Anne Heche Family Fight Over Estate Heats Up

UPDATE

2:45 PM PT -- 9/16 -- James Tupper's attorney included a copy of Anne's email to James in 2011 in his court filing.

UPDATE
UPDATE

6:30 PM PT -- An attorney for Anne's older son, Homer, tells TMZ ... "We prefer to see the estate administration play out in court and not in the media, as our legal documents speak for themselves."

UPDATE

Homer's lawyer, Bryan Phipps, adds ... "The court appointing Homer special administrator today supports that decision."

Some of Anne Heche's family members are duking it out in court over the late actress' estate ... and it's getting nasty.

Here's the deal ... Anne, who had 2 sons with 2 different men, died without a will and her oldest son, 20-year-old Homer Laffoon, wants to run the estate. He also wants his younger half-brother, 13-year-old Atlas Heche Tupper, and himself listed as Anne's sole heirs.

That would've been clean and simple, but enter James Tupper -- Anne's former "Men In Trees" co-star and Atlas' father says Anne wanted him to be in charge of her estate.

According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, James claims Anne emailed him and 2 other people a copy of her will back in 2011, when they were still dating. James says in the email Anne stated she nominated him as the executor of her will so he could carry out her financial wishes.

Meanwhile, Homer's recently doubled down on allegations James is trying to manipulate him ... with Homer claiming he can't get in touch with his half-brother because James is controlling Atlas' phone.

James is firing back in this latest legal filing ... claiming Homer "is not suitable" to run the estate, claiming he's only 20, is unemployed, dropped out of school and was estranged from Anne at the time of her death.

What's more, James claims he's trying to meet up with Homer, but says he's being ghosted ... and James also accuses Homer of locking him and Atlas out of Anne's house as soon as she died.

As we reported ... Anne lost consciousness shortly after last month's car crash and never regained it, dying from her injuries days later in a hospital from thermal injuries and smoke inhalation.

Steph Pappas' father was killed by a suspected drunk driver in Ohio this weekend -- and her mother was also injured ... this according to law enforcement.

John Pappas was pronounced dead on the scene Sunday night in Stark County after he and his wife, Kristine -- both parents to the 22-year-old YouTube star -- were struck by a driver traveling westbound ... who cops say veered into the Pappas' vehicle.

Jackson Township PD tells TMZ ... the driver is believed to have sideswiped the Pappas' car after veering off the centerline, and that there was heavy damage to the driver's side door.

First responders rushed to the scene, but officials from the Coroner's Office found John had succumbed to his injuries. Kristine was rushed to the hospital -- her condition is unknown.

Cops are saying drugs and/or alcohol are believed to be a contributing factor to the crash, however ... no arrests have been made yet. Jackson Township won't tell us what obvious signs of impairment they observed, but they do say they're investigating and collecting samples to present to prosecutors ... which they believe will lead to criminal charges.

Steph has a massive following as an up-and-coming influencer -- she has 1.4 million subscribers and hundreds of thousands of IG followers as well. She's acknowledged her father's passing online, saying she "wants my dad back."

Other influencers, like Shane Dawson, have sent their condolences.

Britt Reid Enters Guilty Plea In Car Crash Case ... Victims Slam Prosecutors Over Deal

Britt Reid has just formally entered a guilty plea to felony DWI in his car crash case after cutting a deal with prosecutors ... and the attorney for the victims tells TMZ Sports they are not happy with the situation.

The former Kansas City Chiefs assistant coach -- wearing a suit with a yellow tie -- made the plea during a hearing in a Missouri courtroom on Monday morning ... nearly two years after he was accused of getting drunk and then causing a car crash that severely injured a 5-year-old girl.

Reid, according to KCTV5's Angie Ricono, told the courtroom while making the plea, "I regret what I did. I made a huge mistake. I apologize to the family. I didn’t mean to hurt anyone."

Prosecutors agreed not to seek a sentence longer than 4 years behind bars for Reid, the son of Andy Reid, in exchange for the guilty plea -- something that attorney Tom Porto says he and his clients are absolutely appalled by.

"The five victims of this crime are outraged the prosecuting attorney is not seeking the maximum sentence allowable by law," Porto said in a statement. "The defendant is a prior offender whose actions caused a five-year-old girl to be in a coma and seriously injured three others."

Reid was facing a maximum of seven years in prison.

Reid allegedly caused the car crash back on Feb. 4, 2021 ... after authorities say he slammed his pickup truck into the back of a car. Officials say he was going 83.9 MPH in a 65 MPH zone just seconds before the collision, and had a .113 BAC 2 hours following the wreck.

The 37-year-old, who formally departed from the Chiefs days after the accident and has not coached in the NFL since, is due back in court for sentencing on Oct. 28.

