The Met Gala is back after a year off due to COVID, and it looks like the stars were chomping at the bit to put on their best suits and dresses in a return to normalcy.

This year's hosts include Keke Palmer, Billie Eilish, Amanda Gorman, Timothee Chalamet and Naomi Osaka -- and they've already arrived in with their own getups ... which were eye-popping and extravagant.

Some of the stars expected to show include Rihanna, J Lo, Kim K, Emily Ratajkowski, Camila Cabello, Lupita N'yongo, Beyonce, Addison Rae and more. This year's theme is "In America: A Lexicon of Fashion" -- so we'll see wears to rep that.

We know what you're thinking ... what about the Delta variant? There are strict protocols in place to help mitigate that -- including requirements for proof of vaccination prior to showing up, not to mention a negative COVID test as well. Masks indoors are also required.

Remember -- last year's Met Gala got scrapped altogether due to the pandemic ... so, it's been a year-plus since folks have been able to flex their fashion muscles anew.

Here's a 22-year-old version of the singer sporting a time-appropriate velour tracksuit and fresh face at the World Music Awards in Monaco back in 2002 (left). This is the same year she released her self-titled debut album that featured the smash hits "Foolish," "Happy" and "Baby."

And, nearly two decades later ... the artist -- who also dabbles in acting and fashion -- was photographed at her long-time friend Fat Joe's birthday party with a stylish top knot and floral gown in NYC last month (right).

To all those Chiefs fans who ain't feeling Travis Kelce's new baby-face look, we're sorry in advance ... 'cause the K.C. star tells TMZ Sports he might go beard-less -- ALL YEAR!!!

The 31-year-old broke down the plans for his facial fuzz out at LAX this week ... saying even though he got roasted for whipping out the razor recently -- he might just keep the fresh-faced drip all season.

What's interesting, though ... Kelce actually had some stubble going when we got him -- but he insisted that was merely a temporary thing.

"Nah, I haven't got a cut in a while," Kelce told us.

As for why he initially decided to trim his famous fur -- which he's become known for in his rise to NFL stardom in Kansas City -- he said bluntly, "Sometimes you gotta see your face!"

When we asked if he planned to keep that mentality all season, he added ... "We'll see!"

Beard or not ... we're pretty sure Kelce's going to ball out this season -- and he clearly feels the same way, telling us before jetting away from the airport, "We gon' get after it, baby!"

You know it's New York Fashion Week when every celeb in town brings their A-game, style-wise ... and Amelia Hamlin's arriving with an added motivation.

The inaugural Revolve Gallery went down Thursday night at Hudson Yards in NYC, and Amelia, Megan Fox, Paris Hilton, Lori Harvey, Shanina Shaik and Emily Ratajkowski were all front and center.

Scott Disick's ex was rocking a black midriff-baring outfit ... along with a ton of post-breakup hotness. As we told you, there's a dispute about who actually pulled the plug on their relationship, but one thing's for sure ... he might have regrets if he's looking at these shots of Amelia.

Kylie Jenner's still in the early stages of her second pregnancy, but it already seems like she'll be a lot less private this time around ... because she's out flaunting her bun in the oven.

Kylie publicly debuted her new baby bump Wednesday night as she stepped out in NYC in a short, form-fitting white dress and a duster ... a fitting look to attend New York Fashion Week.

Of course, she also posted several photos of herself getting ready to go out ... prompting all sorts of "hot mama"-type comments.

As we reported ... Kylie officially announced she's expecting her second child with Travis Scott the other day with a short video documenting the first stages of her pregnancy.

The vid included a trip to the doctor with their daughter, Stormi, to get an ultrasound, as well as the moment she delivered the news to her mom, Kris Jenner.

Kim Kardashian going to dinner mid-week isn't just a meal -- it's a head-to-toe fashion event ... especially when she's celebrating her friend's born day.

The middle K sis went out for a bite Tuesday night at Nobu in Malibu, where she was joined by her mom, Kris Jenner, and Corey Gamble ... who were all on hand to help celeb florist Jeff Leatham ring in the big 5-0.

Vanessa Bryant -- who is also very close with Leatham -- also shared a photo from inside the party with Kris and Corey.

Despite it being Jeff's day, it was Kim who upstaged everyone ... 'cause she showed up for chow in an eye-popping black ensemble, complete with a freakin' cape! Looks like she might've had a little 'Matrix' fever here or something.

Anyway, cool to see her out and about -- feels like it's been a while since Kim's done dinner like this. She and Jeff are good palls ... they even rolled out a series of fragrances together earlier this year.

So, the occasion called for a "dress to impress" outfit and, as usual, Kim didn't disappoint.

Brielle Biermann looks like she's had a rough couple of weeks following surgery, but she says recovery's actually going smoothly ... and she can't wait to eat pizza like a normal person.

Kim Zolciak-Biermann's daughter says she had double jaw surgery a couple weeks ago, but that it was NOT an aesthetic procedure ... but to improve her quality of life.

According to the "Don't Be Tardy" star ... she suffered from TMJ and a significant overbite due to sucking her thumb for years, which resulted in her having major biting and breathing issues.

Brielle writes ... "Have you ever thought about what it's like to not be able to bite into pizza? or omg trying to bite into an onion on a burger? impossible for me. I had to use my tongue to help me chew and almost choked every time I ate."

So, she says she needed the surgery to correct her problems but was very scared, but her family, friends and support system came through for her ... along with her doctors.

