Britney Spears' home popped up on the market Monday -- which got her fans thinking she was ready to get the hell outta Cali ... but she isn't going anywhere, TMZ has learned.

Eagle-eyed sleuths probably noticed BS' Thousand Oaks mansion show up on real estate sites as being listed for sale Monday -- and it looked like she was trying to unload it for just under $9 million ... at least based on the public listing.

However, despite the fact this info got published and went wide everywhere -- multiple sources with direct knowledge tell us the whole thing was a hack ... and Britney is NOT packing her bags.

Ben Affleck has purchased a new multi-million dollar L.A. estate, TMZ has learned, all but marking the end of his marriage to Jennifer Lopez.

Real estate sources tell TMZ ... Ben just closed escrow on the Brentwood mansion for $20.5 million. The stunning residence has 5 beds and 6 baths with breakfast and dining areas, a separate family room, den, walk-in closets, media room, powder room, guest house and on and on and on.

TMZ broke the story ... Ben and Jen quietly tried selling their marital home in Bev Hills back in June, but there were no takers, so they officially put it on the market July 11 for $68 million. They bought the house just last year for around $61 million, so with the L.A. mansion tax, real estate commissions and several mil in renovations, they'll be lucky to break even.

Rick Springfield is dealing with an unwanted pest ... cops say an overzealous female fan made her way onto his property on more than one occasion.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... a woman in her 40s was determined to meet the rock legend, showing up at his Los Angeles-area home twice in the last week. We're told the fan talked her way into Rick's gated community ... telling security she was his maid.

A seemingly unstoppable blaze is becoming perilously close to MJ's famous/notorious ranch in Santa Barbara County. It's called the Lake Fire, and it's caused a mad scramble with evacuations in its path.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... two burglars broke into Boogie's home, where she lives with her and Trey's daughter Betty, just before 9 PM last month -- with the scary situation caught on their alarm company's camera.

The LAPD rushed to the scene along with armed security to search the home.

Bodybuilder Simeon Panda is the latest to fall victim to the rash of celebrity burglaries in Los Angeles ... TMZ Sports has learned the star bodybuilder's crib was recently hit by multiple thieves.

Our sources tell us the L.A. home of 38-year-old Panda, a YouTuber and competitive bodybuilder, was broken into by three masked men in mid-June ... with the burglars breaking in using a back glass door.

Fortunately, Simeon, who wasn't home at the time (or perhaps fortunate for the burglars), had an alarm and security cameras ... and he was quickly alerted to the intrusion. Cops were called, however, despite a quick response, the men were already gone by the time police arrived.
