Stuff.co.nz, he opted not to convict the former champ. But, he did hit The Stylebender with a six-month driving ban and a $1,500 fine.

Adesanya had previously apologized for his role in the case ... saying in a statement, "I am disappointed with my decision to drive. It was wrong. I know that people might follow me and I want them to know I do not think this behaviour is acceptable."

Adesanya is now expected to be free and clear to be Octagon-side when Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis fight on Jan. 20 in Toronto.

Congresswoman Lauren Boebert Ex-Hubby Jayson Arrested In Colorado ... After Their Heated Confrontation

update

7:29 AM PT -- Silt PD Chief Mike Kite tells TMZ Jayson Boebert's arrest Tuesday stems from two different arrest warrants -- one from their own department and another from the Garfield Sheriff's Office, noting that the offenses on their end (Silt PD) pertain to disorderly conduct, obstructing and criminal trespass ... whereas the Garfield charges relate to the other violations.

We're told the restaurant incident from this weekend is still under investigation, and one other interesting thing ... the Chief here tells us Rep. Boebert did NOT punch Jayson twice, as some witnesses claimed. The whole thing is still a little hazy, but Kite says the probe should be wrapped soon -- with more answers to come.

Congresswoman Lauren Boebert's ex-husband Jayson was just arrested for a number of offenses after the two got into a nasty altercation in Colorado over the weekend.

Jayson was cooling his heels in the Garfield County Jail on six misdemeanors/petty violations Tuesday before he was later released on $2,500 bond, a rep for the correctional facility told TMZ.

He was booked on prohibited use of weapons, assault, harassment and obstructing a peace officer – all misdemeanors -- as well as trespass and disorderly conduct, both of which are considered petty crimes.

The Silt Police Department has been investigating the former couple since Saturday when the two got into a confrontation in a local restaurant.

WHAT'S REALLY GOING ON

Eyewitnesses told TMZ that Lauren slugged Jayson twice in the nose, but the Republican Colorado congresswoman categorically denied the accusations. Our sources say an unknown person called 911, but quickly hung up.

Silt PD has yet to confirm Jayson's bust was connected to the restaurant incident, but we'll keep you posted on any updates. For the record, Lauren has not been arrested or charged in connection with breaking the law.

As you may recall, Lauren filed for divorce from Jayson last April after more than 15 years of marriage, citing "irreconcilable differences." Their divorce was reportedly finalized in October 2023.

MLB's Julio Urias L.A. D.A. Rejects Felony Charge ... Over Alleged DV Incident

Julio Urias will NOT face a felony charge for the alleged physical altercation involving his wife at a soccer game in September, TMZ Sports has learned ... with the L.A. District Attorney rejecting the case, concluding the incident didn't warrant such a serious charge.

Although it's good news for the 27-year-old pitcher, it doesn't mean he's fully in the clear ... the D.A. will now send the case to the City Attorney, who could opt to file a misdemeanor charge.

Our sources tell us after law enforcement's investigation, they believe Julio was in a verbal altercation with his wife that turned physical ... but because of Urias' lack of criminal record and other factors, the D.A.'s office doesn't believe it rises to the level of a felony. Thus the rejection.

Remember, Urias allegedly roughed up his wife Daisy after an LAFC vs. Inter Miami soccer game on September 3, when the couple went to BMO Stadium to watch Lionel Messi.

Julio was arrested at the scene for felony domestic violence. He was taken to jail before posting $50k bond.

The L.A. Dodgers, Urias' team since breaking into the Majors in 2016, almost immediately distanced themselves from the soon-to-be free agent, cleaning out his locker and wiping his images from Dodger Stadium.

Major League Baseball also placed him on administrative leave a few days after the alleged incident.

Urias is currently a free agent ... and his status with MLB is still in flux, though the D.A.'s decision could represent a step towards signing with a new team.

Of course, it's not the first time Julio has faced allegations of domestic violence.

The World Series champ agreed to participate in a diversion program in 2019 after he was accused of pushing a woman at a popular L.A. mall. Urias was not convicted, nor tried, in that case.

Tupac Shakur Murder Suspect Keefe D Gets Bail ... You're Free for $750k!!!

The man cops say is responsible for Tupac Shakur's death can walk out of jail today as he waits for his criminal trial to get going -- but only if he can come up with a helluva lot of cash.

Duane Davis -- AKA, Keefe D -- was in court out in Vegas Tuesday for a hearing on his potential release on bail pending his criminal trial ... where his legal team was arguing before a judge that their client wasn't a danger to society, nor was he a flight risk if they'd agree to cut him loose from lockup until the trial.

Mind you, Keefe's been in the Clark County jail since late September -- when he was first indicted for the murder of Tupac and taken into custody by cops ... the first big break in the cold case for a long, long time.

Remember ... Keefe's been out there publicly claiming to have been in the car that night way back in 1996, when Tupac was shot and killed while riding passenger with Suge Knight.

Keefe has suggested he wasn't the trigger man himself, but he's also the only one left alive to prosecute over the long-unsolved crime -- and Vegas officials finally brought him in.

Keefe's legal team pointed out that the proof was in the pudding in terms of Keefe not being a risk -- openly asking the court, if he was so dangerous, why did it take so long for cops to haul him in, even though his affiliation with the Tupac murder was well-known for a while.

They also doubled down on his not guilty plea -- saying he only said all that stuff about Pac's murder for entertainment/monetary gain ... but prosecutors pushed back, arguing this guy was a cold-blooded killer and absolutely should not be out on the streets.

