Coachella Draws a Slew of Stars ... On Day 2

Celebs showed up to day 2 at Coachella in big numbers, some to perform ... and others to just bask in the sun.

Drake, Future, The Weeknd, Diddy, Quavo, Gucci Mane, A$AP Rocky ... and, of course, Lady Gaga all took the stage.

Others who were just there to enjoy ... Joe Jonas, Olivia Culpo, Ashley Tisdale, Nicole Richie, Jourdan Dunn,Christina Milian, Brooklyn Beckham, Tyga, Jared Leto, Emma Roberts and Sofia Carson ... among many, many others.

Just goes to show ya ... even Hollywood succumbs to the pull to Coachella.

Lady Gaga Unveils New Single at Coachella

Lady Gaga performed her new single at Coachella ... and it worked.

Gaga headlined Saturday night at Coachella this weekend -- replacing Beyonce -- and the decision clearly sat well with the crowd, judging by the reaction to "The Cure."

Beyonce pulled the plug on Coachella on doctor's orders, so Gaga had to make a splash.

Looks like she didn't disappoint.

BTW ... the festival goes on ice after Kendrick Lamar's performance Sunday night and fires up again Friday night with Radiohead, Gaga Saturday and Kendrick closes it out.

Aaron Carter Suck it Coachella I'm Doing Vegas

Vegas clearly couldn't compete with Coachella over the weekend, with acts like Gaga, Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar, Quavo, Drake and Future taking the mic in the California desert ... but the Nevada desert still got its piece of the action with Aaron Carter!

Aaron performed at the Go Pool at Flamingo, and let's be fair ... he attracted a pretty big crowd that seemed to be enjoying it.

Truth be told ... in that one shining moment, Aaron Carter was King of Sin City.

Kendall Jenner Coachella Media Warned No Pepsi Talk!!!

Kendall Jenner's ready for mics all up in her business when she hits up Coachella this weekend ... but there are strings attached -- NO PEPSI TALK!!!

Our Kendall sources tell us the model's got several interviews lined up when she hits up events at the festival ... but questions must be submitted in advance. Everyone interviewing Kendall will have a hard rule ... no direct or indirect mention of her failed Pepsi ad.

As we reported ... Kendall's hosting a party for the dating app Bumble and she'll be a guest DJ at another event.

There are consequences for outlets that get sneaky -- Kendall will be immediately pulled from the interview and the outlet will forever be persona non grata.

Ask at your peril ...

Coachella Major Crackdown! No More Ripping Off Handicap Spots

Coachella cops have a new headache -- 'cause drugs and counterfeit tickets weren't enough -- they're shutting down concertgoers who abuse handicapped parking permits.

Law enforcement sources tell us police at the festival will be on the lookout for fake, stolen or borrowed handicap parking placards. Meaning ... snatching grandma's for the weekend so you can score primo parking ... ain't gonna fly anymore. We're told it's been a big problem for years at Coachella, so 5-0's cracking down.

You've been warned, and know this ... if ya try it and get busted, it's a misdemeanor punishable by up to $1,000 fine or jail.

Major buzzkill if ya already dropped $400 to $900 for a concert ticket.

Coachella Spoiler Alert ... 5 New Artists!

Coachella's officially going to be way more lit than expected this weekend -- TMZ's learned 5 MAJOR artists have been added to the lineup for surprise appearances.

It was already gonna be insane with performances by Lady Gaga on Saturday and Kendrick Lamar on Sunday, but the new acts ain't too shabby either.

Consider this your final SPOILER ALERT, then check out who's gonna shock the crowd for opening weekend. You won't be disappointed. Unless you dumped your tickets when Beyonce bowed out.

Oops!

Kanye West Sorry 'Chella, My Comeback's Gotta Wait

Kanye West hasn't hit the stage since November -- and despite heavy speculation -- that's not gonna change at Coachella ... TMZ has learned.

Rumors have been swirling 'Ye would make his big comeback this weekend in the desert. He's featured on "THat Part" by ScHoolboy Q -- a performer this year -- and has worked with Travis Scott (who will arguably play the biggest show of his career at Coachella).

Fans thought Scott's appearance was a big clue Kanye would resurface.

Multiple festival sources are clear ... Kanye will not perform at Coachella ... period.

Kanye's no stranger to the music festival ... he jumped onstage with A$AP Rocky last year and famously headlined in 2011.

No one's saying when Kanye will resurface.

Coachella Camping Party Vestal Village is Back ... Pools, Pac-Man & Pitched Tents

Coachella-goers who wanna keep partying after the festival -- or even during -- won't have to look far ... Vestal Village is back, and it's bigger than ever.

The 4 day invite-only party kicks off Thursday and runs through Sunday at the same time as Coachella, and it's just a few miles down the road at Lake Cahuilla.

From the looks of these behind-the-scenes pics we've obtained, it'll be a pretty rad scene -- camping grounds around the lake for chill time, and a gated pool area for raging time. After all, there's live music and free drinks.

The Village sits between more than 700 acres of mountains, so you can also hike, fish or go horseback riding (BYOH though). And if that's too active for ya ... try the Ms. Pac-Man.

Kendall Jenner To Resurface at Coachella After Pepsi Ad

Kendall Jenner has chosen Coachella as the place she'll return to the spotlight after the epically disastrous Pepsi ad.