Brielle says the first 2 weeks of recovery were supposed to be the hardest, but it's been "easy breezy" ... despite what the photos and videos she posted suggest!!!

Jennifer Lopez was letting it all hang out this weekend for Dolce & Gabbana -- and that goes doubly for her outfit ... which you almost could've scanned yourself at a checkout line.

She was down in Venice Saturday for a fashion show put on by the luxury brand -- and they decked her out in the ultimate Your Highness getup that they had on the rack ... a flowery 3-piece ensemble consisting of black pants, a crop top and a freakin' cape (Batman-style).

Sure looked good on her, no doubt -- but as Jen made her way down a dock to a waiting boat along St. Mark's Square en route to the shindig ... an unremoved price tag flashed.

Yep ... you could clearly see the barcode attached to the inside of the cape -- and while the actual price wasn't visible, it still looked pretty tacky. Of course, this is something JL was likely lent for the ball-like event ... but a label like this makes it all the more obvious. Oof ...

Jenny didn't seem to mind, though ... because she didn't really see it or notice, it appears. And, with a faux pas like this, "ignorance is bliss" is definitely the motto. See no evil, right?!

Here is a 40-year-old version of the beautiful babe at the premiere of "Legally Blonde" in Los Angeles, CA back in 2001 (left). That same year Coolidge also starred in "Down to Earth," "Zoolander" and "American Pie 2."

And, 20 years later ... the actress -- who is spending this weekend celebrating her 60th birthday -- is currently starring in HBO's 'White Lotus,' and was recently seen looking platinum at the premiere of the show in Los Angeles just last month (right).

Erika Jayne's estranged husband's legal problems are now an even bigger problem for her -- she's been sued for $25 million by the trustee handling Tom Girardi's law firm's bankruptcy case.

According to the suit ... "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star's accused of knowingly allowing Girardi's firm to pay for her expenses for 12 years, so the trustee now wants her to pay it all back.

The "XXPEN$IVE" singer's company, EJ Global, allegedly used her estranged husband's firm to cover her American Express bill, pay assistants and have a glam squad ... all totaling up to the whopping $25 mil.

The trustee suing Jayne says that even if she claims to have not been aware of Girardi's financial issues, "it would be a miscarriage of justice if [she] was allowed to simply walk completely free of owing over $25,000,000 to the Estate."

The trustee's asking the court to order her to pay it all back to the estate, plus interest ... according to Page Six

Kim Kardashian West is saying nay to Ye ... she's not following Kanye West's lead in the name change department.

Sources close to the former couple tell TMZ … Kim will not eliminate West from her name. TMZ broke the story, Kanye's applied for a name change and he'll 86 Kanye West for Ye ... simply Ye.

We're told Kim feels it's important for her to keep the same last name as her 4 children ... and there are no plans to change North, Psalm, Chicago and Saint's last names, either.

While Kim's not following Kanye's lead, we're told she fully supports his desire to go by "Ye" ... he's been known as Ye for years, and we're told Kim thinks people will still recognize him as Kanye West, even though he’s changing his legal moniker.

As we told you ... Kim's been supporting Kanye, despite their divorce, and they're keeping the family unit strong.

Kim Kardashian went to L.A.'s finest to get rid of the sun and dark spots on her face.

Kim hit up celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Ashkan Ghavami in L.A. where she revealed she's been undergoing a laser treatment called Potenza Radio Frequency Microneedling.

She posted video of herself explaining the procedure and gave the good doc -- who has treated the likes of Amber Rose and Iggy Azalea -- a shout-out from inside his office. She wore an all-black tight outfit and some Yeezy shoes.

The laser treatment -- which can cost upwards of $2,300 -- consists of ultrafine needles and radio frequency energy to penetrate the skin. This process triggers the skin's natural repair process ... resulting in the skin looking smooth, supple and tight. The treatment can also be used to treat uneven skin tone, scarring, blemishes and stretch marks, among other things.

But, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end took the heat in stride ... by simply adding his scruff back to his face with some world-class Photoshop skills!!

31-year-old Kelce was the center of a ton of jokes after rocking his new baby face at practice this week ... with people demanding he grow his facial hair back immediately.

There was a copious amount of cracks on Twitter ... including these gems:

Kelce -- who's arguably one of the more handsome fellas in the league when he has a beard -- proved he can laugh through all the hate ... by changing his avatar to include a scribbled James Harden-esque scruff to make everyone happy again.

Rihanna's put in the work and she's got plenty o' Fenty money -- so much that she's officially a billionaire ... and then some!!!

According to Forbes ... the famous singer is now worth a whopping $1.7 billion -- making her the richest female musician in the world -- but most of it is not a result of her music.

Instead, Rihanna's 2017 launch of Fenty Beauty -- her real name is Robyn Fenty -- with a mission of being more inclusive of all women has been a huge success ... and grown into a cosmetics empire.

Forbes says the bulk of her fortune -- an estimated $1.4 billion -- comes from Fenty, of which she owns 50 percent. The rest is linked to her spin-off lingerie company, Savage x Fenty, and the remaining millions come from her music career.

Of course, Rihanna's beauty brand aspect makes you think of Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner, who also reached billionaire status thanks to their cosmetics and fashion lines. Though, Kylie's story came with a little more controversy.

Either way, Rihanna's blown past them both, and according to Forbes is the world's second-richest female entertainer ... just behind Oprah.
