Two of the 4 men arrested in the slaying of "General Hospital" star Johnny Wactor have been slapped with murder charges.

Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced the charges Monday ... while 4 men have been charged with multiple felonies in connection with Wactor's death, only 2 were hit with murder counts.

Prosecutors say 18-year-olds Robert Barceleau and Sergio Estrada are both charged with Wactor's murder.

Phil Donahue, the longtime host of "The Phil Donahue Show," has died ... his family confirmed.

The media personality's death was announced on the "Today" show early Monday morning, where a statement was shared from Donahue's loved ones -- including wife of over 40 years, Marlo Thomas -- who were by his side when he passed away Sunday evening following a long illness. No further details were shared into his cause of death.

Donahue, who hosted his eponymous talk show for 29 years, was known as a trailblazing TV journalist ... as he pioneered the daytime TV format we now know.

Kamala Harris has a running mate ... he is Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

Walz has been stumping hard for Harris since President Biden stepped aside and endorsed her ... and you may have seen him leading the charge, calling Donald Trump and J.D. Vance "weird."

The 60-year-old was elected Governor of Minnesota in 2018, and reelected in 2022. With Minnesota considered a Democratic-leaning swing state in the upcoming presidential election, Walz could help Harris secure some much-needed electoral college votes if they win his state. He's very popular in the Midwest, so he could also help in battleground states such as Wisconsin.

3:48 PM PT -- When asked why Efron was taken to the hospital for a minor incident, his rep once again reiterated it was purely a precautionary measure. However, the rep did not say what caused him to be in distress in the pool.

2:38 PM PT -- The rep for Efron did not reply as to how this could be a minor incident when he was taken out of the pool and sent to the hospital.

12:47 PM PT -- Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Zac was found inside the swimming pool by two people working at the villa who pulled him out of the water.

Zac Efron was taken to a hospital in Spain after an incident in a swimming pool, but he's doing just fine now ... TMZ has learned.

A rep for Efron tells TMZ ... Zac was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure after what they describe as a "minor swimming incident" at a villa in Ibiza Friday night.

We're told he was released from the hospital this morning, and he's recovering just fine.

Khalid Shaikh Mohammed as well as two of his alleged accomplices -- Walid Muhammad Salih Mubarak bin Attash and Mustafa Ahmed Adam al-Hawsawi -- have agreed to plead guilty to conspiracy charges as it pertains to the 2001 attacks ... and instead of a lengthy death penalty trial ... they'll just serve life sentences.

These guys have been held at Guantanamo Bay since 2006 -- first being held at secret CIA prisons -- and there's been years of proceedings to have them face the many charges over the deaths of thousands of Americans.

Tampa police feel like they're on the right track to solving rapper Julio Foolio's murder ... 3 people were arrested in connection with the deadly shooting and cops say they're closing in on 2 more!!!

On Monday, Tampa PD held a press conference announcing the arrests of and first-degree murder charges for Isaiah Chance, Alicia Andrews and Sean Gathright. The suspects were all nabbed in Jacksonville.

Cops also released new footage of the June 23 deadly shooting ... and it shows multiple masked gunmen zipping around the Tampa Holiday Inn parking lot, taking position in bushes and firing dozens of rounds into the vehicle carrying Julio.

Kamala Harris’ 2024 presidential campaign just got a massive boost — and it comes from none other than Barack and Michelle Obama!

The former president and first lady endorsed Harris' presidential bid in a video released Friday on social media ... although the call apparently happened earlier this week. Harris gets a joint phone call from the Obamas, where they gush over her and say they'll do everything they can to get her into the Oval Office.

Needless to say, VP Harris is incredibly grateful and goes on to thank them for their continuous support and friendship over the years.

Harvey Weinstein is battling a slew of health issues from a prison hospital ... including the coronavirus and pneumonia.

Weinstein has been transferred to Bellevue Hospital Prison Ward in Manhattan, where he's being treated for diabetes, high blood pressure, spinal stenosis and other conditions ... his rep, Juda Engelmayer, confirmed to TMZ.

Weinstein's camp says he's also tested positive for COVID-19 and double pneumonia. The health update was first reported Thursday by NBC News.

U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) released the footage capturing Secret Service agents chatting with law enforcement officers in military gear as they stood on the roof around Crooks' corpse minutes after the 20-year-old was shot to death by a sniper.

As you know, Crooks fired shots at Trump with AR-15-style rifle while the Republican presidential nominee was giving a stump speech in Butler, PA. Trump was grazed in his right ear while 3 spectators were also shot -- one fatally.

President Biden is waving the white flag on his reelection bid ... dropping out of the race for the White House amid mounting pressure from within his own party.

POTUS announced Sunday he will not be at the top of the Democratic ticket in 2024 in a lengthy statement published to X ... saying it's in the best interests of the nation for him to step aside.

Irv Gotti is fighting back against the sexual assault allegations leveled against him in a new lawsuit ... and he's pondering one of his own.

A rep for the Murder Inc. Records head honcho reacted Thursday to the civil lawsuit filed in Miami-Dade County by a Jane Doe, and Gotti's camp is claiming the plaintiff pulled some shady business.

According to the rep, the suit "was filed after Mr. Gotti rejected the attempt by this individual to coerce a payment of money from him. The lawsuit contains a single page of 'facts' which are unsworn to, sparse by any measure, and which Mr. Gotti categorically denies."

New footage appears to show would-be Donald Trump assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks lurking in the background of the rally ... an hour before he shot at the former president.

In video recorded by a man who attended Saturday's rally, you can see a person matching Crooks' description -- and he's pacing around the event's perimeter, just on the outskirts of the main event ... right by the building Crooks climbed an hour later to take aim at Trump.

The footage was obtained by WTAE-TV Pittsburgh ... and the Trump supporter who filmed it says when he looked over his footage and noticed Crooks in the background, he couldn't sleep ... let alone believe he'd captured the shooter inadvertently.

Brandon Aiyuk's days in the Bay Area might be numbered ... 'cause the NFL star has officially requested a trade from the San Francisco 49ers.

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo broke the news on Tuesday ... saying the 26-year-old wide receiver has asked the team to find him a new dance partner after an offseason of failed negotiations over a long-term deal.

Aiyuk is owed around $14 mil, from the 49ers this season, but with wide receivers seeing pay increases around the league ... the four-year pro would like to see his paycheck go up as well.

Thomas Matthew Crooks -- the would-be assassin who tried and failed to take out Donald Trump -- now has an official cause of death in the books ... if it wasn't already obvious.

The Butler County Coroner tells TMZ ... Crooks died from a gunshot wound to the head, and the coroner is ruling his death a homicide. Of course, he was shot and killed by a Secret Service agent after he opened fire into the crowd in Butler, PA this weekend.

To be clear, "homicide" is the manner of death, and not a crime ... like murder or manslaughter. The coroner's ruling in no way suggests the Secret Service snipers were in unjustified in taking out Crooks ... who had not only opened fire on a former President, but also shot and killed a citizen in the crowd.