We've learned Kendall will host a party for the Bumble dating app in Rancho Mirage this weekend. The company is taking over a mansion in an exclusive gated community and will create a winter wonderland with real ice and snow ... in the desert!

Kendall will also guest DJ at an event over the weekend.

The events were scheduled a while back but Kendall has been MIA since the Pepsi ad exploded. The organizers were extremely concerned she would bail, but we're told she has now given assurance she will be at both events.

We're told Kylie will be by Kendall's side at both events.

Coachella 2017 What's That Smell? VIP Ganja Party

Coachella won't be the only high-profile event in the desert next month -- a fully legal "Oasis" for marijuana lovers will be right down the road.

Weedmaps and Talent Resources are building a compound 6 miles from the music fest to offer VIP guests a spot to chill with Cali's finest bud. Our ganja sources tell us the spot will feature 2 grow houses, a greenhouse, and 5 geodesic domes to test different strains from GenX, Brass Knuckle and West Coast Cure.

Of course, "Budologists" will be on hand to help make recommendations.

It's now legal to carry up to an ounce of weed in CA, so clearly organizers are trying to entice some Coachella-goers to in-house shop, although all weed products are being given away, not sold.

BTW, those groovy looking domes will each offer different pot experiences -- vaping, edibles, traditional smoking, etc. -- but all will get you high.

Lady Gaga In for Beyonce at Coachella

Lady Gaga will fill Beyonce's slot at Coachella 2017 ... TMZ has confirmed.

Festival organizers Goldenvoice and AEG Live haven't quite closed the deal with Gaga, but they're getting close.

As we reported ... pregnant Bey pulled out last week on doctor's orders.

Story developing ...

Beyonce Coachella Cancellation Ticket Resale Prices Go Up!!!

Beyonce's Coachella cancellation didn't cause resale prices to plummet ... in fact, it's been quite the opposite -- tickets actually went up in price.

When Bey pulled the plug Thursday, the cheapest resale GA pass was going for $540 on StubHub. Twenty-four hours after the cancellation, tickets were going for $550 a pop.

Coachella insiders tell us it just reinforces the fact ... fans of the festival are going for the experience and not one particular headliner.

As TMZ reported, the festival was almost completely sold out before Beyonce's appearance was announced. There clearly wasn't an avalanche of resales on the market ... otherwise the prices would have dropped.

Beyonce Bails On Coachella Doctor's Orders

Beyonce has just canceled her gig at Coachella ... because her pregnancy makes it just too dicey.

Bey cited "doctor's orders" as the reason for bailing on the festival, which is interesting. She performed at the Grammys less than 2 weeks ago, but was seated for most of it. Obviously, doctors don't think it would be wise to even attempt that kind of low-impact performance at Coachella 2 months from now.

As for the festival, sources tell us they are now looking for a replacement, and Beyonce says she'll be back to headline in 2018. Makes ya think ... she's probably planning to release new music between now and then.

Silver lining?

Beyonce Tells Team She's Definitely Doing Coachella ... With a BIG Asterisk

Beyonce broke it down for her team at the Grammys -- vowing pregnancy will NOT stop her from playing Coachella, but she's giving herself an out ... just in case.

Sources at the Grammys tell us Bey was backstage before her performance, meeting with her production crew when someone asked about the 2 festival dates in April. We're told she said as long as she's healthy she will be performing.

The word "healthy" is key. Since she's having twins, Beyonce could be concerned doctors might order bed rest. We're told Bey reassured her team -- many of whom signed one year contracts -- they would all be compensated, even if she couldn't perform. We're guessing that's a reference to an insurance policy.

This was the first time some people on the team had seen her pregnant, and that's why they raised the Coachella topic.

As for the big mystery -- we're told Bey never mentioned exactly how many months pregnant she is.

Coachella Full Steam Ahead with Beyonce

Coachella music festival producers have had no contact with Beyonce since her pregnancy announcement, but they are NOT making alternate plans ... because pregnancy is a tricky issue.

Sources connected with the festival tell TMZ, producers have not reached out to Bey and she has not said a word to them since telling the world last week she's having twins.

One source intimately involved in organizing the festival tells us it's a slippery slope for them to start inquiring whether a pregnant woman can perform. They are aware her first pregnancy was high-risk and even required bed rest, but we're told they have no alternative plans ... it's full steam ahead.

We're told producers have not reached out to other singers in case Beyonce won't show. They believe they will know soon, and it's better for her to make the first move than for them to jump the gun.

It's unclear how far along Beyonce is in her pregnancy, but we may get a good idea at Sunday's Grammys, where she's expected to perform.

Beyonce All Signs Point to Coachella Going On as Planned

Beyonce's forging full steam ahead with plans to play Coachella, even with her 2 buns in the oven ... TMZ has learned.

Sources involved in pulling off Coachella tell us Bey has no intention of canceling, and has already booked 2 other big artists to join her onstage. She's made housing arrangements out in the desert for her guest stars, and we're told both knew well in advance that Beyonce's preggo.

One of the performers is from the Roc Nation roster. The other is from a different label, but still close to Bey. Our sources say the guests have blocked off their schedules for the gig and there's no going back now.

It's still unclear how she'll handle the performance, since she'll likely be in her third trimester by April. Beyhive might not love it, but there's always the seated option.
