White House Cocaine Possibly Found in West Wing ... Fire IDs It as Blow
-

Cocaine may have been found inside the White House this weekend -- and it appears to have been discovered in an area that President Biden frequents a lot on the job.
The Secret Service says it discovered a white powdery substance Sunday night in the West Wing during routine rounds. It's unclear where exactly in the West Wing it was found -- but a spokesperson for the agency will only say agents stumbled upon it in a "work area."
The SS rep also notes any notion the substance might've been found in the executive mansion is false. While Secret Service won't disclose where the alleged coke lay, it appears DC's FEMS let the cat outta the bag ... reportedly relaying via dispatch it was in the library.
POTUS was not at the White House during this entire ordeal, BTW.
The discovery of the unknown powder prompted an increased security alert and a brief evacuation of the premises, and tests are being done to decide what it might be. WaPo, citing sources familiar with the matter, says preliminary tests suggest it is, in fact, blow.
Speaking of that dispatch audio from earlier ... it seems a firefighter who was on the ground firmly believed cocaine was the culprit, -- telling the department's hazardous materials team that a test they conducted indicated "cocaine hydrochloride." No ambiguity at all.
Officials are saying the substance did not pose a threat, and an investigation is underway as to how it made its way into the White House ... and, obviously, who brought it in.
Biden and his family left the White House Friday and returned Tuesday. The White House punted in a response to us -- saying they're deferring to the Secret Service on this.

U.S. Supreme Court STRIKES DOWN AFFIRMATIVE ACTION Universities Can’t Consider Race in Admissions
The Supreme Court just ruled that affirmative action in university admission violates the Equal Protection Clause of the United States Constitution.
All six Republican-appointed justices voted to strike down affirmative action. Chief Justice John Roberts wrote the majority decision.
The impact of the decision is enormous ... no longer can private or public universities in the United States expressly consider race as a factor in admissions. Many supporters of affirmative action fear that higher education in America will now significantly favor white and Asian students, and largely exclude other minority groups.
The Court did say, however, that schools may still consider non-race-based factors such as socio-economic diversity and diversity of experiences, so it is unlikely universities will return to the days of old when they were the exclusive bastion of rich, white kids.
Affirmative action was never a complete answer in the drive towards a more just society. But for generations of students who had been systematically excluded from most of America’s key institutions—it gave us the chance to show we more than deserved a seat at the table.

The ruling today effectively overturns one of the most significant cases in Supreme Court history – University of California v. Bakke – in which the Court said that racial diversity among a university’s student body is such a compelling public good, that it justifies admissions systems that favor underrepresented minorities.

Diddy Nice Try, Diageo Dropping Me Won't End This Lawsuit!!!
-
Breaking News
- 1.1K shares
Diddy's ongoing lawsuit with alcohol dealer Diageo just took a nasty turn, with the booze brand announcing they were cutting ties after he filed suit last month ... but Diddy is firing back.
Diddy's attorney John C. Hueston tells TMZ Hip Hop Diageo's attempts to shut out the Bad Boy mogul is essentially like "firing a whistleblower who calls out racism. It’s a cynical and transparent attempt to distract from multiple allegations of discrimination."
Let the weekend vibes flow. #ThisIsDeLeon 🥃 pic.twitter.com/vYOiMdK8BB
— DeLeón Tequila™ (@DeLeonTequila) June 24, 2023 @DeLeonTequila
Hueston says Diddy repeatedly raised concerns regarding Diageo's senior execs allegedly using racially insensitive comments prior to filing the lawsuit, which they claim caused biased decision-making on the company's part.
For it's part, a Diageo spokesperson tells us, "We are saddened that Mr. Combs has chosen to recast a business dispute as anything other than that and chosen to damage a productive and valued partnership. Mr. Combs’ bad-faith actions have clearly breached his contracts and left us no choice but to move to dismiss his baseless complaint and end our business relationship. Mr. Combs has repeatedly undermined our partnerships and threatened to publicly defame Diageo if we did not meet his unreasonable financial demands."
They continue, "Diageo believes strongly in the CIRÔC and DeLeón brands and remains committed to their success, which is why we tried for years to salvage the broken relationship with Mr. Combs. We funded the purchase of DeLeón for the joint venture and proceeded to invest more than $100 million to grow the brand. Despite having made nearly a billion dollars over the course of our 15-year relationship, Mr. Combs contributed a total of $1,000 and refused to honor his commitments. We have exhausted every reasonable remedy and see no other path forward."
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
Diageo is said to have acknowledged the issues by specifying in Diddy's contract that they'd treat his DeLeon tequila the same as other tequila brands, and he only filed the lawsuit in hopes to enforce the contract's fine print.
Hueston tells us Diageo's latest move won't make the lawsuit or Diddy go away ... which is clearly in line with his life's motto of "Can't stop, won't stop!!!"

