Ex-Dolphins LB Channing Crowder Tyreek Hill Is NFL's MVP This Year

TYREEK HILL IS #1
TMZSports.com

It ain't Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts or Lamar Jackson ... no, the NFL's MVP this year is Tyreek Hill!!

At least, that's what Channing Crowder is saying, telling TMZ Sports this week the Miami wideout has just been that good this season.

"He is the best player at his position in the NFL right now," Crowder said.

Of course, Crowder might have some bias in him -- after all, he did play all six of his NFL seasons with the Dolphins -- but his argument is one that's certainly hard to go against.

Through 10 games so far, Hill already has 1,222 receiving yards, nine touchdowns and 79 catches -- marks that have him on pace to break nearly every single-season record for a wide receiver.

Crowder says in his mind that's enough to put him over guys like Mahomes, Hurts, Jackson and the rest of the NFL's star quarterbacks for the league's most coveted award.

"When you're talking about the Dolphins," Crowder said, "and their best player being Tyreek Hill, he has to be the MVP."

Hill will have the chance to bolster his resume in front of a national audience at 12 PM PT today ... as Tyreek's Dolphins will take on the Jets in the league's first-ever Black Friday game.

Barbra Streisand My Hubby's Pillow Talk ... Inspired Aerosmith Song!!!

Barbra Streisand's life didn't just inspire her hits -- it apparently led to others reaping the benefits of chart success ... including Aerosmith, which rode the coattails of her pillow talk.

According to Barb's new memoir, 'My Name is Barbra,' Steven Tyler and co. have her to thank for their hugely popular single "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" ... 'cause she says the inspiration from the song actually came from something her husband once told her in bed.

The way BS tells it ... she and her then-BF James Brolin were laying next to each other one night (sometime in the mid-'90s) not long after they'd first met/started hooking up.

She says they were staring at each other, when JB said ... "I don't want to fall asleep." She asked why and he replied, "'Cause I'll miss you.'" Barb adds ... "What a beautiful, poetic thing to say. And it captured a moment of complete bliss… physical, emotional, spiritual."

About a year after that, in 1997, Barbra says she was doing an interview with Barbara Walters on "20/20," during which she recounted that sweet moment ... something Diane Warren was also watching from home when this episode aired, so claims Barbra.

One thing led to another, and DW eventually wrote Aerosmith's first #1 hit in '98 ... which went on to be used in "Armageddon" and be nominated for an Oscar that year too.

After seeing how much success the song garnered, Barbra writes ... "It was so gratifying to see so many people responding to Jim's words. Well, no wonder… so did I!"

Super cool story!

No quiero dormirme (I don't want to fall asleep)".

"I WAS NERVOUS"

Wynonna Judd clung to Jelly Roll during their performance Wednesday night at the Country Music Awards -- and now her fans are worried something is wrong with her.

The country music legend hit the stage with JR to sing a duet of Jelly's tune, "Need A Favor," at the 2023 CMA Awards in Nashville.

At one point, Wynonna walked over to Jelly and grabbed his arm, giving off the impression she needed help to stay on her feet. It's unclear if Wynonna was experiencing some type of health issue, but she was able to polish off the song and leave the stage on her own.

Still, her fans took to social media and voiced their concerns after watching her seemingly unsteady performance. Remember, Wynonna lost her iconic mother, Naomi, to suicide in 2022, so she's had a rough time lately.

One fan wrote on X, "She could barely walk. She took baby steps."

Another one asked, "Am I the only one concerned for @Wynonna."

A third person observed, "Something is wrong with her. Hope she is ok. Wynonna Judd is holding on to Jelly Roll for dear life #CMAawards."

Peyton Manning, Luke Bryan Clown NY Jets With Taylor Swift Joke ... Hilarious CMAs Open

It took just seconds for Peyton Manning and Luke Bryan to talk about Taylor Swift during the CMAs on Wednesday ... and, unfortunately for New York fans, the reference led to a hilarious crack about how terrible the Jets have been this year.

The NFL Hall of Famer and the country music star hosted the annual awards show ... and as part of their roles as anchors, the two gave an opener full of jokes.

Of course, that meant there was definitely a mention of Swift and her new relationship with Travis Kelce ... which then turned into a jab at the 4-4 Jets.

"Luke," Manning said into the mic onstage, "you know the difference between Taylor Swift and the New York Jets?"

"Uh, Taylor can sell out a stadium?" Bryan responded ... before Manning cracked, "You nailed it!"

The barb was met with a mix of laughs and groans -- before Manning chuckled, "I had you do that punchline, Luke, so I wouldn't get in trouble."

The duo's opener also included Peyton singing some country music classics ... as well as a quip about Eli Manning getting a face tattoo in honor of Jelly Roll.

Hilarious stuff ... well, maybe for everyone except Zach Wilson and Robert Saleh.

Logan Paul Becomes WWE Champ After Winning Crown Jewel

Logan Paul is now a wrestling champion, 'cause the dude just won a major WWE event in Saudi Arabia... which saw him raise a gold belt in glory.

