Playmate Ashley Mattingly Died From Gunshot Wound to Head

Former Playboy Playmate Ashley Mattingly -- a domestic violence survivor at the hands of Lane Garrison -- took her own life with a gunshot to the head ... according to her autopsy.

The Travis County Medical Examiner's Office says Ashley put a handgun in her mouth when she pulled the trigger. The rest of the report reveals graphic, and quite frankly, obvious details we don't need to get into here.

The ME's report, obtained by TMZ, also includes toxicology results that show Ashley had opiates and benzos in her system when she died.

TMZ broke the story ... Ashley died back in April at her home in Austin, Texas, leaving a suicide note. Her family told us Ashley was struggling with substance abuse and alcohol abuse.

While they acknowledge she had many demons, they also say she was trying to get her life back on track.

Ashley was 33.

Vanessa Bryant Reveals Tattoo Tributes Honoring Gianna and Kobe

Vanessa Bryant got tattoos to honor Kobe and Gianna back in February -- and she's now sharing video of the ink sessions.

Vanessa hit up tattoo artist Nikko Hurtado for a house call to put two different pieces on her body.

First, a tribute to Gianna on her wrist.

"Shoutout to @nikkohurtado for coming over and helping me get my Gigi’s sweet message transferred on me. #throwbacktoFebruary," Vanessa said.

Unclear exactly what the message says.

Next, a tribute to Kobe on her neck.

"I wanted my boo boo's @kobebryant sweet message transferred on me."

"@nikkohurtado came through for me. Thank you! #inked #messagetransfer #BooBoo #throwback #tattooinmyhallway #QueenMamba #MambaMentality."

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

Vanessa did not reveal specific details about the two tattoos -- meaning, we don't know what the messages say -- but obviously, they are deeply meaningful to her.

Kobe and Gianna -- along with 7 others -- died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, CA on January 26.

Several people close to Kobe -- including LeBron James and Anthony Davis -- also got tattoos to pay tribute to the NBA legend.

After Vanessa posted the tattoo footage, a bunch of her famous friends weighed in with positive messages including Khloe Kardashian.

"So special beautiful," Khloe wrote.

Nikko, the tattoo artist, also commented ... saying, "Anytime for you guys! All love! I hope you guys are okay. Let’s do a sleeve now!"

Al Sharpton Floyd Eulogy Was Chance to Explain Our Pain... His Death Should Be America's Tipping Point

Al Sharpton
THEIR LIVES GO ON
TMZ.com

Rev. Al Sharpton says his eulogy for George Floyd was intended to underscore the suffering black families have endured for centuries ... and to demand those responsible finally be held accountable.

The civil rights activist joined "TMZ Live" Wednesday to expand on the powerful message he delivered Tuesday in Houston. Al says he wanted to remind everyone that George's killing is not an isolated incident ... and that's the root of the protests and the growing movement for justice and equality.

Al Sharpton Eulogy
JUSTICE FOR THE FAMILIES

Sharpton says with family members for Eric Garner and Ahmaud Arbery in attendance ... it was appropriate to discuss, not only their pain, but the fact they've yet to get justice.

The Rev. told us it's way past time to stop ignoring this and change the law enforcement system that continues to allow it to happen. He suggested one fix that could greatly aid in the prosecution of bad cops.

He acknowledged it won't be easy to change -- but Sharpton believes George's death can be the tipping point America needs to make it happen. As he put it, slavery and Jim Crow went on for a long time too.

Things can, and do, change. All the time.

Pro Wrestler Hana Kimura 'Terrace House' Season Canceled ... After Tragic Death

Japanese reality show "Terrace House" is pulling the plug on the remainder of its 2019-2020 season ... following the tragic death of star cast member and pro wrestler Hana Kimura.

For those unfamiliar, "Terrace House" (which has become popular internationally on Netflix) follows 6 strangers -- 3 men and 3 women -- who live together and develop friendships and relationships.

22-year-old Kimura -- leader of Stardom Wrestling's Tokyo Cyber Squad -- joined the show's "Tokyo 2019-2020" season for episodes 20-42 ... saying she wanted to join to bring more eyes to female wrestling.

Kimura died on Saturday -- and now, Japanese broadcaster Fuji Television has said it will NOT air the final episodes of the season.

"We would like to express our regrets for the death of Hana Kimura and offer our sincere condolences to her family," FT said in a statement.

"Taking her passing with utmost sincerity, we will take active steps to formulate a response.”

Before her death on Saturday, Kimura had said she was the target of cyberbullying that stemmed from the show -- tweeting, "Every day, I receive nearly 100 honest opinions and I cannot deny that I get hurt."

Most of the cyberbullying was connected to an incident on the show involving an altercation with a male costar.

Kimura reportedly took her own life as a result of the constant harassment.

Govt. officials in Japan have strongly spoken out against cyberbullying in the wake of the tragedy ... with Communications Minister Sanae Takaichi saying they are looking into ways to identify and punish those responsible.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Pays Tribute to Shad Gaspard ... 'The Ultimate Hero'

Another emotional tribute to ex-WWE superstar Shad Gaspard ... this time, it's Arnold Schwarzenegger calling Shad "the ultimate hero."

Arnold knew Shad from the legendary Gold's Gym in Venice -- where some of the top bodybuilders from around the world go to train.

It's clear Shad made an impression on Arnold -- not just from pumping iron -- but for just being an all around good dude.

In fact, so many people at the gym had love for Shad, they set up a memorial right in front ... and Tuesday morning, Arnold showed some love.

"On my bike ride today I stopped to pay respects to Shad Gaspard," Arnold said.

"He was such a positive force in the gym and the world. He was a hero in bodybuilding, a hero in wrestling, and the moment he told lifeguards to save his son first, the ultimate hero."

"My thoughts are with his family."

As we previously reported, Shad was caught in a riptide during a beach swim in Marina del Rey with his 10-year-old son on March 17.

Lifeguards rushed out to help them -- but Shad directed them to rescue his son first. Moments later, a giant wave crashed on Gaspard, pulling him under.

His body washed up on shore a few days later.

Since then, stars from all over the world have paid tribute ... remembering Shad as a really nice guy, a solid wrestler and a great husband and father.

He was only 39.

'Seinfeld' Actor Richard Herd Dead at 87 ... Played Mr. Wilhelm

Richard Herd -- who played George Costanza's Yankees boss on "Seinfeld" -- has died.

The veteran actor -- who's possibly best remembered as Mr. Wilhelm on the hit sitcom -- passed away Tuesday at his home in L.A. due to complications from cancer.

Herd only appeared on 11 episodes of "Seinfeld," but his time was memorable (and hilarious). He portrayed a (fake) New York Yankees executive who supervised George when he was the assistant to the traveling secretary, and would often give GC complicated tasks he'd fumble his way through completing (or not completing, more often).

Mr. Wilhelm eventually stole George's dream gig of scouting for the Mets ... a great farewell to his character.

Richard had many, many roles besides "Seinfeld," though -- he acted in huge films like "All the President's Men," "Get Out," "The China Syndrome," and "Planes, Trains and Automobiles."

On TV, he also appeared on "Simon & Simon," "Murder, She Wrote," "Quantum Leap," "SeaQuest 2032," "Dallas" and "Hart to Hart."

He's survived by his wife, Patricia, and his three children.

Richard was 87. RIP
