Charlie Sheen Car Theft -- Home Surveillance
For a second time, it looks like the car thieves who jacked Charlie Sheen's ride may have gotten away with it because of problems with surveillance video.
Law enforcement tells us Charlie had a surveillance camera at his house, but the video only shows one person who appears to be "messing with the car." Problem is ... the video is "very shadowy" and it might be impossible to identify the thief.
As for surveillance video at the guard gate -- we're told it shows "nothing that was useful."
Rewind to 4 months ago, when car thieves hit Charlie for the first time. Again, cops struck out in the video department and the crime went unsolved.

Earplug Sales Explode at World Cup
Those damn vuvuzela horns aren't pissing everybody off in South Africa -- TMZ has learned earplug sales have gone through the roof since the World Cup began on Thursday.
TMZ spoke to two major earplug suppliers based in South Africa -- Ear Plugs Online and Sheppard Medical -- and each are boasting ENORMOUS increases in sales since last week.
A rep for EPO tells us their sales are up 121% -- selling more than 10,000 sets of plugs and counting. Sheppard Medical tells us they've moved more than 400,000 sets since kickoff -- a 20% increase.
Both companies attribute the increase to those damn horns -- which people are constantly blaring both in stadiums and on the streets. Reps for both companies tell us neither would be surprised if they each sold over one million sets by the end of the World Cup.

Charlie Sheen Left Keys in the Car -- Again
Law enforcement sources say the theft of Charlie Sheen's car -- the second such heist in 4 months -- was made easy because Charlie didn't learn his lesson.
We're told Charlie left his keys in the car, which was parked in his driveway in a gated community. He did the exact same thing 4 months ago when his car was stolen and ditched on Mulholland Drive -- about a mile from where his car was ditched today.
Cops have already been to Sheen's home today. Charlie told them the last time he noticed his vehicle sitting in the driveway was at around 4 PM. He said he had no idea the car was stolen until cops showed up.
Law enforcement sources say cops actually joked when they got the call early this morning that it was Charlie's car, never really believing lightning would strike twice. One law enforcement source calls the most recent incident "suspicious."
We're told detectives are going back to Charlie's neighborhood later today, to see if surveillance tape at the guard shack shows the car leaving the property. The guard shack exit is the only way out, but for some reason there was no video of the first heist.
The culprits in the first theft were never caught.

Charlie Sheen's Car Over a Cliff ... Again
TMZ has learned Charlie Sheen's car went over a cliff in the Hollywood Hills -- but Charlie was not in the car ... he was at home, when police called to report the accident ... and it's the second time in 4 months the exact same thing has happened to him.
Fire and police responded to a call ... that a car had been ditched off the side of Mulholland Drive at around 3AM, according to LAPD.
We're told officers arrived on the scene and found a Mercedes at the bottom of the cliff -- and after running the registration discovered it was Charlie's ride.
Just like 4 months ago ... police are at Sheen's house -- not far from the wreck -- making out a stolen vehicle report. Technically, it's stolen and recovered at this point.
Back in February ... a number of cars were vandalized in the same area where Charlie lives. In addition to Charlie's car, a Bentley was also rolled off the cliff.
This time around ... cops tell TMZ as far as they know Charlie's car was the only target.

The Situation -- Un-Real Diva
Sources at "Jersey Shore" tell TMZ hands down ... the diva is The Situation, and he's made taping Season 2 extremely difficult.
We're told Sitch is now convinced he knows more about producing the show than the producers or MTV. As one source put it, "It's gotten ridiculous. If we tell him not to cross the street, he will. He just defies us."
What's worse ... producers are trying to keep the cast real ... so they're not making deals on the phone or bragging to castmates and others about their fame or their wallet. In that department, The Situation is out of control. As a result, a lot of what's already been shot is unusable, because it doesn't even resemble a reality show.
And here's what's pissing off producers the most. We're told the cast gets one time a week where they can take care of their personal business deals off camera. Sitch is on the phone all the time. We're told he thinks people want to see him wheeling and dealing on the phone, and it has driven producers crazy.
Bottom line ... there's a lot of tape that people will never see -- it's an unreal situation.