010824_ufo_promo_kal
WHAT'S REALLY GOING ON

In the end, the judge agreed to let him out pending trial ... but set his bail pretty high at $750,000. He also said even if Keefe could cough up the dough, he'll be confined to house arrest with electronic monitoring while he waits for his trial.

Until he's able to post bail, Keefe will remain behind bars.

GYPSY ROSE BLANCHARD I WAS IN SOLITARY CONFINEMENT ... Because of a Super Fan!!!

Gypsy Rose Blanchard is dishing new surprising confessions about her time behind bars ... admitting she once spent 2 weeks in solitary purely because a total stranger posted something about a prison break.

Her new e-book, "Released: Conversations on the Eve of Freedom," was released Tuesday and in it, Gypsy says the super fan's social media post declared she didn't belong in prison, and they wished they could bust her out.

She says that was enough to trigger staff at Chillicothe Correctional Facility in Missouri to send her straight to isolation.

Gypsy says the experience was traumatizing as prison officials used that time to go through her stuff and look for any plans or correspondence indicating she knew the person behind the post ... but she didn't.

The e-book features a collection of letters, phone transcripts and photos from her prison stay ... and was written with Michele Matrisciani and Melissa Moore -- the latter interviewed Gypsy while she was locked up.

It also details her opioid addiction while in prison ... and features an open letter she penned to her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, telling her that fear, manipulation, and isolation were all she learned from her type of love.

Gypsy served 7 years of her 10-year sentence for the second-degree murder of Dee Dee, and since her release on Dec. 28 she's been embraced by fans on social media and in public.

Young Thug On Trial Casually Wears Shirt That Says 'Sex Records' To Court!!!

MAKING A FASHION STATEMENT
Court TV

Young Thug made an unexpected fashion statement in court on Monday ... rocking a white dress shirt with some hot and heavy language emblazoned on the front. Take a guess ...

The rapper -- who's in the middle of a criminal trial right now -- randomly told his followers to call him by the s-word years ago and the shirt's full message read, "SEX Records: Truly Humble Under God." Indeed, he was wearing this right there in front of the judge and jury.

His lawyer Brian Steele argued back in November that his rap name was an acronym for "Truly Humble Under God" ... and the "Young" was an ode to Tupac Shakur.

A calm and collected YT's bold wardrobe choice didn't seem to alarm his legal counsel ... the retired police sergeant reporting on the trial had a difference in opinion, though.

It was an eventful day in court for YSL ... Young Thug’s friend Trontavious “Tick” Stephens also took the stand and said some things ... but in a plain shirt.

AGRESOR DE JUEZ REGRESA A LA CORTE, DA LA CARA A LA MISMA JUEZA Recibe dura condena tras las rejas

010824_vegas_judge_attacker_kal_v2 1/8/24
enfrentándose a la jueza ... nuevamente
KVVU

Judge Attacker Back In Court, Faces Same Robe at Bench Gets Hard Time Behind Bars

FACING THE JUDGE ... AGAIN
KVVU

The man who brazenly attacked a Las Vegas judge was back in court to finally be given his sentencing ... and it was handed down by the exact same judge he took down last week.

Deobra Redden faced Judge Mary Kay Holthus in Clark County District Court Monday, donning a face mask and covers over his hands ... as well as guards on either side of him. Probably for good reason considering what happened the last time around.

Safe to say they're making sure there's no repeat attack here -- as we reported, Redden shockingly dove over the raised bench to attack Judge Holthus last week while she was gearing up to sentence him for his attempted battery conviction.

Now, as for how Monday's appearance went -- it was thankfully much calmer.

010324_court_room_fight-kal 1/3/24
LAW BRAWL

Judge Holthus kept her cool during sentencing, and didn't mention the prior outburst whatsoever ... but she did hit him with a sentence of 19-48 months behind bars, which is apparently what prosecutors were asking for. In other words, no real leniency.

Can't really blame her for throwing the book at him with everything that's gone on.

Remember, Redden was immediately put into isolation after attacking Judge Holthus, classified as a "2C" inmate, which is the most restrictive classification for inmates at the Clark County Jail. The video of him leaping up onto and past the bench to reach her was wild.

On top of all this, Redden's now facing 13 charges in connection with the attack on the judge and is due back in court for that on Tuesday.

Here's hoping the jump scares are kept at a minimum behind bars -- something tells us those wouldn't go over too well where he's going.

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Arrested For 'Ghost Gun' In L.A. Illegal Weapons Possession

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. was arrested for illegal possession of an assault rifle this weekend in L.A. ... after cops were called to the scene by a concerned fan who believed the boxer may be a danger to himself or others.

TMZ Sports has learned the 37-year-old former champ, son of the legendary Mexican pugilist Julio Cesar Chavez Sr., was taken into custody by LAPD around 1:30 PM ... after Jr. permitted responding officers to enter his home, where they located the illegal rifle.

Law enforcement sources tell us the weapon was an untraceable "ghost gun."

Chavez Jr. was ultimately transported to the Valley Jail in Van Nuys ... where the 6'1", 170 lb. fighter was booked.

It's not the first time people around Julio have feared for his safety. In fact, Chavez Sr. recently opened up about fears his son could lose his life if he continues down the same path.

Speaking of his God-like figure of a dad, although Julio didn't come close to the astronomical success his dad achieved in the squared circle, Jr. finished his boxing career with a 53-6-1 record ... fighting the likes of Daniel Jacobs and Canelo Alvarez.

Chavez Jr. a former WBC middleweight champion in 2011, last fought in December 2021, when he beat David Zegarra.
