Georgia Holt Cher's Mom Dead at 96

Cher is mourning the loss of her mother, Georgia Holt, who'd been battling illness for several months.

Cher announced the sad news late Saturday, simply saying ... "Mom is gone."

Georgia's been ill for a while now -- back in September, Cher tweeted, "Sorry I've Been Mia. Mom's Been Sick Off & On. She Just Got Out Of Hosp. She Had Pneumonia."

It did seem like she was making a turn for the better, because Cher also told fans her mother was "getting better" and was able to go home.

No word yet on Georgia's cause of death.

The phrase "she got it from her mama" could have been coined for Cher and Georgia ... who never looked anywhere close to her age.

Cher honored Georgia with the 2013 Lifetime documentary, "Dear Mom, Love Cher."

The film chronicled Georgia's childhood growing up in Arkansas, her 6 marriages and her show biz career. Long before Cher came along, her mother was a singer, model and actor. Sound familiar?

Georgia was 96.

Aaron Carter Fiancée Hurt by His Mom's Accusation ... All Good Before He Died

Aaron Carter's mother accused his fiancée of causing his death, but Melanie Martin says not only is that not true … it’s also downright hurtful based on the reality.

Melanie tells TMZ … posts publicly shared by Aaron's mom, Jane Schneck, last week -- in which she outright accused MM of killing her son -- are completely contradictory to what she says was a fairly good relationship with Jane before Aaron passed.

While he was alive, Melanie says Jane would often thank her for having Aaron’s best interest at heart -- and that she explicitly expressed to her that she knew how much Melanie loved Aaron.

One example … Melanie says while she was helping Aaron get his teeth fixed -- Jane was singing her praises and called her a good woman. It's because they used to have that kind of relationship that Melanie says Jane's attacks are so hurtful.

Despite that, Melanie tells us she doesn't hold the posts, which have since been deleted, against Jane -- she knows everyone in Aaron's life is grieving in their own way.

There's also this … Melanie says after Jane's posts, an assistant for Aaron’s sister, Angel, called her directly to apologize, and to let her know they were taken down.

Melanie also says she's been invited to the memorial the family will hold next year to spread Aaron's ashes.

For what it's worth, Melanie points out she was one of the few people still actively trying to help Aaron when he died -- and says she too is still mourning the loss.

Melanie wants to make peace with Jane, because she tells us it's still her hope for Prince, her son with Aaron, to meet his grandma after Christmas -- as they'd planned to do before Aaron was found dead at his home last month.

As for Jane, she tells TMZ what she meant by "Melanie did it" is that Melanie drove him to madness, but adds the family doesn't want a war with her -- just what's best for Prince. In her mind, that means Melanie getting custody.

According to legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Clark's asking for an initial sum of $5,000 to hire a P.I. ... adding he's financially unable to cover the costs on his own.

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie I Made Adjustments ... Now PnB Rock's on My Deluxe Album!!!

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie turned 27 today and will have even more celebrating to do when "Me Vs. Myself" -- his first album in nearly 3 years -- is unleashed on the world.

Unfortunately, A Boogie had to complete the project without his longtime collaborator and ex-Atlantic Records labelmate PnB Rock, who was murdered in September.

A Boogie and PnB have several songs together, including a joint on A Boogie's last album, and the Bronx rapper figured out a way to honor his late friend ... with a feature on the "Me Vs. Myself" deluxe version down the line.

He tells Apple Music ... "When it comes to PnB Rock too, that was a big one right there, that was the end of my album."

He added, "I didn't expect that right there. I had to put him on the album at the same time as not making it. I don't like to do that when it comes to people passing away, putting [out] their music. It feels like a weird tension towards that ... I separated his song from my album and I'm dropping it solo as a deluxe."

Mills Lane Legendary Boxing Ref Dead At 85

Legendary boxing ref Mills Lane -- perhaps best known for his portrayal in MTV's iconic "Celebrity Deathmatch" show -- has sadly died, his son announced.

He was 85 years old.

Tommy Lane told the Reno Gazette Journal Mills passed away on Tuesday morning in Nevada ... after being in hospice the past few days.

"He took a significant decline in his overall situation," Tommy said of his dad to the outlet. "It was a quick departure. He was comfortable and he was surrounded by his family."

Mills began boxing in his 20s while in the Marines, and quickly stacked up an impressive resume -- ultimately logging a 10-1 record as a pro. He later became a ref in the sport.

It was in 1997, though, that he gained national fame ... while reffing the infamous Mike Tyson vs. Evander Holyfield ear-biting bout.

After Iron Mike had taken chunks of Holyfield's ear, it was Mills who ultimately DQ'ed the former champ. Mills then eventually retired from reffing in 1998.

Mills went on to host his own court show, "Judge Mills Lane" ... as well as being featured in "Celebrity Deathmatch."

In the MTV production, an animated clay version of Mills started every bout by screaming, "Let's Get It On!" The show gained a huge following for its gory representation of celebrity fights.

Mills eventually left the show in 2002 after suffering a stroke, being replaced by Chris Edgerly in the 2006 reboot.

During his lifetime, Mills -- who was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2013 -- also worked as a prosecutor, a district attorney and a real-life judge.