First Lady Rolls Deep in Hollywood
First Lady Michelle Obama and her massive entourage shared a Hollywood hot spot tonight with none other than Ryan Seacrest.
A TMZ photog just spotted First Lady O leaving Osteria Mozza with a little girl -- we're guessing it's Malia or Sasha -- and a baller security detail: 1 CHP patrol car, 4 SUVs, and about a half dozen CHP motorcycle cops.
One major hint someone big was inside -- when Ryan walked out (about an hour before Michelle) and all the security stayed behind. Not many people in town bigger than Seacrest.
Plus, Ryan pointed our camera toward the restaurant and said "there is a bigger story than me right now, trust me!"
Oh, and by the way we just had an earthquake. Busy night in the zone.

We're told the two have been dating for roughly a month.

New Michael Jackson Video Game for Xmas
Michael Jackson is still on the cutting edge of technology -- TMZ has learned the King of Pop is set to star in a new revolutionary video game ... and the people in charge of MJ's estate are totally on board.
The game -- currently untitled -- will essentially be "dance karaoke" ... which means gamers will see Michael Jackson dancing on screen and will then be challenged to imitate his moves.
The game will be available on multiple platforms including Wii and Xbox 360. The Xbox version will incorporate Microsoft's new Kinect motion capture technology -- which will allow the gamer to play without holding a controller.
Also in the Xbox version, the gamer will be judged based on full body movements. The game will process the movements and display the gamer's avatar on screen ... dancing right next to MJ.
And there's more -- the game also includes a karaoke feature, in which gamers can sing MJ songs like "Billie Jean" ... and even mess around with their voice thanks to an autotune feature.
The game is being developed by Ubisoft -- the same people behind Assassin's Creed and Ghost Recon -- and we're told Ubisoft properly secured permission from the MJ estate ... so it's all legit.
The game is scheduled to hit shelves sometime before Christmas.

Los Angeles Mayor Gets Restraining Order
TMZ has learned Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa just got a restraining order against a man who threatened to "take him out."
According to docs obtained by TMZ, Daniel John Molnar called the Mayor's Office last Thursday and said, "The Mayor knows who I am. The Mayor is talking a lot of s**t. You tell him that I'm going to take him out."
We're told the Mayor's Office used caller ID to find the 46-year-old Molnar, who lives in the mid-Wilshire area of L.A. He was arrested 3 hours later and charged with making criminal threats.
We're told the L.A. County District Attorney decided today it would reject the criminal case, on grounds of insufficient evidence. As a result, Molnar was released.
The L.A. City Attorney's Office got a restraining order today on the Mayor's behalf, which orders Molnar to stay 100 yards away from the Mayor's home and City Hall. He's also prohibited from engaging in any communication with the Mayor or his staff.
In his his declaration, the Mayor wrote, "I believe the threats uttered by Daniel John Molnar to be credible, and am concerned for the safety of the employees of my Office, myself and my family when Daniel John Molnar is near."
Dr. Conrad Murray Gets a Hallelujah
Dr. Conrad Murray got a bigger show of support in Houston than Michael Jackson got in L.A. today.
Nearly 400 of Dr. Murray's faithfuls showed up this AM at the Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in Acres Homes -- a poor community in Houston, TX -- where Murray does a lot of charity work.
The rally coincided with Murray's court appearance, and it was designed to counter the anti-Murray sentiments outside the L.A. criminal courthouse.

Gary Coleman Don't Pull the Plug on Me!
TMZ has obtained legal documents signed by Gary Coleman in 2006 in which the actor specifically directed that he did not want anyone to pull the plug on him ... if he was ever in that situation.
The documents were ironically filed by Shannon Price -- Gary's ex-wife -- the person who authorized doctors to take Gary off life support last month. Price has filed the docs in an effort to be granted control over the disposition of Gary's body.
Among the documents filed today by Shannon is a health care power of attorney which Gary filled out in 2006. Under the heading "Instructions for Health Care" -- Gary checked a box titled "Choice to Prolong Life" which states, "I want my life to be prolonged as long as possible within the limits of generally accepted health care standards."
The other option Gary had -- "Choice Not to Prolong Life" -- was left unchecked.
In the docs, Shannon explains her decision to end Gary's life saying she was "forced" to pull the plug. She does not explain why she felt forced.

