Diddy I'm Serious About Buying Panthers ... Doing It For Black America
Diddy says he's 100% serious about buying the Carolina Panthers, and the reason he's doing it couldn't be more important ... 'cause he says it's all to inspire and empower black America.
Puff sat down with the crew on "The Breakfast Club" when he was asked if there were any updates on his efforts to purchase the squad.
Diddy made it clear it's totally real -- he's putting an investment group together -- and told everyone why he thought it was important for the black community to have NFL ownership.
"It was never about me buying the Panthers, it was always about we. It was always about we need a team. I jumped out there to make sure that they understood that they have to consider some black ownership right now with 80%, 70% of the league being African-American. It's just time."
Diddy goes on to say he gets why some people think he won't be able to do it ... there's a lot of yellow tape -- but it's clear he doesn't think anyone can stop him.
And we already know he won't stop.

T.I. NFL Ownership Sucks ... Here's Why
T.I. says he does NOT want in on Diddy and Steph Curry's bid to buy the Carolina Panthers ... 'cause owning a team ain't all it's cracked up to be.

"If I spend tens of millions or hundreds of millions, I want full rein and jurisdiction over everything ... you can't do that with the NFL."
Don't get it twisted -- the King of the South says he's glad Steph and Diddy have a real shot to buy the squad ... but he clearly ain't interested in teaming up.

"And I'm saying that as a former WWE wrestler. Watch the video, you don't collapse after that him because you need ice on your face. It's a #concussion."

Well that was fast -- Carolina Panthers owner Jerry Richardson says he's putting the team up for sale at the end of the season ... the same day the NFL said it's investigating him.

@YahooSports
As we reported ... the Panthers launched an investigation into their owner this week for alleged misconduct in the workplace, including reported cash settlements for at least 4 employees.
According to Sports Illustrated, the misconduct centered around alleged sexual harassment and the use of a racial slur. The NFL also announced Sunday that it was taking over the Panthers' original probe ... which appears to have forced Richardson's hand.
Gotta say ... this reminds us a lot of when TMZ Sports revealed racist comments made by former Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling ... who sold the team after news of his scandal broke.
As for Richardson, he and some investors paid the NFL a reported $206 million in 1993 to create the Panthers as an expansion team. It's probably worth a lot more than that now.

"The behavior exhibited by the perpetrator is unacceptable and will not be condoned at Bank of America Stadium."
WARNING: THIS VIDEO IS EXTREMELY VIOLENT AND DISTURBING
NFL officials are investigating a brutal incident involving a Carolina Panthers fan blasting another fan in the face during Thursday Night Football.
It all went down toward the end of the game -- the person who shot the footage at Bank of America Stadium says the Panthers fan had been standing for most of the game and the older fan had repeatedly asked him to sit down.
Instead, the Panthers fan berated him with insults -- and ultimately punched the other fan in the face, instantly opening a nasty gash that began to gush blood.
The Panthers fan ran away while witnesses called for security, as seen on the video published on Crossing Broad.
The NFL told Ian Rapoport it's working with the Carolina Panthers security team -- saying, "We take all of these very seriously."
We reached out to the Panthers who told us ... "We are reviewing the incident with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department."
So far, no word from police. We're working on it.