NFL's Deshazor Everett Sentenced To House Arrest ... In Fatal Car Crash Case

UPDATE

1:52 PM PT -- Prosecutors tell TMZ Sports ... Everett was also sentenced to 100 hours of community service. He was also ordered to create a PSA for the NFL and other sports leagues.

Former Washington Commanders captain Deshazor Everett has just been sentenced to house arrest in the criminal case involving his December car crash that resulted in the death of his girlfriend.

A judge handed down the sentence in a Loudoun County, Va. courtroom on Thursday ... two months after Everett pleaded guilty to misdemeanor reckless driving in the case.

The judge sentenced the 30-year-old to 12 months of house arrest, with nine months suspended, court records show. The judge also ordered the suspension of Everett's license for six months. He was also hit with a $2,500 fine, according to the records.

Outside of the courtroom following the ruling, Everett's attorney, Kaveh Noorishad, called it all "a fair decision."

Everett also spoke after the hearing ... and vowed "to be the best person" that his girlfriend "always wanted me to be."

As we previously reported, Everett was initially charged with felony involuntary manslaughter after officials alleged he was speeding before he crashed his Nissan GT-R. His girlfriend, Olivia Peters, was a passenger in the car, and died as a result of the wreck.

Everett cut a deal with prosecutors in July, pleading guilty to a lesser charge of misdemeanor reckless driving.

Everett -- who was released by the Commanders three months after the crash -- has not played football since the accident. He's currently an NFL free agent.

Britt Reid To Plead Guilty To Felony DWI ... In Car Crash Case

Britt Reid -- a former Kansas City Chiefs assistant coach and the son of Andy Reid -- plans to plead guilty to a felony DWI charge in his car crash case ... his attorney announced Tuesday.

"Mr. Reid is sorry for his actions," said J.R. Hobbs, Britt's lawyer, "and hopes that his plea brings some sense of justice to all those he affected."

According to court records, Britt is slated to make the plea on Sept. 12. He's facing up to seven years in prison.

The plea will come nearly two years after Britt was accused of driving while intoxicated and slamming his pickup truck into the back of a car, causing serious injuries to then-5-year-old Ariel Young.

Officials say Britt had a .113 BAC when measured around 2 hours after the Feb. 4, 2021 crash ... and claim Reid was also going 83.9 MPH in a 65 MPH zone just seconds before the collision.

37-year-old Britt -- who formally departed from the Chiefs days after the accident -- was charged with the felony in April. He initially pleaded not guilty.

"He sincerely regrets his conduct and hopes and prays for the continued recovery for A.Y.," Hobbs said in a statement Tuesday. "Mr. Reid sincerely apologizes to A.Y. and her family, and to his own family. He also extends his deep apologies to the Hunt family, the Chiefs organization and Chiefs kingdom."

The Chiefs said back in Nov. 2021 that they are making sure Young is taken of "for the rest of her life."

The attorney for Young and her family, Tom Porto, said in a statement of their own on Tuesday he was "hopeful" Britt "receives the maximum sentence allowable by law" following his guilty plea next week.

Jerry Jones Admitted To No Seat Belt Use In Car Crash ... Police Video Shows

Jerry Jones is very, very fortunate to have walked away from his May car crash without serious injuries -- because the Dallas Cowboys owner admitted to cops in the aftermath of the accident that he was NOT wearing his seat belt, according to new police video, obtained by TMZ Sports.

The footage -- which was blurred by police -- shows Jones told at least two officers that he was not buckled in when he T-boned a Hyundai on May 4 in Dallas, Texas.

Jones also told cops he was going around 45 MPH in his 2013 Lexus at the time of the wreck -- and that his airbags did deploy -- making it even more astounding that he came away from it all relatively unscathed.

"You had it buckled behind you but you weren't wearing it," one cop can be heard telling Jones of his seat belt in the clip.

"That is correct," Jones responded. "That is correct."

Jones did tell an officer at a local hospital that he suffered a "head bump, chest bump, [and] knee bump" in the accident ... but he was "not in any pain now."

He was ultimately discharged ... and ended up having no lingering effects from the accident.

Jones implied during the police video that the other driver was at fault -- saying to one cop, "He just U-ed. He just simply U-ed right in front of me."

Jones added, "I hit him broadside. I'm so happy he's not hurt."

Cops eventually cleared Jones of any wrongdoing in the case.

As for going forward, one officer stressed to Jones in the video to make sure he wears his seat belt from now on.

"The only thing I'm going to ask you to do," the cop said, "is put that seat belt on the right way."

Jones' response ... "I agree."

Anne Heche was not rescued immediately after her car slammed into an L.A. home and caught the house on fire -- not even close -- it took the fire dept. 45 minutes to rescue her.