MrBeast I Was Invited to Ride Doomed Sub ... That Could've Been Me
MrBeast was almost one of the people who perished on the Titanic submersible -- but, lucky for him, he had the foresight to steer clear of the doomed trip under the sea.
The YouTube star made the revelation Sunday, taking to Twitter to write ... "I was invited earlier this month to ride the titanic submarine, I said no. Kind of scary that I could have been on it." He also attached a screenshot of a text message he says he received.
I was invited earlier this month to ride the titanic submarine, I said no. Kind of scary that I could have been on it pic.twitter.com/bQUnaRiczA
— MrBeast (@MrBeast) June 25, 2023 @MrBeast
It reads, "I'm going to the Titanic in a submarine late this month. The team would be stoked to have you along. I'm sure you're also welcome to join." Unclear who sent it -- but, on its face, this presumably came from one of the five passengers who were killed onboard.
There's been a lot of reflection in hindsight following the tragedy -- a lot of people are bringing up stories and examples of experts who tried sounding the alarm about some of the Titan's safety features ... with some, including James Cameron, insisting it wasn't up to snuff.
Titan completed successful missions -- including some to the Titanic -- before ... but many say it was just a matter of time before the thing ran into trouble. Obviously, that manifested.
Other notable individuals have come forward to say they, too, turned down opportunities to ride OceanGate's ill-fated submersible ... including financier Jay Bloom and actor Ross Kemp. Even more online have been mocking what they say was a disaster waiting to happen.
OceanGate has tried defending its operation in the wake of all this -- but it's a losing battle, it seems ... most everyone appears to be on the same page here ... this was a bad idea.
As you know ... there's been criticism aimed at authorities for letting the public believe there was hope in finding the passengers, when in reality -- they died soon after going under.

Victor Wembanyama Spurs Take Phenom With First Pick ... No Surprises Here!!!
The San Antonio Spurs just made the easiest decision in franchise history ... taking international sensation Victor Wembanyama with the first pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.
The 19-year-old French big man was the most hyped prospect since LeBron James ... in large in part due to his 7'5" frame, smooth ball-handling skills and impressive shooting ability.
In fact, Wemby was a massive betting favorite to have his name called first on Thursday at -50000 odds (you'd have to bet $50k just to win a hundred bucks).
Wembanyama was a star for the LNB Pro A's Metropolitans 92 this past season ... racking up 21.6 points, 10.4 rebounds and 3 blocks a game.
The selection was pretty much set in stone after the ping pong balls landed in the Spurs' favor at the Draft Lottery last month ... which was unofficially dubbed the Wemby Sweepstakes.
Wemby is already a massive star in the States ... as there have been massive crowds following him throughout NYC this week.
The rest of the draft will get a bit more interesting ... with stars like Scoot Henderson and Brandon Miller slated to round out the top 3.
One thing's for sure ... Wemby won't have to pay for a meal in San Antonio again.
Welcome to the league, rook!!