The YouTuber-turned-athlete competed Saturday in WWE's Crown Jewel over in Riyadh against Rey Mysterio ... and he ultimately emerged victorious from after taking a pummeling in the ring.

There was a lot of back and forth between and RM ... and a lot of body slams. In the end, Logan won by "punching" Rey after he jumped toward him from the ropes -- which knocked Rey out cold. The reason ... LP had quickly/stealthily thrown on a pair of brass knuckles.

Once Rey was down, Logan went to pin him ... and he successfully held him for 3 seconds.

110423-logan-paul-kal
PAUL TAKES IT ALL
WWE

It's a big moment for Logan, especially considering he's relatively new to the wrestling biz -- remember, he only officially joined in 2022 ... and now, he's already a straight-up champ. Of course, all this WWE stuff is completely preordained/staged ... so, impressive to a point.

Still, we're sure Logan's stoked about it ... 'cause him winning big now means he'll probably have a long, storied future in the promotion, assuming his body can hold up. All these storylines might be bogus -- but the damage pro wrestlers endure is most certainly real.

FWIW, there's also his boxing career that's running parallel to all this ... and there, too, he's finding quite a bit of success. Remember, he's fresh off a win against Dillon Danis.

Sounds like the deck is clear for Logan to focus on the WWE for now ... WrestleMania is half a year away, and as of now -- he doesn't have any major fights scheduled in the near future

2023 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Celeb-Fueled Induction Ceremony Sheryl Crow, Willie Nelson, Missy Elliott, Etc.

Some of the biggest names in music were honored at the 2023 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Friday night -- as a slew of artists put on memorable performances.

The 38th Annual star-studded event was held at the Barclays Center in NYC and, for the first time, was streamed live on Disney+ to highlight all of this year's winners.

To say the least, the list of inductees was impressive: Missy Elliott, Chaka Khan, Sheryl Crow, George Michael (posthumously), Willie Nelson, Rage Against the Machine, Kate Bush and The Spinners. Among the evening's entertainers were Rock icons Elton John and Jimmy Page.

Actress Laura Dern kicked off the ceremony, giving the first award to Crow while labeling her a “badass goddess.”

Crow then performed three of her hits, “If It Makes You Happy,” "Strong Enough" and "Everyday." Olivia Rodrigo, Stevie Nicks and Peter Frampton each jumped in separately to assist on the songs.

Chaka Khan also put on a mesmerizing show after accepting the "Musical Excellence Award" from R&B singer Jazmine Sullivan.

Chaka played 3 of her famous tunes, “I Feel You,” “Ain’t Nobody” and “I’m Every Woman." H.E.R., Sia and Common joined in to add their soulful voices.

Perhaps the most unforgettable moment was when Willie Nelson was inducted and performed with several other icons -- Crow, Dave Matthews and Chris Stapleton. Nelson and Co. featured a few of his most recognizable songs, “Whiskey River," “Crazy” and “On the Road Again.”

As for George Michael, he, too, was honored in a big way. The late Wham! frontman was dubbed “one of the greatest singers of our time” by his former band member, Andrew Ridgeley.

Miguel, Adam Levine and Carrie Underwood brought down the house with their renditions of Michael's “Careless Whisper,” “Faith” and “One More Try.”

Rock on, people!!

Kate Bush Skipping R&R HOF Ceremony ... Thx for the 💗, But Yeah No

Kate Bush is being ushered into rock and roll history alongside some great artists who'll share the honor ... but they won't share the stage with her, 'cause she's bowing out.

The British singer-songwriter -- who was huge in the '80s, and who recently gained popularity again through "Stranger Things" -- is one of many who are set to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Friday night in Brooklyn ... but she seems to be the only one who won't be there in person.

Kate posted a lengthy statement addressing her being included in this year's class, saying she's completely grateful and humbled ... noting her hit song, "Running Up That Hill," put her back in the spotlight again thanks to Netflix.

She writes, "Last year was such a surprisingly successful time for my track ['RUTH'] and I’m sure that a lot of you who’ve voted me in to the RRHOF also drove that track up the charts. Thank you!" Then, she hits everyone with somewhat unsurprising news.

KB adds, "I’m afraid I won’t be able to attend the ceremony tonight, but for me the real honour is knowing that you felt I deserved it." Kate doesn't address why she's bailing -- but she does extend a lot of compliments to the other artists who'll be enshrined ... specifically pointing out Bernie Taupin, Elton John's writing partner, as one who's quite deserving.

The other inductees, aside from the above-mentioned ones, include ... Sheryl Crow, Missy Elliott, George Michael, Willie Nelson, Rage Against the Machine and The Spinners. As far as we can tell, they're all expected to show face ... but unfortunately, Kate's seat will be empty.

Of course, Kate does have a bit of a rep for being elusive/reclusive -- so the fact she's opting out here might not be a total shocker for longtime fans of hers. It's funny ... not even a fan fave like 'ST' could bring her out of her shell. Just goes to show -- Kate stays true!

If 2023's show is anything like last year's ... it'll be a big fat jam fest. Congrats, all!