New information has surfaced from the L.A. Fire Dept. ... a timeline of the horrendous crash that took the actress's life. According to the records, obtained by NBC4 LA, the blaze was so intense firefighters couldn't even get near Anne's car for at least 20 minutes ... once there, it took an additional 20 minutes to extricate the vehicle from the burning home.

An L.A. fire chief says the combination of smoke and fire made it nearly impossible to see or approach the car.

Cops: Marshawn Lynch Crashed Lambo In Las Vegas ... 6 Months Before DUI Arrest

Six months before he was arrested for DUI, Marshawn Lynch had another troubling incident on the roads of Las Vegas ... crashing his pricey Lambo at around 4 a.m. -- this according to cops.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept. officers said in police documents, obtained by TMZ Sports, that Lynch was driving a 2014 white Lamborghini Aventador on Feb. 22 when he struck a curb and eventually came to a stop in a landscape area.

Officers say in the docs a man claiming to be Lynch's cousin initially took responsibility for the crash at the scene. They claim the man told them he tried to make a U-turn and "lost it."

Cops, though, didn't seem to buy the story. They said in the docs they had seen a black van pull up to the scene and pick someone up from the disabled Lamborghini -- and when they asked the man about it, they say he told them, "No I came in the van."

They say the man "then changed his story to say the van came to pick up a passenger that was in the car."

Cops say they issued the man citations -- but they later voided them when they say they proved he was not the driver of the car.

Eventually, according to the docs, cops say they were able to get in contact with Lynch -- who came to the traffic bureau on Feb. 25 for an interview about the crash. The report states Lynch "took full responsibility for the collision" and blamed the wreck on being "unfamiliar with the area due to being a new resident."

Cops said in the documents when they asked Lynch why he left the scene, he told them people began to show up and video him and he didn't want to be filmed. Cops say Lynch told them he did not know the man claiming to be his cousin had attempted to take responsibility for the crash initially.

8 News obtained police video from the scene, and in it, you can see the Lamborghini was a complete mess.

Lynch was eventually cited over the crash, and court records show he cut a plea deal with prosecutors in April to close out the case. Records show he was ordered to pay $750 in fines and fees.

Lynch's attorneys, Richard Schonfeld and David Chesnoff, told 8 News "this is a non-story" ... adding, "Marshawn addressed this matter many months ago and was found responsible for a parking violation."

SLEEPYHEAD

Lynch was later arrested in Vegas on Aug. 9, after cops say they found him asleep at the wheel of a banged-up 2020 Shelby GT500 near the strip. Officers say they smelled booze on him -- and after they claim he was uncooperative -- they arrested him and booked him on several charges, including DUI.

That case remains ongoing.

Paul Pelosi Damaged 2021 Porsche Set To Be Auctioned ... Following DUI Crash

Paul Pelosi's vehicle, which he was driving during his May DUI crash, is set to go to the highest bidder at an upcoming auction.

According to the listing on Copart.com, there's no date set for the auction yet ... but the 2021 Porsche 911 Carrera S has a retail value of $168,576 -- of course, that's before factoring in the wreck.

There was some damage done to the undercarriage and side of the car, especially that back bumper. The odometer shows the vehicle wasn't used much since first purchased -- it only has 2,738 miles.

Pelosi's ride is currently sitting at a lot in Martinez, CA -- about 30 miles away from Napa, where the accident went down.

As we reported, Nancy Pelosi's husband pled guilty to DUI this week, getting a sentence of 3 years probation and 5 days jail time, 4 of which were already served. He won't serve the one remaining day ... he'll enter a 8-hour court-ordered work program.

Recently-obtained photos from the May crash show the damage done to his car at the scene ... seemingly in worse condition than the Jeep that hit him.

We also got dashcam video from that night, showing Pelosi trying his hardest to avoid a breathalyzer test -- opting for a field sobriety test, which did not go well.

FAILING THE TEST
UPDATE

2:42 PM PT -- Paul Pelosi was dead set on performing field sobriety tests as long as it meant he didn't have to do the big one ... a breathalyzer.

UPDATE

TMZ has obtained dashcam video that shows what PP was put through after his car crash, and it looks like he was really wanting to show CHP officers that he was fine and not impaired ... insisting he could do balancing acts and whatever else they needed him to do.

UPDATE

Watch ... when one officer suggests just skipping all that and getting straight to blowing into a machine -- which is really all you need -- Paul says he'd rather do the other FSTs first. The officer asks him repeatedly if he's sure about that ... seeing how Paul appears a bit unsteady.

UPDATE

In the end, the officer says he suspects he's been drinking ... noting the dude can barely stand on his own without having to hold on to something. It seems that, among other clues, were enough for them to throw on the cuffs and drag him to jail.

Paul Pelosi's crash site from his DUI arrest looks worse than reports initially indicated ... as evidenced by the photos you can now see from the scene.