Conan O'Brien at TBS -- Coco Signs of Success
Conan O'Brien met with TBS execs this morning in Hotlanta -- and if the crazy "Welcome Home" signs are any clue, network employees couldn't be happier that Coco is playing on their team.
It all went down before lunchtime today at the network's headquarters -- where an insane crowd of TBS employees went ballistic to welcome their newest star.
Conan took the mic to address the mob, saying, "Thank you for welcoming me to your home." He added, "We are going to make great television ... and I'm not talking about my show."

Katherine Jackson's Lawyer Goes After Joe Jackson
Joe Jackson's cruel attack -- that his wife, Katherine, is responsible for Michael's death, is but the latest in a rich history of reckless, untrue comments ... so says Katherine's lawyer and the lawyer for Michael Jackson's estate.
Katherine is not commenting on what amounts to her husband's declaration of war -- that she refused to "keep [Michael] cheered up" because she didn't want to invade his privacy, and he'd be alive today if she had.
Katherine's lawyer, Adam Streisand, tells TMZ, "The world knows that Mrs. Jackson has always been a loving mother and grandmother, and that she and Michael had a very special relationship." Streisand then drives it home: "The world also knows who Joe Jackson is and he seems bent on never letting us forget."
Howard Weitzman, lawyer for the Michael Jackson estate, tells TMZ, "The inference by Joe Jackson that Mrs. Jackson was in any way responsible for Michael's death is preposterous. Katherine Jackson was a supportive and loving mother throughout Michael's life. His love and respect for her is reflected in his estate plan." Ouch ... and true.
Now here's how Joe may have screwed himself. He's not included in Michael's will and no matter how hard he tries to invalidate the will, he's going to end up with nothing in that department. The chances of Joe getting a court-approved allowance from the estate are slim to none. And Joe is trying to exploit Michael's name to make money, but his unauthorized attempts have pretty much been shut down by the estate.
So the only thing Joe has been able to rely on ... Katherine's generosity in the money department. Looks like that gravy train may have finally left the station.

Tiger Woods' Alleged Mistress -- I'm Not Guilty!
She may be guilty of felony homewrecking, but Jaimee Grubbs insisted in Bev Hills court this AM ... she did not break California traffic laws.
Grubbs appeared before Judge Marsha Revel, who's handling another famous alleged lawbreaker -- one Lindsay Lohan.
Grubbs pleaded not guilty to two counts of driving on a suspended license. TMZ broke the story ... Grubbs was arrested in West Hollywood back in April on outstanding warrants.
She's due back in court on August 4.
Outside of court, Jaimee was holding hands with a new man ... who we assume isn't married.

Arnie Klein -- Joe Jackson's a Hypocrite!
Dr. Arnold Klein -- the man who was probably closest to Michael Jackson -- came out swinging against Joe Jackson, claiming the elder Jackson could have tried talking Michael off a ledge, but all he cared about was making money.
Dr. Klein tells TMZ, "Michael was very close to Katherine, but Joe talked to him too, but all Joe ever wanted to talk about was business. Everything Joe utters is nonsensical."
Joe is taking lots of flack for telling News of the World Katherine is responsible for Michael's death by not trying to cheer him up.
But Klein says he's over the drama: "I'm no longer interested in the Sodom and Gomorrah show on Havenhurst (the family home). My main concern is the welfare of the children, especially Michael's, and the preservation of Michael's memory."

Lindsay Lohan Crisis Deepens Without Hired Help
The woman who just quit Lindsay Lohan was not just an assistant -- she was her lifeline -- and LiLo's friends are worried this is the beginning of a total unravel.
Friends of Lohan tell us Lindsay is going to have a hard time finding anyone reliable to sign on, and without an assistant she will never keep the appointments that could make the difference between freedom and jail.
For starters, Lindsay is legally prohibited from driving and relies on her assistant to take her here and there -- including her alcohol ed courses.
We're also told Lindsay is incredibly disorganized and can't function without someone leading her by the nose. She seems incapable of scheduling meetings, doctor's appointments, or work projects.
Bottom line ... for us an assistant is a luxury. For Lindsay it's make or break.