Titanic-Bound Submersible 5 Passengers Dead 'Catastrophic Implosion'
-
Breaking News
- 8.3K shares
The 5 passengers aboard the submersible that went missing while attempting to explore the Titanic wreckage are dead ... according to the expedition company.
OceanGate Inc. gave a statement Thursday, saying those aboard the Titan vessel "have sadly been lost" ... calling them "true explorers who shared a distinct spirit of adventure, and a deep passion for exploring and protecting the world's oceans."
Officials say they located a debris field about 1,600 feet from the bow of the Titanic wreckage. Within that debris field, there was 5 "major" pieces of debris discovered to lead them to believe the vessel imploded.
The announcement comes just hours after a debris field was spotted near the Titanic's wreckage Thursday, and experts quickly got to work on evaluating what they found ... while a friend of 2 of the missing men claimed it was a landing frame and rear cover of the vessel.
The 22-foot-long sub, dubbed Titan, was first reported missing Sunday evening by its parent company, OceanGate Expeditions. The org says it first lost communication with its deep-sea voyagers about a couple hours into their descent ... and flagged the authorities hours later when it failed to emerge to the surface when it was scheduled to.
Since then, the U.S. Coast Guard and even Canadian officials have engaged in a full-blown search and rescue effort -- deploying all sorts of teams and equipment in hopes of finding Titan ... not to mention its five occupants, including OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush -- who's said to have been piloting the submersible on this particular mission.
OceanGate offers tourism rides down to the Titanic for $250k a pop. The other people who were inside included British explorer Hamish Harding, researcher/diver Paul-Henri Nargeolet and Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood, as well as his son Suleman.
The sub is reported to have limited life support ... including only 96 hours worth of breathable air which would have run out Thursday morning.
Search crews detected banging noises over their sonars during the hunt on Tuesday in the Atlantic Ocean, going off in 30-minute intervals ... and according to CNN, an internal U.S. government memo says the noise would help assist the crew in finding the vessel.
OceanGates' technology for its submersible has also come under scrutiny in recent days. While parts of Titan were made with top technology, other elements -- including several components on the inside -- were revealed to have been comprised of makeshift consumer goods ... including gaming remote controls, basic light fixtures, and other simple parts.
Reports have indicated that a former employee of OceanGate once tried flagging what he claimed were safety concerns about Titan to his bosses in 2018 -- only to be allegedly fired after doing so ... at least according to a whistleblower complaint detailing his allegations.
Experts have said the likelihood of the passengers' survival was slim to none, considering the circumstances.
Even former Coast Guard Captain Andrew Norris filled us in on the multiple miracles that would be needed in order to ensure the passengers survived the terrifying incident.
We covered all in the latest episode of The TMZ Podcast, available on all podcast platforms.

Titanic Search 'Debris Field' Discovered Close to Site of Shipwreck
-

10:18 AM PT -- A friend of two of the men missing was just on Sky News and claims the debris found was a "landing frame and a rear cover from the submersible."
A possible break in the search for the missing Titanic submersible, as rescuers have discovered a debris field near the site of the famous ship's wreckage.
A tweet from the U.S. Coast Guard Northeast account Thursday states, "A debris field was discovered within the search area by an ROV near the Titanic. Experts within the unified command are evaluating the information."
It's currently unclear what type of debris was found, or if there's reason to believe it has anything to do with OceanGate's missing Titan submersible.
In a press conference Wednesday, officials said other non-related debris had been found during the search.
The announcement comes one day after officials announced they'd heard underwater noise on several occasions during the search ... but that evidence has not yet yielded any results.
It was early Thursday morning when it became assumed the vessel's 96-hour emergency oxygen supply had run out.
As we reported, OceanGate lost contact with Titan about 2 hours into its trip Sunday morning. There's been zero sign of the vessel since.

Tyreek Hill is under police investigation, TMZ Sports has confirmed ... after the NFL star was accused of getting physical with somebody in Miami on Sunday.
Cops confirmed the probe to us on Tuesday ... though they did not disclose further details of the case, only saying they were investigating an alleged assault/battery involving the Dolphins player.
According to Local 10 News, however, the alleged incident happened at Haulover Marina after Hill got into a dispute with an employee of a charter company at the popular South Florida boating spot.
The outlet reported Tuesday the 29-year-old receiver was accused of putting his hands on the employee at some point during the altercation.
Hill has been seen on social media on boats multiple times this week ... on Father's Day, he shared a snap of him while out on the water on his IG story -- and on Tuesday, his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, showed the two were at sea fishing near a shark.
But, neither Hill nor Rosenhaus have publicly commented on the police probe.
Hill has been the subject of police investigations before -- most notably, back in 2019, he was named in a child abuse report ... though he was never charged with a crime in that case.

Tekashi 6ix9ine has officially moved on from the grimy street raps that both powered his early career and got him into trouble.
The rainbow-haired rapper surprise-dropped his third studio album Friday titled "Leyenda Viva," which translates to "Living Legend" in English.
The project is predominately in Spanish across its 11 tracks (save for the occasional "suck my d***") and features Latin Grammy-winning superstar Lenier on 7 of them.
6ix9ine abandons the drill sound in favor of tropical-tinged vibes with a twist of reggaeton ... much closer to his Mexican/Puerto Rican roots than ever before.
The new wave of music marks 6ix9ine's first full-length release in nearly 3 years ... and since he suffered a brutal beatdown inside a Miami L.A. Fitness gym in March.
It appears he's now healthy enough to promote the album and hop on the goldmine that is Latin trap, the popularity of which jumped 34% in the last two years ago among U.S. listeners ... while hip hop has struggled to produce a No. 1 anything for the first time in 30 years.