TMZ has obtained a ton of pictures that were taken on the night of May 28 in Napa, where House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's husband was busted for drinking and driving. We knew he was in some sort of accident with a Jeep ... but we didn't know the extent of the damage.

Check it out ... you can see both the Jeep and Paul's Porsche on the side of the road. It appears as though one or both vehicles tore through some wooden fencing ... which may have been connected to a business or vineyard of some sort.

It also looks like Paul's ride was more roughed up than the Jeep -- the rear of his car is smashed in. Of course, you also see Paul himself here ... milling around the wreckage.

FACING CHARGES

The cops have said all along that Paul's car was the one that was hit by the Jeep. Nevertheless, CHP suspected he was under the influence that night -- in the end, they took him in.

He just pled guilty to DUI this week ... receiving a sentence of 3 years probation and 5 days jail time, with credit for time served. He got credit for 4 days, 2 of which were for good behavior ... the final day will be served through 8 hours in a court-ordered work program.

The other parts of his probation entail attending 3 months of a DUI education course and having an interlock device installed in his vehicle for a year. He was also ordered to pay fines and restitution for the property damage.

Nancy Pelosi Husband Paul Pleads Guilty To DUI

Nancy Pelosi's husband, Paul, just pled guilty to a DUI charge stemming from his May car accident and arrest.

According to court records, obtained by TMZ, Pelosi pled guilty to one count of DUI. He was sentenced to three years probation and 5 days of jail time, with credit for time served.

As part of the probation terms, Pelosi has to complete 8 hours of a court work program, do a three-month drinking and driving course and put an ignition interlock device on his car for a year. He also has to pay a $150 fine.

TMZ broke the story ... Pelosi was involved in a car accident the night of May 28 near wine country -- cops said he was driving a 2021 Porsche when it was struck by a Jeep in a 2-vehicle crash.

The CHP officers who responded say Pelosi had "objective signs and symptoms of alcohol intoxication" -- watery eyes, slurred speech and a "strong odor" of alcohol on his breath.

According to the police report, Pelosi handed officers his "11-99 Foundation" card when they asked him for ID ... the foundation provides financial assistance and scholarships to CHP officers and their families.

He was charged with 2 misdemeanors the following month -- Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol Causing Injury, and Driving with .08% Blood Alcohol Level or Higher Causing Injury. Cops say his BAC was .082%, just over the legal limit.

Pelosi's attorney Amanda Bevins entered not guilty pleas for him at the beginning of August on both charges.

Scott Disick Photos Show Flipped Lamborghini After Wreck in Calabasas

UPDATE

7:49 PM PT -- We've now obtained photos of Scott's banged up Lamborghini ... and he's lucky he made it out with only minor injuries. It appears Disick, who was driving in The Oaks gated community, smashed into a stone mailbox, possibly the reason the vehicle flipped.

Scott Disick was involved in a car accident this weekend -- but it sounds like he's going to be okay ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... the reality star had his car dinged up Sunday while driving near Calabasas. Unclear where exactly this might've occurred out there, but we're told Scott's Lamborghini SUV rolled over in the wreck ... one that only involved his vehicle, and luckily not any others. We're told he was alone in the car, and didn't appear impaired.

Our sources say SD sustained a minor cut to his head, and that when paramedics arrived ... he refused medical attention. So it seems he wasn't seriously injured.

Again ... we're not entirely sure on what possibly made Scott's car to flip like this, but we are told that speed appears to have been a factor, based on a preliminary investigation by cops. Scott's Lambo was towed from the scene ... he was not cited in the end.

Scott has been out and about all over L.A. these past few days -- including an outing at Nobu with a mystery woman earlier in the week ... as well as another dinner at Giorgio Baldi on Saturday night, alongside none other than Rod Stewart's daughter, Kimberly.

A rescue mission unfolded to kick off the weekend for a handful of residents in Newport Beach -- where a woman somehow found herself and her car knee-deep in water.

Check out this wild scene from Friday evening in the Orange County beachside community ... drone footage shows a vehicle partially submerged after it apparently fell off the dock, part of which looks damaged.

Folks from nearby sprung into action, diving in to help the person inside -- who turned out to be a woman -- and you can see it was all hands on deck as they tried pulling her out.

At one point, you even see the trunk pop open -- which is something that one witness says ended up being the way they got her out ... not before smashing a couple windows, though, beforehand. Pretty dramatic stuff, and it all plays out on video with a bird's-eye view.

Ultimately, it sounds like everyone was okay ... including the driver.

Reports say Newport Beach PD is investigating this as a possible DUI. No word on how this person may have fallen in -- but if she was driving while impaired, there's your answer.

Anne Heche Salon Owner She Visited Before Crash Feels Guilt, Anger

It's an emotional conversation ... Richard thinks he might need therapy to make things right again.
