1:31 PM PT -- Harvey Weinstein is "not doing great," his rep Juda Engelmayer tells TMZ.

We're told the fallen film legend is having "major heart surgery" today after he first began experiencing chest pains at Rikers Island prison.

However, Weinstein still plans to appear in court on Thursday ... but will only attend if he's well enough to do so.

Harvey Weinstein is undergoing emergency surgery mere days before he is due in court in NYC ... TMZ has learned.

The controversial film producer was rushed to Bellevue Hospital in New York from Rikers Island prison Monday for emergency heart surgery after experiencing pains in his chest, his lawyer confirmed to TMZ.

Weinstein was held at Rikers ahead of his court appearance, where prosecutors are hoping to secure a new indictment against Weinstein after his prior rape conviction in NYC was overturned in April.

The father of the suspect charged with murdering four people at a Georgia high school has been arrested himself, after authorities learned he gave his son the AR-15 used in the mass shooting as a Christmas gift.

Alleged shooter Colt Gray's father, Colin Gray, was arrested Thursday in connection with Wednesday's shooting at Apalachee High School, in which Colt is accused of gunning down two students and two teachers.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says the father is facing 4 counts of involuntary manslaughter, 2 counts of second-degree murder and 8 counts of cruelty to children.

Jasveen Sangha, who federal prosecutors allege is a drug dealer known as the "Ketamine Queen," has NO association with Matthew Perry, despite being charged in connection with his death ... at least according to her attorney.

Mark Geragos' firm is representing Sangha and he went on the "Today" show Wednesday morning and tried to distance Sangha from the late "Friends" actor, who died from a ketamine overdose.

When asked how Sangha linked up with Matthew in the first place, Geragos vehemently denied they were ever connected, saying point blank ... "She isn't connected to Matthew Perry at all."

Isaac Freeman III, aka Fatman Scoop, has died after the iconic musician collapsed onstage Friday night.

Scoop's tour manager broke the sad news when he said of the Grammy-winner, "I am honestly lost for words… You took me all over the world and had me performing alongside you on some of the biggest and greatest stages on this planet, the things you taught me have truely made me the man I am today. Thank you so much, I love you x."

Reminisce Festival, where Fatman Scoop was set to perform Sept. 7 also posted to Instagram saying, "It is with the deepest sorrow that we at Reminisce have received the devastating news of the tragic passing of the legendary Isaac Freeman III, known to us all as Fatman Scoop. This loss has left us all heartbroken."

Not long after, his family also released a statement, which said in part ... "He was the laughter in ours lives, a constant source of support, unwavering strength and courage."

Wendy Williams is returning to public life ... resurfacing for the first time in more than a year.

The former talk show host popped up in public last week in her home state of New Jersey, shopping at a holistic wellness store in Newark with her son, Kevin Hunter Jr.

It's the first time we've seen Wendy in public since her dementia diagnosis ... she's smiling in a photo with the shop owner, holding shopping bags and a bunch of different colored roses.

He thanked all his volunteers across the country and campaign staff. He then handed his support to Donald Trump.

Taylor Swift says her silence about the bombing plot at her Vienna concerts was part of a coordinated effort with police to keep London fans safe -- but now she's revealing the dread she's felt since then.

Taylor spoke out Wednesday -- the day after ending the European leg of her "Eras" tour -- and says she was devastated the 3 shows in Vienna had to be canceled, and "The reason for the cancellations filled me with a new sense of fear, and a tremendous amount of guilt because so many people had planned on coming to those shows."

Two of the 4 men arrested in the slaying of "General Hospital" star Johnny Wactor have been slapped with murder charges.

Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced the charges Monday ... while 4 men have been charged with multiple felonies in connection with Wactor's death, only 2 were hit with murder counts.

Prosecutors say 18-year-olds Robert Barceleau and Sergio Estrada are both charged with Wactor's murder.

Phil Donahue, the longtime host of "The Phil Donahue Show," has died ... his family confirmed.

The media personality's death was announced on the "Today" show early Monday morning, where a statement was shared from Donahue's loved ones -- including wife of over 40 years, Marlo Thomas -- who were by his side when he passed away Sunday evening following a long illness. No further details were shared into his cause of death.

Donahue, who hosted his eponymous talk show for 29 years, was known as a trailblazing TV journalist ... as he pioneered the daytime TV format we now know.

Kamala Harris has a running mate ... he is Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

Walz has been stumping hard for Harris since President Biden stepped aside and endorsed her ... and you may have seen him leading the charge, calling Donald Trump and J.D. Vance "weird."

The 60-year-old was elected Governor of Minnesota in 2018, and reelected in 2022. With Minnesota considered a Democratic-leaning swing state in the upcoming presidential election, Walz could help Harris secure some much-needed electoral college votes if they win his state. He's very popular in the Midwest, so he could also help in battleground states such as Wisconsin.

3:48 PM PT -- When asked why Efron was taken to the hospital for a minor incident, his rep once again reiterated it was purely a precautionary measure. However, the rep did not say what caused him to be in distress in the pool.

2:38 PM PT -- The rep for Efron did not reply as to how this could be a minor incident when he was taken out of the pool and sent to the hospital.

12:47 PM PT -- Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Zac was found inside the swimming pool by two people working at the villa who pulled him out of the water.

Zac Efron was taken to a hospital in Spain after an incident in a swimming pool, but he's doing just fine now ... TMZ has learned.

A rep for Efron tells TMZ ... Zac was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure after what they describe as a "minor swimming incident" at a villa in Ibiza Friday night.

We're told he was released from the hospital this morning, and he's recovering just fine.

Khalid Shaikh Mohammed as well as two of his alleged accomplices -- Walid Muhammad Salih Mubarak bin Attash and Mustafa Ahmed Adam al-Hawsawi -- have agreed to plead guilty to conspiracy charges as it pertains to the 2001 attacks ... and instead of a lengthy death penalty trial ... they'll just serve life sentences.

These guys have been held at Guantanamo Bay since 2006 -- first being held at secret CIA prisons -- and there's been years of proceedings to have them face the many charges over the deaths of thousands of Americans.

Tampa police feel like they're on the right track to solving rapper Julio Foolio's murder ... 3 people were arrested in connection with the deadly shooting and cops say they're closing in on 2 more!!!

On Monday, Tampa PD held a press conference announcing the arrests of and first-degree murder charges for Isaiah Chance, Alicia Andrews and Sean Gathright. The suspects were all nabbed in Jacksonville.

Cops also released new footage of the June 23 deadly shooting ... and it shows multiple masked gunmen zipping around the Tampa Holiday Inn parking lot, taking position in bushes and firing dozens of rounds into the vehicle carrying Julio.

Kamala Harris’ 2024 presidential campaign just got a massive boost — and it comes from none other than Barack and Michelle Obama!

The former president and first lady endorsed Harris' presidential bid in a video released Friday on social media ... although the call apparently happened earlier this week. Harris gets a joint phone call from the Obamas, where they gush over her and say they'll do everything they can to get her into the Oval Office.

Harvey Weinstein is battling a slew of health issues from a prison hospital ... including the coronavirus and pneumonia.

Weinstein has been transferred to Bellevue Hospital Prison Ward in Manhattan, where he's being treated for diabetes, high blood pressure, spinal stenosis and other conditions ... his rep, Juda Engelmayer, confirmed to TMZ.

Weinstein's camp says he's also tested positive for COVID-19 and double pneumonia. The health update was first reported Thursday by NBC News.