Ja Morant Suspended 25 Games ... After 2nd Gun Incident

8:27 AM PT -- Ja Morant just addressed the suspension ... saying, "I've had time to reflect and I realize how much hurt I've caused. I want to apologize to the NBA, the Grizzlies, my teammates and the city of Memphis."
Morant also directly apologized to Silver, Grizzlies owner Robert Pera and GM Zach Kleiman for "the harm I've done" ... and shared his regret to his young fans.
"To the kids who look up to me, I'm sorry for failing you as a role model. I promise I'm going to be better."
Morant said he will spend his time away to focus on his mental health and decision making ... and will continue to train to be ready to go when his suspension is over.
"I hope you'll give me the chance to prove to you over time I'm a better man than what I've been showing you."
Ja Morant will miss more than a quarter of the 2023-24 NBA season as a result of his second gun-flashing incident -- the league just slapped the Memphis Grizzlies star with a 25-game suspension.
Adam Silver announced the punishment just minutes ago ... saying, "Ja Morant’s decision to once again wield a firearm on social media is alarming and disconcerting given his similar conduct in March for which he was already suspended eight games."
"The potential for other young people to emulate Ja's conduct is particularly concerning. Under these circumstances, we believe a suspension of 25 games is appropriate and makes clear that engaging in reckless and irresponsible behavior with guns will not be tolerated."
Ja Morant Apologizes For Gun Video, Vows To Seek Help
Morant was initially suspended without pay after showing a gun while at a Colorado strip club in March ... which he later apologized for and vowed to seek help.
Just two months later, the All-Star was spotted holding a weapon during an Instagram Live session with his friend.
The suspension begins immediately ... and Ja is forbidden from attending any team events, including preseason games prior to the start of the 2023-24 campaign in October.
The punishment will also hurt Morant's pockets -- he will lose approximately $12 million in salary during his time away from the court.
"For Ja, basketball needs to take a back seat at this time," Silver added. "Prior to his return to play, he will be required to formulate and fulfill a program with the league that directly addresses the circumstances that led him to repeat this destructive behavior."
There were rumors Morant's team was claiming the gun shown in the video was actually fake ... but the Association said Friday it concluded the firearm was real.
As part of the punishment, Morant will be required to meet certain conditions before he will get the green light to return to the court.
If he hits the criteria, Morant will be available to play in December.

Antonio Brown's tenure as owner of the Albany Empire has hit an all-time low -- the ex-NFL star's team was just kicked out of the National Arena League.
The organization announced the decision on Thursday ... saying Brown repeatedly failed to pay his team's monthly assessments, which are used to support the league's operating budget.
In a statement, the NAL explained the Empire made its first assessment payment in April, but it was later challenged. The Super Bowl champ's team then refused to cough up the money in May.
The league says it was in contact with Brown's accountant, who claimed his client did not plan to fulfill his assessment responsibilities, nor would he pay a $1,000 fine he was handed for Conduct Detrimental to the League after recent comments he made.
The NAL held an emergency phone conference with the other team owners to address the fiasco ... and decided to give Brown until noon on Thursday to make up the payments, which he did not.
As a result, the league has severed ties with the Empire.

Daniel Penny Man Who Killed Jordan Neely on NYC Subway Indicted By Grand Jury

2:56 PM PT -- We've confirmed the charge Daniel Penny has been indicted on is the same one he was booked for ... 2nd-degree manslaughter.
Daniel Penny -- the man who choked Jordan Neely to death on an NYC subway -- has been indicted by a grand jury.
The ex-marine has now been formally charged as a result of his arrest last month -- when he was booked on a 2nd-degree manslaughter charge ... it's not yet clear if the indictment charges are the same ones he was booked on.
Like we said ... the exact charges in the indictment are unknown at this point. It appears they’ll remain under seal until he appears in court at a later date.
There's been a lot of discourse over Penny's arrest. Some see it as justice -- including Neely's family, who want this guy prosecuted to the full extent of the law ... saying he acted as a vigilante that day and took things way too far with his prolonged chokehold.
Others, however, are saying Penny shouldn’t face charges for acting as what they describe as essentially a good Samaritan. There are reports Neely was harassing folks down in the subway that day ... and that Penny stepped in to protect others.
Of course, there's a race element that's been floated as well. Neely was Black, and Penny is white -- and there are folks who believe his actions may have been motivated by the color of Neely's skin ... although, Penny has strongly denied that, insisting he was just trying to do the right thing.
Regardless, he’ll now he'll have to navigate the criminal justice system. It's unclear when he's due in court again. It goes without saying ... Neely's death has sparked protests, and in some cases -- things have gotten tumultuous with cops.
